Sorry man You don't need a reason for separation. It depends on what your jurisdiction laws are. Some areas, you can apply for at fault divorce, of which infidelity is a valid reason. I don't know much about at fault but from what I have learned on this sub, is that if infidelity is proven, you might get a relief on alimony payments. For no fault jurisdiction, I'll give Canada as an example: no reason required, but the form specifies things to pick: infidelity, abuse, irreconcilable differences.

Lot of factors at play here. Were you served in US? You need to consult a lawyer who is knowledgeable of the Hague Convention, as I understand it, international divorce falls under that jurisdiction. My STBXW is doing same thing after walking out on me, posting vague but clearly directed insta stories which are full of self pity, and feminism in general. I have chosen to be the bigger man and uninstalled all apps, it's taken a bit of mental toll on me not being connected to some people but it's the price I am willing to pay for not able to see those attacks.
