The WORST. The most abusive, the least educated, lowest earning power...... I tell black women if they marry a black man it will be hard for them to move out of the poverty tax bracket. Sociological studies prove this.

I didn’t have any evidence, just his admission to it. We broke up shortly after (for obvious reasons) and I ghosted so I don’t even know if he’s alive tbh. Looking back, I was young and terrified and just wanted to run away from him. I wish I had reported him.

Yup, my first serious relationship. He got hard every time I would cry. He also wanted to do anal all the time and was into extremely violent porn. He also confessed to watching child porn.

I just got another raise from the company I work for. I also deliver food on the side. My level up plan for this month and beyond is to save enough money to buy property. I want to get into real estate and make more money.

Yeah, she was heavily sexualized even in the baggy clothes. It’s a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” situation.

I’m personally upset that she’s choosing the common industry route. I’m sick of women in the industry thinking it’s empowering to be half naked or look sexually appealing to men, when they aren’t even the people for whom they make music. Idk I just feel disappointed in Billie. But I’d love to discuss with the queens in here.

They lose their shit at the drop of a dime. I’m starting to realize that a lot of the shit men say about women is just projection. Like how they always say we will die old, alone and miserable but actual studies prove that to be completely false... it’s best not to believe what they say.

Literally nowhere in the lyrics did it read that she pressured someone to have sex while intoxicated. I’ve been in a scenario where I’m drinking, with a guy, who is also drinking... we both consent to sex and he can’t get it up cause he has erectile dysfunction and blames it on the alcohol. Which is what I got from the lyrics. Again. This ain’t it. The song doesn’t allude to rape anywhere.

Wtf was that girl even saying? How is that lyric alluding to assault? You ever hooked up with a porn sick dude (read: man) that can’t keep his dick up and blames alcohol? I’m sure plenty of us have been in that situation. This wasn’t it sis.

Yes!! Being honest with yourself is such an important part of evolving as a person. And it is hard to admit when you’re a part of the problem but, the truth sets you free. Being a pickme IS evil, I love that you said that. That’s why I said they’re like men that they don’t care. A lot of the shit that men do is evil and we know it’s evil because we know they lack empathy. Studies literally backs this up. Pickmes are just the same and even more sinister because they know, first hand, the hurt and…

Yeah at some point we need to take responsibility for knowing and CHOOSING to be a pickme. And you’re soo right on there being benefits to being a pickme. Abusers keep abusing because there are benefits to being an abuser Pickmes stay pickmes because there’s benefits to that too. I reveled on the fact that I was considered “exotic” in the black community because I’m Afro Latina. I knew I was fetishized but the benefits (free meals, money, clothes, free weed, dates...) outweighed the humiliation …

My ex best friend said she doesn’t care if her husband cheats because it’s in their biology and all men do it, so it was no use for her to be upset if her husband cheats. Pickmes choose deceit over truth.

This is what I also battle the most as a recovering pickme. I’ve harmed enough women and have had the same done to me. My NVEX’s side piece laughed at me when I confronted her. I was crushed because I saw myself in her, laughing at another woman’s misery to prove she’s the best thing since sliced bread to a man that strangled me, got me pregnant 3 months after my first abortion and couldn’t even bother to extend emotional support to me cause he’s “too tired from work for all that dramatic shit”.…

It’s sad to witness your bestie get consumed by male validation, I hope she finds her way back to herself soon. It’s hard being besties when they’re being pickmes but they really appreciate having you by their side when the fog clears. Ugh I know. That docuseries and the documentary on Larry Nassar...... ugh..... broke me completely. It infuriated me how a grown woman, with kids, enabled Nassar and dismissed those girls for decades. Pickmes. Are. Dangerous.

Agreed, my hope is they find their way back to themselves like many of us here have. Now that I’m aware or have awoken, I feel for women stuck in the programming, but it’s not my job to save them if they don’t want to be saved. Especially if they are willing to put men above me. If they want to be saved, they will and I’ll gladly support them. It’s what true sisterhood is.

I agree that there are a lot of pickmes that don’t know how they’re hurting themselves and other women. But I also know one way or another, a pickme is made aware of what their doing or who they’re entertaining, whether it’s an intuition or someone actually said “he’s a piece of shit” or “he has a girlfriend”. A pick me knows, but will still do what she wants for the sake of validation. Yes, we are human and all victims of patriarchy, which created the pickme mentality. But we aren’t always unaw…

I had to make this post after watching the first three episodes of The Vow on HBO Max. It’s about Nxivm, the sex cult led by Keith Raniere with his perfect pickme confidant, Allison Mack. That woman is the textbook definition of pickme, next in line to heir the throne of Gishlaine Maxwell. It’s alleged that she came up with the idea of branding the women who joined the cult. She would even go as far as declaring her love for Raniere, calling him her “master”. Truly horrific.

To be honest, Sandra Bland should have yielded this outcry. That woman was putting her people on game on her YouTube channel, warning black peoples about white supremacy and police brutality specifically. That woman was sought out and MURDERED by police (allegedly, but this is truly what I believe happened). But very few people came out, cities remained intact. The lives of black women don’t mean shit to black people and most of society anyways.

It’s not anti black to recognize that black culture is filled with low value morals and beliefs that benefit men and directly harm women. Those dangerous messages our community pushes directly and negatively affect black women and girls. Again, whose side are you on? Omg girl, just like non Asian women commented on the murder of Asian sex workers, non black women can comment on the mistreatment of black women from black men. It’s a sign of solidarity. An “I see your struggle, you’re not crazy” type of thing. Let other races of women be our allies. Idk if you’re FDS, seems like you’re a race loyal woman that puts race before gender. Those women need to die off too. Sorry if that’s harsh but women that procreate with scrotes for the sake of their own validation are no sister of mine and should go extinct with these men. The ones that refuse to be rescued, at least.

This is a safe space for all women, regardless of race, to speak up about how we feel. If this non black woman recognizes the crap black men put us through, how is it problematic? Non black women that speak up in defense of black women and the neglect we receive from black men, are allies. Don’t be divisive on this platform, please.

That’s very interesting! Unfortunately not surprising. I have always wondered if other races of women dealt with same level of misogyny from their men as black women do. Of course we know 90% of men are LV regardless of race, but when you scope it to specific races, we can see how our cultures enable men to thrive in their misogyny. My community is also with other women at this point. I go out of my way to limit my interactions with men.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/04/21 05:54 AM
32

I’m sorry but being black contributes very much to the men in our community to be LV. Black culture thrives off of enabling these behavior in men. Watch black movies, listen to explicit rap.... that LV shit is all over the community to the point where if we talk about white oppression it will not be a productive conversation. The white man is not to blame for our men being LV.

My post states black women should divest from black men because they are a threat to the safety of black women. I’m sorry I specified the race but not sorry for telling my sisters they need to leave black men in the dust. I mean have you seen the stats regarding black male-female relationships? Black men are problematic and the black community enables their shit, especially the women that want to be picked by them. Sorry, not sorry. Black men view pain and sacrifice as love when it comes from a woman. If they are asked to sacrifice and feel pain to get love as a reward, they’d drop you like a hot potato and would not hesitate to call you a bitch in the midst of it. They are the biggest hypocrites. Weakest links.

I have finally decided to divest after years of wasting my time with black men because I believed in that “black love” bullshit. The black community is a war zone for black children and it’s all because of naker scrotes and their enabling mammy mules.

I think it’s important to care more about how your body functions than how it looks. When I became an aerialist, I had new found love for my body because i realized that it functions how it needs to, it will adapt to anything. My body was meant to protect my soul. Going to the gym also helps with focusing on the function rather than the look.

I’d also say Mindful Attraction is pretty good. Don’t get me wrong, he’s a scrote. But he calls out all the LV behavior and teaches women to have more respect for ourselves. His channel is an “eat the meat, leave the bones” type of thing.

Ended a 10 year friendship because of this. She would publicly announce how bad I was down (I didn’t have a job or a phone) in front of men. It was weird and desperate. The non black women that feel good about black men worshiping them at the expense of our reputation and self esteem are sus to begin with. Giving very much anti black woman vibes. Exactly, black men are the greatest examples of LVM/NVM. They are the weakest links within the community and outside of the community. I should make a mega post on why black men should be the last resort when sifting through our options.

Every day I am more and more grateful for my abortions. Grateful I was able to access them legally, safely, and affordably. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made in my entire life but I know it was and will always be the best decision I ever made in my entire life. Those moments made me realize how much I love myself and what I’m willing to sacrifice to see my dreams come to fruition. This is why I’m leaving black men in the dust where they generated from. They inflict so much psychological damage onto black women. Other races of women think they hit the jackpot when they find a black man drooling over her, but little do they know, they get the same ni**as we get.

Compulsory heterosexuality is something that hits hard for me. I remember being a child and my father telling me that the worst thing I could ever do is be a lesbian, that if I ever told him that I liked women, I’d be disowned. I remember having feelings for women as opposed to males from a VERY young age, so when my father told me this, I was scared, shocked and didn’t want him to disown me, so I felt I “trained” myself to like males.
