Discovered this sub this morning seeking out news regarding female dating strategy.

I’ve never been able to properly vent, but recent celebrity news and reading posts here, I’m fired up again. No need to read, just an angry male rant.

A few weeks ago my 3 year old asked mom if he could jump off the chair (children’s chair, 1.5 feet off the ground). Mom said sure, he jumped, and face planted the coffee table and ended up getting a black eye.

The next morning I dropped him off to daycare and immediately his teacher squatted down and asked him about his black eye and asked if “dad did this to you?” I was beyond shocked. The blatant disregard that I’m standing right there, the assumption that any injury was maliciously inflicted by me. Now I appreciate that they’re watching out for his safety at home, but there is no trend of him coming in with injuries aside from the occasional “little boy scraped knee” type of injury.

Now, I’m a bigger muscular tattooed man, so I know people see me and have preconceived notions, but anyone that knows me knows that I’m a pile of mush that would never hit a kid.

But unfortunately this isn’t even the first time this has happened. Same daycare, same son, somehow when he was younger he fractured his skull. Mom and I never recalled an incident, and daycare didn’t report one either, to this day, it’s a mystery how it happened. Anyways, the doctor told mom that the injury was either intentional or incidental. It’s not severe enough to report to child services, but there’s an additional, optional x-ray that could rule out abuse, so naturally we did it. Oh, but doctor told mom privately that if something was happening at home that she should tell him.

While waiting for the results, I could feel all eyes on me at daycare, I caught looks, and felt uncomfortable. Meanwhile I KNEW it wasn’t me or my wife, and I'm struggling with embarrassment and rage that it's possible a daycare worker hit my son. Results came back as non-abusive, but for a week I had to endure the walk of shame. And I keep thinking about Amber Heard’s comment “no one will believe you because you’re a man.”
