The flowers they give you after they fuck up royally have been stolen from someone's garden. They will probably proudly announce this fact and tell you how smart that is. "Why would I pay for something that's just going to die anyway?"

Don't apologise for sharing your story. I recognised a lot of myself in this and I am so glad you realised this is your father's problem he made yours.

He just wanted someone to listen to his woes maybe get laid or nudes and then to ✌ out when he is finished. A month later you'll get another Wyd text again with his issues. This (I hope.you know) is no reflection on you or your worth. Onwards and upwards!

I understand the urge to bond one on one with someone who is yours and gets you. Whenever I get mopey or a little lonely, I think about Rihanna. That woman has her pick. Let's face it. But she is single because she has so much to focus on. So I find other things to focus on. It helps with that feeling. :)

I think it was growing up poor and seeing where it got women in particular plus my own conga line of shitty relationships that got me wise. I am always growing and learning because I don't see what other choice I have. It's is like when I see lawsuits against people that have stolen their partner's money and spent it on whatever. No matter how right the wronged partner is, they aren't getting that cash back. Instead we have to be vigilant even though it shouldn't be this way. I am so glad you li…

Exactly. I SO agree with you . I think many especially younger women see an ex wife who seems a bit tired and snippy with the ex husband their new bf and think 'no wonder he divorced her! Shes always miserable!' But in my experience, most of the time shes just had many years of it and doesn't want him back. I got sick of always being the carer. At first I equated my worth as a person in making others happy. Blame that on a horrific childhood or whatever but I needed to be needed. I also just wan…

Growing older rules in so many ways. Oh I love it. I love it so much. Please take care of yourself. Your health as much as you can and your mind. You really only do get one. ❤

Save. Your. Time. And. Your. Money. Read that again. And again. It will be much easier to give up your autonomy and let someone else take over your life. I am going to be real here. Downvote away if you must. As a young woman in your 20s being in your 20s is an asset for a time. Any fool (esp an older one) indeed groups of them are all too willing to compliment you and tell you how mature you are. If you came from a bad home or have low self esteem etc etc you might fall for it like I did. I wen…

A degree. Classic cars are so amazing. My dream car is a 61 Thunderbird :D. I have a lot of brothers (who did not have to attend aforementioned etiquette lessons) and they taught me about cars on the sly. My son is a car nut and I am glad for it. As I gor older all of the 'no one will want to marry yoooou if you do x' I went from 'oh no' to 'eh'.

Kids aren't a good substitute for when you're afraid of being lonely. Being a mother, my kid brings me great joy. But tbh I have felt very alone while dealing with a screaming baby, a defiant child, when they are sick, the kid years when they are developing their personalities, tween years, teen years and then onto their next stage. They may then build their own families and you won't be the main planet in their solar system. I know it is terrifying to see news reports of an old lady dying alone…

38f here. After a breakup with a clown, I was lonely and it was hard. Really hard. I had to stop wanting those little breadcrumbs of someone -anyone- wanting me so I could say 'look! I AM desirable!' I thought I needed those to prove I was worthy or not worthless at least. I was so used to convincing myself that I really did love karate or call of duty or whatever it just took this guy to bring it out of me. I used to mold myself to what he wanted. But isnt that what you do? Compromise. Be nice.…

You don't want to end up with a 🤡 stay away from this circus. I know what you're thinking. That if we all fully knew how deep your 'connection' was and how you could talk for hours and how you just 'got' each other and the many, many ways that he COULD be ready for love but, he's (insert your excuses here) we wouldn't be so cavalier with the block him advice. Instead block him and level up by learning a new language or skill.
