As much as I think I’d like to …I don’t think I would….don’t have the head space for it ….I’ll get by baiting until it’s final

Like others say boundaries….the sex just muddies the real problems. Mine takes no ownership of anything negative or abusive that she contributed to the relationship….always a victim…always my fault…I’m the only one who needs to change or be worked on. Opened my eyes to that nonsense…at least yours tried counseling my wouldn’t even do that because she can’t possibly be held accountable. She asked for the divorce and said she wants to see other people, I said ok (no more sex)…she is dragging and d…

What are some things you did wrong? What could have you done better? Was it all her fault? Narcissists struggle to answer these ….blame shift, play the victim, take no accountability, typically refuse therapy ….My ex

Stayed for my kids the last 2 years ….just gave more of me away for nothing in return….I was logical instead of trusting my instincts. You know deep down what want and need …..your heart and head can talk you into some bullshit. If I had trusted my instincts I’d been through the nonsense sooner.

So me and mine went through BRCA testing ….double mastectomy ….hysterectomy….menopause….hormone therapy…gastric sleeve for weight loss …but I’m not the co-victim in this roller coaster apparently none off this had an effect on me just her. Stuck by her …cared for her …supportive of her …I’m no saint either I’m not perfect sure I missed something just as she did, but Dr. Jekyll turned into Mr. Hyde …narcissistic traits cropped up, hive mind social media…same story others post on here. No credit f…

One person can only make solo effort in a relationship for so long, eventually the cup is empty and there’s nothing left to pour. Perimenopause is a motherfucker but self sacrifice for an extended period, isn’t love. Took me 2 years to realize bending and contorting myself only added to the toxicity. Menopause brought on a lot of narcissistic traits and a lot of projection. It doesn’t absolve me of wrongdoing or poor decisions but you can’t allow yourself to come last in this scenario because sh…

Feel for ya man I’m in the same boat ….too many little dots connecting. Even if she isn’t having sex with someone…she basically is eventually and doesn’t respect what you want or the marriage. Don’t be a participant in your own humiliation.

I divorced a narcissist …kids were 6 and 8 and it ain’t pretty constantly talked shit and dressed me down. I took the high road never spoke ill, refused to fight and argue, limited interaction and kept them as brief and to the point as possible if I had to interact . By the time my kids were in their teens they knew. It’s ugly and painful but at least I feel better about myself and how I handled it, and my kids respect my patience, restraint and ability to handle her difficult personality with g…

Social media selfishness….the desire to have what they see other women have….the fear of missing out.

Get a vasectomy stat! Then go nuts. For some reason the words “sorry I just got out of a long relationship and have zero interest in another one right now , but we can hang out “ is an aphrodisiac for women on the prowl.

For me the standing up for yourself is/was paramount….spent a lot of the marriage go along with shit to make her happy and still ended up hosed. Bitches are crazy! You get zero credit for faithfulness or reliability.

It’s so bizarre to me how the want to be taken care of yet dictate how that looks. They want you to protect them but be a strong independent woman. They want what they see other women want the fear of missing out is out of control.

Agreed….worry about you because she will certainly worry about herself and not you. Therapy helps …. Confirms you’re not crazy.

I stayed for my kids, not because of her guilting or manipulating me, although she did. If not for the kids I wouldn’t have lasted as long. Over time the resentment grew and now she wants the divorce. So being with her if you truly don’t just makes what you truly want take longer. Pain now or pain later either way it’s there.

I don’t have young ones but my 15yr old is special needs so young in a lot of ways. Been white knuckling it for a while, forcing it has been a roller coaster. IMO it’s better for little ones to see a functional relationship than an unhealthy one (but I can’t seem to take my own advice). Me and my wife are on eggshells….keeping tally of one another’s shortcomings and mistakes. Both unapologetic and just wanting to live and be happy. But honestly I want mutual appreciation and reciprocal respect n…

52 here feel your pain…changes and stresses in life and my relationship didn’t stay tethered. We have different value sets on a lot of things and probably better apart truthfully . What is nuts is I still want to try, she wont get couples therapy, just too far gone I guess. Men are fixers but not everything can be fixed. This late in life feels like the end of the world. She was gone for work for a couple days, I bought flowers and a card, wrote a letter about not giving up and left it by her be…
