For anyone who read the linked article, this is what mental illness looks like.

Both undergrad and law school, zero debt. Worked my ass off to pay the part not covered by an academic scholarship. But graduated from law school, seven years education in total, not owing anyone a dime.

I know a guy who’s a plastic surgeon on Park Avenue. I’m a lawyer and do very well, but I envy this guy. I’d love to do what he does, and I know he is highly, highly compensated. If I were a doctor, that’s what I’d do.

Anyone who thinks that anything uttered by the Southern Poverty Law Center has any meaning at all is delusional. It’s a joke. My ten year old has greater credibility than the SPLC. It exists to do nothing but take donations and handsomely compensate a handful of its employees.

For all but the least attractive and least valuable women (women who have no options), nonstop dread, and even frequent dread, kills her attraction. I don't think you should ever communicate dread in words. You achieve dread by being absent and unavailable, and when you reconvene, let her know you missed her and are happy to see her with a smile. Seriously, how many women do you know who dump a guy and say "he turned into this nasty sad sack who never acted like he wanted me in his life"? I hear…

Blackbull, you're not doing much to overcome the stereotype here. Can you show me where I say put 100% of your attention into a -- to use your word -- bitch? You saw the complete sentence, right? The one that ends in "while you're together"? And you did read the part about being unavailable, right? What's your way of doing it? Spending time with a woman and ignoring her while you're together? I can also tell you that if you're sleeping with a woman who has an eight figure net worth and a jet at …

I submit that #5 does not work with extremely high value women (extremely good looking, wealthy and independent). These women have endless options. We know that men control commitment. The alpha-esque man who commits to an extremely high value woman is rare, and it is also what she wants most. To be clear, by commitment I mean only sexual fidelity. There are ways to achieve #5 other than demonstrating that you’re less “committed” than she is, but demonstrating it is not really what you’d want, i…

One of the best things I’ve read on this sub. All of it true. There’s a limit to the empathy a man should ever have for a woman. At their core, a woman does not want her man to be substantially empathetic, because she detects it to be feminine — and thus weak and afraid. And substantial empathy is just that, a kind of weakness and fear. It’s a problem when the broader culture is actively teaching men to be empathetic, almost without limit. Part of the value a man provides to his wife, and in the…

I agree. I say the dumbest, most romantic shit — stuff that’d make you cringe — and I’m told “it always sounds real from you” precisely because I’m subconsciously perceived as being unfaithful (in truth, I’m merely busy). They WANT your sweet nothings to be real. They want them to be real because they feel insecure about their relationship with you. They believe that they’re competing with other women and want to be “the one.” I’m so fucking manipulative. I can’t believe I do this shit sometimes…

Don’t pursue. Six months for now she’ll probably think, “What happened with [you]?” Her ego will become involved, she’ll feel like her status is lower than she’d initially thought, and she’ll call. I’ve seen it dozens of times. It’s all about patience and discipline. I’d rather lose a few girls that I’d have had to work my ass off to keep happy, and instead bed the kind who’d walk across broken glass to be with me. And I truth, the latter tend to be very, very good looking. There’s an underlying…

Really? OK. I’m convinced that men, not because they’re insecure, but because they’re doers and builders, are always trying, consciously or unconsciously, to build and develop a relationship with the woman they’re interested in. And that’s not a bad thing. It’s what enables men to “lead” the relationship, in a sense. But it’s a virtue that can work against us in a relationship with a woman. As Esther Perelman, my own psychologist friend, and this study point out, a man must have the balls and di…

The formula that works for short and LTRs: lavish her with attention while you’re together, fuck her hard, and then don’t call for three days. Have the discipline to let her reach out to you. Give her the gift of missing you. Let her pursue you like a junkie pursues his next hit. This isn’t just my long experience. There’s science behind it. I like to think that this study supports my assertion.

Here’s one: Use your tongue to get a woman 99.5% of the way there, and then like lightning insert your cock inside her to take her the remaining .5%. This makes my girlfriend shake like she’s having an epileptic seizure. This is a really great question. The answer comes down to the dynamics of the relationship, very specific things that had preceded that over the course of a few days. This is why, when I speak about this stuff, I know that what I'm saying doesn't always apply in every similar circumstance. There were two, maybe three things at play. First, over the previous few days (have to be careful not to dox myself here) we'd had extremely vigorous, nearly acrobatic sex twice. The kind of sex that involves …

I think that this wouldn’t be a bad thing. It’s not wrong to make clear by your actions that you’re with her for sex and fun (though it’s not wrong to be a decent listener, signal that you have positive regard for her, etc.). I mean, you’re not like one of her girlfriends. That’s not what your relationship is. But you know this. I think that staying the night isn’t a bad thing, either. You just have to make her understand, through actions, that she’s one small part of your busy life. You can lea…

This past weekend. I don't think that women are consciously aware that they chip away at a man's frame. I think that in their pursuit of security, they do. I think that men have to resist that instinct in women, because it kills relationships. I think that you have to be tactful in how you draw hard boundaries like this, but when it's done right, it does wonders for the relationship and you can't be afraid to do it. Just never, ever betray a hint that your frustrated or pissed off. It has to be …

I’ll give you a real life example. My GF and I have been together for four years and she’s great. The relationship we have is probably about as good as it gets between a man and a woman. It’s the most rewarding relationship I’ve ever had. But I’m a firm believer in men and women being different and I don’t think sexual attraction can flourish without some distance between the man and the woman. We spend about half the week together. Rarely, we’ll be together and she’ll mentally go off on her own…

This is a really good post and I agree with everything you've said here. There were two reasons why I divorced my ex wife. First was the running accusation of infidelity, and the second was the henpecking that she attempted to use as a means of control (to achieve some kind of capitulation, I suppose). There were a host of psychological issues that fed into this. Her mother left her father for another man when she was 11, and disappeared for about two years. I'm told that this was a complete sur…

For a while my ex wife had a hard time with doors. She'd turn the knob in one direction repeatedly, the door not opening, and never consider turning the knob in the other direction. She'd pull for a full minute, and never think she should try to push. One day I said, "Baby, I think I'll sign you up for door school."

It's ALMOST all of them. Even the best I know, who are decent human beings, easy to get along with and have some admirable traits, are all easily turned into monsters under the right pressures. Innate, evolutionarily bred hypergamy combined with an endless capacity for justifying even the most horrible behavior. Women will sleep with whomever best gives them the resources they think they need, and blame it on the world around them. Nothing about your story surprises me. It's totally common.

I'm white, and I'm not sure this is done for whites in the formal way that I described in my first response, but if it is, that's not a good thing. So, assuming you're correct, I don't disagree with you. Merit is the only thing that should matter. I have the impression that Asian and Indian applications are the bulk of Ivy applications, all with top notch qualifications, that white kids are the relatively high achieving middle, and that many of the blacks (obviously not all) don't have the neces…

And to be clear, I'm not saying that black kids can't get into these schools without the 125 point SAT / ACT bump. I'm saying that it appears we've decided that it's OK to take a "disadvantaged" group, pick it up, and artificially drop it in the place of a different, "advantaged" group. We also take that "advantaged" group and drop it in the place formerly occupied by the "disadvantaged" group. It's almost exactly what happens in the Vonnegut story. I don't agree with the statement that diversity is something to strive for. I don't think it's ever a valid end. I think the only valid end is getting the best people for the job, no matter what they look like. I recently heard that applicants to Ivy League colleges who are black get an automatic bump of 125 points (on average) to their SAT score, which has the effect of handicapping Asian students with a 125 point deduction from their SAT score. First, I don't see how any rational person can to…

Unfortunately this scenario has shown up so often in television and movies that we can probably look forward to more false rape accusations by women in the military. I am so damn happy that barely a week goes by that I don't read about a female teacher being busted for rape or a woman being arrested for filing a false report (or, in this case, dealing with an $8.4 million lien that she will never be able to extinguish). As I think I've said before on this thread, any prosecutor or prosecution investigator who has worked sex crimes for any significant period of time will tell you that rape IS something women lie about, and maybe more than anything else. I once had a FEMALE sex crimes prosecutor (for whom I worked) tell me that almost all rape complaints that are investigated are found to be false. Not just unsupported by evidence, mind you. Investigated, and the version of events provided by the female complaina…

The single best thing one can say in a conversation with anyone, but especially women: "Tell me about that," or "That's interesting. Tell me about that." Variations on an invitation to speak more are crucial. Also, "Why do you think that?" More information is fed into the system, and with more information, there are more opportunities To comment, offer more information, or seek more information. Good cognitive behavioral therapists know this. They are brilliant at developing a conversation.

Right after I told the kids I was divorcing my wife (their mother), my son said to my soon to be former mother-in-law, "it's very sad, daddy is going away." I was always puzzled about this. After the divorce -- in which I completely destroyed her, she got nothing -- my son said to me, "Daddy, it's so funny that mommy said that you were going away, when it was mommy who went away and we are all still right here." Commenters here have pointed out that this is an example of the hypocrisy of SJWs, or the double standards that women have. But I think it's more grave than that: most women simply cannot reason. I'm amazed (though I shouldn't be at this point) at how frequently women inject emotion into events, and when that happens, how the ability to reason disappears. I don't think one of these women would understand how you could take the rule they seem to articulate and take the position that any man who d…

Another major contributing factor is that while women in their 20's might not come across as nuts, many women between the ages of 35 and 45 really are nuts. In my experience, it happens again during menopause - mid 50s. On the whole, women in their 20s and early 30s might want more from you, but are manageable compared to the typical woman in her late 30s to mid 40s. Very narrow window of relative sanity with women.

It's always a transaction with women. It's remarkable to me that women seem so much more prone to dressing up their relationship as deep and meaningful love, at least in words, than are men. But it is for them fundamentally a transaction, an exchange. Men seem to be less prone to speak about idealized love, and yet for them, the substance of a LTR with a woman is, for most, one of genuine affection. But this is all academic TRP.

First, it's great that OP caught and properly characterized the domination mentioned in that article. People think all domination is bad. I don't know where you're located but in most states the marriage ends the moment the complaint or petition in divorce is filed with the court. It doesn't even have to be served on the other party. It's not a matter of having or not having a final judgment. The marriage is over when the divorce commences (filing of complaint with the clerk of the court). That rule exists to prevent shenanigans like the one you describe here. Maybe the rule is different in your state.
/r/MGTOW21/04/17 08:29 PM

I'm confused by what you wrote here. When you ask a woman out, do you not propose that the two of you go out? Does she exercise choice in going out with you? If you think that a woman does not exercise choice when she says yes to your invitation, then when you go out you're what? Kidnapping her? Do you tell her what she's going to do with you? Right. So I have to ask, in what way does "men make all the plans" -- which in practice means men pay all the money -- differ from being the beta provider that we all seem to revile so much? The woman has to put zero effort into her time with you. The man makes the plan, the man takes her out, the man pays (I suppose) in hopes of sex. It's never part of the premise that the woman values YOU enough that she'd think about something nice to do with you, that you might enjoy, and then she makes that…

So many of the guys who subscribe to the "make must always lead and select all activities" idea see things as the male always leading or the woman always leading. Which just isn't how humans work. If by the 3rd date the woman hasn't voiced any preference for how she'd like to spend her time, she's not putting much energy into the encounter, she doesn't care enough to engage you (perfect words you used, by the way) and you can bet she's on her way to becoming the princess who sits by waiting for …

Max, first dispense with the "welcome to the human race" sarcasm. We're not confronted with a binary choice between men leading the human race and women leading the human race. And we're not talking about passing on superior genes either. The least competent humans seem to reproduce in great numbers. Nor are we talking about men leading 100% of the time or women leading 100% of the time. I am talking about what seems to be an axiom of TRP, the "lead by choosing all activities" mandate. Think abo…

This is a great post and my experience has been similar. An art director friend of mine installed Instagram on my phone years ago whilst we were out having a beer. I managed to keep it on for a week or so before I realized I wanted it in my life like I want radon in my basement. Really bad stuff. Also have a friend who's a fairly well known, well respected psychologist who has said that social media is a much bigger problem than the press would make out. I agree with what you've said here: make earning money your #1 priority. But I suspect he also needs to do something that's going to change his view of himself. He seems convinced he's trapped by circumstance, while we know nothing is further from truth. He also needs a different outlook. Agree?

I don't think you understand what Rollo means with that quote. You're never a commodity, you're a human being. We all know that. What he's saying is that from a woman's vantage point -- because they're far more Machiavellian and psychopathic than most men can imagine -- you are a commodity. She's looking for a commodity. When he says that, he's not encouraging you to change your nature or conception of self. He's encouraging you to take on the guise of the thing that will attract her, so that yo…

There could be a bit of a misconception about prenuptial agreements here. While it is possible to enforce one that gives very little to the non-earning spouse, and strongly favors the breadwinner, courts tend to go out of their way to help the litigant who would like it defeated. I'm not saying that they don't work, but a prenuptial agreement like the one I describe is not something to have complete confidence in. Prenuptial agreements exist, by and large, to approximate the division of assets t…

We've both had our children so the biological imperative of constantly being together and making a home together is one that neither of us labor under. The dynamic that exists between men and women in their early 20's and the one that exists between them 15 or 20 years later can be radically different, I think. There is something that I observe sometimes and I just don't know how people do it: couples who spend every minute together, live together, and do not have children. As you say, the cling…

Sure. First I'll tell you why I find them so disturbing. I subscribe to the belief that women don't "love" the same way men do. I always have, but in a more polite and palatable formulation: we know that women "love" what you can do for them, or what resources you can share with them, but consciously or subconsciously I always chalked this up to the virtue of her wanting to be a good mother. I always believed that somewhere in there, there was some positive regard for the man, some admiration of…

Respect requires that you value someone for the substantial things that person is, as distinct from what he can give you or do for you. Women don't understand, much less care about good character (the thing upon which a man rests his respect for another man). And yes, that only leaves fear, unfortunately.

I believe there's actually some science behind the notion that females experience negative emotions much more frequently than men. I know women who have everything -- looks, security, wealth, health, a kickass lifestyle -- who STILL cannot manage to feel gratitude and be happy without the help of medication. It makes me wonder if a woman who's lived for a period of time in a war zone might make a better, happier partner. But my hunch is that she'd be even harder to deal with because her genetic …

The thing is, a huge number of women are capable of being lesbians even if they live straight. Women are very homosocial to begin with -- far more than men -- and there no longer seems to be any Tak stigma at all against being a lesbian. Just look at social media and see the thousands of pictures of allegedly straight women making out. The threshold for gayness, or at least gay behavior, is far lower for women than it is for men. Very good video. Very direct and simple. I think what this guy talks about is the most important thing, really. Never give her all that she needs, always give her less than what she needs. I'm going to have to disagree with #4. I'm not trying to devalue anyone when I say this, I'm not trying to compete with anyone when I say this, but it is my consistent experience that what we might call genuine alpha with unshakable frame, combined with muscular sex and an easy smile are like heroin to any woman. She might temporarily believe that she can find satisfaction elsewhere, but she cannot, even as much as a decade later. Also, as many others have said here, chasing one woman is just pl…

I agree with this. Showing genuine interest at OPs age goes a long way. Something else to consider is that her parents will ask if OP is "a nice boy" and if he treats her well, and his behavior toward her should permit her to answer yes to both questions. The difference in dynamic between ages 14 and, say, 20 and the prime years of 20 to 32,33 is HUGE. It's like two different worlds.

What I'm going to tell you isn't going to work well when you're older (like when you hit your 20s) because you'll fall into beta orbiter status if you're not careful. It will work again when you're beyond prime baby-making years. I wouldn't make myself endlessly available to her, but when you are, it doesn't hurt to listen to her and gain her trust. Ask her questions about her life and listen to the answers, then build on the answers. I cleaned up in high school by giving girls total attention w…

You have to work out hard every day or every other day. The fit and slightly big have a huge advantage over the non-fit and small (or overly big). Also, teeth should be white. I can't tell you how many women I've heard say "Did you see how yellow that guy's teeth were?"

I subscribe completely to the belief that women have been bred by evolution to use men for resources. I could give you a half dozen stories right now where that is EXPLICITLY what the women are in it for. They're brazen about it. I'd dox myself if I did, though. It's so depressing to hear them speak about it. They have no awareness that what they're doing is parasitic. None. They'd be shocked if I pointed that out. It wouldn't change them, though.

I would say rather than don't argue, do not be petty. Some arguments are worth having, and if you have them, know how to win. If you think and learn about argument enough, you can completely kneecap your opponent in two or three sentences. And always do it with a smile. I don't think anyone ever found Chris Hitchens a more magnetic a character because he kept his mouth shut about something. People enjoyed hearing him speak about controversial subjects even if they disagreed with him. I'd say arg…

I agree with everything you've said here. It's not about being a jerk and it's not about being a servant, either. It's just driving what men are (or should be) good at driving. Assertiveness, action and achievement all factor into how we (men) value ourselves. "What did I get done today? Actually, quite a lot." When we can say that to ourselves every day, we feel no timidity in making our views known, because they matter. My views matter because I matter. It's the mindset of the traditional fath…

Sure. Masturbation is simulated sex, just as video games are almost always simulations of life, or some aspect of life. I wouldn't think that participation in video games would be such an issue for young men, except I see droves of them spending every available second playing them. Socialization, then. This could be right. It was an unexpected thing when my son's school sent home a notice asking all children to wear pink for breast cancer awareness day. Of course he didn't do it. One reason was that he, being a boy, didn't have any pink clothing. He was seven years old when this first happened. I'm not sure he even knew what a breast is. Talk about indoctrination.

I'd suggest that the women who showed interest or curiosity after learning that you're in several non-exclusive relationship were not invested in maintaining that non-exclusivity. I think that's true, and I really do believe that it's the result of evolution. There are labs everywhere that will do it. Just order a blood panel that includes the standard tests for testosterone. You'll get measurements of the main testosterone values. Most blood testing labs do it, but you'll probably have to pay out of pocket if it's not prescribed. Still quite worth it.

I have read that winning, dominating leads to increased testosterone production over a useful period of time. Not just a spike from the euphoria of it. The increased production is around at least long enough to confer a benefit during the winner's next contest. And this makes the winner better able to win, which leads to more wins and greater testosterone production. I've also read (same article, I believe) that the guy on the losing side of the equation encounters a drop in testosterone, which …

Every girl and woman I know, with the exception of my 76 year old mother, spends copious amounts of time on Facebook. I don't know a single guy who is on it. It's hard for me to think of a bigger time suck than Facebook / anything like Facebook. The interesting thing is this: study after study is showing that social media makes users miserable. So if you're wondering why the default setting for women is sad bitchiness, it's a safe bet that Facebook is a factor in it. Something else I've noticed:…

I'm trying to figure out where in what I wrote you see me saying that I deprive anyone of an opportunity to give me gifts or celebrate my achievements. My girlfriend just threw me an awesome surprise birthday party with 50 guests. What I said is that I have no desire to cling to medals or awards and keep them around me. To me, the actual achievement is what is important to me. My performance that day -- a performance that has meaning only until the next race, when I have to perform again. And tr…

I agree with what you say. Interesting...I've never kept photographs, and though an accomplished runner I always threw out medals. People think I'm weird but I want my life to be as loved as it can possibly be and taking care of things that don't mean that much takes away from time spent living. In high school I didn't order a yearbook. My mother said to me "one day you'll wish you had." That was thirty years ago and I have almost no recollection of high school, because I've done so much living …

Never happier than when I'm figuring out a problem and getting something done. This is why we have highway systems, indoor plumbing, the Internet, and the ability to travel to the moon and back. Doing these things is what we evolved to do. We're good at it. I dare say we're better at it than women.

Ditto, TheOneWhoKnoxs. Couldn't have said it better. What you say here is maybe the most important thing to know about human relationships: behavior is the only thing that matters. What she thinks is meaningless. I'd add this: That women are not reasonable or logical is a fairly evidence-based conclusion. If that's so, trying to get into and understand a woman's "thinking" is a fruitless endeavor. I've had several seemingly rational women admit to me their own belief that all women are crazy. Do…

In an unexpected way, I read this and feel good. I feel good because if what she said is true, I'm not only winning, I'm winning in style. Married a girl who I thought would be a decent mom, had two great kids. When she grew to be too much of a pain in my ass, divorced her. Kicked her out and kept the house. Have the kids most of the time. Pay her next to nothing in alimony, and she lives in a shitty apartment near the railroad tracks in a building that stinks of curry. She's alone, paranoid, a …

You have to understand, I'm a lawyer who's done a fair amount of criminal defense work. I don't don't represent people in employment law matters, but I've sued a lot of people and defended a lot of people. This is what I think. I think that you (or the original poster, I'm not certain you're the same) are minding your business and doing your work. You have a co-worker who is walking around essentially accusing you of committing a felony. An employer, at least in the US, would not permit that any…

Was this directed to me, the original poster? Can you tell me what part of my post suggests this has not been known to me all my life? Go ahead. Read it through, line by line, and tell me what part of my post indicates this is some kind of recent discovery on my part. A "2016" discovery, as you put it. I'm amazed at how many people in this sub feel the need to engage in one upmanship. Really, are you that emasculated by life that you could read what I wrote, give it meaning that the text simply …

I agree with this analysis. It's hard to know what all the signaling was because we weren't there, but based on what's been stated here, I think this is sound advice. I guess I'd say some chasing went on here, and it's important to not confuse escalating on a girl with chasing her. Chasing is undignified, beta, and also probably doomed to fail.

I think this is right. Daddy issues, but also frequently issues stemming from a batshit crazy mother. It comes down to what you might call power issues. The whole SJW thing is built on its participants' feelings of powerlessness and inefficacy. People who don't have the assertiveness to stop others from walking all over them individually responding by fighting against all forms of orthodoxy and existing social power structures. These are the kids who had their lunch money taken from them every d…

I think that what you say here is mainly right. I think politics tells women that they must dislike male dominance and fight against it. I don't think it's pride so much as the wider culture now telling women that they ought to see things a certain way (men are evil, or oafs) and feel that they must take on male dominance traits to be "equal." That said, politics can't purge DNA. This is why virtually all women respond in a positive way to male dominance and assertiveness in bed.

Yes, I guess that's true. I was thinking more along the lines of the light bruising i leave on upper arms, and on skinny girls, the pelvic area. But yes, I think a hickey is sort of the same thing.

Your last paragraph is the reason for the post. I agree with this. I've read too many accounts here of men struggling to leave behind Blue Pill thought, and I want to make clear that it is in the very nature of women to be dominated by men. I think two perfect examples are what seems to me to be an almost evolutionary response to complete physical domination during sex, and the other would probably be the indecisiveness we encounter so often in women. I don't buy for a minute that the average wo…

I'm confused. You have no kids and you've been married around one year. You shake hands and walk in opposite directions. I don't see a reason to spend any more money on her. Also, why did you move out? When I divorced my wife, I kicked her out and kept the house. That's after almost 19 years of marriage. Now she lives in a shitty apartment near railroad tracks that stinks of curry. There is no point in being conciliatory. There's no point in even talking to her. Clearly you didn't really get alo…

A long time ago I noticed that with no change other than pinning her arms behind her back, or above her head, there is a more or less immediate physical response. No change in rhythm, or depth, or anything -- just hold her so she can't move and is helpless. Always increase in heat and wetness, breathing, moaning. Only the rarest woman is not turned on by being made helpless and dominated. I wonder what would happen if an actual study of this was done. We know that more than 25% of women have rap…

I don't doubt that men do it, too. I'm saying only that this was a primary reason women could not be jurors. The belief was that women are too easily swayed by emotion to be an impartial finder of fact.

I don't disagree with what you say here. It would be nice to have a response that would remain classy, but also be a dig. That's what you're getting at? Not a response so much to overcome and get to the girl, but a parting shot? It's a challenge. I think I see what you're saying.

My belief is that you can't be suspicious and afraid of people and expect someone to actually love you, unless of course that person is some kind of white knight who's there to rescue you from yourself. If he is, that comes with a whole host of other issues that don't bode well for a LTR. Any person in a LTR has to have the capacity to turn toward the other and reassure him or her on the occasions when he or she needs it. That's why people get into relationships in the first place. But a person …

Let me inject an alternate view of things. I'll start by comparing American popular culture to an echo chamber, an echo chamber in which a minority of the world is located. I'll also say that while a group of people can try to purge some elements of American culture, one cannot purge DNA. I subscribe to TRP. Almost everything I know about it seems accurate and its early proponents deserve to be on currency. I couldn't care less about social media. I don't participate in it (unless reddit is cons…

Agreed. About ten years ago the Intrepid had an ad that it ran on the sides of city buses. It was a black and white photo, taken maybe in '43, of a young guy sitting in the tail gunner's position of what looked to me to be a Grumman Hellcat. The copy read "Come see what 17 year olds did before PlayStation."

For me, Plate 1 is 10 years older than me (she's pretty great) and Plate 2 is 17 years younger than me. I'm told by P1 that some of her acquaintances see the age gap between us as a little scandalous (she's wealthy), while the 17 year age gap between myself and P2 doesn't even register with her. It's a positive if anything. And god what an ass she has.

I emphasize #3, do not seek approval. Hugely important. I'd also point out that half the world has vaginas. Understand that it doesn't have to work out with any particular girl, because there's another one right around the corner. And it doesn't have to work out with her, either, for the same reason. You're never going to run out of women. I'm in a dad quoting mood tonight, so to quote my late, true Alpha dad, "The easiest thing in the world to replace is an interpersonal relationship."

I liked my parents and I had a true Alpha father. Really got along with them. Nonetheless, by the time I was 13 I couldn't wait to get out of their house, smoke cigarettes, drive a car and have sex with women. When I did move out after high school (to go to college), my dad and mom stood on the front step of the house and waved me goodbye. My mom cried a little and my dad smiled and said "Son, you know how when this happens on TV the parents usually say something like 'you can always come home'?…

I've heard it said that life is nothing more than a series of goals that we achieve. Or don't. I agree with that view of life. On a lighter note, a long time ago, Letterman had a young model on as a guest. This girl couldn't have been more than 20 and didn't have much to say. The interview wasn't going well. Letterman switched into that mode where he looks as if he's speaking to a 3rd grader, and asked "So what do you do with your spare time?" The model had to think about this, and answered with…

I wouldn't put any effort into trying to figure this shit out. I'd limit my communication to one text and do what the earlier commenter said. Something like "If you want to come, come. I'm happy to say I had a man's man for a father. People I didn't know, when they found out who my dad was, would say things like, "You're X's son? Your father is a man's man. What a straight arrow." He was a Marine who reenlisted, a cop, and then an FBI agent. He was quiet, pleasant, always in control and the best benevolent dictator one could hope to be raised under. He was an institution. He was a total stud, too. He never cheated on my mom and loved her dearly, but his entire life women hit o…

You know that your parents expect you to get married and that's probably why the notion of finding a wife is on your mind. Were I you, seriously consider working my ass off to 15 to 20 years, getting wealthy, and then marrying a substantially younger woman if you really want to get married. She can bear your kids. You don't have to get married. You can have kids in your 70's if you like. Women can't.

In my experience, it's a mistake to give a woman any more than about 75% of the attention she wants. I wouldn't say anything like "I'm going to hang out with..." I'd just be very, very unavailable. If you haven't tried this, you'll be surprised at how devastating this is to a female. Try it. Ghost her for a week, or nearly ghost her. She's going to ask what's up, and you have to be prepared to say "I have no idea what you're talking about." Let her wonder. And never explain your behavior. One of…

To quote my late father, "Life is way too short to spend even one day of it unhappy." Look, you ex wife is not the person you thought she was. She's someone else, someone who is duplicitous and deceitful. I'd also point out that many, many people tend to pine after the one relationship -- tend to believe that they MUST HAVE the one relationship -- that they would be so much better off without. A paternity test is relevant but not to a decision to divorce. I can tell you from experience -- and dads, back me up -- that the minute a child is born, you will become a persona non grata. You will be seen to never do anything right. You may spend hours a day playing with your kid, but the minute you take the time to, say, read a book, you'll be called an absent and uncaring father.
