How do you all handle it ?Good for you, man. Yea that mental separation is key. I bought some new music equipment I always wanted, been addressing things I've needed to do, planning stuff I wanna do this spring / summer. The rediscovering feels good. I wish you the best, man. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/04/19 03:29 PM
How do you all handle it ?Hey dude -- how have things been for you? What has changed for you? Looks like 92 days since his message, I hadn't used Reddit because I thought we reconciled but now marriage separation planning is underway. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/03/19 04:25 PM

How do you all handle it ?I'm in your shoes, trying to handle the mindfuck of it all.... One thing I'm trying to do is mark a victory and recognize my strength with every moment of pain that I overcome. You know, sometimes you're fine and actually feel alright and the next second -- BAM! Sheer pain. Sitting with it, getting through that moment, is a victory, in my opinion. I'm also working to distract myself, while realizing that putting my eggs in another basket (like money, etc.) may not be wise. Look within, strive to… | /r/Divorce_Men | 11/12/18 06:49 PM
I guess I'm a statistic now...I hear you... Good work with the distraction, glad you found somebody to share time with, too. Well, I'm in the very beginning and hoping it doesn't go that far, but it's still been shocking, devastating, etc. I also have a chronic illness that has severely debilitated my life, in that I can basically only work, give my best to my kids, and the rest is rest, so I've been severely isolated from friends and life these past few years and she's sort of been my only friend that I see regularly for a … | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/12/18 01:22 AM
My wife left 2 days agoSorry man.... I feel you -- working while you're broken and trying not to have a complete breakdown is freaking tough. I'm in your same boat, hoping all of a sudden that everything will change back to the way it was. I'm going to try to take the advice that was given above and not annoy her with my emotions, beg her, etc. It's a hard thing to step into a zone in which you accept giving space in a hope that maybe she will feel your relationship can be in healthy again and things do work out betwe… | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/12/18 01:02 AM
I guess I'm a statistic now...I feel you -- that statistic thing is sobering.... I am in same boat -- I do have a couple childhood best friends to text (in my mid thirties) but that really doesn't cut it for support. I mean, I don't even text them about it, so.... On top of the no friends (due to my focus on her, work, and kids for the last 10 years), I also have a chronic illness that has forced me to abandon almost all of my hobbies, can't go to bars, concerts, etc. (basically, I can still work, clean the house, give my be… | /r/Divorce_Men | 07/12/18 08:56 PM
Asking men for adviceIf he goes to therapy, that's a positive sign. I always was interested in going to therapy but finally did at my wife's request. (Cat out of the bag -- I'm not divorced, I just lurk here, because of some extreme challenges in my marriage that have scared the shit out of and sort of devastated me lately.) Anyway, my wife is sticking with me and giving me the chance to get better, to be able to reassure her that I can improve, that my will to do so is there, and maybe we can get to a new place tog… | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/12/18 08:21 PM
