Not sure what you're saying here. It really was a social media campaign. SRS has tried multiple times to ruin reddit's reputation within the media because it's proven so effective at swaying the admins. The only thing that has ever succeeded in forcing them to remove offensive content is bad publicity.

SRD is SRS 2.0. I hate that subreddit so much. Well obviously. But the point is, SRD has no particular issue with doxxing. I actually haven't heard of a single instance of doxxing that's ever taken place there. Given the size and activity level of SRD, and the fact that it's a meta sub, that is impressive. You remember project panda? Yes, it was a grass-roots social media campaign designed to raise awareness about misogyny on reddit.

SRS is a relic. Most of their userbase has gotten bored and moved on, and they have very little activity these days. We have far more overlap with meta subs like SRD and circlebroke, the badacademics network, and female-leaning subs like 2XC and creepyPMs. I'm also curious to hear who you think SRS actually doxxed.

Because it's a logical deduction. If you post a quote, you can good that quote and find it's source. As I've already stated multiple times, Googling these quotes turned up absolutely nothing. I checked, the user who posted them checked, several of our other mods checked. They couldn't be traced that way.

Of course I hope you understand why it is we have stricter policies on PPD with regards to some issues. The slightest violation of privacy could scare off many of our users. In fact, this did happen after the TBP incident. Several users felt unsafe and stopped posting here. Yes, I understand that you want to keep people feeling safe. We have the same attitude in my subs. That means we often remove things which don't qualify as doxxing, just to keep the atmosphere relaxed and friendly.

It's as I explained to /u/TAKEitTOrCIRCLEJERK. My experience is that most of the time, when men are looking for a woman primarily to have sex with, they tend to get way too sexual, way too fast. I looked around and couldn't find any reliable figures on conviction/attrition figures for the US (where I'm assuming we're most concerned with). However, it's my understanding that the biggest cause of attrition in rape cases is withdrawn allegations; and that the reasons for withdrawal are generally related to shame and fear on the part of the victim. I would imagine that anonymity goes a long way way towards countering those factors (it certainly would for me).

Sure, but my point about this story was that we don't really know if the boy in question was denied due process. You've heard more of the mother's story than I have, so you probably have a better idea of how plausible it sounds. I agree that if the events unfolded as she claims, then that is horrifying. But however awful it seems, bear in mind that you still have heard only one, very biased, perspective on the incident.

Reddit is male-dominated. I know it's horrible that something is male-dominated, but it happens.
