If I look at a guys fb (before we are fb friends) and I can't see his pictures that doesn't bother me. My fb is set so only my friends can see my pictures. If I can see who his friends are, I will sometimes, depending on how much I care about actually finding out more about him, check out his friends profiles and see if any of them have less restrictive privacy settings on their fb. I know that people keep a lot of fb friends that aren't actually friends. So if I'm looking at a guy's friends pag…

Here is the perspective from a straight girl: fb is a very very powerful social proof tool! I look at a guys fb and I make a lot of judgments. The most important thing to ask yourself is, "do my fb photos give an accurate representation of me?". The answer should be "yes". If it is not, than untag or add more. If that funny side of you is something that is always around, regardless of if there is a camera or not, than don't worry about having all funny photos. Funny pictures are a good thing, ge…

From a girls perspective, chivalry is not dead. However, you must be very careful. If a guy is overly chivalrous or only selectively chivalrous (which shows he is not being genuine) it is a big and immediate red flag. If you are normally a chivalrous guy, keep it up! It can be very attractive.

The fact that you live with you mom doesn't really need to come up in the initial conversation. Once you have the girl hooked than you may want to say something (if your planning on taking her home that night). It only has to be a big deal if you make it such. Find a clever way to phrase it and you should be okay. It is possible to make any job sound interesting. I don't know why you would even be talking about your job. Remember, girls don't want to talk to Average-Joe. Girls want to talk to Mr…

Not going to the conference was a big mistake on your part. Even though she said that you didn't need to go, you should have gone. She insisted that you didn't have to attend because she didn't want you to feel obligated...she wanted you to want to go to the conference. I'm not surprised that it takes her a long time to reply to your messages. You have shown her that she isn't a priority in your eyes. Why should she go out of her way to reply to you in a timely manner? The more you try and be fu…

Try to come up with something less obvious. You don't want to come across as a creeper. The above statement/question must come after conversation. The opener doesn't matter. But, make sure you have a great topic to transition to.

Good point about this being pickup not a job interview. Because, I definitely noticed that I was reluctant to just jump in. Thanks for the advice.

Have you heard of the saying "Give a man fish, feed him for a day. Teach him to fish, and feed him for a lifetime"?

I know that it is odd, and perhaps confusing, to see a straight woman posting here. Please understand that the advice I am looking for is basically the same advice that my male counterparts are also seeking. I would agree that, in some ways, conventional sarging isn't the best bet for a straight woman, me. In general, I don't have to do much more than walk into an establishment and smile. I'm getting into this because I want to increase my social prowess. I will someday have the power to walk in…

I'm an attractive average. I'm getting into this, not because I can't get a guy to talk to me, but because I want to be the one in control of the interaction.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
