Women complain about double standards a lot, and they're right. But I don't consider myself a feminist or a men's right activist. Just as universities around the globe are changing their women's studies curriculums to to gender studies, I feel that stereotyped gender roles negatively impact the entire society, both men and women more or less equally.

For example, whereas women are faced with the madonna / whore complex, men are faced with a rapist / coward complex. In high school especially, either you go out there and conquer a female, or you are worthless. For this very reason, many young men are horrified of intercourse, and an increasing percentage of males report suffering from erectile dysfunction while trying to lose their virginity.

And then there are my personal experiences. One time, this really hot twenty-two year old chick was riding me cowgirl style and told me, "Don't move at all." Now, if that's not objectification, then what is? She just wanted me to be her personal dildo, while I laid back with my hands behind my head and got my knob pounced on. I mean, if I were to get on top of a girl, instruct her not to move, and start going at it, that would be something different, wouldn't it? But when the shoe's on the other foot, it's just really awesome no-strings-attached sex with a hot 22 year old. Doesn't seem fair, does it?

And then, this one time, I was kissing my girlfriend's stomach, and she just pushed my face down into her crotch. It was very forceful, and I felt dehumanized by it, but it is not acceptable in our society for men to complain about this.

Really, every girlfriend I've ever had has been pushy about sex when I want to do more productive things like share my solid gold opinions on the Internet. If I'm not in the mood, I'm not in the mood. Get over it. I would never do such a thing to a woman. But, flip the script, and it's OK of course.

It's also weird how, if two guys fuck one girl, it's "running a train," but if two girls fuck one guy, it's a really hot threesome. I think it's kind of humiliating when my girlfriend wants to bring her shy bisexual friend into the bedroom with us so we can all teach each other new tricks, but I'm supposed to be proud of it. If it were me trying to get my friend Kevin to fuck my girlfriend while I masturbate in the closet, that would be totally different.

And speaking of which, guys think it's hot for girls to be lesbians, but girls don't think it's hot for guys to be gay. Not fair! If me and Kevin want to make out sometimes, my girlfriend should like that, but she doesn't.

These are just some of the double standards that hurt men every day, and that plague my life on a regular basis.
