How do you think women have been mistreated for centuries? Better than men. Men were required to die very ugly deaths in wars. Women weren't. Men had to go out into the unsafe world and make a living at a job that was most likely dangerous. Women didn't. Women had (yes) to stay home, get to raise their kids and socialize with their friends who are also raising kids. Nearly no danger to what is very satisfying and meaningful work. But how do you think the ladies feel when they are not included in…

If her venting breaks sub rules, then no. It should not be allowed. Especially since men are FAR more likely to kill themselves. I'm really sorry to hear this. It's not right for this to happen to one of your supports.

The woke (intersectional feminists) constantly project. It's a major psychological component of the "movement".

The patronization is the same as racists too. Ever consider that it's primarily women who are telling men how to act? How to behave "properly"? How "not to rape"? The way that feminists talk to men mirrors the way white supremacists of yore talked to the "Negro race" on how to "civilize themselves". Can you imagine the Left coming out with "toxic blackness"?

I was just banned from a sub that claims to be a safe space for feminists to "call out" misogyny but is actually a space to demonize, belittle, and dehumanize men with other feminists, all of whom are telling each other that their hate is good, their hate is acceptable, their hate is righteous. My comments were civil, rational and empathetic to men but completely intolerant of their displayed bigotry. I was banned for "incivility".... All the bigots rolling in their hate like a pig in shit? It's like being an athiest in a country ruled by religion. Absolutely agree. Or like an anticapitalist in America. I just posted a new discussion asking what would the world be like without a feminist bias in academia. I'd love your thoughts on it!

Take a look at the homelessness report out of York University. It's on this website, which carries the same bias. They refuse to acknowledge men are the primary victims of homelessness and HIDE the fact that men are primary victims by splitting up the demographics into "LGBT", "Indigenous" and age demographics (young and old) without EVER giving a stat on how many men are homeless (I think it's buried in a footnote on the last page of the report.) This is when I became truly anti-feminist: when …

That and supporting the ethno-nationalist sentiments of Canada's indigenous peoples. "We own the majority of the landmass of Canada" they say to the PM, and he agrees. I'm willing to bet most Canadians consider the majority of Canada to belong to, y'know.....Canada..... and that those who are fine with this will be quick to change their tune the moment they live outside of The City and actually see the structural inequality (like racially-segregated schools and medical offices) that arises from …

Carney was a central banker. Anyone who thought he was going to be anything but a "feminist" Harper was deluding themselves from the start. Oh, but "elbows up!". All it took was a few comments about Trump and everybody rushed him into office. It's actually embarrassing.

As a Canadian, it's entirely typical. This is the same "feminist" government that promised 99% of Canada's foreign aid would only go to women. Because boy soldiers are just going to grow into "toxic men", right? I've written civil, informative emails to the Minister for Gender Equality on multiple occasions and I have never received even a form letter. Their arrogance knows no bounds. There's nothing to listen to because we're not wrong; we're "misinformed".

Good reasoning and layout. The only reason people don't (usually) do that kind of stuff anymore is because of the modern techno wonderland MEN toiled away to build. Reminds me of a cartoon where a guy is fighting someone else outside a cave/hut/castle/house as time progresses. Each time period, the woman from inside the domicile asks "Is it safe yet??" and the man fighting says "No!". Finally, we get to modern times and the guy's able to say "Yes!" to the question. So the woman comes out, hits t…

Pro-choice is pro-women's choice. It's a system wherein women get to choose for men whether or not they'll be financially supporting a child for 18 years. A man has no rights when it comes to abortion. So the title is still correct - women have more legal rights than men. And far, far more social rights. However, Trump's invasion of the Supreme Court and their decision on abortion was horrific. Nobody should feel forced to carry a child to term - that's body horror nobody should have to suffer.

The whole Woke thing is exactly that. I can't pretend it's just a theory in my mind anymore. This all started right around Occupy Wall Street. We were starting to discuss the 1% and create class consciousness. The rich got scared and used social media to divide the working class. We were so close to a society where everyone knew about the exploitation of the working class, the 1% and how our society is entirely created around benefiting the rich. While I embrace personal freedoms, much more good…

noone has gotten drafted since Vietnam. Which is a more recent injustice than women being denied the vote but feminists will never fail to bring that up as an excuse to hate men. Men's problems = more than 60 years ago, who cares. Women's problems = more than 100 years ago, EVERYBODY MUST CARE.

Another way in which men have less rights: procreation rights. A woman has the legal choice (in most Western countries) to abort a fetus, to abrogate any responsibility for the child that would grow from that fetus. A woman also the legal choice to not abort a baby AND make the "father" (sperm donor) pay for HER choice for 18 years. A man cannot force a woman to abort a baby, which is right. But a man also cannot similarly abrogate legal and financial responsibility for that fetus. A man cannot …

It's a bad argument. Ask them if a black trans man have more power than women. Because when they shit on "men", they're shitting on black people, trans people, disabled people, suicidal people, poor people and people who are all of those at the same time. They're all men too and feminist intersectionalism denies that they have more power than white women. It's just an excuse to hate.

Grasping for ANY counter to the fact that men kill themselves more and grasping for that counter-argument because she knows the only other option is to feel empathy for men and that's simply not an option. All these younger feminists that have based their personality and ego around "Feminism" since 2016 are going to be life-long feminists. As someone who has dealt with thoughts of suicide, I can tell you that men are successful more when they try because they know nobody's going to care if they ATTEMPT a suicide. They're already "on the right side of history". It's not that this sub and feminists disagree with each other; it's that we don't understand feminism well enough and so that's why we disagree don't agree with them. Every data point about how society mistreats men is wrong, or misogynist, or "they don't have to debate nonsense with you", or "they won't waste their time arguing with you", or...... They're religious fundamentalists.

Yes, feminists ignore these women because they're inconvenient, I agree. These are women who are happy doing domestic work and, just as you described, have no desire to climb the corporate ladder or be a "professional". They want to watch their kids grow up. That's what I wanted too. I just have to bear all my neighbours and townsfolk thinking I'm a lazy slack-ass because I'm raising my kids at home. No offense, but you're a rando on the internet but even worse, this seems to confirm something that I have suspected for a long time: academia is misandrist, especially in the social science, and that this misandry / female bias is severely warping the data that comes out of gender studies.

I've saved this. Thanks so much for typing it out; it will make a wonderful resource. 37-39 is something I've been thinking about a lot. There's a wealth of "studies" to show that women are poor oppressed creatures bravely fighting against an enemy who's both all-powerful and craven at the same time because how could "gender studies" have any other output? No wonder there's a dearth of male-specific studies; it's probably career suicide pursuing such a line of study and would hurt future opportu…

So how do the rich benefit from a socially and legally acceptable hate site? One that promotes the regressive viewpoint of the ctrl-left in which our differences are closely guarded (and monetized), hate in the right direction is socially acceptable and even encouraged, and creates perhaps irreparable damage to healthy gender and racial relationships? I mean, why would the rich want the working class to divide itself into in-fighting units that focus on the slight differences in privileges among…

A reminder that 91% of men who suicided asked for help first. Dead men get victim-blamed for suicide constantly by feminism, even though men kill themselves at more than TWICE the rate of woman. (In Canada, it was five times as much as women in 2020.) Nobody is asking why this is happening to men because asking why requires empathy and nobody is interested in extending empathy to men. Okay. Personally, I try to pick my battles. You want to be your most effective because otherwise you end up (accidentally) hurting the movement. A post of someone being clearly hateful towards / dehumanizing women is not a good place to bring your argument against misandry. There are many, many, many, many other places on Reddit in which you can object to misandry. To be clear, I am NOT saying that hate justifies hate, just that choosing your battles is an important skill to learn.

But you don't have absolute free speech because we're talking on a corporate internet. So, as stated, many countries other than the US have laws against hate speech and so they can perform praxis on this front. Plus, I don't think it should be legal to call for the death or dismemberment of a particularly demographic so I guess we disagree on absolute free speech.

The Bible includes subjugation of both men and women because it's a (imo) somewhat historical record and the rich have subjugated the poor for all of human history. However, it can't be denied that the Bible shows women clearly having less rights and freedom as men. The space they could occupy, physically or intellectually or socially or profesionally, was much tinier than even a poor man's. Did YHWH pick on first-born sons? Not everybody is American so, no, I'm not going to prioritize American politics over men's health and safety What other groups do is their business. Clearly identifying hate sites against men is part of the work of this sub. The public consciousness needs to accept that "hate against men" exists and if a government, any government, recognizes this, it will save men's lives. Globally. Wow, that's even worse. On the English one, they can barely confirm that misandry even exists and then recently a feminist added a link to a report called "The Misandry Myth", which SOUNDS like they're saying misandry is a myth. Useful paper, thanks. However, there was only one example of a woman tying off a man's penis. I understand how easy it can be to exaggerate, especially when we know how often feminists exaggerations are believed and instituted as "knowledge". It's always men's fault because they've convinced themselves that men shape society. If societal attitudes harm men, then it's 'men harming men'. This is why the myth of "patriarchy" is so important to feminists: without it, they can't blame men for everything wrong in society.

the reasons why men do it is what matters Feminists don't ask why men are doing it because they already know why: because men are worse than women. That's why you'll see feminists embrace the idea that the indigenous only have high rates of alcoholism because of intergenerational trauma and colonialism. Black people only have higher rates of crime because racism. But when it comes to men and violence? crickets Nobody asks WHY men are more likely to murder because it doesn't make sense to ask a q…

Good breakdown. Feminism depends on "toxic masculinity" to decrease criticism of feminism. Freedom of speech is not freedom from consequence. Yes, it is. "Freedom of speech is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or a community to articulate their opinions and ideas without fear of retaliation, censorship, or legal sanction." It doesn't matter what the context is. It's hate. These people are openly being bigots and bigots don't have the right to claim "context". Now, I'm not calling them bigots for saying something with which I disagree (the modern definition of "racist" or "sexist") but because they are explicitly being bigots. Negatively generalizing about an entire gender makes you a bigot. There is NO context that justifies that. Their trauma (if it even exists) doesn't give them the right to spread hate.

Are you referring to that study of that website (or app?) that showed that all of these women were cheating with the same few guys? Because I'm not sure that's enough to make the claim you're making.

While I agree that talking things out is a good idea, I really don't think therapists earn their money and don't agree with Reddit's opinion that everybody should be seeing a therapist for every challenge in their lives. Capitalists doubled the amount of workers they could exploit from 1980 onwwards. I hope the ideology burns, and from the ashes, a truly inclusive egalitarian movement can blossom and vigorously work to tackle real class issues. Hear hear. If we want to tackle class issues, woke ideology will have to burn along with feminism, though, because it's almost designed to divide the working class. Solidarity doesn't exist in an environment where white men only get to speak when women and 'POC' are done speaking. (e.g.., NDP policy conventions, Occupy movement, many others.)

The solid argument is that it is unethical (i.e., wrong) to force a man to pay for something for 18 years just because the woman wants it.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/08/25 10:49 PM
5

I see the logic of that but that is also unfair because the woman is left with the only options to be forced into an abortion happening to her against her wishes of to be left with the consequences from both parties participating in sex. She's not forced to have an abortion. Abortion is pro-choice, remember? It's a choice. If the father doesn't want to pay for a baby SHE wants, she can look into loans or if her family will help. But yes, if she can't afford the child, she should have an abortion…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/08/25 10:47 PM
5

If you really wanted this: then you'd set up a contract with the woman where you take sole ownership of the baby, pay for all doctors visits beforehand, and pay for the woman 9 months to carry the baby to term. Why should a man pay for a woman's choice? Men in our society are highly more likely to not fight for custody. Majority of custody fights are settled by the man refusing to be the parent. Men in our society are constantly told that women are better parents and, contrary to feminist belief…
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/08/25 08:08 PM
5

Is there a better alternative? Not really. Yes. When a woman finds out she's pregnant, she has a duty to inform the father within x days. The father then has y days to decide whether or not he wants to be legally and financially responsible for the baby. He lets the mother know of his decision. Then the mother can decide whether to abort or have the child. What's the issue?
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/08/25 08:05 PM
12

but what can we do? It's pretty simple, actually. We just have the will to make it happen. When a woman finds out she's pregnant, she has a duty to inform the father within x days. The father then has y days to decide whether or not he wants to be legally and financially responsible for the baby. He lets the mother know of his decision. Then the mother can decide whether to abort or have the child. Everybody has choice and the child doesn't become a ward of the state from birth. Easy-peasy.
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/08/25 08:04 PM
8

It's anti-choice, definitely. It's more anti-choice as forced pregnancy, actually, because it allows an individual to choose an 18-year financial commitment on behalf of someone else. A woman can give birth and then put the kid up for adoption. A father has no such choice. In no sane legal landscape can one person force a choice upon someone else, especially one with such serious consequences. I can't think of anything else analogous in law or society. Typically, it comes down to money. The stat…

Your reply was. This seems true of all humans not just feminists or women. We do like our biases and preconceptions. False. I've been examining my biases and preconceptions since I was a teenager and I haven't stopped since. You didn't answer the question. (It's not surprising. Feminists don't challenge their own beliefs. That's how the movement became overrun with bigots.) Are violent women damaged goods as well?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/25 06:56 PM

Women tend to be hypergamists and marry men richer than themselves. That's why most women do not HAVE to provide the primary income for the family and are FREE to pursue their interests (while they complain about a false "pay gap"). I have sympathy pity for “nice guys” simply because of the amount of anger they live with. FTFY. "Sympathizing" with a group of people you've defined within a demographic is bigotry. You're pushing your own assumptions onto other people and then reacting to yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/25 06:55 PM
1

Maybe women should just take on asking guys out. But they won't because then they won't get the ego boost of guys pursuing them. Which IS an ego boost when it's appreciated. Like wearing tight clothes to be attractive.

One of the purposes of modern feminism is to ensure that women never have to reconsider their gender assumptions.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/25 11:47 PM

So men just have to magically know the right venues that each women finds "appropriate", say exactly the right words, and listen to people's unspoken thoughts, they'll be just fine.

Um, yeah it absolutely IS discriminatory when a man is not being picked because he's short. That's height discrimination and not at all like "not being picked for a job". Unless, you know, it's a government job and you're a white guy, in case it probably IS discrimination, just a legally and socially unrecognized form. Don't worry; we'll get there. :)
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/25 11:44 PM

Correct. Most women who talk about this in general are assuming the guy approaching them is NOT someone they want to approach them. So when the reverse happens, and a man they find attractive approaches them, the context is so different to what they imagined that they probably don't even realize they're being hypocritical. This is why self-reporting statistics are bullshit. People will answer a survey question as if it's a chance to re-write reality. So when 90% (or whatever) of UK women under 2…

Don't kid yourself - that 'violent' doesn't really have to be there, does it? And what about violent women? Are they damaged as well? What about the verbally and emotionally abusive women, the ones who are in their element? Broken? And you didn't take up the opportunity to realize that you're judging people with no way of knowing what their lived experience actually is like. This reminds me feminists' judgement of male sexuality. "It's wrong because it's not like women."

Did the documentary mention FGM? I wouldn't agree that would be deflection because circumcision isn't yet seen as male mutilation and so there's very little opportunity to create a discussion about it. Plus, our society talks about women, and helping women, exactly 9.27x as much as it does men, so there's less opportunity to discuss men's issues, especially since feminists rarely allow men to be seen as victims.

Funny how feminism built its recent power on these kinds of generalizations but when men talk about what they've experienced, they're innundated with "links?" as if people screenshot everything in their online lives, screenshots that would just be qualified or argued with anyways. Many men’s issues do get raised as a deflection in conversations about women’s issues, so the observation of that is factual. Usually the subject has been defined as a "women's issue", even though it affects men as well, so bringing up how it affects men as well isn't a "deflection".

Five's an arbitrary number, and my 'ways' are all interconnected but I will list you some ways in which feminism hurts men. No problem. First, though: Feminists were the first to say that men didn't have to conform to narrow bands to be men. Unprovable claims aren't a great way to start a discussion. There's no way to prove that feminists were the first people to say men aren't limited to "narrow bands" to be men. Secondly, feminists are claiming to have saved men (because feminism clearly has a…

There is isnt there? No, there isn't. Feminists and women are never asked to consider their sexism, their gender assumptions and their female privilege. Women just tend to have had it worse historically. /r/PurplePillDebate30/07/25 02:53 AM

Not when you consider child support and that a man generally has to maintain the ex-wife's (and the kids) standard of living - even if she couldn't have afforded that standard of living on her own income. Gets to have the kids, gets paid for it, gets paid extra because her husband contributed more to their household than she did. Divorce laws are definitely gynocentric.

The role of a wife under patriarchy is essentially that of an employee, where a woman provides a very specific set of services (that can be performed by literally any female person interchangeably: cook, clean, sex, birth, raise the kids, wipe your husband's ass, chew his food for him and spit it back in his mouth, etc etc) and in exchange the man compensates her by funding their lifestyle. It's a common feminist tactic to take a privilege and dress it in the clothes of oppression. So a woman wa…

Men are constantly blamed for not going to therapy (and considering the suicide rate, it's outright victim-blaming) but nobody ever seems to question if therapy is good for men. Feminists are so far out to lunch they don't see anything wrong with proscribing how men should act and behave. Imagine one race doing that to another. It's too bad r/menkempf was shut down because it's sadlarious that the people who speak about men in such ways think they are at all capable of deciding what men should be. Feminism hurts men and doesn't care that it does so of course their concept of "healthy" masculinity doesn't respect men's personhood or rights.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/25 11:20 PM

We haven't prioritized bullying as a society yet. Probably because it more often happens to boys. Yes, girls get cyberbullied and verbally bullied too but boys get beaten and cyberbullied more often. That's really shitty about that dude at your school. He has every right to be an individual without being mocked by people too scared of what others think to express themselves as individuals.

Hypergamy is the fact that women are more likely to date and marry men with a higher income than them. I'm not sure how this app proves this. Incidentally, hypergamy is already proven and is used to create sympathy for divorced women. Now the statistic is that a divorced women's income "drops by as much as 30%" while men's income see little to no decrease. Isn't it on women to stop overvaluing such a...ephemeral trait? Confidence means social confidence and the women that are attracted to it are also the women who want/expect to be taken on a romantic/sexual escapade, all provided by the man who will always know the right things to say and the right things to do. So it's not really "self-confidence" but confidence in his ability to please the woman (sexually or romantically).
