Perceived Child AbuseI set up an appointment this morning to talk to the director Monday. Will post an update if there’s anything worth mentioning. | /r/MensRights | 29/04/22 01:27 PM
Perceived Child AbuseAfter reading these comments, I think I’m going to. | /r/MensRights | 28/04/22 10:01 PM
Perceived Child AbuseI don’t blame them for being concerned, I honestly appreciate it, even though in this situation I think concern came way too early. I do blame them for not taking my son aside privately. My beef is that it embarrassed me, but other kids heard that too, he’s young, but at a certain age that influences how other kids see him too. | /r/MensRights | 28/04/22 08:38 PM
Perceived Child AbuseThis is a really good comment, something I haven’t thought of before and honestly, probably showing a little bit of my own biases for not thinking about this. | /r/MensRights | 28/04/22 08:12 PM
Perceived Child AbuseYou know, it’s been a few weeks and I’ve all mostly dropped it, but after reading the comments here I might bring it up again to the director myself. | /r/MensRights | 28/04/22 08:11 PM
Perceived Child AbuseI didn’t get it from your comment, but I reread mine and thought it could possibly be taken from it. Really appreciate your input! | /r/MensRights | 28/04/22 07:37 PM
Perceived Child AbuseYup, I’m fuming now lol Another commenter mentioned watching a child’s behavior.. isn’t it obvious 99% of the time that it’s a guys child if you watch them interact for a few minutes?! | /r/MensRights | 28/04/22 07:31 PM
Perceived Child AbuseI hope I didn’t paint my wife in a bad light, there’s a lot of positives at this daycare too, he has good friends there, we love his main teacher and it’s geographically very convenient. All in all, I agreed I could wait it out until he’s in preschool. But thank you for your suggestions and concerns! | /r/MensRights | 28/04/22 07:29 PM
Perceived Child AbuseI have plenty of faults for sure, but at least my wife knows beyond a doubt that child abuse is not me. I’m lucky for that | /r/MensRights | 28/04/22 07:26 PM
Perceived Child AbuseI’ve never heard of this happening before, now my blood is boiling | /r/MensRights | 28/04/22 07:25 PM
Perceived Child AbuseThe follow up was I asked my wife if she would talk to the director, since it seemed like that would have more impact. It’s funny, my son said “no” when asked if I did it, so the worker followed up and asked if mom did it to which he said “yes”. I quickly added that mom didn’t do it, but mom said he could jump off the chair. I could chalk this up to just one bad worker, but the other incident was from multiple people that worked there. Thanks for the advice, I wanted to change daycares, but wife… | /r/MensRights | 28/04/22 07:03 PM
Perceived Child AbuseMy wife had my back, but that week was terrifying not knowing what would happen, and also wondering if and who the eff hit my kid | /r/MensRights | 28/04/22 06:59 PM
