Hang in there. It gets much better if you allow yourself to grieve properly. After 6 weeks things really turned a corner for me. I’m a little over 2 months here and don’t miss her at all now. The house actually feels lighter without the tension. What really worked for me was getting into a routine on the days I didn’t have the kids. Planning meals, doing the Costco run, doing the housework, calling friends and family, putting in extra time at work if needed, going to therapy appointments and gro…

My therapist said the same. BPD tend to be addicted to the sex. I envy you. I'm much older and have just woken up. You have a lot more time to rebuild.

Thanks for clarifying. For me the answer appears to be codependency.

Nice! Thanks for sharing your experience. How long since the separation? When did you reach apathy about your ex?

Thanks man. No warning will ever be heeded. We all have to learn our own lessons.

Lol. Good for them. I wish them the best. I feel like I survived a decades long war. This new dude is just getting started. He has no idea.

Appreciate the feedback. Don't plan on dating for a while. Going to take some time to work on myself after so many years in a relationship. Good opportunity for some alone time.

Does the feeling remain? Was it up and down for a while for your situation? The release is amazing.

It may seem that way but I trust that she is telling the truth.

I didn't realize how I would feel before finding out. She's still in the same house.

Thanks man. It actually felt good to get it out in the open instead of her sneaking around. Felt like a healthy relationship for once. Like 2 adults talking things through with minimal accusations or anger.

Dude. PTS. I liked the one about having to check with her for all decisions. When you do they'll get pissed that you have to check with them on everything.

Thanks. Yeah, mine closed on a place recently too. Moving out at the end of the month. Makes it weird.

Thanks for that man. Sounds like we have similar paths. Mine is physically attractive too. Narcissistic so had minor work done and stuff. Behavior grosses me out as well. I think the new supply is starting to get addicted so rough waters ahead. I pray I can shield the kids from the fallout.

I got the same from stbxw today. She thought she could call me for financial advice after the divorce since we will remain friends. She was furious when I told her we won't be friends, just coparents, and that she should call her brothers or accountant with those types of questions.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
