There is unemployment which my employer pays into as part of my benefits from working. I may be laid off but I make sure to save enough money that I can be laid off for 2 years without receiving aid and be fine. It took me many years to get to that point Gee aren't you lucky Why , my children will be brought to the dr by me or my wife. I don't expect children to go to the dr by themselves. They can't even go to the park by themselves anymore with out people calling the cops A 15 or 16 year old, …

I wont ever receive welfare. I continue to work and want to work , i have never been unemployed for more than 6 months and that was 2010 after the financial down turn. Wow this just shows some crazy ignorance. As if you know that you'll never be unemployed, or never have financial issues. But hey I'm glad you're so confident. How will i benefit from planned parenthood when I have kids ? I have insurance as does my wife , we will go to the doctor and they will take care of the medical needs we ha…

Wow pick two things that you don't directly benefit on, which probably amount to SFA of your tax money going to them. 7% is probably one of the lowest sales taxes around the world (Except for other part of the US because homogenity is apparently something the US can't do). Europe has 20% VAT, Australia 10% GST, NZ 15% GST. Further all of these taxes are regressive taxes, that mean that those on the lowest wages pay the most % of these kinds of taxes. But hey point out 2 things that you haven't y…

Definitely. Having sex with a tonnes of guys is easy, it's not an accomplishment anymore than eating a 10 tubs of icecream in a week is an accomplisment. The best analogy I've heard, when women complain about the double standard between men who have a lot of sex, and women who have a lot of sex. Guys are like keys, girls are like locks. A key that can unlock many different locks, is a pretty good key. But a lock that can be opened by many keys, is a pretty shitty lock.

And I can promise you, nepotism exists in competitive workplaces. I know, that's not what I said. I said in a competitive workplace WHERE there isn't nepotism. I'm aware it exists, but it doesn't exist everywhere. And I'm not talking about politics. But there are admittedly issues with the way we socialize boys and girls that do discourage girls from enter STEM fields I would like you to explain what you mean by this further. Because there's also the fact that girls just don't like STEM as much …

Of course not. Feminists believe in Equality of OUTCOME, not oppurtunity. It doesn't matter that Steve works 60 hours per week and does overtime, eats at his desk while working and gets his job done better and quicker; while Nicole does the minimum 38 hours while spending the day always checking her instagram and facebook, going out to a cafe for lunch everyday, and leaving work at 5 o'clock on the dot. They don't get paid the same and that's unfair, because they have same job title, and should …

They forget to mention the other males who also don't become partner as quickly as that one male. Women seem to think they're the only ones who have it hard in life, or they think all men have it easy and get anything they want. I guarantee you in a competitive workplace where there isn't nepotism, the male got to a position higher because they fucking worked for it. Next they'll be complaining that men who have degrees shouldn't get a job, and they should without degree in that field, because s…

The fact that a Police Prosecutor actually decided to go ahead with these charges, and the fat that some officer decided to lay the charges in the first place, is fucking insane. A lot of shit has to fail for this to end up as the outcome.

Yeah of course no one is individual, and we should reduce everyone to their gender and skin colour. Well only if you're white and male, if you're not white AND male, of course you're an individual and you aren't only your gender and skin colour, you're more than that. But again, you're only more than that if you're not a white man.

Personally I don't think they're expected to be more empathetic. Perhaps more nurturing (MAYBE). But men are expected to be empathetic, while also being expected to not be emotional. So they have to be empathetic, without being able to share their own feelings. That stoic thing. So even if women are expected to be more empahtetic, they have a socially acceptable outlet, and will generally get emotional help from others, including men, while men are very limited in their display of emotion, and w…

I mean expected efforts to understand and accommodate other people on an emotional level. I would say then men have it harder. As you mentioned previously. The idea that mean should be stoic, and in general be strong in the face of adversity, negativity, hard and traumatic experiences etc. But men are also generally expected to listen to women, to empathise with them, and make them feel better, try to cheer them etc. yet we don't get to do the same, lest a feminist complain about "emotional labo…

Again how are you defining "general" and "specific". I think if you're making such specific claims about this kind of thing I don't think you can simply say general. What "general" pressures do you think women face that men don't (or what pressures do women face greater pressure from than men) I think "general" pressures are general to every one, male and female. General pressures have to affect everyone, otherwise they aren't general and are in fact specific. I would argue that there are only a…

I'm still not sure what you mean at all. Personally I don't like the "emotional labour" phrase. Men face plenty of pressures in society and social circles, and fitting in. What do you mean by "emotional labour" anyway? I would also argue that girls and women receive far more, and the vast majority of social pressures from other girls/women. More often than not watching groups of women and speaking to other women, it's not men who make life harder, who are mean, etc. it's other women.

Men are the most likely to be victims of homicide in most countries. Granted yes, at the hands of other men. Men are in fact many many times more likely to be killed a stranger, or acquaintance than women, as female victims are more likely to the victim to a intimate partner. Yet men are rarely if ever spoken about in terms of danger of the streets, fear of assault, fear of murder, while walking down a dark alley. women do more in general In what way? If a woman is attractive enough, she doesn't have to do much to attract a mate, and in keeping a mate either. Just don't be a bitch, and the hotter they are the more of a bitch they can get away with being. Women are more likely to be the ones in need of emotional support, are less likely to give it men (even though they say they want a man who can cry, what they really want is a man who can cry at the end of Marley of Me, and in situations where even the ha…

I figured this was the case, but didn't want to look it up because I even if I ahd the evidence, you still wouldn't be allowed to say that. Even though it's obvious. Having physical strength doesn't stop you from killing yourself, I honestly don't know of any method of suicide except seppuku or self beheading that would actually require more strength to accomplish. It should be obvious that if women "attempt" suicide more yet men have a higher rate of suicide anywhere from 2-5x higher than femal…

Not always. There's a lot of men who would probably want their wives to continue working, after their kids reached an age they could be sent to day care. Once your kid starts going to school, you can start working IMO. If there's abuse, there's a criminal issues at play there, but most divorces, are NOT because of abuse. Most states don't care about adultery either. I don't think there is any case where someone should ahve to support an ex spouse.

The only time that the court can order alimony be paid is when one partner has been out of the workforce for an extended period (e.g. staying home and raising the kids) and will need retraining in order to acquire the necessary skills to get a job. Unless they were working in a job which doesn't exist anymore, they would have skills. And even if they didn't there are plenty of low skilled jobs that people work. Plenty of people work those jobs while getting qualifications. To be honest though ca…

Why should she be able to divorce her husband, and then ask for a handout to become independent. It's not as if she isn't aware that the world works on money, and money is achieved through work. No one else get's money to get into work. Even if they have been out of work, or have no qualifications. Why should someone she's chosen to end a relationship with be responsible for her getting on her feet. They're both adults. Adults need to be able to be independent. Here's the problem... a stay at home spouse effectively works 24/7 But they don't. This would be true for a widowed partner, there's another person who is there after work ends in most cases. And baby sitting is paid so low because it isn't a job requiring constant attention and constant work. The majority of men who end up staying home for some period of time to look after their kids for some reason or other while their wife goes and works, almost all say the same thing. That they prefer it ove…

Given the majority of divorces are enacted by women, why should you be able to choose to end a relationship, and on top fo getting half the other persons shit, also get money from your ex partner. You adults, and in EVERY other scenario, adults are expected to be independent. If you're unemployed you get unemployment benefits in some countries. If it takes you a FEW years to get on your feet, with half of someone else assets, then you're doing it wrong.
/r/MensRights30/09/19 03:35 AM

No it's not. That's called child support. Alimony is for the spouse (called spousal support) and that's on top.
/r/MensRights29/09/19 06:06 AM

A woman divorces a successful man, and gets half his shit, child support to look after the child, and alimony. I'm not talking about a woman who has a child with someone she either doesn't know or breaks up with etc. I'm talking about where alimony is ordered by a court.

In Australia they usually send cases like this to civi court as the victim is civi. Once sent through the civi system they can't be charged for the same offence in the military system. They can be charged for other things related to the assault and subsequent court case and media attention. Prejudicial conduct is usually the catch all.

Sexual assault is not just rape. Sexual harrassment could involve sexual assault if it continues for a extended period. This isn't about opinion. This is about facts and definition. Whilst rape is a form of sexual assault, so is groping someone. We arent just demonising innapropirate behaviour, were demonising their reaction to that behaviour....

Also important to remember, that although the shit times suck, they're required to give you perspective, to make you notice, and appreciate when the good times are. It's better to know when you're in good times, and good company, rather than to only realise you had good times. Hardly a chameleon. Might have been said by someone else, but for a girl to put this in her bio, or to actively go out and agree with this premise, with all the 3rd wave feminist and beta male feminists, insisting that "slut shaming" is bad. Rather than saying, sleeping with a tonne of men, isn't hard, it's easy, it's even easier if your mildly attractive, or above a 5. And fucking a different guy every week, or every 2nd day, isn't something to be proud of.

No it does make me happy. True that I am mostly happy with myself, but when I get hit with my depression, I go for a drive, I find enjoyment in my V8, and that makes me happy. So maybe don't tell me what doesn't make me happy, when I say it does.

You seem to not understand that material possessions can give you happiness. Not only that, if it's an activity you like doing, that costs money. You insure liability so they aren't liabilities anymore, and depreciation is simply the cost of having fun. Huh? No it isnt. Given research shows men make decisions to benefit them moneyarily way more than women do, men forego personal time in order to work more to earn more money, even single ones. Men or more likely to want to climb the ladder, and are more likely to want and ask for raises. Men tend to put their money into toys for themselves when they can, that they can enjoy for a long time. Lots of women seem to waste money.

Used car has already had the depreciation taken off, and depreciation slows considerably the older the car is. So given OPs response to this, probably not. Although I'm a little worried OP decided to finance a car like this. It's obviously not very expensive as a capital purchase, but upkeep on these Mercs is not cheap if you're using a mechanic to do the servicing. And on top of that, a loan on a 7 year old car can't be great % wise. I totally understand the point of a buying a nice car that yo…

Uhh the major conservative party the GOP, currently has a president in power who is undermining the very democracy that the US is built on. The majority of people are centrists, but it seems some of the GOP are so right that a centrist looks far left. In this case, whilst they are "legally defined" as the donors, neither of them have any biological material in the embryo, the embryos were bought from donor egg and donor sperm. In this case they likely could sign away parental rights and responsibilities, like child support, as the child would come about through artificial insemination, and not through consensual sexual intercourse leading to conception of a biologically related offspring. But even with them not being biological material donor…

This isn't about withdrawing consent "after the fact" at all. This is exactly like agreeing to have sex, signing a contract that you agree to have sex, and then as you progress through the act, you no longer wish to have sex, and withdraw your consent at that point. The previous acts are not crimes as consent was obtained, and the acts occurred before consent was withdrawn, however any act occurring after consent is withdrawn would be criminal. And should someone be in a committed relationship and on contraceptives, condoms tend to end up not being at some point, because of the obvious reasons of being in a relationship, on contraceptives, and it feels a whole lot better. Anymore includes none too. Doctors give the run around, because as can be seen in this very thread, the vast majority of men think this is some temporary, meant to be reversible procedure, that you do, because you wanna go and sleep your way around the world in 40 days and not end up with a kid afterwards; and then they can come back when they've settled down and just go oh yeah, reverse that vasectomy would ya doc. As if they didn't just cut your sperm tubes
/r/MensRights15/03/19 10:06 AM

If you can't remove from the womb and have it survive, EVEN with all of our technological advancements, then it isn't alive. IT's just a clump of cells, feeding off a host to grow larger. There is very big line between a 10 week foetus and fully grown 40 week baby. If you can't see that you're delusional.
/r/MensRights15/03/19 10:03 AM

Yes I know that. That's not my point. But just about every Dr is going to tell you, that you won't always be able to reverse them. It is considered a permanent procedure, with reversal procedures available, however they aren't guaranteed at all, however, it should not be thought of as some temporary birth control measure. It should be considered a I never want to have kids anymore, this is the solution. Vasectomies are for people who don't want anymore children ever.

It does depend how they are defining false rape claims. Because there are two categories of false rape claim, there's the category where it is not malicious, and someone reports a rape that the police or prosecutor do not consider to be rape, and then there is the malicious false rape accusation. Yes this seems odd. Doesn't add up. I mean if he worked 12 hours a day at £10/hour literally every day. He would have made £43,680, but he says he worked 7-12 hours/day £5-10/hour. So lets assume he worked 6 days a week, more than most, and 10 hours (the high side of the average 7-12) and £7.50/hour. He would only have earnt £23,400 in a year. He said he also paid off debts, I don't something doesn't quite add up.

I don't know why there aren't exceptions for evidence like this in cases where it proves a pretty significant criminal offence has occurred, and/or it's public interest and it's probative value. In this case I think the probative value of the evidence outweighs the evidence's prejudicial value against the defendant.

And the OP has said she is no longer a feminist in the title. Not in response to my query. You are more than capable of seeing her other responses, rather than deliberately misrepresenting her. And she has made it clear EXACTLY what she is referring to, yet you want to bang on about something she she has not said. You're the type of person who gives men a bad na…

As she explained it, she means in the sense of consequence, and equal rights. Men and women should get equal sentences for equal crime, technically that is an outcome, that we should want equality in. They already have equal opportunity, in that (at least in most jurisdictions) both people have available to them the same maximum punishment. At least in most jurisdictions again, the criminal code does not mention gender, and simply says, A person is guilty of [insert crime here] if that person do…

The problem with equality of outcome though, i that it's far from equal or fair. By it's very nature, to achieve equal outcome, you need to be unequal in your approach. Because 2 people are not going to be the same, if someone puts in more effort than someone else then they ought to get a better outcome. Everyone is different, and so if you treat everyone equally and give the all the same equal opportunity, then you are truly being equal and fair. You are giving everyone the same chance. Equalit…

When feminism claims to be a movement about gender equality for all, and makes claims about systemic sexism and gender inequality for females, as well as being oppressed by men; "whataboutism" isn't the wrong argument to make. The majority of that is coming from other women. Like the majority of things women complain about being hassled or treated poorly about. More women treat other women worse, more often, than men do. Yeah. This is like the argument that there's a rape culture. I don't know who the fuck is telling people that raping is okay, high fiving rapists, etc, except women that it's impossible to rape a man. It's like because it couldn't be proven in a court of law we are NOT ONLY accepting it, we are ENCOURAGING it, and REWARDING rape. That just ins't true.

I'm not saying she did. If she did that would go more in favour of the argument that she wasn't aware of her actions, or that they were wrong. She did it though. You don't need a smile on your face, hell you can even feel guilty and terrible of what you did, and still get the death penalty. Having a smile, or enjoying what you did doesn't change what she did. And certainly shouldn't have such a great affect that she spent less than the minimum time behind bars for murder in every state.
/r/MensRights09/01/19 02:31 PM

Yes they can. It's pretty universally accepted that shooting someone in the back of their head while they sleep is wrong; regardless of how shit your upbringing is. Hell even the blood and the crips probably have more honour than that.

I don't know about that. That's speculation at best, and should be avoided because the man can't defend himself. Let's stick to the facts.

Coerced into robbing someone sure, not coerced into executing them. That is not a legal defence. Why is it so hard to believe that she did it?

There is evidence... OF THE OPPOSITE. She admitted to never having sex. The way I read it, was that he was helping her, and was not a john. Personally in this case, regardless of the gender I think they should stay in jail longer. 20-25 years. Which is why I'm advocating for a harsher penalty for her, because I would expect the same of a man. So yes this isn't about men's rights per se, but rather about social injustice because of gender. This is a pussy pass for sure. Because a man would, and S…

It's all because it illegal. It pushes prositution into the fringe, and basically forces the creation of pimps, and whilst human trafficking wouldn't go away entirely, it would decrease for sure. Plenty of studies show legalising prostitution helps everyone. It protects the prostitutes from violent pimps, from crazy johns etc. it protects the johns from crazy pimps, hookers etc. And it protects both from STIs. It also reduces the demand or need for pimps and on the sidewalk hookers. You ahve a b…

A 16 year old still knows the difference between right and wrong. And knows that executing someone while they're sleeping is wrong. I agree her circumstances were awful, and I'd almost forgive her for the robberies she committed based on those circumstances. But premeditated murder? There was absolutely no reason to kill him.
/r/MensRights09/01/19 06:25 AM

No it wasn't. she bought it off the street, and it was used in a robbery prior to the use in the murder.

And yet men are still at least 90% of work place deaths pretty much everywhere. Men make up a similar percentage of all the dangerous jobs out there. And you can call it hazardous all you want, but they might as well be synonyms. There's no MRA attitude, that it's unavoidable. The attitude is that it happens, and it happens to mostly men, and yet feminists are mostly, to completely silent on the issue. The same goes for suicide rates.

What I see happening is a business will form by someone that will facilitate all of the big dating sites verification needs. The company just won't provide them the actual details of the person. But certify that the user is at least the age of consent or 18. This is what they tried in the UK, and they didn't like it. Wasn't for dating sites, but rather porn. I'm not thinking in that paradigm at all. I'm clearly aware of high and lower standards of proof. I think where we are at right now is right. We can be for the most part 95%, happy with our conviction standards. In the majority of cases of a miscarriage of justice it is the fault of some other part of the justice system, a judge, a prosecutor, cops etc. that cause innocent people to go to prison. When beyond reasonable doubt works, it works well, but we need to accept that some people won't be p…

No one is saying that any proof is 100% certain, even our own system now doesn't work this way. Criminally we work on beyond reasonable doubt, that's not 100% certain, but it sure is close. But in order to make sure that innocent people aren't wrongfully convicted, we must make the sacrifice of guilty people without the evidence needed go free as well.

Unfortunately to have a fair and just society, to protect the innocent from imprisoned, we must have the system we have now, where a lack of evidence can allow a guilty person free. Because we need that in order to ensure that an innocent person, where there would be a lack of evidence is also set free

What I have learnt, the hard way unfortunately, that has changed my life, and made it much better is this: The only person that you can truly ever rely on is YOURSELF. But we aren't talking about exercise or being in shape, we're talking about body dysphoria and what women find attractive. You get bigger muscles by lifting weights 90% of the time - cycling is maybe the only cardio sport I know where you get bulk. This is about holistic health and exercise. This is specifically about not liking the way you look, and the standard that men are shown - mens fitness, mens health is orders of magnitude harder to get to than it is for women to attain theirs.

This is very evident after a study that asked women to rank men, and vice versa. Women rated 80% of men as Below average or below 5/10; while men rated 50% of as above and below. As in AVERAGE BELL curve. Women have much higher standards for men. Not only this, but for a woman to get and maintain the ideal body type really only takes not eating like a pig, and you can throw in some once or twice weekly body weight exercise. Their gender bias isn't so subtle from that link: Also in some states, the adulterous spouse may end up paying more alimony than he otherwise would have, so long as the faithful spouse is otherwise entitled to alimony. I honestly don't understand Alimony. As far as I'm aware in Australia we don't have Alimony. That seems like a bad idea. That the banks would allow such a small deposit and such a high LVR. It shouldn't be something they fear, as in, smacking shouldn't be so common that when a kid does something wrong they are fearful of getting smacked. So what do I mean by this. Well. Lets say your kid gets out of the car and then pro…

Just on a side note, never buy a house with only 3.5% deposit. I would consider 5% to be the absolute minimum, and in my eyes, still too low, and only for an investment property, and not for owner occupier. At least where I live a LVR more than 80% will generally incur what's called mortgage insurance. And that only covers the banks losses, they still come after you for the money if they use the insurance. It increases the cost of your house, and thus repayments quite considerably, and you're on…

Which states don't? You can sue anyone, you can sue even in states with a good Samaritan law, doesn't mean it will ever go to court. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Samaritan_law#United_States All 50 states and the District of Columbia have some type of Good Samaritan law. The details of good Samaritan laws/acts vary by jurisdiction, including who is protected from liability and under what circumstances. So might want to rethink that mate.
/r/MGTOW12/11/18 02:40 PM

In most jurisdictions no you cannot, unless you are deemed to have acted, recklessly, or recklessly negligent. Most jurisdictions have a good Samaritan law, which in essence (except for a few finer details), that states if you are attempting to help someone through first aid, or other emergency situation actions, like using a fire extinguisher, that you get liability protections for your actions. CPR cracks ribs when performed properly in a lot of people. CPR is violent, and anyone thinking you'…

Unless you're a medical professional, you've no obligation to help someone (in most jurisdictions). Although you could still get help and refuse to touch them, that would be the kind thing to do. You can go you're own way, you don't need to be a inhumane prick though.
/r/MGTOW12/11/18 02:30 PM

Yes only medical professionals are legally obliged to help. Citizens aren't required to. Also not to mention CPR is a very violent act, the movies don't show you what CPR looks like at all. If anyone thought you were groping or "raping" (the definition of which seems to be lost here), they'd clinically insane. For reference, real CPR looks like this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYwmct8bQe4
/r/MGTOW12/11/18 02:29 PM

You aren't obliged to save someone's life, or perform CPR. The only people who are obliged are actual medical professionals, Drs especially, nurses and EMTs to some respect.

Yeah consent can be withdrawn before an act, not after. But obviously you need to allow people to revoke consent for continued actions. If you're having sex, you should be able to stop anytime, and any continued action by the other party should be considered non consensual. But obviously withdrawing afterwards is impossible (but these days, it seems women are being taught regret can be considered as withdrawal of consent after the fact)

And now you're at the other end of the spectrum. Believing every accusation is false. And that no one making an accusation could possibly be telling the truth. Neither extreme helps anyone, and is a dumb point of view to take.

If the bottle breaks the chances of lacerations are huge. But yes if it doesn't break, it's a pretty good blunt force object, although concussion is a little unlikely as a concussion is more likely to result from a broader impact with more force to "bounce" the brain inside, a bottle is a much more concentrated blow, and the force you'd have to hit to induce a concussion I'd dare say would break the bottle.

Huh? The vacuum doesn't move the train. The vacuum just removes the air for drag purposes. Also you can't get a better vacuum than 0Pa. You can't just keep sucking. And with the train on the inside, there'd be no force from some positive pressure to move the train. A vacuum only moves something, like a fluid in a straw or tube because there's pressure pushing on the other end. You don't suck anything up with a vacuum or a straw, its being pushed, or forced by the pressure pushing on the other si…

Strange that LA uses the term Hard Labor in their Laws Statute. That sounds like some North Korean shit. The 40 years is a maximum, and the only time a minimum is set is when the victim is under 10 years old. There is no minimum for manslaughter, there is also the possibility for parole.

There's only been accusations of this, yeah sometimes they take a while to release footage, but as there'd be an investigation some places would have certain requirement for releasing the footage. Seems like all the ones people get mad at for not releasing after a while, they finally release it, and it shows no officer wrong doing, and so not showing it early hurt them instead of shielded them. I think PDs are doing a hell of a lot better, and in most cases the majority of people are good.

The US is weird. In Australia, field sobriety tests all but never used. Every officer, from the most General, General Duties patrol to the Traffic Command unit has a breathalyser in each car. You get pulled over, you do a breatho, then if you fail, go to police station for evidenciary breath test. No test at all.

Yes and no. They can start and stop recording, sure. But most body, and all those I've seen used by cops record and save video from 30 seconds prior to the record button being pressed. Which is why a lot of bodycams are silent at the start, and the audio only starts when the officer presses the record button. They can stop the recording sure, but again same thing applies as far as im aware. And any loss of footage would be incredibly dodgy. Not to mention they are uploaded to remote servers auto…

The liver grows back. That's why live donors for livers can do it. They take one lobe, and it regenerates. And it should regenerate in the recipient too. So minus some down time, it's not permanent.

After some pressing and a conversation, I determined that her reasoning for it, was for her to be a "hero" and a "lifesaver" for her own benefit, to feel good. Told her, that's not good, and the screening process would knock you out straight away when they do the psych portion..... Told her to go to her shrink and sort that shit out.... Just as people who are vaccinated can spreead disease to unvaccinated children, although the rate of transmission is lower without some symptoms of diseases, coughing sneezing, it's still possible. STD's can be passed on without the "middle-man" or "middle woman" getting the STD, and simply hitches a ride. Obviously it requires a quick turn around between partners. But it's possible.

I've certainly noticed that a single father is more likely to forgo things themselves to provide for their kids at a much greater rate than single mothers. A single father is many times more likely to go hungry, or not eat dinner to make sure his kid doesn't. A single mother would like split it in half, or find another way to not go hungry herself.

I still hold out hope, but I've learned to be incredibly cautious, to keep my cards close to my chest, and to keep my feelings in check, and to record all the negative things that might happen so that I have a record and can see quickly if they're in that crazy category. I feel like I was a great BF, and from talking with friends and family, and a few of the female friends I can stand to be around, they all agree I was, and it's nice to know they know that I would never do anything non consensua…

Oh I don't care what she does, and she can go nuts fucking whoever she wants. I was just shocked a 3.5 year relationship, where she said she'd "love me forever" and how she said she loved me before leaving to cheat on me..... And then she goes and and fucks this dude for a good 2 weeks straight, a few days after the breakup.... just confirms that she'd been cheating a long time before. Because it also only took 4 weeks for her to "love" this new guy. I just shocked at how a woman is deceptive an…

I'm in a house at the moment, not a unit. Landlord is owner. Yeah finding somewhere for my budget with some land that provides enough room for shed (as there are restrictions on where you can build from fences etc.)

Kudos tot he female judge for not putting up with this BS. She also cleared Mr Dwyer of intimidating his neighbour and being armed with a knife because of doubts about the woman's evidence.

Yeah that's what I'm doing, that's why I got everything sorted out, the loan approval, the cheque deposit, just need to find the house, that too is also a little harder, as I need somewhere with enough land to put a shed/workshop out the back for my woodworking.

No she isn't, she pays half the rent, I've never and would never have paid her rent. Where have I said that? You jump to very wild and whacky conclusions without an ounce of knowledge.

I also need somewhere to move into, it's easy to say just leave, but finding a place I can afford is very hard here at the moment. Somewhere that is still within a liveable distance from all of my Drs and hospitals etc. I have yet to find any landlord whose willing to provide less than a 12 month lease. So I would either have to live in place for 12 months wasting money, or break 2 leases. Breaking this lease also doesn't bode well for finding a new place. I am in a position to buy a house, and …

Oh I have... I've been to at least 40 house inspections a month for the past 6 months.... I have a pay out of money, but I don't want to go wasting that on rent, because it would provide zero benefit, and just waste the money that's all I''m getting for life. Rent is going to cost at least $500/week, or $2000/month. My mortgage is only going to cost me $1340/month or <$330/week. I have the mortgage approval sorted, my deposit sorted,. and just need to find a suitable place.

I've done that before, and whilst you're right, it's not worth it. She sure can't stand it, but she goes nuts, and I don't want to deal with that and "egg on" a situaton

If I had somewhere to move to, I would. But finding somewhere to rent right now where I live, is hard on it's own; but finding one with a short lease is even harder. Also rent here is very very expensive, and a disability pension aint much. So I'm looking to buy instead. I've got everything sorted for moving, and is just a case of getting up and leaving. I will enjoy taking MY TV, and the internet which she clearly takes for granted.... I don't live in the US either.

I have packed up most my stuff in boxes, and it's mostly in my room, and I'm living out of disposable plates and cutlery. She basically has zero rental history, and she doesn't earn enough to rent anywhere. She knows it. No landlord would ever accept her as a tenant, with basically zero rental history. She might be on the lease here, but it didn't help with getting it that's for sure. She took a pay cut to move to a different job for fewer hours, because it was just "too hard" there, and then sh…

Renting means I can't do anything permanent to the house, modifications wise, I wouldn't really be able to put a lock on. Most of her stuff is gone from my room, I've made sure of that. I am looking for a house to buy to move into as well. Got everything sorted, just trying to find somewhere to buy

Because of this lease thing, breaking it would cost way too much money, money that is mine, that she would have NO WAY to split and pay half, means I still have to deal with her at the moment and it is fucking awful... shows her true colours though, and helps cement the "dodged a bullet" and makes me feel better about the relationship ending everyday. I stand up for myself now, I'm not abusive, I'm still polite, and decent human being, and I'm at the very least civil. She can't be the bare minim…

I know right?! I doubt she'd even be able to keep the money, she'd blow it all quickly. She needs a "daddy" to control her money or else she'd get broke. She's so broke she's moving back in with her parents. She's got $13k of debt, and she had that debt then, and news has it, it's still at $13k 9 months later, she's literally not paid of any of it...

For background, I was in the Army, and got very badly injured, and am now disabled. I got a payout from the VA, and a pension, for lifelong disability that stops me from working before I've even turned 30. So the easiest way to understand it IMO, is future value is what the "adjusted for inflation" figure is. So 50 years ago, $20,000 would buy you a house. (median house price where I live). That $20,000 THEN, has the same value TODAY as $185,291.67 (https://www.rba.gov.au/calculator/annualDecimal.html) Another way of thinking about it is, if you filled up a shopping trolley with items that added up to $20,000 THEN, would cost you today $185,291. The value is based on CPI, or inflation, and inflati…

Future value is a little harder to work out in this case, as each payment is further out into the future, so you would have to do a calculation of future value on each single repayment. Where I live, median rental cost for a house (not apartment) is about $450-$550/week. So That's $1950-2350/month. That's closer to $23k-$28k/year. So 5 years = $117k-$141k It should also be noted that with that offset account with $104,000 in it, if I did no renovations, that minimum cost, of $356k is paid off in…

This is with my details filled in, the other was just a example with other things not filled in. https://imgur.com/FoYdGYw Between $356k and $492k plus the $174k deposit I put down. Roughly. Although $492k is max, as this is assuming zero offset from the start. It could be less than the $356k though if i come into more money, or have more money in the offset over time, through my income and what not. Depending on what I do with my renovation fund and when, will depend how much interest I save fr…

Or if the dad walks out, lets be honest here, not every man is perfect, nor good either. It happens. Just because the statisitcs say what they say, doesn't mean it is true for 100% of cases. Some single mothers do a great job, but they're also the women who hate feminists, who actually provide for society, and who also understand that raising their kids by themselves isn't ideal, and don't try to claim to do better than without a father in the picture. They are humble and accept it would be bett…

Contemplating posting her "diary" entry where she whines about me not paying off her debt and buying her car. Where she asks her self "does this sound like I'm a petulant child?" That's as self aware as she has ever been.

I'm glad it helped. I did some basic economics and finances at uni too, but it wasn't until we had a guest lecturer who explained it practically with real world examples; and it just clicked. The FV and PV, and inflation clicked when he used a shopping cart to explain it. In 10 years, the same shopping cart will cost more, and so your money is "worth" less with each year. And then working out when it was better to "rent" something at a fixed price compared to buying out right. And as long as pay…

Yeah paid off my car, and although it cost $45k to do so, the money I save not having monthly repayments is better than the interest I earn on that $45k anyway. Paid off credit cards, and cancelled all but one, and reduced that CC limit to $4000 from $10k So I've got no liabilities except for the one CC. And the ex bitch has got $13k of cc debt, and it hasn't gone down any at all after a year. She's awful at money, and expected to get it all from my disability pay out.....

There isn't just inflation though, there's also the appreciation of the asset above inflation. An asset usually doubles in value between 7-10 years. In 30 years, a conservative figure would be 2.5x (although it's closer to 4x) A 30 year mortgage at 5% costs over the lifetime 1.93x. Take away 2% inflation per year (from the 5% and redo the calcualtion) gives 1.5x when adjusted for inflation. So you put in 1.5x money, and you get out, 2.5-4x. So an overall "profit" or benefit, of 100-250% A mortga…

You can't own a home these days without having a mortgage, but it's better than renting, because your money is going toward the asset, and not into someone else asset. It's always better to pay your own mortgage than it is to pay someone elses. Because at the end of 30 years of paying for it, at least you'll probably have a house a an asset afterwards, than when you rent and you have fuck all. But you're still considered to be a home owner even with a mortgage, lets not get into semantics..
