I'm not a westerner and live in a somewhere casual sex is definitely not the norm. It's really not to difficult to find if you look for it, but 99% of people don't. Perhaps its my culture; I really can't separate sex and marriage in my mind. It's like if you had sex with someone, you are 'married' to them. I'm attractive, rated an 8 on Reddit, and girls like talking about me among themselves and make the first move, so I think it wouldn't be too difficult to partake in casual sex if I wanted to.…

Not arguing. But I'd like to ask women that want a man that doesn't consume pornography: are men that stopped consuming pornography also not someone you'd be with? Because I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a man that has never watched it at all.

I think attraction is always shallow. It's something we're born with, can't control and happens due to certain physical features or behaviors that we like for some reason despite never finding out the why. That is if there was a why on a personal level; many just seem biological/evolutionary. It doesn't matter if all women's attraction are hypergamous or if all men's attraction are based on looks as neither men nor women shallow just for having attraction. People are only shallow if they make th…

I think it's because male sexuality is seen as disgusting. Put a focus on the word male; It implies expectations of the sex. A pegging dominatrix might be doing something typically coded as a male action by penetrating but in the end it is not seen as male sexuality but female when a woman pegs. It's less the action itself but for who the sex is seen to 'serve' or desired by most. Think female or male gaze. I said that man OR woman + man = bad arose from the understanding male sexuality is disgu…
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 02:05 PM

I thought of using the example of a man pegging a woman and have is not equal as bad, but I thought of the latter thing (man OR woman + man = bad) and realized that it still equaled to bad in the end because in the latter case it's not even what the man did or if he even used his genitals, the disgust of male sexuality remains. Also people were talking about gay people to discuss this topic anyways so I didn't think I was being irrevelevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/23 09:37 AM

But a woman getting pegged by another woman doesn't 'taint' her so it's not just submission = bad. It's true when it's done to a man though so I think it's man + submission = bad. But both men and women become 'tainted' when they have sex with a man because of a separate thing which is man OR woman + man = bad. The former is because of expectations of men and the latter is because of disgust of male sexuality.

What do girls think of big noses, especially if the guy is (otherwise) attractive? Like Stray Kid's Bang Chan for example.

Same. It's like I can't be sexually attracted to them anymore. In a sense, I look at them like I would men.

Yes, it's true that some of the Eastern world is increasingly adopting Western values. There are certain countries where the culture is pretty much Western in all but name. But there are also those that are heading towards another direction. In my Muslim-majority Asian country, there is no way the things you say in the following: It's not just the Asian waifu crowd who never actually checked the figures and found out that abortion, divorce, and modern lifestyles are a thing in much of Asia just …

I agree with the gist of it. It's honestly just common sense. But you need to keep in mind that to be attractive towards women is not all about physical attractiveness. A woman could truly be attracted to a man's personality or other aspects though it's unlikelier that'll be what attracts her. It's a common experience that women that they're attracted to a man that's displayed confidence, kindness or even skill in music then wishing he makes a move on her. However, unlike physical attractiveness…

Y'know, as an Easterner, it's kinda naive and insulting to insinuate that our social culture is just something that will eventually 'evolve' into a (more) Western culture as if we're just primitive version of the same thing rather than another whole other thing that's different.

I think the men that don't want women who are 'easy' in the way you say is not because there's no excitement but that they're suspicious. Most men do not get the amount of attention and attractiveness that they believe is required to get a woman who showers him with love out of the gate so they believe she has an ulterior motive. I think men do not wish for hard-to-get women as you surmised, and they will love it if a woman treated them the way you described, but only after trusting you.

He didn't want to call EMS because he doesn't want her to get arrested. He's not saying he's a trauma surgeon that immediately assessed her condition on sight and thought it the best course of action. He saw a passed out girl, and, reasonably or unreasonably, brought her to her house rather than call EMS so that she wouldn't get arrested. Also, the sorority/fraternity people can call the EMS themselves.

I think the point /u/Iamslightlysad is trying to make is that getting no attention also has negative aspects to it. He's saying that men who face the problems that comes with getting no attention who express that they might prefer the problems of getting attention instead is not dismissing women who do face those problems, just that they find the former worse than the latter and prefer it for themselves. I know that sounds like downplaying the problems of getting attention such as harassment, bu…

Yeah, it should have been archived 100%. Was fun reading how they were proud of driving a man to suicide, AMAs and tutorials on how to manipulate men, and how it's a man's role to be the host in a parasitical relationship. And that's only the tip of the iceberg. You can find similar stuff on /r/vindicta, /r/Splendida and Ovarit though to a much lesser extent.

Normal in what way? You say those are "whole-package men" like they're the average Joes you meet everyday. Yes, those men can have fun when young just like women can. But how is that in anyway 'normal' if you have to above-average in looks, education and career?

/r/TwoXChromosomes, /r/FemaleDatingStrategy and the worst, /r/Diabla (oh, it's private now but hl sht, that sub would make you think women are heartless demons) make me want to not date women too. I don't think internet bubbles are a good reflection of reality and shouldn't influence your decisions in real life much. But I think it's nice to know just how bad it could really get. Makes you more appreciative of normal things.

TheMotte might be your jam then. Contrarian pseudo intellectuals that will definitely make those kinds of wacky arguments about various topics. Thanks, never heard of TheMotte. Really thanks, been looking for something like this. SlateStarCodex By the way, how well known is SSC? Kinda surprised you knew about them. When I came to them, I only knew about the 'rational' genre which tbh contains tropes I generally like. So, when I found /r/SneerClub, a mod uhh cyberbullied(?) me for talking about H…

I see plenty of conflict in this sub and others. I mostly mean the frontpage subs. There can be conflicting opinions there, but you'd have to sort by controversial, or scroll all the way down while sorting by top to find them. Often, they're accompanied by ad hominem comments with no actual argument to be made against them. But well-reasoned arguments is why I come to forums so I can learn about people's views, not memes and quips. To be honest, these days, there's no actual internet debates any…

I've figured out that I don't actually care about this pill shit, gender or feminism or men's rights or whatever. I was just attracted to having a balanced perspective which is why I like learning the opposite view of things, and Reddit, which is one of the few social media I go to, is predominantly teen/young adult, leftist, atheist, American which leads to a bubble of the same views shared over and over again, with opposite views dogpiled on, and I felt I was being mind-controlled and told wha…

The ARE women that would go for you even if you're the ugliest mofo they've ever seen (Reddit confirmed my ugliness before my glow-up). A woman whose 'minimum looks threshold' doesn't exist. And no, she doesn't have to be ugly herself. It happened to me. HOWEVER, the blue pill overstates how probable this is. I got real lucky meeting a woman who didn't have my looks stop her. But that quality is rare, I bet it's like 0.01% of people. And some rom-com tier shit needed to happen, which was not pla…

As someone from one the countries passport bros go to, we are worlds different in term of casual sex. If you specifically go for a muslim-majority asian country, saving for marriage is the norm and premarital sex is very rare. Before you say everyone but me does casual sex and I'm just oblivious to it: Nope.

I'm from SEA and yeah, true. I've learnt a lot about facial aesthetics (QOVESStudio among others) and I find that western idea of asian beauty is way different from eastern idea of beauty. I've written multiple pages on this before on another account but I'm not going to go in-depth (because people don't know the basics of that topic and I'd need to explain waaay too much to avoid misunderstandings especially parts related to race). But in short, the beauty standards that westerners apply to asi…

Maybe for fairly young men? This site skews younger. I'd bet half of those participating /r/PurplePillDebate are teens or very young adults. Nor do I think it's that hard to have something to offer. It isn't. At least to meet a single or a subset of a woman's requirements at young age. The thing is that is not generally enough to enter a relationship for young men which is why you always hear young men's lamentations on this subreddit. There are those that are young that meets all those requirem…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/23 05:32 AM

In general, agree with you and I don't think average women need to go for average men just because they're on the same level as the sole reason. But having "something to offer" for a man is harder than it is for a woman. Women want some specific qualities and/or get the 'spark' from the guys, whereas for most men, just having a close sexual relationship with someone who he finds attractive (not a high bar generally speaking as a man), which is something you can always expect when entering a rela…

There are wealthy males in other countries, and yet there's no trend to "come and get a modern western wife" in droves. That leads me to believe Western women have some kind of reputation. What is it exactly? That's only because you're on the Western internet. People from different parts of the world go on different websites, and it's rare to see someone from SEA like me on Reddit. Most of the time, they just view the front page and look at memes. To answer your question, dating a western person…

Huh, that's actually changing my view of the rights to bear arms. To allow it or not, either was fine with me but if allowing to citizens to have warm weaponry can really replace the draft, I'd be more supportive of it.

I'm from a Muslim-majority Asian country. Saying that because some people here pointed out that we're possibly the only countries where saving yourself for marriage is the norm. It is. So much so that when I learnt that the rest of the world lose their virginities in their teens, I couldn't believe and thought it was just another exaggeration of the internet. To me, it's like hearing that everyone outside of my country has lived in the wild alone with someone they trust without bringing anything…
