Hypogamy is a thing. There could any number of reasons why. Even under the light of hypergamy she is making the choice that the guy she is running off to is better suited for what she wants. In some ways the branch swing down is about more control. Maybe she couldn't control you like she wanted. Maybe you weren't comforting enough.

It did happen to me a long time ago. Sometime she just want to taste a different fruit, once she is used to yours.

In a certain way it's your fault for not being entertaining enough - allowing her think about something else. But there no point feeling shit about it, it was just your turn. No magic recipe for that.

The answer to your question won't help you as much as you think. What should be the focus now is that you didn't provide enough value for her to stick around. I've been in this situation and it's rough but it gets better... way better.
