Get ChatGPT to write a response. I did that to a similar question and I told her I did. She said it was cheating… I said I should get points for original thinking. She did go out with me.

Seems to randomly move to the next question while I’m typing, and I started retyping thinking I did something wrong and I don’t realize I’m now answering a different question.

Similar with me… don’t want to be thought of as a “creep”. But that’s usually unfounded - unless you really do something creepy of course. They may act like they don’t want to be approached but most have an ego just like men and deep down they are proud that someone found them attractive enough to approach them. If a woman approached you, even if not attracted to them, wouldn’t you feel good? That’s how they feel even though they won’t show it.

This is from when i took it several years ago. Not sure if it has changed. It’s a 20 week treatment. Then you are usually done forever. I did the lowest dosage which I think was 20 mg/day. My acne was relatively mild, but persistent. I don’t recall when I saw results but it’s pretty quick. So are the side effects (dry lips for me) but they go away after the treatment ends. It alters your oil glands which is why it is a fixed time treatment. I get maybe one or two zits a year now.

I started running at 44. I ran my first marathon at 49. I’ve done 6 so far and numerous smaller races (half marathons, 10k’s and 5k’s). I’m not nearly the fastest, but in smaller races I have placed in my age group (now 51). I run with a few running groups and have met a lot of people and made a lot of new friends - not so easy in your 40’s and 50’s to meet new people, and the running has helped a lot.

This. I did an Accutane treatment about 20-some years ago and I might get one or two zits a year now, maybe. It permanently alters your oil glands. Twenty weeks and most people are done. For good. Severe cases may need another round.

What’s your goal in choosing a song? My opinion with karaoke (and I don’t do it very often) is that the best songs are those that most people are very familiar with. Maybe it’s me or my age, but I don’t think I would recognize either of those. The last time I did karaoke, I did She Shook Me All Night Long by AC/DC. The place went wild because everyone knows that song and it has great tempo.

Keep it neat. I’m Italian American and my body is pretty hairy - lots of dark hair. I also lift and do long distance running so I wear a tank/singlet a lot. I use a Man Groomer to shave my back hair, shoulders, neck, biceps, and clavicle area about twice a week. I like the look better. I do not shave my chest (which is very hairy), legs, etc. I keep a razor in the shower and shave my balls and shaft. I started doing this when i had to shave them for my snippage (vasectomy). I kinda liked it so i…

They need to make up majors like that so they can give jobs to a few of those who took majors that do not provide any marketable skills, other than to teach new students those same unmarketable skills. It keeps the student loan money flowing into the university coffers.

I'm turning 50 in 3 months. About 7 years ago, I looked at a few people I knew who were my age or around 50 and said "I'm not going to be like that". I do a keto diet - have been for the last 7 years or so. I recently ran two marathons (26.2 miles), one in November and one two weeks later in December, and training for another one this December, with a few half marathons in between. Lift a few days a week. A woman last night guessed my age... she said 38! Some people here look down upon running b…

That didn't seem like an option. This was not an end user tool where support was answering dumb questions... the support part was part pre-sales and part post-sales, then for a while it was also filling orders, where the general software sales model was that a CD was shipped - so I was doing that also. And I did all my own accounting... Could I have outsourced some of that - yes, probably. But hindsight is 20/20... I'm also a bit of a control freak... Freelance programming somewhat appeals to me…

Starting my own company was rewarding. I started it in late 1994, around the start of the Internet boom. I sold and supported the software via web and email. I got contracts with a few large companies, and did pretty well. It was niche software that solved some specific problems, and has no or very few competitors for a time. The software has become somewhat obsolete but still sells some licenses. It's all about ideas. I can program just about anything but getting an idea of something that meets…

I learned programming at a technical high school (BASIC and COBOL) back in the mid 80's. Most of the kids were fuck ups and just wanted to get baked every day, but I used the opportunity. The teacher taught some stuff but he wasn't very good (and older guy who came up teaching typing and punch cards). So I learned a lot on my own using the school's equipment and sometimes even taught him stuff and the class. I got a job as an intern my senior year and ended up working there as a programmer for 2…

Order what you like. I go in phases. A majority of the time, I order beer. If it's a chain without a lot of interesting choices, I get something simple like a Coors Light or Yuengling Lager. If they have lots of craft beers, I will generally get something light and low in alcohol. I hate IPA and I don't like getting drunk and don't like wasting the calories. When I get tired of beer, I'll go with a vodka and club soda - Tito's or Kettle One. Sometimes a gin and tonic, if they have diet tonic, wh…

You won't have to cook - except in a microwave maybe... I mean practical stuff like cleaning a bathroom, laundry, shopping, public transportation, budgeting money, budgeting time, waking up on time, getting to class, doing homework... all the stuff being on your own entails. Some kids get experience with that before they head off. Others have mom & dad deal with that stuff and it's a total shock to them when they get dropped off at school. Some figure it out, others have a hard time adapting. So…

I know it sounds great to get away, and everyone has their reasons. But be sure you are really prepared to be AWAY if you are 20 hours away. I mean socially, and practically (self sufficient). My son is at a school about 6 hrs away and he's doing ok, but it's a pain in the ass logistically.

The house and real estate does not factor into your FAFSA. Only income and cash and investments. Apply and see what they offer. It usually only costs like $50 or so to apply. You don't have to accept their offer. It almost certainly won't be $70k. My son, with mediocre grades, applied to a school that had web site cost of $67k and his cost would have been $45k. And my income is over $100k.
/r/askTRP08/02/17 03:33 AM

Is >$70k the cost from the school's web site? Is it a state school? If it's a private school and you have decent grades, parents are lower or lower-middle class (or are in a politically protected class), almost no one pays the cost shown on the web site. You have to apply to find out what their offer is though, and you can bargain to some extent (they have all your parents financial info so you can't cry poor). My daughter is at a private school (web site says >$40k) and she got like $10k in gra…

Depends what kind of development you want to do. To me, he language is basically irrelevant - it's just syntax. Once you know how to program, you can do it in any language. If you want to do web front end development, learn JavaScript, Typescript, and the Angular framework or React framework and of course HTML and CSS. I'm in software development also. I work for a company in the IT dept but I also started my own side business 20 years ago selling some software that I wrote. That second income was very nice. I had mild acne into adulthood. In my mid 20's I did Accutane after the dermatologist tried just about everything else. It's tough. You get very dry, but I was on the lowest dosage and it was bearable. You take it for 20 weeks and then you are done. It permanently changes your oil glands. The dryness pretty much goes away. You should have said "bye" and went somewhere, without s…

She's probably one of the type that presses the FDA to approve the "female viagra" recently, which the FDA reluctantly did - but they resisted because it had serious side effects and basically didn't work. But the feminists so wanted there to be such a pill, that they forced the FDA politically to approve it.

Just about everything in my company's health plan is free for women, with not even a copay. Gyn exams, mammograms, birth control pills, etc. all included, no copays. If a guy wants ED meds, he has to go to the doctor (copay) and then get insurance pre approval, and then only Cialis is available and you get 8 pills at a time, and if you aren't approved, even if the doctor wrote the script, it costs $430 for the 8 pills out of pocket. F HER.

Yep. Like I said, with the discount it's a great deal. 60% is definitely worth prepaying for a year. I would take that deal in a minute.

The discount is great. But without that, no way I would pay a year upfront. I have seen too many gyms just close up without notice. And they keep all the prepaid membership fees.

Right, they don't want to piss off the bank or credit card transaction processor... Too many complaints and reversals and they will get dropped. I would e MORE wary of a business that did NOT accept credit cards. My gym does monthly debits from my bank account and doesn't allow it to go on a credit card and I held my nose and joined. I would feel safer with credit card billing.

I use PF. It's fine for my purposes. I run a lot, and I do that on trails. But I use PF to work on my core and arms, and to run on the treads when I can't outside due to weather. I was a member at the local YMCA and its facilities accommodated more hard core lifting, but the fees got too high, especially compared to PF.

Not me. Trump is likely going to win something he has no business winning. I admire that. Unfortunately it may result in President Hillary, or even worse, President Sanders....

Wrong. Admiration or attribution is not idolatry. It's simply recognizing some traits. Don't corrupt the word. Just like disagreement nowadays is portrayed as "hate". Those words are used to shut down debate.

Love this summary. I want to print it and give it to my two teenage sons. I would pin it in my office if we didn't convert to a fucking open floor plan...

I'm not "idolizing" him but you are wrong. Don't throw out the Hitler bullshit. I was skeptical of Trump until last night. The media threw more shit at him, claiming that some "white supremacist" supports him. So what? Louis Farakkhan supported Obama... Trump handled it perfectly. No groveling, excuses for something he can't control - his response: "Everyone loves me". That's the correct response to that shit test.
