Don't do it. It's confusing and unfair to him. Go to a public place and if you decide to be more intimate there you can hold hands or acceptable PDA cuddling. Save your money on a bootcamp. Pay a friend $30/hr to stand there, yell at you, and push you to approach. Use the rest of the money (I think bootcamps cost 2-3K) and hire a real coach for 3-6 months to give you a real foundation for game. Definitely helps a lot. Been gaming on and off for a decade. I've gone sober a few times, but it's tough and in an environment where everyone else is getting loose. That said, you don't want it to become a crutch and definitely don't want to start getting drunk every time. It's gonna mask some AA that will always be there if you don't tackle it though. I would say to work on daygame to reduce AA and then have 1-2 beers when going out at night.

A coach can be a guide and a motivator. Just like personal trainer. Or you could get two different ones. Most of my guys have no problem, but for guys that need a push - that’s what they need - simply a push. Could be from a good friend. Or give the friend $100 to keep until the approaches are done. The guide is the hard part. Knowing what to do, how to do, and how to fix a student’s problems. That’s what I do.

I think it's pretty obvious. I just think through what it affects. Saying "I want something serious" when I just want a hookup could hurt her, so I won't do it. Small lie that won't hurt is "Sorry, I was busy with X yesterday" when I was doing something else. Big lie would be "I'm 30" when I'm really 40. That won't hurt her, but the second she finds out she won't trust me anymore and likely get rid of me.

This is wrong. Self-deprecating humor works great BUT it has to be said with confidence and it has to be funny. This is because the point is light-heartedness and ego-removal.
