I worked as a contractor as a recruiter for a ship repair yard. I got told by my HR Director in my face that she would never hire me directly cause she only hires women and if she would have had a say, I wouldn't have been brought on the contract. After I left, I found out a bunch of the hiring managers made a push to the GM to hire me directly, but he stayed firm that the HR Director made that call.

I can confirm that if you don't register for selective service you can't work for the government. Not even as a contractor.

And why would men need to reflect on what we’ve done? What did we do wrong now?

It’s amazing it’s now deemed unconstitutional once women are being considered for the draft.

There’s more to life and success than college. If you enjoy working with your hands pick a trade. The costs are low and you’ll have that paid off before you know it, plus trades can become quite lucrative.

I’m jealous. Everyone else is getting banned from there by not doing anything and I’m sitting here wondering when I’ll get mine!

That’s something I never understood about woman and how they react to wearing the same outfit. I’ve seen guys become best friends for life because they show up to something wearing the same outfits.

People, people. In my opinion you are forgetting to one true lady badass from back in the day: Zoe Washburn from Firefly.

Nah. For me.... gta. Only way I get to use a hooker and kill her to get my money back. That definitely kills the urge.

Long story short: she worked with this Australian guy and she liked him. She started sleeping with him and once she got bored with him she ghosted him. When her co workers asked about their relationship she said he harassed him.

And when it does circle around and men are begged again, we will be viewed as sexist pigs who don’t care about women since we don’t want to take care of them. I’m good with that.

I have two degrees in Human Resources. For those of you who aren’t aware HR is heavy female. I happen to have a neutral first name but is often seen as a girls name. (Got tons of crap growing up). There have been times I’ve gotten emails from companies wanting to interview. It’s excited we talk on the phone they (woman) are excited to meet me and when I show up to the face to face interview I get a totally different reaction the moment they see me. One two occasions I was told that moment that t…

Have to second joining the military. Did 12 years in the Marines, saw the world, met a lot of cool people. Paid for my degrees, and learned a lot of cool shit.

I’m in that group too. I guess I’ll wait for my ban. Won’t be the first time I’ve gotten banned from one group because I’ve been in another. Edit: Spoke too soon. Just got it. Banned notification.

That’s my hope too. I keep being delusional and hope that we as humanity have realized that we are all equal. But it stuff like this that brings me back to reality.

That statement ticked me off. They want equality, they’re gonna get it on both ends. Not just when it suits them.

Not surprised at all. We don’t get credited for our attachments and emotions. When we find a relationship we can get attached and open up only for it to scar us.

I think there’s more to the story. It kinda ticks me off that one got cleared and the other is being charged. (It should be both got the Same). But that’s just me.

It bs that the show asked him to apologize. Nick has it right by calling out those actresses for doing the same thing.

You’ve heard about the delivery team. The biggest complaint I have is this: my first name is a female’s name. It’s supposed to be gender neutral, but is never taken that way. (The assumption by others is so bad I’ve added Mr. to my email signature and that only lessens it a bit). I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve gone in to interview for a position and I get a look of confusion when they see me. One one occasion I didn’t even get a chance to have the interview because as soon as they saw me…

There is a high double standard in a lot of industries. And I say this as a HR professional. I have been consistently overruled when it comes to females being documented or written up. And now with the metoo movement it’s gotten worse. I can go on and on about some of the crap I’ve seen and experienced as a male HR professional that’s in a majority female profession they would make you wonder why women have the right to demand equality.

I’ve seen this in other retail areas. There was home improvement store (not Home Depot) that had its entire delivery team women except for the manger. (After their reorg that manager was replaced by a woman as well). When there was a delivery, the ladies would wine and complain that they needed help and would go ask the male employees to help and the girls would disappear on them. I say start documenting.

That’s how it goes. I’m in HR and early on in my career I saw that stuff happen all the time. I was blown away by it. A female does or says something and no one bats an eye. Once a male says the exact same thing, then it’s all hell breaking loose.

If you are asked a question that starts with “tell me about a time when” you want to use the STAR method to answer them. Situation- what was the issue you identified. Task- what where your responsibilities for the situation Action- what steps did you do to Correct them. Results-how did it benefit the team and company. Since mentioned it’s a supervisor position, you can expect to be asked questions on how you handled different situations that typically come up with subordinates. You could also fa…

Yeah but look how that turned out. Two countries on the verge of a nuclear war. Unfortunately the biggest difference is us/Russia relationship both groups didn’t want to cause a nuclear war. I am not so confident on the other side.

Notice they said “had sex with” and not rape. If it was a male 38 year old the wording would have been entirely different.
