In my experience a mixed signal is really them thinking you are a fun person but not having any romantic interests. I used to get really hung up on this stuff too. Then I spent some time learning to love myself and suddenly those things never bothered me as much and my luck with women turn around. You shouldn't spend time trying to analyze their actions or trying to understand them, you should be spending your time making yourself a better person and gaining self confidence. A lot of this is eas…

You obviously know this is an irrational hang up for you. That only should be enough to tell you that you're working on getting over it.

I think you see that hate because of all the links to TRP.

Can you make me explain why you sound like some extremist nut that's separated from the shared existence of reality? No, you can't. That's because I'm a natural alpha and you have to use feeble and ineffective methods like TRP to emulate me.

Well, you can't reason someone out of a position they didn't reason themselves into. Just keep being intimidated by women, some day it might get you laid!!

Ok, whatever you say. We will just totally change what you've been saying this entire time and how TRP defines itself.

What is with TRPers being unable or unwilling to debate a presented argument?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/15 12:07 AM

I see as a neutral person you're dedicated to defending TRP. Yeah, you're not dishonest in your debating.

They claim it works. The rest of the world claims it doesn't work. Who do you think is right? Women on the receiving end or the guys emotionally invested in it working?

You keep saying "if they think it works why try and stop them" I did this trick called "paraphrasing" You apparently can't be honest and you apparently don't understand the point of PPD.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/15 02:02 PM

When you make up someone's position, that is dishonest. When you do dishonest things, that makes you a dishonest person. Sorry, but that's how it works. Did you notice that when I went "your argument is" I actually repeated what you've posted instead of making shit up? Of course not, that'd be being honest, and we know you're not honest.

What is there to attack? You're argument is "why don't you let idiots act like idiots?" I am not forcing them to do anything; they voluntarily come to this subreddit to debate. If they want to make a positive statement that TRP works, then they need to provide evidence. My first hand experience is that the behaviors and thinking TRP suggest is toxic, and does not build any sort of personal connection. This entire time all you've done is go "you think this" or "this is how you feel" instead of pr…

You're so wildly off topic it isn't funny. Why don't you go back to making up what I think?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/15 01:53 AM

Honestly, just admit you're a trper. No one who is neutral would spend this much time defending nonsense.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/15 01:23 AM

Because there is no psychological study on human sex drives that insist you ignore the way emotions work. Of course TRP says TRP works. Like any cult, they have all the answers. What makes you think I haven't tried it? Oh right, because your argument has consistently relied on making shit up
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/15 12:37 AM

That's because you're entire premise is "what if a model that is objectively false works?" It is idiotic at best.

but you can't really argue that they shouldn't use the model(if they believe it is right). I can and do argue that. If my goal is to lose weight, and I use a model of shoving ice cream into my face 24/7, would you argue that I shouldn't use that model despite me thinking it is the right model? Of course you would. And you would be right in calling me a moron for following that model. I don't know how that can be fixed on a large scale. Individuals will run into situations and see that everything…

(That happens when you explain yourself instead of saying the word incoherent for the 100th time.) Or maybe, this is a crazy idea, but maybe you finally decided to read my argument I've posted over and over again. But have you considered that it is helpful to that self-help group? I have considered that and I reached the conclusion that if their goal is to "maximize their sexual strategy" it would be best to work with accurate models. Eventually the will figure out it either works or it doesn't.…

It is a unclear way to defend the terminology. AWALT means APALT but really it means AWALT. Do you not see how unclear that is?

For the 50th fucking time, yes. A model that is meant to describe female behavior and is explicity stating ALL WOMEN secretly means ALL PEOPLE. It is incoherent.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 05:53 PM

You don't explain why it is incoherent to you. I have, and I just did again. Just saying the word incoherent doesn't magically make me understand what you don't understand about it. Which is why I keep explaining to you why I find it incoherent You have just responded to my request to not be attacked by an ad hominem attack with a subsequent ad hominem attack. I can't speak for the validity of female behavior, I only accept that TRP has created a model that they believe is useful when interacting with women and therefore has meaning. But once you do factor in female behavior you will see how meaningless that model is. This is probably the 100th time you have mentioned incoherent during our discussion but haven't made clear what is incoherent about it. That's straight up bullshit. I've explained countless times how AWALT really means APALT is incoheren…

I only stated that TRP is concerned with creating a model of how most women behave in order to maximize their sexual strategy with them(perhaps by becoming attractive and entering a relationship). And guess what, AWALT is not a model of how most women behave. Why the ad hominem attack? Do you not want to actually argue my point? I am arguing your point. I'm sorry you're point is incoherent nonsense to defend incoherent nonsense. Do you understand that TRP wants to better understand women in orde…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 05:07 PM
1

Wow, so we are going to double down on being incoherent on what AWALT means. A woman's sex drive is far more motivated by their emotions than by things like being physically fit or financially stable. It isn't the Wild Kingdom explanation you get from TRP (like the one your provided); interacting with women in a romantic setting will help you understand this better.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 04:47 PM

I have not attacked you or your opinion, so why are you so angry towards me? Because I'm not angry. Several times during our discussion you have scoffed at and made fun of my responses, is that how you have conversations with people? Yes, because you present convoluted bullshit to defend convoluted bullshit all to deny something is convoluted bullshit. The reason the red pill uses AWALT instead of APALT is because they are concerned with maximizing there sexual strategy with women, not all peopl…

The link below will show you that many people have trouble understanding that APALT. Clearly some people need help understanding that all people are capable of all types of behavior. See, there you go with "APALT" which is what the literal version of "AWALT" would mean. That alone shows how incoherent and meaningless the term is. And your link shows that people want to believe someone they love and trust has them in their thoughts. It has nothing to do with the "women are wonderful" effect nor d…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 03:57 PM
1

Perhaps the TRP has misunderstood the women are wonderful effect(please note that I have not aligned with any pill I am interested in understanding all positions), what does it mean? It means that generally speaking, women are attributed with more positive character traits. The Wikipedia article that always gets referenced even goes into how men tend to be seen as more aggressive and violent. It doesn't mean people think women are perfect and wonderful, just that there is a sweeping generalizati…

Perhaps you believe that no one in the world is affected by the woman are wonderful effect. Perhaps I understand what the women are wonderful effect actually means and can recognize that TRPers aren't using it properly. I do not believe it is worthless to the people who are affected by the women are wonderful effect. To those people it is very useful. Yes, attributing extreme and uncommon behaviors to all women to remind you that women are people and everyone is capable of that but only focusing…

Because you are attaching a warning that a woman is capable of extreme and uncommon behavior while at the same time recognizing that your warning is worthless. I understand it; and hence why I reject it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 02:57 PM
1

See, you go right back into the incoherent logic that gives the term meaning yet refuse to recognize it. By being so convoluted the term itself loses meaning. As in "there is no substance to the definition or application" I'll tell you what. You can make an alternate account and debate the point I didn't make with that account. I'm not going to debate with someone who refuses to be honest.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 02:34 PM
1

The point is that taking extreme behaviors that all people are capable of and then generalizing all women by those behaviors but then explaining that you're not generalizing and that you do recognize all people are capable of those actions but we just focus on women and attribute those behaviors to them and really it is a way to remind us that women are like men by only focusing on women and attributing extreme and uncommon behaviors to them is a warning so be ready but really it is just a way t…

This is exactly the type of post I expect out of TRP. Absolutely no value in the argument presented, only ignorant dismissal of dissenting views. I'm sorry you've gotten so emotionally invested into TRP that you can't be honest about it.

Is there a point here?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 12:14 PM

There's that "I'll just make up what they think" tactic again. Are you afraid that being honest won't turn out well for you?

I'm glad to see that you think changing my argument invalidates it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 12:11 PM

You do not exude sympathy. You are judgmental and cannot stand that others don't think the way you do. What is with the "I'll make up what someone else thinks" argument? Seriously? Why is it so common for TRPers to just claim what I think? Also, you pander to women. Not sure what this is supposed to mean. But let's go with it. I pander to women because what, I don't immediately attach a warning to my relationships with them?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 04:21 AM
0

That's a great question. I guess because I have a lot of sympathy for these guys and sincerely want to see them have happy lives. It is unfortunate that they're so emotionally invested in TRP that they'll pat each other on the back for nonsensical arguments.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 03:58 AM

That's a great question that I'm not really qualified to answer. You can certainly study what parts of the brain are triggered by different emotions, but to answer what the nature of emotion is becomes a hazy territory. Listen. You can pretend all you want that David Attenborough is narrating you flirting with women. I don't buy such a simple minded explanation that is devoid of what it means to be a human.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 03:17 AM

You're right. I have no evidence that emotion is involved in the human sex drive.

Can you give a specific reason for why it's different? I'm sorry you don't understand the concept of "context." If feminism is a movement for gender equality, then it should address areas where one gender is suffering disproportionately. Like domestic violence? Nah, that would make fucking sense. They use similar arguments in their opposition to feminism That's what they all boil down to. Being opposed to women who want to be treated as equals.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/15 01:31 AM

Listen, I've got better things to do with my time then rehash some bizarre argument. Whenever I hear a person online bring up "3rd wave feminism" I think they are the exact reason feminism exist. Like OP here and his idiotic argument.

I see you want to join the TRP circle jerk. Comparing women to casino games to show that AWALT has some meaning only shows how incoherent it is. Then absolutely no explanation on how the analogy works and nothing but childish insults shows how meaningless it is. But merely whether it worked. and this right here is why I know yo…

Yeah, you guys all sound the same after getting barraged all day with nonsense. Anyway; by the time a TRPer explains what AWALT means and how it is used they've rendered the term meaningless. Just go through this thread and you'll see the Olympic level mental gymnastics all over the place. You'll also see total nonsense about casino games.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 09:40 PM

I'm sorry you're ideology is nonsensical to regular people. You should just keep blaming them for the failure to make a coherent point. I just wish you could've at least addressed my point. Oh well.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 09:35 PM

Is that a royal "we" because my point is that once AWALT is explained on what it means and how it works the term itself is rendered meaningless. This thread where I get you going about it in some hyper literal way coupled with the other TRPers constant insults, nonsensical analogies, and most importantly, the explanation that renders it meaningless isn't addressing my point. Much like anything else I've seen on PPD; it is all a bunch of highly upvoted nonsense from TRP that fails at understandin…

Man, you are going to some great lengths to totally not address my point. EDIT: In fact, the way you go to such lengths to not address my point only cements my views on AWALT. Nonsense, complete and total nonsense.

Tell us how to avoid the friend zone, Recognize and accept rejection. score mad amounts of pussy, secure fidelity and loyalty in an LTR, maintain a healthy passionate sex life for decades, Show women respect and be confident in who you are. and avoid the endless stream of shit testing that characterizes most relationships, Stop over analyzing every interaction with someone and thinking a relationship is some adversarial game.

That isn't false at all. Men can be abusive and cheat on women, and those women stick around and come up with excuses as to why they stick around. Shit, even high profile men can be violent or disloyal and suffer no negative consequences.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 07:52 PM

No, I don't see the connection. One is a broad set of behaviors that are shown to be attractive and unattractive; another is an incoherent tool to remind you that women are the same as men that loses all meaning once it is properly explained.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 07:52 PM

Oh, come on!! You want to tell me what I had "pounded into my head" then I would assume you can tell me more about my life experiences. I'm sorry you can't engage in honest debate.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 07:48 PM

Now. Do you also accept that AWALT is intended as a similar construct Yes. However, AWALT requires a lot of mental gymnastics to explain how it is defined and how it is applied. Once you hear how it is defined and the way it supposed to be applied it makes no sense and loses all meaning. So while you are technically correct that it has "meaning," it doesn't have meaning in a way that makes sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 07:45 PM
0

I never had that pounded into my head and I certainly hear on American media that women should respect men. I was just wondering where you live that you have a completely different experience with childhood and media.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 07:39 PM
0

Everything is meaningless if you refuse to look for or accept its meaning. It is a really weird way to remind TRPers that women are people. It requires a lot of mental gymnastics to reach that conclusion which ultimately renders the term incoherent and meaningless.

So, desire for sex comes from something other than reproductive urges. Got it. Humans are known to have sex for the pleasure and not solely for procreation. You have mentioned more than once that AWALT will harm you and your ability to make interpersonal connections. How? Unrealistic negative view. I don't think she would cheat on me, but I know that all people are capable of cheating so if I began to see signs of cheating I would take them seriously instead of ignoring them(Women are wonderful Effect, "my girlfriend is special, she would never cheat"). if you say yes to all of these questions then you have no argument against AWALT. HAHAHAHAHA. Yeah, ok, if you say so!! I will just use some nonsensical argument to prove that my position has meaning!!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 06:53 PM

I would say it is meaningless as it doesn't prepare you to deal with upset customers in a productive manner. Much like how AWALT doesn't prepare you to make a connection with an actual woman.

I pointed out that the statements "customers are like X" and "women are like X" are fundamentally identical. The only difference is the first word of each phrase. What more support do you need to show that those statements are identical? Ah, ok. I thought you meant the generalizations. If you just deny the existence of things that don't fit your worldview you're impossible to debate. I don't believe that which can't been observed. If people are pretty similar across the board, why wouldn't women…

You seem to have issue with the W in AWALT. I think you may be caught up with the "women" aspect of the term. You, Hamuel, could literally replace AWALT with APALT(all people are like that) and it would mean the same thing. Every person has the potential to do good or bad things. Yes, I am very aware that AWALT is meaningless.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 06:35 PM

I didn't know AWALT referred to relationships. Huh, that's new.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 06:27 PM

Your link doesn't say "better than" but it does say "more positive attributes" AWALT forces you to have a negative view of women, period. It is ultimately a meaningless term because it is based on a fundamental misunderstanding of reality.

-1

Care to explain how you reached that conclusion?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 06:24 PM

You are cementing my belief it is meaningless. You need some broad generalization to not be "blindsided" by normal human behavior? What kind of person thinks all women are great and loving? It is just so meaningless and useless it isn't even funny. The entire concept which it was built around just reeks of insecurity and ignorance.

They don't need to be universally accepted, just accepted by the people in the group. So TRP expects people who don't accept their terms to accept their terms? But you makes your post CMV and you are NOT willing to have your view changed unless RP changes THEIR OWN IN GROUP DEFINITIONS, ACCEPTED BY THEIR GROUP. I am willing; they just need to present it in a way that makes sense.

Here is one of those things that I think TRP totally ignores. They want to pretend humans are like the rest of the animal kingdom; when in fact we have far more complex thoughts and emotions. There is absolutely no way you can prove this "mating strategy" in any sort of academic setting. So you might as well drop the argument altogether because you are going to get irrationally upset when I ask for substance for those claims.

Red pill theory has assigned a meaning to AWALT, which has been in this thread, told to you over and over. I'm willing and able to have my view changed. It just doesn't come with repeating the same tired arguments peppered with stupid insults.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 03:36 PM
1

No, women are capable of just about anything. Not all. Um, yes, all women are capable of just about anything. But if a statistically significant number of the women you've encountered in your lifetime act a certain way, are you in the wrong for incorporating that behaviour into your outlook? You are misusing the term statistically and asking a loaded question. Your bias, my bias, everyone's bias is incorporated into their outlook. No one is 100% objective.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 03:35 PM
4

Then why do they keep saying they don't? Why do they blame everyone else for their bad decisions? Um, what? I am not saying women don't have agency and I'm not blaming everyone else for their bad decisions. AWALT is how men teach themselves to watch out for women like you Hamuel. I'm a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 03:32 PM

I'm ready. Can you present an argument that is unique showing AWALT is meaningful?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 03:31 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 03:29 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 03:10 PM

I think AWALT is stupid because the defense of it is incoherent, the application of it is incoherent, and most importantly it is vaguely defined and depends on confirmation bias.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 03:10 PM
1

AWALT applies to behaviors and actions; all women are capable of being loving and giving partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 03:09 PM

Thank you for providing an example of how incoherent and meaningless AWALT is.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 03:08 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 03:07 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 03:07 PM

Yes, my mind is already made up; hence why I did a CMV. What evidence would you need to see in order for your view to be changed or challenged? I don't think you understand my position.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 03:05 PM

Because it isn't based on any psychology, but rather people who have their heartbroken comparing notes. It was born out of confirmation bias.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 03:05 PM

I'm glad to see you agree that was a nonsensical analogy.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:58 PM
1

That is not why I doubt AWALT. I doubt it because it is defined in a way that depends on confirmation bias instead of looking at similar variables among people. Individuality is a thing; you can't generalize half the worlds population based on a single variable and expect to be taken seriously. Well, I guess you can because you have.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:55 PM
-1

No, I still think it is meaningless because it is defined in a way to depend on a person's confirmation bias and is essentially nonsensical warning.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:53 PM
-1

Yes, but AWALT is totally meaningless because the only basis is "woman" and not "a woman with this type of upbringing" and unlike the examples you provided there is no psychological study done on AWALT.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:52 PM
-3

Ok, so instead of presented an argument that clarifies the analogy you will just double down on insults. This is pretty typical behavior among TRP. So I guess ARPALT (meaning they spout nonsense then insult you when you call them out on it.)
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:49 PM
-1

Because heuristic models are easily swayed by confirmation bias. Especially when it is used to gauge behaviors. I've seen men leave their wives for their mistress; I've seen women be loving and giving partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:48 PM
-1

You can't disprove awalt by misusing it. I'm not misusing it. All women are capable of X, it varies, but be ready for X I could make a thread on the chess sub and say that a Spanish opening is useless because it doesn't work when I started wrong. The Spanish opening isn't a vaguely defined term.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:42 PM
1

Perhaps the statistical models used to gauge which behaviors a woman will exhibit based upon the amount of sexual partners they've had?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:40 PM
-1

Yes, it is entirely meaningless. All women are capable of just about anything, the degree of their capabilities varies among individual women; therefore AWALT!!
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:36 PM
-1

AWALT is predicated on probability No it isn't, it is predicated on confirmation bias. The things that we suggest all women do are things we estimate Key word being "estimate" - as in - we are guessing. he exact amount varies for any given quality Just like my examples; the exact amount varies for any given quality so therefore AWALT I will assume all women are divorce lawyers that are also ninja assassins.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:34 PM
0

There is a symbol at the end of my post you are referring to known as a "question mark." What a "question mark" denotes is that a person is asking a question and not making a statement. He quoted my example of AWALT being all women are capable of being loving and giving partners. So I asked if that applied in his warning.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:23 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:22 PM

Um, I am not talking about "statistical house odds of each table game" but rather "interpersonal relationships" It is a terrible analogy because it depends on women being inanimate objects and not living breathing people with sentience.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:16 PM

Ok, so you reiterated why I think AWALT is meaningless. It is a "warning" that depends heavily on confirmation bias (unlike state department bulletins.)

Previous comment? I'm not sure what you are referring to here.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:13 PM

Why don't you agree with that? It is a heuristic model, I see it everyone and experience it myself. AWALT my friend.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:10 PM
0

Well, I got some nonsensical analogy comparing women to casino games that didn't address my position at all. When I tried to be polite about how it didn't make sense you just called me stupid instead of actually explaining the point being made. It is ok; this is ARPALT in action.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:09 PM
1

When you forget that and start treating them like and expecting the behavior of a guy (honestly, loyalty, fair play) that's when you shoot yourself in the foot. You must not spend much time around men or women if you think women don't display those behaviors and that AMALT on those behaviors. All women are capable of being honest and loyal, therefore AWALT.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:08 PM
2

Can you say what "personal value judgements" you don't agree with? That women are capable of being loving and giving partners? Sorry, but they are, so there forth AWALT.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:07 PM
-1

Those rules seem just as meaningless as AWALT.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:06 PM
2

Ok, like I pointed out in my post, it is a guide that says "all women are capable of X so be ready for X." All women are capable of being straight forward, loving, and giving partners. So be ready for that?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 02:00 PM

I love how RPers change what someone says to fit their narrative.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 01:54 PM

Because maybe I want to be a real alpha that is looking to spin plates and use mind games in my relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 01:53 PM
-2

If it helps them look for red flags that stop them from getting into a relationship with a shitty person, its not meaningless. But again, because it is so easily done with confirmation bias all women will display those red flags. So AWALT not only leads to being lonely, it is useless as a way to gauge for red flags.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 01:52 PM
-3

Ok, I honestly have no idea what you are talking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 01:48 PM
-4

A lot of RPs use it as a heuristic I think that lends itself easily to a person's confirmation bias. You want to think all women can do X thing, so then you start to see X thing everywhere. Hence why it is totally meaningless.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 01:47 PM
0

So be ready for women to be loving and giving partners seeking LTRs?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/15 01:46 PM

Show me. Link to someone from TRP arguing a point that directly contradicts the sidebar. I have. No idea what you're getting at here. That reading more about how TRP views women won't change the way a woman thinks and operates. Aka, it is total bullshit. What would reading the side bar do besides cement her thoughts further that RPers don't interact with women? It is a weak defense for an incoherent ideology. You've yet to link to the sidebar a single time or mention any specific sidebar article…

TRP has a clear analog -- the sidebar. Ask anyone on TRP where to learn about TRP and that's the first place they'll point you. yet when it comes to a debate format they will quickly back away from the side bar. Proof of what? What are you referring to here? You're statement that people ignore TRP when debating it. If it is truth then she should naturally be the way TRP describes women. There is a wide variance of opinions in, say, the Democratic Party. Would you describe their views as "incoherent"? I can be a Democrat and support raising the minimum wage to $15, but I can find plenty of other Democrats who would disagree with that. Does that mean the Democratic Party is "designed to avoid critical analysis"? They've an official party platform. TRP has no analog. All too often thay's exactly what it means with TBP. You're ignoring that there's a set of articles and posts -- the sidebar -- that everyone recognizes as TRP. No, I am not. I am pointing out (like you did after that sentence) that TRP as a community is incoherent on what to believe and follow. And it really seems like here on PPD it depends on what point they are making on whether or not they follow a specific part of the side bar. That's not dismissing a common idea, that's saying the other person isn't explaining that idea well. And then follows that up with absolutely no clarification and refusal to clarify. This is a disagreement over how an idea is applied, not over whether the idea is valid or not. You aren't reading correctly. I am saying the dynamic of "alpha/beta" is complete bullshit. There is no acting alpha and there is no acting beta because the entire concept is false. There is a reason you are using a model that rejects objective evidence; because it is easier to hold a inherently false idea when you protect it from the rigors of reality.

You are saying there is the category Red Pill and then everyone else on the planet is categorized as Blue Pill. Which would mean Blue Pill isn't an ideology as not everyone else on the planet follows the same ideas. You should've just said "No, I can't provide a well defined version of TRP for a debate subreddit." Especially since TheChemist's view was straight forwardly stupid. I've heard plenty of other RPers repeat what you are saying is a straw man and stupid. That's why I asked you, an endorsed contributor who's views reflect the established theory. I'm endorsed because my views reflect the established theory in a way that I can be trusted to represent it. Can we get a unified version of TRP that can be referred to here on PPD? There's only silence is you aren't listening. If you were listening you'd hear a lot of talk about the damage of gender roles; and this is a prime example of the damage they are talking about.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/15 06:41 PM

If feminism is a movement for gender equality, then the gendered aspects of violent crime (where many types of violent crime target one gender more than the other) should be well within the scope of feminism. I'd say violent crime that is overwhelming one gender attacking another is more within the scope of feminism. What makes you think that? These issues are not very well known at all, but they're doing what they can to raise awareness. By what? Posting on TRP?

Just because a man is stronger than a woman doesn't imply that he's more aggressive than the woman when uninhibited. I didn't say that since men, on average, are stronger in women that makes them more aggressive. What i did say is that on average men are stronger and more aggressive I'm not arguing the veracity of the original statement, that's irrelevant, I'm arguing that the feminist theory of 'gender as social construct' runs contrary to sexual dimorphism. Then you're failing to grasp the arg…

Ex 1: University grads. Ex 2: Wage gap: I think addressing the wage gap at 77 cents on the dollar will result in more male graduates in fields like nursing and teaching. So in essences feminism is addressing those problems. Just not on a way the explicitly states white middle class males need our help. Ex 3: Violent crime victimizations: Mainstream media and feminism are not the same thing. Why shouldn't feminist go after sexual assault? Violent crime on a whole is outside the scope of feminism.…

Yes. And the "parts" bit is a huge part of rape laws. Like how on average, men are stronger than women.

Well now they are, and they have been for the last 50 years. there are women alive today who were t allowed to go to college. Just think about that for awhile.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/15 03:52 PM
2

Does that take into account other charges and prior record? Say you're some violent rapist that broke into someone's house in the past, got caught, and then when out you go and commit the crime again. Among your charges is breaking and entering. Then a woman breaks into someone's home to steal a TV and has never done that before. You might see a radical difference between the sentencing there that has more going on than just gender.

"Yes Means Yes" requires men to obtain vocal, orated consent to sex, otherwise it is not consent and therefore rape. The corollary to that idea is that, despite all of the assertions to the contrary, women actually are not more in tune to different forms of communication as men are. As we all know, most sexual communication of desire is non-verbal and not overt. YMY asserts that women cannot understand or communicate non-verbally. "Yes means Yes" laws aren't designed around the idea women can no…

Ok. I don't agree that women are constantly engaged in psychological games you call "shit test." I don't think treating a woman like she doesn't matter is going to attract them. I think personalities are way more complex than "alpha/beta." I don't think "only a few of the best looking guys get laid." I don't think women judge men between "fuck material" and "husband/beta material." I don't see a single one of these things present in my everyday life. In my everyday life I interact with a variety…

For example, dread game, shit tests, the alpha/beta dynamic (how only a few of the best looking guys get laid, how women see some guys as "fuck material" and some as "husband/beta material). I don't think those things are true and hence why they aren't spread throughout society.

A complex question like "can you back up your claim?" Please, I know why you won't answer and it is because you can't.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/15 09:01 PM

Yeah, that's where you are showing your real or affected ignorance. Yep, I'm super duper ignorant. Thank you for pointing that out again. Real leaders don't waste time with people who have no interest in nor intention of following them. It is too bad that you are more interested in avoiding a debate and avoid providing substance for a claim. Seems to be pretty common among TRP members.

I've spent 50 decades studying leadership!! I learned that to be a great leader you need to be super insulting and have some bizarre world view that isn't reflected anywhere but on web forums that attract angry losers. And I'm not going to be the one to educate you, especially since you've shown no interest in anything but pushing your own biased first premise. Yeah, that's the ticket. When someone ask questions, instead of answering them a real leader insults the person and then makes up their …

Yet you absolutely refuse to explain your logic behind the conclusion. That sounds super duper believable. As a matter of fact, I arrived at most of the RP "truth" long before there was the manosphere or a subreddit devoted to it. I sincerely believe this to be true. It is why I think TRP is less about "sexual strategy" and "self-improvement" and more about "confirm my bias" And knowledge like Carnegie's was instrumental in my changing my paradigm regarding sexual dynamics. Yeah, someone on TRP once told you that Dale Carnegie and TRP are basically the same and you just believed them. And since I am highly skeptical and understand both and don't see a connection at all, I am an idiot. I'll just take my diploma from the Dale Carnegie course and throw it away because I should really be following TRP because they are the same thing despite having next to no similarities.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/15 08:09 PM
1

Non-sequitor? I'm just wondering if you ever heard of the term "human nature" and actually understand what sexual dimorphism is. AWALT is so far from sexual dimorphism it isn't even funny. Now this is where you tell me I am wrong and TRP is right. I'm pouting? Interesting... Well, considering that you can't explain the similarities beyond "they are both about being a leader" and then ranting about how stupid and wrong I am and how women love you; it certainly comes across as pouting.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/15 07:57 PM
1

Yet many non-RPers acknowledge sexual dimorphism. You're argument isn't just with RP on this. Displaying that ability to """"understand"""" again. They do. I'm the guy who "gets them." They love that they get to freely be who they are around me and know that I can handle it. Yep, that's super believable. I'm glad that instead of explaining the similarities beyond the extreme surface you decided to tell me I'm wrong and pout.

Someone who has proved time and time again that you are at best ignorant of what RP actually teaches, and at worst disingenuous in representing what you might know. Being "alpha" is being a leader. Carnegie's ideas are about how to make someone a leader. Seems that those two things are perfectly compatible. Yet they go about doing so in completely different ways. Two people can have the same goal and yet come up with different paths to that goal. TRP is a radically different path to Dale Carnegie. Which of the following women is most likely to feel important to their partner? Those two examples aren't the only options when it comes to personal relationships…

I don't think it is either. I have an extreme amount of doubt on if it works as a "sexual strategy" and I absolutely know for a fact it isn't self improvement. To me it seems like a place to go when you are lamenting being the "nice guy" who gets "friendzoned" and nothing else.

Well, i've got a plethora of RPers telling me AWALT is a tool to be used to promote self-improvement. And I've got you agreeing with me that it doesn't promote self-improvement. Dale Carnegie was all about leadership. TRP/RP is all about what it takes to be "alpha" (aka, a leader). You think there might be a connection? and they have completely different views on leadership. In fact, instead of writing out all my thoughts, I just quickly found an article from one of my admittedly less favorite manosphere sites that, much like you, just claims they're connected without showing the connection. What is RP about Dale Carnegie?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/15 01:06 AM

Dale Carnegie runs counter to what TRP teaches are attractive qualities. Complementing and listening? That doesn't sound like TRP's alpha. You should really read that book and then explain what's "proto-red pill" Because that sounds like the TRP habit of altering something to fit the narrative.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/15 12:39 AM
1

I don't respect a single person who acts like TRP teaches and I don't know anyone else who does. I guarantee you the Dale Carnegie course does more to teach how to be higher value than a million fake field reports.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 11:30 PM

So you don't go back to TRP "philosophy" to become a "higher value man"? Congratulations. There is hope for you yet.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 11:14 PM
1

Ok; so no one has been able to explain this. A woman leaves you because she doesn't think you're high enough value. So you chant "all women are like that" and then what? You double down on the same things you were doing when she left you?! I honestly can't grasp the logic behind this working and therefore don't think it works for self-improvement but rather as a mechanism to shift TRP failing on the woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 11:03 PM
1

No, it is exactly a fallacy of division because you're attempting to take one concept out of the entirety of TRP, and saying that it to needs to be about self-improvement because the whole thing is. Here is a link to AWALT being used as a tool for self improvement. You should correct him and explain it isn't used for self improvement.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 10:43 PM

That's what TRP says. What happens is another story altogether.

Funny thing about reddit: it keeps your history. You made two statements. The first of which was: Ok, I see myself making the same statement twice, you disagreeing once and then agreeing followed by doubling down. You've expertly displayed the back fire effect. Thank you.

Your evidence ............ .......... ....... crickets ...... .... You literally just says it does not promote personal growth... No, it is exactly a fallacy of division because you're attempting to take one concept out of the entirety of TRP, and saying that it to needs to be about self-improvement because the whole thing is. Why do TRPers always talk about AWALT as an application to refocus on "self-improvement" when by your own admittance doesn't promote self-improvement?

Two statements that are seperate responses to seperate statements you made, and now you're trying to create a false narrative around them to the person that actually made them. This was a tactic that made sense at the time? I made the statement that TRP exhibits the backfire effect when discussing AWALT and how it is counter productive to personal growth. The backfire effect only applies if I believe that the literal words in the acronym are universally applicable. That's not true at all. There's that excuse to justify a poorly thought out concept. AWALT is defined in a way that rely on confirmation bias, it is applied in a way to dismiss personal shortcomings, and ultimately is a failed concept that will never lead to meaningful personal change nor a fulfilling personal connection.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 08:37 PM

I think this excuse is just a great example of how poorly thought out RP "philosophy" is. There is always an excuse for RP; and instead of altering what you say to be more correct, you double down on being wrong. I guess that's the Backfire Effect in action.

you can make many women with your dick happy. That is so fucking creepy I don't even know where to start. There are women out there looking for a one-night stand. But statement like that gives me the impression you are a terrible lay. But it's a start, once you get that scarcity out of your system and replace it with abundance you can be happy. /r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 04:39 PM

I still fail to see how reinforcing negative characteristics is improvement. Working out for the positive mental side effects is a positive characteristic. Working out so you can "answer" hypergamy is a negative characteristic. You could be the strongest person on Earth, but if you have this negative view (I know, you don't want to admit AWALT is a negative view) you aren't improving yourself. I think you brought up lifting because outside of the TRP view, exercise is a positive thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 04:29 PM

I don't believe field reports. Like I did with my peanut butter and honey analogy, I can say whatever I want on Reddit. What strategies do people like me instinctively use?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 03:59 PM

What "strategies" do I instinctively apply? That to me sounds like an excuse for why in the real world you don't see TRP working.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 02:51 PM

How do you think latching on to shallow characteristics is improvement of your self? Why are we talking about lifting? I still fail to see how lifting ties into AWALT; while other aspects of TRP (dread game, negging, etc) tie way more heavily into AWALT and reinforce negative characteristics.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 02:41 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 01:42 PM

I know it doesn't work, because you can't show it working.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 01:23 PM

And, if instead of making up my position you listened you'd know I think that's the only reason TRP says to lift. It is all about doubling down on what TRP thinks women find attractive and nothing to do with self improvement.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 01:05 PM
1

You can prove archery technic works. You can't prove TRP technic works. I think the reason TRP is unprovable is because it doesn't work and that's why success stories only come from anonymous people on the Internet
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 12:20 PM

So you didn't ask if TRP lifts to attracts girls? What's the real reason TRP says to lifts?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 12:07 PM

You already said why you lift. Is that the only TRP tactic? I claimed nothing about lifting. I'm talking about this caricature of an "alpha male" TRP preaches. Ok, so you've gone from insults to making up my position.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/15 11:51 AM

How can you prove it works?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/15 11:51 PM

Burden of proof is on me to prove two unrelated things? I don't know why you're talking about lifting nor how that ties to AWALT. If you can explain your "logic" here is gladly continue. I'm just glad you've moved away from insults and now into pointless questions.

Because there are proven positive psychological side effects from exercise. How does that tie into AWALT?

How does that tie into the AWALT view?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/15 10:03 PM

AWALT by definition is designed to double-down on TRP teachings; which do not improve you but make you cynical and ok with manipulating women so they have sex with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/15 09:52 PM
1

I did; you called me an idiot for that thread too. The mass of evidence brought to you until now couldn't change your mind. Literally no evidence has been brought. As you say AWALT is heuristic, so you can not bring evidence by your own definition.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/15 09:42 PM
2

I don't think it works, at least not in a way that makes someone happy and self-confident. It might get you laid a couple times, but there will be no self-improvement. So if the purpose of TRP is self-improvement why take up positions and ideas that work counter to the stated goal?

Exactly. AWALT is defined in a way to protect it from criticism. Those behaviors aren't inherent in women and is rather a terrible understanding of human emotions. There's zero way to discuss AWALT in a peer reviewed manner by definition. Much like the "mothers intuition" argument over vaccinations. /r/PurplePillDebate17/08/15 05:42 PM

That's not my argument; for the record my argument is "AWALT has no objective grounding and is used to shift blame and avoid self-improvement."
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/15 05:31 PM

You're right it isn't a scientific statement; it is a statement of emotion. There's no way to prove it and it is used to shift blame off the man for failing in a relationship onto a woman. It works counter to the idea of 'self-improvement'

Basically you are saying "the concepts of AWALT can not be objectively proven but it is true." This to me comes across as the same logic used when discussing religion, you have faith that it is there you can't prove it but trust me I see it everywhere. where do you get this bullshit from? From TRP. How do you know I'm a loser? Because I call out feminist bullshit when I see it? TRP doesn't attract winners. tell me what's biased about them. seriously. they start with the conclusion and for facts to that conclusion. No, brainwashed because you reply with insults rather than arguments. must be why all the TRP replies are insults and not arguments. Can't you see how ridiculous it is that you cannot defend your position and instead can only think t…

Do you have any links to any studies? The internet is rife with counterexamples to your assertion. yeah. If I listen to angry losers who share rape tips modern feminism is terrible. What a silly question. Why not enroll in a women's studies course and learn for yourself instead of listening to angry lonely men? it shows I have the capacity to think rationally. I don't see it. I see another angry loser keeping his head in an echo chamber. I was citing examples that discredit the assertions you we…

I know you're being sarcastic but look at how illogical the defense of TRP is. You can't objectively prove a single aspect of it, so ultimately it comes down to misrepresenting opposing views or attacking the character of someone voicing dissent. I think the field reports are almost entirely made up. I don't believe for one second a single aspect of TRP works. If you have trouble making a connection try using some Dale Carnegie instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/15 02:22 PM

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. In fact, super alpha horses refuse to drink when brought to water. I'm glad you think a collection of broken links proves TRP.

Ok, you don't see the irony in someone attacking my character by telling me to learn the definition of ad hominem after I told them their only defense is ad hominem? It is true what they say about RPers. They completely lack self awareness. I'm trying to talk academic psychology. You're ranting about how I need to be educated and that I'm obviously young. Come back when you're ready for an honest debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 09:48 PM
1

The way TRP says women survive is not based on facts but on confirmation bias. The way AWALT is used is to shift the blame of failure for the RPer to a woman. RPers depend more on insults and emotions over logic in a debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 09:43 PM
1

See, insults. That's a logical fallacy known as "ad hominem"
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 09:34 PM

Ah yes; the 2 months I've been married proves that the field of psychology is all bullshit and I should listen to an internet forum full of lonely men who can't make personal connections.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 07:04 PM
1

Wait, did you just refer to peer reviewed studies as emotions?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 07:02 PM

32 and 2 months (after dating for 3 years). What does this prove? That your emotions about TRP are more valuable than peer reviewed studies?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 07:00 PM
1

Some women are attracted to status. But again, I am placing value on peer reviewed studies and not an internet forum where everyone agrees with each other (echo chamber much?!) You should use that feels before reals line again while using feels before reals
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 06:59 PM
1

That's all TRP is though; bold claims based on personal experience. Personal experience is heavily bogged down with emotions. If you put more stock in what your emotions tell you then you shouldn't be condescending with the reals before feels bullshit.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 06:58 PM

BP types are what, people who think mind games aren't healthy?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 06:56 PM

The chemical reactions in the brain are biology; the behaviors and thoughts that occur from those chemical reactions is psychology. TRP also has a wealth of scientific studies behind it No it doesn't. Literally no scientific studies back up things like AWALT or "alpha qualities" You've got an OkCupid blog post, and made up field reports.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 06:05 PM
1

Hoo hoo hoo, this is rich. I had no problem reading your statement that the rest of reality and the adult world is RP leaning. That's because you want to believe that so you only notice what confirms your beliefs. As in, the dictionary definition of confirmation bias. This is almost as good as the RPer linking to TRP as proof of peer reviewed psychology and then confusing it with biology.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 06:01 PM
-1

There is a difference between psychology and biology. I'd suggest you learn those differences, then publish TRP in the APA.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 05:58 PM

Yeah, I was in greek life at my university. There we go; confirmation bias confirmed.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 05:55 PM

Um, you do know that TRP is not a peer reviewed journal. You should publish your findings on the APA. That'd be the most ultra-alpha thing ever.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 05:55 PM

You'd be wrong again. You should keep digging a hole, maybe I should post this on r/iamverysmart
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 05:54 PM

I highly doubt you'll have a successful LTR from TRP. I also doubt it works great at getting a one night stand either.

1

"Dealing with" means what exactly? Having a meaningful relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 05:50 PM
-1

Yet those "survival instincts" are not reflected in any sort of peer reviewed manner. They exist solely in the realm of TRP; so to me, when you start from a factually wrong basis you aren't going to be improving yourself but rather justifying why it is ok to push your short-comings off on the women who leave you. So really, even your how still sounds the same; it is an excuse to avoid self-reflection by blaming women.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 05:49 PM
1

I went to a University that would be known as "liberal" yet there were plenty of ultra-right wing groups on campus. And it gets even worse once you get into Greek Culture at a university. I digress. You should really recognize your confirmation bias. Most people in the real world you'd classify as "blue pill."

/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 05:29 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 05:18 PM

How?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 05:15 PM
1

They also get ultra-right wing fringe groups.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 05:15 PM
1

College campus is not a demographic. And even still; it is clear you have confirmation bias.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 05:03 PM
1

I'm not sure what that is supposed to mean. I should ignore peer reviewed journals on behaviors in favor of internet forums? That doesn't seem very logical.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 04:33 PM
1

Occasionally, whenever it comes up. More people approach me with RP sounding beliefs than the other way around. BP types seem to be a small minority found on college campuses. They seem to skew younger. I don't see any demographics in that post. So I am still not sure what you are trying to say other than "I need to make up stuff about BP to maintain frame and be alpha."
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 04:32 PM

you'll find as you become more experienced with life I didn't know you knew me so well. Actually, you don't know me at all. As you become more experienced with life you'll learn how closed off you become with your view.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 04:29 PM

Then you would agree with me that this view of "Women are only attracted to the top 20% of men" is not very well thought out and is far from accurate?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 04:28 PM
1

You never explained how proclaiming "ALL WOMEN ARE LIKE THAT" leads to self-reflection, you just simply said it does. But hey, when in doubt throw out childish insults because that is maintaining frame and super alpha.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 04:27 PM
1

This goes back to a question I ask that turns into accusations of trolling; Should I believe peer reviewed journals that show none of this or should I believe an internet forum that insist it is true?

You must live a very lonely life.

Do you honestly think you can read my mind? I've got a lot of sympathy for people who have a hard time connecting with other people on a personal level and turn to TRP. Listening to the mental gymnastics that comes with justifying AWALT has only solidified that sympathy. I'm sorry your self-esteem is so low that instead of recognizing your own failings you need a "warning" or a "reminder" that it is women's fault they don't like to be around you. If you need someone to talk to about what is keep…

Just be ready to blame them when they leave you and do absolutely no self-reflection. That's how "self-improvement" works!!
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 03:00 PM
1

I think you mean eliminated a lot of women in your life.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 02:51 PM

Yes, a reminder and a warning about women. It doesn't do anything to recognize that the failure was yours and yours alone.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 02:51 PM
1

This is the definition I am using
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 02:44 PM
1

You're not prepared because you assume those bad things are inherent in women instead of them being the result of your actions.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 02:42 PM
1

I'm using one that was given to me in this thread from TRP.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 02:41 PM
1

What do you think of the "Women are wonderful effect"?? That it doesn't benefit a majority of women. If I told you that I had observed that women in general seem more nurturing and enjoy spending more time with children then men would you similarly be so upset?? I would be more sympathetic to you. Do you believe it's possible that women can have behaviors that you think are negative??? Yes. Women can; but I wouldn't generalize all women as the negative behaviors I view in an individual.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 02:24 PM
2

MAINTAIN FRAME!! Why is this the go-to response when an RPer can't make their "philosophy" coherent?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 02:22 PM
2

So going "AWALT" is some how recognizing that failing to be a good partner results in you getting dumped?! How does that work exactly? If I get into a car crash because I'm not paying attention should I go "ACALT" or should I consider changing my behavior?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 02:12 PM
1

I don't see these common behaviors with any of the women in my life. So should I trust in the red pill or should I just in the power of peer reviewed journals?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 02:02 PM
2

Straight from The Red Pill All women, given the right circumstances, will slut, lie, cheat, and/or leave. And what constitutes the “right circumstances” is pretty much the same for every woman: Being a loser. EDIT: It is all about chanting this after a woman leaves you for being a loser. Shift that blame.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 02:01 PM
1

Do you understand the difference between psychology and biology?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 01:59 PM
1

Oh, a new definition and application for AWALT. Please do tell!
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 01:30 PM
1

Right from your link; and therefore does not benefit the majority of women That effect is also rooted in strong gender roles; which, interestingly enough, is something feminism wants to do away with. Meanwhile, TRP fights feminism tooth and nail.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 01:17 PM
1

Perhaps; now this is crazy, perhaps AWALT isn't reflected in psychology because AWALT isn't real. Crazy, I know. But trust me, if you want to take TRP to APA and get published then you'd be quite the alpha.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 01:14 PM
2

Here is a much better source for learning about a woman's sexual desires than TRP. I suggest spending some time there.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 01:13 PM

I have.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 01:12 PM
1

What?!
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 12:43 PM
1

I'd bet dollars to donuts there were warnings.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 12:32 PM
2

There is though. Firstly, the female sex drive is way more complex than RP would have you believe. In fact RP would have you believe patent falsehoods about the female sex drive.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 12:31 PM
0

Nope, not saying that at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 12:30 PM
1

The "I'm a loser and got dumped, AWALT" was just displayed to me again by another RPer. It is an unhealthy view that works counter to self-improvement.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 12:29 PM
0

I'm on my phone getting ready for works, so here's a step by step process. Go to spa.org Use the search function to look up studies. Ignore studies and pretend TRP is based in reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 12:11 PM
1

What's unreasonable?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 12:09 PM
1

So it is AWALT because of your shortcomings. Why blame women?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 12:03 PM
0

I could show you a study that runs counter but not a study that debunks. All you need to do is read about the male and female sex drive and TRP is debunked.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 12:03 PM
0

So why use it as a basis for an overall view of women?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 11:56 AM
1

You just talked about how you failed and then went AWALT. I don't understand how that's healthy or going to help you improve yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 11:54 AM
0

I did have my view changed from AWALT is women have nefarious goals to AWALT is an excuse to avoid self reflection.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 11:54 AM
1

A philosophy the talks an awful lot about psychology. And all the psychology it uses is totally made up and runs counter to professional psychology that stands the test of peer review. AWALT is a reminder that women are human and it's preventing you from falling into the pitfall of pedestalizing women again. How does that not make sense? because at its core it is bitter and hateful.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 11:53 AM
1

AWALT because you failed as a lover. Sounds like an excuse to not change.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 11:51 AM
1

I honestly don't know what you're trying to say.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 11:49 AM
0

That's not how science works.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 11:49 AM
0

You obviously don't understand psychology. There's no basis for AWALT in psychology.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 11:48 AM
1

Why is it TRP men are too overly sensitive to having their philosophy discussed? All I did was repeat what TRP says AWALT is.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 11:47 AM
0

I'll stick with the dictionary definition. And AWALT has no basis in reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 11:46 AM
0

There is so psychological basis for AWALT. What is your minimum standard of evidence before you proclaim something real?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 04:17 AM
1

So random people walking up to you and telling you about their "sexual strategy" or "self improvement" philosophy are a demographic; and that demographic agrees with you? I think you should just stop right here.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 04:08 AM
0

That sounds like a really unhealthy way to view a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 04:02 AM
0

It just sounds like you dismissed the entire concept of AWALT. I would actually agree that AWALT is not a real thing and basically describes some humans in all genders.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 03:48 AM
2

That is so far from something that would stand the muster of peer review it isn't even funny. Surely you are going to have a better minimum standard on the data you collect when making a generalization.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 03:41 AM

Didn't you just accuse me of confirmation bias?! This has got to be satire.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 02:43 AM

Maybe for you, not for us. This is pretty subjective. It's working out for me at least so it's very real for me. I'm talking academically speaking; thinking AWALT is some descriptor for a woman's sex drive is the same as thinking vaccines cause autism. The whole purpose of AWALT is to prevent failing overall, not to push it off to someone. The victim mindsets are for feminists and fatties. This is a new application I've heard for AWALT. I just got told that it is a concept to remind you women ar…

Really, it's no different than women sitting around saying all men are pigs. But a normal woman wouldn't be a massive piece of shit to a man, and then go "AMAP" when that man leaves. There is a huge difference in the application and the context of "AWALT" to "AMAP" You are the one who claims it is about 'women's nefarious goals'. As if women sit around and scheme how to get the best of both worlds. I will admit; my views on AWALT have changed after this thread. It isn't a belief that women are p…

How often do you explain your beliefs to regular people?

Literally the only place you'll read about concepts like hypergamy or AWALT is places like TRP. No professional in a field like psychology (you know, the one that studies our sex drive) reflects what TRP teaches. Not only this, but I don't see these "obvious" characteristics in my own life. So the "AWALT" is a heuristic concept comes across as bullshit. On top of there being no academic or personal basis for even the concept of AWALT; TRP followers have various definitions and excuses for why it…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 01:27 AM

OkCupid is not a scientific journal.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/08/15 12:38 AM

Maybe not, but neither does TRP. It's a conceptual interpretation, not a dictionary definition. Actual psychology has no parallel to hypergamy either. Everyone on here is telling you otherwise, but it's obvious that you will not be dissuaded. That's not true. Look at the definitions and how it should be used. Obvious troll is obvious. No more troll treats for you. Peace out. this is such a cop out.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 11:49 PM

Couldn't the same be said of TRP?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 11:21 PM

TRP uses a slightly different definition than the traditional definition. It's more "best possible" than simply status. A lot of factors come into play when it comes to "best possible." but actual psychology doesn't use the term "best possible" . There is no "blaming women." There is accepting women, and acting accordingly. That's exactly what AWALT is. A mantra to chant after being dumped instead of self-reflection. Hyperbole much? And those two ideas are exclusive to each other how? is this a real question? Hypergamy is women look for status. Actual psychology is there is a myriad of variables that exist within certain social context. Very different concepts. No, RP does explain the differences. You may disagree with the explanation, but they do explain. sorry, forgot to put the qualifier "accurately" RP doesn't accurately explain those differences. Are you honestly disputing that human beings are animals? Nope. But the way you say it makes it sound like you put women on the same level as a dog. I tell you what, smart guy - find me a scientific community that disputes my facts. I would love to read what they have to say. Ok, how about the communities surrounding sociology, psychology, and anthropology. WTF does the social sciences have to do with biological facts regarding species reproduction? Biology explains the chemical reactions that h…

How is it a warning? If a woman dumps you for being a huge fucking loser why go "AWALT" instead of go "I need to not be a huge fucking loser"?

Examples, please? Here is an easy example: Or maybe it's the FACT that women are nothing more than animals at all that you take issue with. Why not just fuck a dog at that point. as far as I know. Which must not be much past your nose. You are ignoring an entire genre of science called social sciences. My degrees are solidly in the social sciences, and my intellectual interests lie primarily in the social sciences. Which ones?

There was one comment that sounded like a robot or an alien talking about human relationships. I had to make sure it wasn't satire.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 09:13 PM

But that is exactly how AWALT works. It isn't a literal description on all women; in fact some definitions relate to if you are too big a loser you will get dumped. So instead of going "how can I improve myself" you go "All Women Are Like That" and hand wave away your failings.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 09:12 PM

That's what I've learned from my inbox blowing up today.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 09:07 PM

When a woman leaves you, you go "AWALT" instead of going "Where did I go wrong?" TRP espouses it is about self-improvement. How can you improve when you blame others for your failings?

I'm just glad you agree that AWALT is nonsense.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 09:05 PM

I understand that; but the way you are talking it is evident you just pulled shit out of your ass and will refuse to have a rational discussion. And I take it you haven't study any social sciences which is why you sound so out of touch with human interaction and behaviors.

See; when you are trying to loose weight and you recognize consuming cookies is counter-productive, that's a good thing. When you are trying to make a connection with someone and you use a defense mechanism that shifts your personality flaws onto them, that's counter-productive to your stated goal. All you've done is convince me more that AWALT can not lead to a healthy connection.

No, it is not true.

It reads like a space alien trying to do an anthropologically study on human romantic relationships. I thought you were mocking the caricature of a TRP man.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 08:43 PM
-3

This just seems like AWALT is a defense mechanism used to shift blame onto women instead of focusing on where you need to improve. It is intrinsically defensive as you've defined, and therefore is counterproductive to the "self-improvement" theme of TRP. That means it will not allow you to have a healthy connection, because any of your short comings can and will be shifted onto the woman as her fault.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 08:42 PM

I thought TRP was supposed to be logical thinking; it really sounds like AWALT is all emotion and no logic.

After the grieving process, when he hits acceptance. Acceptance that it was his own fault the woman left; or acceptance that AWALT? Correct. That doesn't seem to come naturally from going AWALT And why do you take APALT so fucking literally? I'm not; it is an example of how illogical AWALT is. If a guy just got divorce raped by his wife and says I'm not sure what divorce raped is. Is that when a woman takes half in a divorce? then you don't fucking add that to the AWALT meaning, you let him rant…

But if you want to challenge our idea and view, at least try to figure what it really is first before trying to write something about it on a debate forum. TRP is not science, it's a philosophy. How so? Philosophy tends to have consistent logic; AWALT shows that TRP is not consistent. Let some dude who just got shot down rant. He says it to comfort himself, once he comes to terms with the fact that she left or what ever she did he can start working on himself. AWALT doesn't work that way; it puts the blame on the woman and not the man who got shot down. So if he assumes that it is AWALT and not him, how can he work on himself? See, it's common sens…

You are the one not debating in good faith, because you do not actually want your view to be changed. That is one hell of an assumption. I haven't been able to get a consistent definition of AWALT. So to even begin changing my view there would need to be consistent definition As I said, you are attempting to project your views onto other people, something you say you are specifically against. I specifically say that? Oh right, a straw man to hand wave away the incoherent platform of AWALT.

But to me and 120k other men, it makes perfect sense. That is a tiny fraction of Reddit's user base, let alone the population as a whole. Common knowledge is total nonsense? Honestly, it starts by using AWALT as a mantra for when a woman does a shitty thing, then it turns into this idea that if you aren't a good partner she will leave you (no shit!). Which one is it? You want me to call hypergamy nefarious. I don't believe it is. It is simply the name given to the typical human female mating strategy. It isn't anymore or less nefarious than a man's preferred sexual strategy of sleep with as many women as possible. Those are some broad generalizations that are not reflected in the real world. AWALT does not mean that women have nefarious goals. How would you describe "hypergamy"? AWALT is a convenient 'soundbyte' to remind new guys that get 'rose-colored' glasses about women. To me it just comes across as an excuse to buy into TRP and won't lead to any real happiness.

All women have tendencies in a relationship that were built by evolutionary selection. These tendencies include things like branch-swinging/hypergamy. Every woman has her own personal threshold for when and why she will do this, and it is malleable with time and circumstances. Honestly, this just sounds like "if someone is not filling satisfied with a relationship they will leave" Why work on the base assumption they are lying, manipulating, and cheating and not from the base assumption that you…

So you could not love your wife if she used you to get status? I would not have fallen in love with her if her only goal was to get status. Actually why are you so bitter about women being attracted to status, it's just an attractive thing to have, accept that. That is what is referred to as a "straw man." Or are you telling me AWALT means women are always after status?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 07:26 PM

Give me that link https://www.reddit.com/r/TheRedPill/comments/2wvwf2/the_facets_of_awalt/ Why are women hypergamous? Lie, manipulate, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 07:16 PM

My wife has negative traits as do I. But I don't work off a base assumption like AWALT with her. There is a big difference between going "my wife refuses to break down boxes for the recycling" and "my wife is using me to gain my status"
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 07:15 PM
-5

Someone linked to a TRP thread where it began by talking about how women will always manipulate, lie, act slutty, etc. You should read more closely and give me your definition of AWALT.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 07:11 PM

That sounds like you agree with me.

/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 07:05 PM
-2

So what you are saying is someone can be TRP and never experience AWALT?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 07:03 PM
-4

I've had sexual connections that weren't meaningful. I've had ones that are meaningful. Sex isn't the end game of a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 07:02 PM
-2

Why is it so important? One of the most fulfilling aspects of my life is the connection I have with my wife. I find it to be very important personally. If you do not find having a healthy relationship to be important, more power to you. But then, you'd agree that AWALT can not lead to a healthy connection. BP is not a sexual strategy, it is a perspective on reality which is based on ideals and fem-centric imperatives such as empathy, honour, duty and humility. Wow, that's new to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 07:01 PM
-4

What does AWALT mean? I asked that earlier today and it keeps changing depending on who responds.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:59 PM
-2

Blue Pill isn't like Red Pill. As in, blue pill is a term used to mock red pill and not a sexual strategy. Do you think you have have a healthy connection while believing AWALT?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:57 PM
-6

That all women have tendencies to do things that will manipulate a man into a relationship that has no value for the man but high value for the woman. Once that value is gone, she will cheat on him.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:56 PM
-4

So you will never have a meaningful connection with a woman because you work off a base assumption of negative tendencies.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:53 PM

I take it as a "yes AWALT can not lead to a healthy connection"

I don't think that. That is how AWALT has been described to me. From the way it has been defined in this thread and another; it leads me to the conclusion it will never lead to a healthy connection.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:48 PM

Negative assumptions about a person based on broad generalizations puts them into a negative light; as in it degrades who they are as a person. Now pretend like I didn't explain that again and keeping asking the same question.

I am fair from athletic looking yet still had no issues having women finding me attractive. I think it was because I am confident about who I am mixed with me treating them as people and not a separate species that is out to suck me dry of my resources.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:41 PM
-2

So then you can not have a healthy relationship with that mindset.

Sentience.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:34 PM

They just are what they are. There's no problem having healthy relationships with them. It just requires the proper understanding and requisite action. So viewing women as wanting to manipulate you as their natural state of being can lead to a healthy relationship?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:33 PM
1

It really sounds like you are arguing against the concept of AWALT.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:32 PM
-3

Then you agree with my view on AWALT.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:32 PM
-4

Because the entire point of hypergamy is to manipulate a man so you can take his resources.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:31 PM
-4

So, when you act or are confident people find you attractive?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:31 PM

Because it seems to shift every time I begin to understand it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:30 PM

It is nefarious in thinking that a woman (any woman) will instantly leave you when you hit a rough patch.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:14 PM

Because not all of us are like people who follow TRP; and by comparing all men to TRP is degrading because it is a disgusting philosophy to follow.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:13 PM

but most will realise that 'something is messing' at any given time in the relationship, Why does that something missing have to be based around money or status? Why not "my man has become some sort of manipulative asshole that constantly assumes I am up to some nefarious plot by my very nature. I can not be with him anymore"?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:10 PM
1

How can you find a good man when you assume all men are sex obsessed creeps?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:08 PM
-2

So AWALT is basically some bizarre explanation on why people leave each other? EDIT: Working under the base assumption a woman will leave you the moment you have no value to her is nefarious.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:06 PM
1

Women are pretty shallow but there are tons of things besides SMV and LMS (Look, Money, Status) for example provider value. So the entire reason a woman enters into a sexual relationship is for some greater value out of it?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:06 PM
0

Well, the goal is to marry upward and manipulate a man for his money/status. That is like the first thing explained in AWALT; the hypergamous woo-woo. That is a nefarious goal.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:04 PM
1

It's called respecting nature and people's biological drives. That is some serious pseudo-science.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:03 PM
1

Are you purposefully being obtuse?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:03 PM
2

From the very beginning of that link: It’s a great reminder, every time we’re surprised by how slutty a girl is, every time a woman lies, manipulates, and cheats, every time a woman leaves a man at his worst, and every time a woman leaves a man who gave her the world. That sure sounds like a lot of nefarious actions.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 06:01 PM

The idea that women are out to marry upward and have this extremely shallow view of what they find attractive.

How is it misconstrued?

/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:54 PM

So you can talk about the characteristics women supposedly have? What do you mean?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:50 PM
1

Ah, an educated person would go "yes, assuming all women have nefarious goals when it comes to sexual relationships is respecting them"?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:49 PM
1

But sex obsessed creeps do exist Yes, as do women with nefarious goals. That doesn't mean AWALT or AMALT. Businesses and business leaders do not primarily look out for their own interests and shareholder interests? Yes they do; and one of those interest is increasing the bottom line. Paying people below market average, would help that bottom line.

How can assuming a woman has a nefarious purpose good for a LTR?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:42 PM

So TRP assuming all women are nefarious is the same as a Buddhist monk not having an attachment to an inanimate object? That is some serious hamstering.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:40 PM

Are these assumptions demeaning to men? Yes. The men I call family or friends are not some sex obsessed creep. Are they demeaning to businesses and business leaders? I would say those are accurate descriptions of how business works.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:39 PM

In the sense that there is inherent danger of an asteroid striking the earth and wiping out the human race; sure. In the sense of AWALT, no.

I already explained to someone else I meant inanimate objects.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:31 PM

Yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:30 PM

I found your response to be lacking. "No, you're wrong." being the main thrust. My main thrust has been the traits described in AWALT can apply equally to both sexes. Your line about healthy relationship was classic strawman. That line had this at the end "?" which denotes a question. I was wondering if AWALT means you can not have a health relationship as you start from the base assumption all women have nefarious goals. You seem married to the idea that there isn't a fundamental difference bet…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:29 PM
1

Well, I explained to you how a broad negative generalization of women is demeaning; and then you compared them to bears. I don't see how you can respect women when your base assumption is that they are inherently nefarious.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:22 PM
-2

I guess if your only goal is to have sex with shallow women and not having a healthy sexual relationship then it is a great tool.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:17 PM
1

Are you trying to have a sexual relationship with bears?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:15 PM
-1

Considering I am staying on topic of both this thread and the point of this forum, no. I am sincerely confused on how AWALT is supposed to work, this thread has only made it more confusing. Some people treat it like a scientific fact about women; others claim it is hyperbole. It makes no sense, and from my perspective is a huge hindrance on TRPers being happy about their sexual relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:15 PM
2

Because you are assuming that any woman you are engaging with has nefarious goals. How can you respect someone you think is working a nefarious plot against you?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:10 PM
-1

That's not the same as a broad generalization that isn't apparent.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:07 PM
2

AWALT isn't respectful, but rather demeaning. So if you are using what you've learned through TRP you are demeaning women.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:06 PM
-1

I've been told AWALT works heuristically; yet I don't see it.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:04 PM
1

A a man can not break a woman's heart, get her into dangerous situations with other women, destroy them through legal recourse, etc? All intimate human relationships are inherently dangerous Never mind, you answered my question.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:04 PM
2

I guess if you considered the myriad of sincere responses I've got on AWALT trolling, then yes, they are all trolling me.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:03 PM
1

Isn't that what this thread is all about?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:02 PM
2

By treating them with respect.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:02 PM

It can be taken literally because with enough observation and experience you will see it is true because women do have a nature. There is a term called "human nature" which through my observations and experiences is true. AWALT, however, is not. The reason it's a mantra is because men have a desire and tendency to lose perspective of what creature they are dealing with I haven't seen this to be true. They want to believe that their women is different and can be handled in a way that is easier or…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 05:01 PM

I really doubt it is useful.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:46 PM

So women are dangerous things and thus we should always assume they have some nefarious goal in mind?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:41 PM
-1

How am I supposed to know that?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:41 PM
-1

Ok, I have no idea what you are saying. Does this mean AWALT should be taken literally?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:38 PM
1

I keep getting told it isn't literal. Yet the application of it seems to be a literal application.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:37 PM
1

Yes, I do understand how analogies work. Do you understand that some analogies are bad?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:33 PM

Dead yes; sleeping no.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:33 PM

So AWALT should be taken literally?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:32 PM
-1

What do you mean? You want me to list all their characteristics?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:31 PM
0

So it is literal?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:30 PM
2

Because a gun is a tool used to harm or kill things. There is a difference between gun safety and sexual strategy.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:30 PM
1

Technically correct; I meant inanimate objects.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:29 PM
-1

All of them. Co-workers; my wife, my sister, my mother, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:28 PM
0

"Optimize your appearance" or "Approach with confidence"? Because those are part of RP sexual strategy that you say you didn't use. Look good and be confident aren't exclusive to TRP and existed a long time before TRP. That would be like me claiming to have invented ice because I figured out putting water in sub-zero temperatures freezes it. You had a strategy, whether you acknowledge it or not. That doesn't mean I used TRP.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:27 PM

AWALT is common sense. Yet I don't see these characteristics with the women in my life. So heuristically I've found it to be total bullshit. Common sense is that women are people; and people have various things they find attractive and have various personality traits.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:25 PM
0

Those could be reason they are attracted to someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:24 PM
2

Hyperbole isn't very logical; yet TRP prides itself on logic. Why call it AWALT?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:23 PM
1

So it is an inaccurate term that applies to the type of women TRP focuses on; yet for the sake of "sexual strategy" we apply those characteristics to all women.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:22 PM
1

That you choose to ignore these painfully clear statements and disingenuously state "I've gotten about a bunch of different explanations of how AWALT works without any of them working together" is telling. I agree that is very telling.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:21 PM
0

I'm not straw manning; I've been told, in this thread, that AWALT does not apply to all women, but rather most or many women. So why doesn't that same logic apply to men?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:20 PM
1

You're straw manning. No I am not. I've met plenty of women in my day and have had plenty of consensual sex without resorting to "sexual strategy"
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:20 PM
1

So why call it AWALT?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:16 PM
0

I've been told AWALT is for many women and not all women. So in the same breadth we can go AMALT when you mean many.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:16 PM
2

I've been accused of not understanding satire when I asked how AWALT works. Was that not supposed to mean AWALT is satire?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:15 PM
2

So instead of going "women who go to clubs and are into hook up culture tend to be shallow" you go "AWALT"?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:15 PM
1

Yes, which is why I am even more confused now that I've been bombarded with various definitions and explanations of AWALT.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:14 PM
0

The way you AMALT that men will think they found the exception to the rule that is satire/literal/approximation all at once.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:13 PM
1

It is a bad analogy. Is AWALT satire, a literal take on female nature, or an approximation?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:11 PM
2

Read this thread; I've gotten about a bunch of different explanations of how AWALT works without any of them working together.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:11 PM
1

I understand all those things. What I don't understand is how I have some people on here telling me AWALT is satire, others telling me it is a hard fact, and then another group telling me it is an approximation. All of them speak for the "sexual strategy" known as The Red Pill. Maybe I don't understand how AWALT works because no one understands how that nonsense works.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:09 PM
3

Yes. Do you understand people are not objects?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:06 PM
1

I'm glad that some many TRPers can read my mind.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:04 PM
1

What?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:03 PM
0

Yeah, you keep generalizing based on gender but only apply AWALT to one gender despite that being pretty even across both genders. So I would say you are in an echo chamber unable to accept facts that run counter to your bias.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 04:00 PM
0

AWALT is also satire despite all the people in this thread treating it like some scientific fact on female nature.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:58 PM
1

AWALT="female nature" Is that meant to be a scientific take? t no point is anyone on TRP claiming AWALT is a scientific formulation. Yet you just called it "female nature." What did you mean by that? The danger for men is that they will meet a woman who seems like a "uniconrn", a NAWALT, and they will let their gurd down and get destroyed when her inevitable nature outs. I'm not sure what this is supposed to mean. AWALT became the stock response to this and a comment left after endless tales of …
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:58 PM
2

The discussion of hypergamy in men and women just leads to confusion and is highly different just given the fact that many many man are willing to bang a 4. AMALT. Be lonely or use sexual strategy. There definitely is some logic at play here. But more emotion because you are lonely which is an emotion. The sky is blue, did you know? AMALT APALT doesn't do that as well. Why not? You've shown that it is easy to generalize based on gender; so APALT.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:51 PM
0

When did you gain the ability to read minds?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:49 PM
0

Ahh, ok TRP is satire!! That makes way more sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:48 PM
0

Wouldn't all those things be traits that make the man attractive?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:46 PM
1

Yes, you can use emotions in your thinking. You actually claim that's how women think.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:45 PM
6

It is what you think works, ie emotion. What if I told you I had no problems finding sexual partners without using a single tactic from TRP?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:42 PM
1

Why? Do you not compete with other men, and thus having an understanding of how they think would work to benefit you in that competition?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:41 PM
-4

The fact that some women date below their status does not necessarily denote attraction. The fact that a woman is in a relationship with a man does NOT mean she's attracted to him. I see no reason they would date someone they are not attracted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:37 PM
0

Yeah, it generalizes men and women but then only has AWALT and not AMALT...
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:35 PM
1

I've met plenty of women who date below their status.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:25 PM
3

What are you even talking about? that you used emotion to make the decision to fabricate a position not reflected on blue pill. Exactly where is "generalizations are ignorant" explicitly stated? any time awalt is brought up. You use statistical data (demographics) to enhance the precision of your generalizations. Not what I said at all. We use demographic data to target specific demographics. Demographics aren't exclusively based on gender. Wonderful. I bet you still look at women as a demograph…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:24 PM
0

That really didn't explain how AWALT works.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:15 PM
0

So you don't try to attract women who others would qualify as "out of your league"?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:14 PM
4

Wouldn't the fact you are using a "sexual strategy" show hypergamous tendencies and self-centeredness? Even the concept of "sexual strategy" is a emotional concept at its core. You are making a decision based on emotion to follow a sexual strategy. And really, almost everyone is attracted to others based on a range of characteristics. So shouldn't it be APALT and not AWALT?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:13 PM
2

Ahhh, so it should be SWALT "Some Women Are Like That"
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:10 PM
2

It doesn't need to be explicitly stated. It's implied in a thousand little lessons imparted to men on how to treat women. So they don't need to say something, you can just make it up for them? If you're going to attempt to be snarky, you would do best to at least do a passing job of keeping it on topic. I'm not being snarky, I am repeating what is explicitly stated and not just conjured up. No ad agency has ever said "we can only appeal to one person with an ad, so we need to make 7 billion diff…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:09 PM
2

Couldn't you say all men have hypergamous tendencies, self-centeredness, attraction based on a range of characteristics, and tendency toward emotionality and making decisions based on emotions? Why are those things unique to women?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 03:05 PM
2

blue pill conditioning that says that all women are both unique snowflakes who can't be generalized, AND are infallible goddesses whos actions are divinely inspired and never malicious. I've never seen this stated before. I thought it was more along the lines of "generalizing entire groups is ignorant." So does it apply to men? Yes, yes it does. However, society warns women that men are all rapists and abusers so there's no need to harp on it. Is that AMALT?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 02:57 PM
2

But doesn't AWALT stand for "All Women Are Like That"? So how can you have varying degrees of "All Women Are Like That"?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/15 02:56 PM
1

instead of merely spouting "no, no you are talking silly lies from a cult, waah!" why not try providing me with counterarguments (unless you have none). Here is a simple counter argument: modern feminism strives for true equality among genders and is not focused on making women superior to men. Posting links to MRM blogs that misconstrue situations to show how evil modern feminism is doesn't convince me you're not in a cult. I am a scientist. In practice, science provides us with perhaps the mos…

The way you describe feminism above is a way pretty much anyone would have a hard time disagreeing with, The way I describe feminism is how it actually is. The chap above described some bizarre made up feminism that is the modus operandi of MRM/TRP.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/15 03:58 PM
1

I wasn't being snarky, I was being empathic. That person had to have a really bad life to believe such insane bullshit about feminism and ranting about how I am brainwashed and think men are an enemy. Feminism is about equality; that doesn't mean women overpowering men, it doesn't mean women can commit domestic violence and get away with it, it doesn't mean making men to be an enemy, or any of the other bullshit his links talked about. Feminism is simply equality of the sexes. Things like the fa…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/15 03:23 PM

None of those things tied to feminism; and in fact domestic violence against men would be treated better if we moved away from toxic masculinity.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/15 03:05 PM
1

He provided evidence that I am brainwashed and that I think men are the enemy?! Huh, I must've missed that in the all that nonsensical ranting about how terrible feminism is.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/15 02:58 PM
1

Misguided in the fact you say absolutely insane things about feminism like this; You do not see how totally brainwashed feminism has made you. Men are not your enemy - the feminists are. That is just in-fucking-sane and makes absolutely no sense at all. I'm sorry you've got such low self-esteem that the only way you can pretend to have some is by making up bizarre shit about feminism.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/15 02:48 PM

Holy shit you're misguided. I'm sorry your life is this bad.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/15 10:42 PM

You do realize most of those problems stem from toxic masculinity? And that feminists are trying destroy that problem, which would solve a lot of the issues you have. But hey, you joined a cult that tells you lies about feminism so you can improve yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/15 11:50 AM
1

I think my view is entirely evidence based. You can think that all you want, but that doesn't make it true. Why is it TRP followers can't/won't listen to what feminist actually say?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/08/15 04:46 AM
1

Feminism in its current form is not about equality: it's about enacting female supremacy and male oppression. Not only is the patently false, it is crazy. I'm sorry you fill the need to lie about feminism to improve yourself.

So you better yourself by ranting about feminism?

I'm honestly not sure how to show you the myriad of experiences I've had dealing with both men and women that show AWALT to be poorly thought out. I work with, am friends with, and are related to women who display none of the AWALT characteristics. AWALT is below pseudo-science.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/08/15 04:38 PM

You do realize how pointless your question is? I know that it doesn't matter what I say or how I describe it you will find some way to proclaim AWALT.

Will you believe me?

Thats the definition. If you wish to define it to mean something else, then do so. Blue Pill is a label applied by TRP to justify why people don't buy into their cult. As I said before, you go first. As I said, I'm not playing this game. You can either answer the question I posed, or you can admit to not knowing what rape culture is as you dismiss it based off what your cult tells you. One could easily say the same thing about blue pill. The point is this... Can you define what is blue pill? Does theory "Red Pill" accurately represent reality? Nope. It does show you how to manipulate women with low self-esteem. But the black and white view of AWALT is not an accurate representation of realtiy. TRP is simply about education. Everyone I've ever dealt with from TRP can't fathom that the philosophy doesn't give them an accurate representation of how the real world works. On top of that, they tell me TRP teaches you how to fight the rebuttals, along with misrepresentations of what those rebuttals are. Look a the questions posed by TRP people on this subreddit. Honestly, I don't get how you can't see the hamstring for the inability to understand alternate positions. Look at how this entire thread started with me clarify a criticism and you excusing the criticism without addressing it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/15 12:45 AM

However, it does provide answers to most of the criticisms levelled at it and as such removes credence from them. Honestly, that just sounds like TRP creates an atmosphere that shuts out the ability to understand other points of view. Dread game is a tool for repairing a relationship when things go wrong So to repair a relationship you insult someone? It isn't a constant struggle and in many relationships it may not even come up at all. That doesn't sound very TRP. I thought all relationships we…

Not to listen necessarily, but to value. I don't understand what this means. Please elaborate. I wasn't referring to the relationship, I was referring to the arrangement you have within the relationship for dealing with divergent preferences. Well, that's how healthy relationships work. It really seems like you are agreeing that Red Pill Ideology creates a mindset that shuts down the ability to understand different positions. And if it isn't a logical issue but one of preference? Then it usually goes in some sort of order; like I picked the last movie so now she can pick the next one. So you're actually doing exactly what we're talking about, you just label it differently. /r/PurplePillDebate05/08/15 06:36 PM
1

Certainly it is to debate. If someone makes an unsubstantiated claim and then berates me for asking them to give it substance is that emotion or logic on my part? Should unsubstantiated claims be valid in debate? What do you think the debate should be? Should I focus only on the most extreme examples of opposing views?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/15 06:30 PM

Instead of meaningful approach to issues men face it has become a giant hysterical shouting match about how evil feminism is. It creates a mindset where interpersonal relationships are a bizarre power struggle, which in turn hurts the person's ability to make a real connection. The mindset that you sell your soul to a fucked up reality also shuts down debate and the ability to listen to other people with differing points of view.

I only go for 100% Snark. The fact you tell me to "go educate yourself" tells me that you have made up your mind and will only listen to sources that back up your position. You don't want a debate, you want people to agree with you.

False. I work in sales, men are just as driven by their emotions as women.

What makes you think I haven't educated myself? Oh, I know, I am not agreeing with you!

Oh wow, a slew of YouTube videos from biased sources. You've won me over in convincing me that Feminism is out to destroy men or some such nonsense. Oddly enough, the Feminist I converse with online and in the real world are nothing like the Feminist that people like you talk about. Weird.

A difference of opinion is something more along the lines of; you prefer the Dallas Cowboys and I prefer the Green Bay Packers. What you are doing is perpetuating bullshit in order to retain a goofball position, and being extremely condescending while doing so; that's what makes you an asshole. Also what is your opinion about what feminism is, based on the cumulative effect of their activism and actions in the real world today? Well, there are a slew of things that feminism strives for. Obviousl…

The stereotype I see is "I'm anti-feminist, watch me make up what feminism supports and then be an asshole to people who correct me." Did it ever occur to you that someone might know just as much or more about feminism, but have a different opinion on some matters because of their different lived experiences? Sure, it has occurred to me. Has it occurred to you? The main difference in our perspectives about feminism comes from you defining feminism based on its stated goals and me defining femini…

Why is it the only people who hold that view are anti-feminist? My guess is that they don't understand feminism and are too lazy to take the time to understand feminism. Hence why they perpetuate obvious bullshit.

Say what? Your example used a feminist that was being attacked by other feminist as an example of feminist getting in the way of the MRM. I'm sorry you don't make sense, but that isn't my fault.

I love the flippant disregard for how poorly thought out your argument and position are. Feminist fighting amongst themselves is somehow an example of feminist being in the way of MRM!! If mental gymnastics was an Olympic sport you'd be representing your country proudly.

But listening to Pizzey means you'd be listening to a feminist. And feminist get int he way of the MRM by pointing out domestic violence can be reciprocal.

So a woman who created the first women's shelters is a driving force behind the men's rights movements? It sounds like to me she is a feminist, and is pushing concepts other feminist disagree with. There have been systematic sabotage of feminist gatherings, even threats of violence, and actual violence. See, what you are doing is exactly what I am referring too. Instead of being anti-feminist maybe you should look at Feminist like Erin Pizzey and go "hey, they do care about men!"

How are they in the MRM's way? The only thing I've seen the MRM push misinformation on what feminism is and what goals it has.

The actors within a capitalist system are not blind. That question is inherently flawed on that premise alone.

I'm not sure what you are talking about, Feminist are the first that pushed to include men and boys in things like rape and pedophilia. Feminism isn't anti-men nor is it anti-men's issues.

yet her father is no longer obligated to pay any type of dowry. What a shame that marriage is no longer seen as an exchange of property!! I really wish I wouldn't have gotten married now that you pointed out it is a charade because women aren't treated as property. t's slogan is to "fight for equality" which ultimately means serving women at the expense of men. I find it very interesting that someone who is upset that marriage is no longer seen as the exchanging of property between two men has t…

Not really, since the focus of How to Win Friends and Influence People is more about developing strong relationships with people and interacting in social settings; less about how to manipulate someone into sleeping with you.

I am a huge proponent of Dale Carnegie. I was lucky enough to convince work to pay for the Dale Carnegie course, which is one of the greatest experiences of my life. I really feel like reading and absorbing his stuff seems so common sense at first, and once you start to think about it you realize how few people actually do those things.

Sensationalism; the article is about the West Des Moines Police force wanting to broaden their applicant pool. No where in there did I see them say "We are only looking for women or minorities." What I did see was; "We just want as many people to apply so we can start the hiring process." I guess you can take that as reverse racism, or you could be logical and think the Police Department wants to see applications from all qualified individuals.
