Realizing that hating someone affects only you. The other person couldn’t care less. Don’t give her that kind of power over you.

Yes, smacking someone in the face with a brick, as you do with your post, is helpful.

Anonymous letters and anonymous communications are often ignored. If you want an accusation to really be taken seriously, say it yourself. I’d put information about the affair in your court filings, so that they are a public record and so that they’ll have credibility (your lawyer will check them all to confirm that they are true before your lawyer will allow them in court filings). Then once the divorce is over, send those to her.

It may be a violation of company policy.

I’d report to HR now. What if they break up tomorrow?

No, don’t let her have the kids at all unless your lawyer says it’s ok. If you’re seeking custody but giving her the kids, that weakens your position.

Get a dog. That will give more companionship during your search.

I have the same issue. For me, I don’t yell at people or express anger to people, but I will yell and pound a table if I am all alone, out of frustration. But others can probably hear me. So maybe the goal for me will work for you: expressing anger only when in a place where nobody else will hear it.

Assaulting someone is never an acceptable way to respond. I don’t feel sorry for him. He could have taken the high road. But he didn’t.

Definitely report it to the IRS and mention it in any court filings.

Well, the ex-wife did nothing wrong, but understood.

Thanks. I’d just like for his ex to help a bit. I have zero interest in ever seeing the former friend or ever having anything to do with the former friend again, even in court. But you’re exactly right.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
