I made a comment among friends, that I should start dating 21, and 22 year olds again, because all the women my age (32) are more or less dumpster fires. Dudes girlfriend started getting defensive, about how it's creepy, and anyone younger than 26-26 Is too young. Basically "Date women rapidly approaching the wall so I don't feel bad about myself."

I'm a union electrician. I usually say I make lightning, or something to that effect. I worry that between my pay, and benefits, between the killer insurance and pensions, that I come off as beta bux material to these bitches. Single mothers are the absolute worst it seems.

Too easy for that to turn into rape accusations when the bitch blacks out, and regrets her decision in the morning. As much as it does help.

I'm 32 as of now. In my 5th year of apprenticeship. I forgot to mention that earlier.

Definitely time. Lots of guys in their 50's have started the apprenticeship program. Beware. The program can take five plus years to get through apprenticeship. You need strong math and science skills too.

I am. In certain situations, there's no alternative to working with live power, but 95%+ of the time, the circuits aren't live. Electrocuted is where you die from electric shock too, btw. There's shocked, bit, zapped, lit up, etc. Still not good.

There is in certain situations, but safety is HUGE in the trades these days. For someone to get hurt, it was an unfortunate chain of events, or not following the rules/stupidity. There's far too much money to lose if someone dies, or is disfigured.

Worst trade deal, in the history of trade deals. Maybe ever.

Get in a union trade. Around here $41+ an hour for a journeyman electrician, with killer benefits.

Thanks for this. Something I very much needed to read.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
