I know what you mean. I sold residential alarms door to door when I was young. I would knock 100 doors knowing there was a paycheck behind one of those doors. What I was hoping to do was set three appointments and close one deal. Sometimes I made a dozen appointments and closed better than half. Sometimes the 3/1 was all I could do. I learned in Sales a long time ago that you will get 7 “No’s” before getting a “Yes”. It’s a numbers game and you just have to keep playing. Don’t get me wrong, you have to keep honing your skills and approach. The day will come when you won’t hear the seven No’s. Get a No, blow it off and move on to the next one. Their Loss!
