Maybe don’t say you’re embarrassed by her..Just stick to what and why. Explain what about the situation is embarrassing you and why. Having to go through with a divorce can make some people feel like a failure (Myself included). I know I just wanted to know where I went wrong, so I don’t make the same mistakes again. I’m not sure I have come to terms. I set up marriage counseling, but like yours, mine had already made up her mind. In the session, the therapist asked what we wanted out of our sessions. I said to work on communication and stay married. She said communication, co-parent, and divorce. I knew then, there was nothing I could do to convince her to come back. That’s what I assume. Since she moved in with her right away. Then expects me to immediately start a 2/2/3 custody schedule and allow my daughter to spend a night at their place.
