As I said, the State makes a decision on that. I got fired from a Customer service job for 1 bad phone call after 3 years at a company. I simply nicely disconnected a call, and was terminated for it without any write up or anything. The state had no problem giving me UI even after the employer challenged it. Dude, I just started a new job this week, in Geotechnical related stuff. I'm outside all day drilling boreholes and working in the sun. It great actually. Maybe. Depends on the long term. A full scale planetary radiation, and the cockroaches will rule the earth in a few million years. A limited strike would be harsh, as it would isolate land across the world that couldn't be used, but humanity would figure out how to grow food, and rebuild society. Yes, we would be thrown back 1000 years, but we'd make it. Humanity has survived natural events that would make a nuke strike look like childs play, so we can do it.
