ironically, women are literally a majority, as well as the majority of voters, employed, housed, people with access to education, people with access to healthcare, people with access to legal defense...

Anybody who has reported hate speech against men to the admins (an action that got my first account banned) will be very familiar with this fact

Eh, I had quite a bit of hate taken down, even saw posts appearing from those who post it complaining about being banned "over nothing" actually. It's luck based as well as probably dependent on how blatant the hate is (equating MGM and female circumcision or promoting the patriarchy conspiracy are hate speech of course, but would never be taken down but something very on the nose is 50/50)

I did. Someone made a sexist statement against men. I used the exact same statement and change the subject to black people and I got banned.

mostly reddit is a business, mysandry at worst doesn't harm their corporate interests, nor shareholder value, and at best it may be actually beneficial/profitable to be a man-hating site, or ignoring the hate, if it brings profit, changing that would requite a change in culture and maybe a change of biology (at least to some extent) and even then who knows if it will work,

having said that, yes, reddit is a shithole, and reporting hate speech is still important, just not effective, for economic reasons.

I don't deny that that post was misogyny. What that comment said is that you don't need to be a misogynist to care about men's mental health.

Whenever we get banned from a sub for challenging misandric hate speech, we need to remind the mods on modmail that their subs are in violation of sitewide rules.

When calling them out for hate speech, for the sake of argument, we must bluff by conveniently ignoring Reddit's double standard favoring groups designated as "vulnerable" (namely women, and not men), until it's brought up by them; then tell them how the modern Left's appeal to "historical oppression" is flawed and fallacious.

That said, most laws under capitalism favor the rich. Reddit is rich, so they get a pass, just like most other social medias.

Given the recent USA attacks on free speech, especially laws like SESTA/FOSTA/SAFE and age-verification laws, I think this may do more harm than good.

If this does somehow generate press, it will just be used by those groups to lobby/launder their intent

The first released policy said that only hate speech against "minority groups" weren't allowed, meaning that hate speech against Christians, white people, men, and straight people were perfectly fine.

I had this same problem with reporting hate against Catholicism! Someone was hating on me for my Catholic beliefs and calling Bible accounts a myth (in a belligerent manner) so I reported it to Reddit at least two times under “harassment.“ That person’s comment is still up, but I’m glad I could change the subject quick enough and focus on the historical aspect I was aiming for instead of whether the accounts were true or not. It was in my post about misandry examples in the Bible.
