She's cheating and doesn't know I know.Sure. My eyes are wide open. I have some reasons to try. We had specific issues that we had both acknowledged but never addressed in the busyness of raising kids. If we get help with that and it still fails, then I'm probably still better off with myself or in any future relationship for having worked on it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/03/26 12:50 AM
She's cheating and doesn't know I know.Update: Thanks for all responses and support. To my surprise, wife claims no desire or intent to end up with the guy permanently, and is in favor of trying to reconcile with professional help. Since I think that’s the best net outcome for all the innocent parties, even if it costs me some pride, divorce is tabled. We’ve clarified that the kids are the only priority for each of us in whatever happens next. I don’t believe everything she says right now but I do believe that. I’m not worried about … | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/03/26 07:51 PM
She's cheating and doesn't know I know.As nice as that would be, 'steady' isn't in her vocabulary. She can do more harm than good right now. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/03/26 08:08 PM
She's cheating and doesn't know I know.I spoke with a good local attorney and he had no problem with the idea of approaching her prior to filing, as long as I’ve secured anything personal in the house and we are ready to file right afterward if it doesn’t go well. I have some hope that this can be civil, as our relationship has always been even in bad times, and serving her without a conversation seems to set a tone that I don’t want to set. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/03/26 05:14 PM
She's cheating and doesn't know I know.Kids are young enough to be the overriding consideration. I'd put up with a lot to keep them with both of us for some number of years, while also avoiding child support and disruptive custody arrangements. There is not going to be any denying. Context clues suggest maybe they haven't had sex yet, which checks out with what I know, but have flirted with it and will get there soon enough. I have proof of everything short of that physically, and an emotional attachment that looks like a lot to over… | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/03/26 03:49 PM
She's cheating and doesn't know I know.Lawyers have been a little slow to respond, and there are multiple reasons, both practical family logistics and my own sanity, that I don’t really want to play this game for weeks or longer. What do I stand to lose if I confront her before retaining a lawyer? I don’t expect her to be vindictive about this, but of course I didn’t expect a lot of things. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/03/26 02:19 PM
She's cheating and doesn't know I know.It might be fair, but I just don’t have that kind of interest in her, and our worldviews related to something like this are going to be light years apart. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/03/26 01:27 PM

She's cheating and doesn't know I know.Of course. I just want to protect my own interests as best I can first. Actually more than a little concerned she’ll blow it up before I’m ready, because she’s pretty sharp and they’re being sloppy. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/03/26 11:43 AM
