It depends. I can rack up plates pretty fast but I think the quality of plates matter more. If you have zero plates, then put more time into approaching. If you have plates on plates, then spend less time approaching and more time in the gym/hobbies/etc.

Change the things you can and never dwell on your appearance too much. Do: lift, wear clothes that fit, have good hygiene and wear cologne, get a good hairstyle, keep teeth clean. These are a must.

Might not help but I read scary books with my girlfriend and it's great because it keeps the mood care-free and fun. For self-improvement, the book "Stranger in a Strange Land" by Heinlein is good because it makes you appreciate commitment.

Watch informational videos and practice on an object (not kidding). Not sure how bad you are but just tell her you want to try out new kissing techniques and play around with it and have fun.

Good mindset. Here is what I do. Everybody has their own style so play to your strengths. Here's my usual timeline: Approach. Get #. Wait 1 day. Drop this text: "Hey, it's Preston." Then I get her to say "yes" to smaller things and building it from there. "thoughts on drinking tea with a cute guy". SOUNDS FUN. Then, "are you free Tuesday?. YES. Then: "Let's do X on Tuesday so --->be ready." OK. "Perfect."

Show intent by hitting her with a neg/compliment. There are tons of push/pull lines to use. Start conversations more edgy than you think to reveal intent and to penetrate the resting bitch face.

Try channeling your voice thru unorthodox methods. Learning to sing: I sing bass in a 4-part harmony group. I also play guitar and write my own punk-rock songs. This inadvertently helped me speak with more brute strength because I learned to discipline my voice and be conscious. GL.

HB2 is worried. She knows if you are valuable she will get less time with HB8. Treat HB2 like she is important and she will likely have no reason to trash talk you. Lastly, get HB8 alone at all costs. That way there is no lure from the HB2 to corrupt her mind.

Been in this situation before. The best thing to do is to improve yourself (weightlifting/looks/dread game), this make it more difficult for a girl to want to confuse you. This works because if the girl values you even more, she'll make sure you don't end up in this position of confusion. It's in her best interest not to lose a high quality male. If she thinks you are not high quality enough, she will start looking for other options.
