That’s how it goes. I’m in HR and early on in my career I saw that stuff happen all the time. I was blown away by it. A female does or says something and no one bats an eye. Once a male says the exact same thing, then it’s all hell breaking loose.

It goes to show that witch hunts are not about the spectacle or else they’d expand the panic to women - they’re about fearful people trying to completely sate their uncontrollable fear.

Usually when people talk about double standards, they give actual examples of real double standards involving one or both of the same people, not just “but the guy would be crucified if he did the same thing.”
