People shouldn't make profound quotes which are only 3 days old.

Masculine is how a man expresses himself, no more no less, when people start telling you what Masculine is, then they are speaking shit (and yes that includes me)

Well you were the one reposting all their doxxing and calling for VA's head so yeah i'm pretty sure thats an affiliation right there, add to that, that several Gawker employees and writers are /SRS members and you have a hot potatoe pie.

Sex = What physical part you're born with. I'd argue that it comes down to your XY or XX structure but whatever man.

How would you fucking know you've never not been circumcised.
/r/MensRights05/05/13 09:00 PM

It's not discrimination in and of itself, but there must be an investigation as to why Men are not living long enough or not accessing services at the same level as women.

Not technically true, i'll give you an anecdote, i'm the most JUNIOR part-time Bartender at my bar, out of a staff of three full time males, 2 Part-time Males (Myself included) and 3 part time females, despite being a part time staff member and the most junior and least experienced member of staff, i am expected on a weekly basis to work at least 40 hours, compared to the 30 hours expected off the 3 more Senior female staff members, it has gotten to the point now where i am being requested to wo…

Oddly enough where i come from Student government is near entirely Women' and incredibly Feminist centric, heck they even have twice annual women's conferences.

/r/MensRights01/05/13 09:40 PM

Thats not what he is doing, bodily integrity is a human right as codified by the UN, by forfeiting that right by circumcising boys without their consent, their parents and doctors are treating them as non-human.

The international community needs chaos, and the only people it hurts are the people doing the wrong things, the people making deals behind the backs of their own people and those who do not have the best interests of peace at heart, and hey, you can't have peace without both sides being honest.

Yes and in your cost-benefit analysis you must consider that ALL lies become more damaging with time, thus if 30 years from now you have a sudden bout of guilt and fess up it will be infinitely worse than if you had 30 years ago.

Disasters only get bigger with time, honesty early can mitigating the damage of lying now and being found out later, because when that happens the situation is nuclear.

You know we have this same post, EVERY 2-3 days right? and what is wrong with being turbulent? what is wrong with being reactionary, if you are reacting to the downright failure of society, and complete failure of Feminism to address men's issues in a meaningful way, and i never see Sexism of /MR which isn't downvoted into oblivion, heck one of my comments went -8 today because i said that someones excuse for their actions smelt like "Fishy Vag" but i digress. Don't give them the excuse to ban us, because they probably will. You don't seem to realise the way the MRM works, i'll sum it up in a star wars quote 'Strike me down and i will become more powerful than you could possibly imagine' i'll tell you know that if tomorrow they delete /MR we as a group will benefit from it, we will ride that controversy train and it will bring more people into the fold.

/r/MensRights26/04/13 04:23 AM

And what of another certain subreddit, and a certain Gawker media who they are affiliated with, who engaged in those same actions, and yet the actions you took amounted to what exactly? nothing? it seems like /SRS wears a bulletproof vest on reddit, they have your support for some ridiculous reason.
/r/MensRights26/04/13 04:11 AM

Right gentlemen, i think this is our cue to pack the bags, the articles, and the ad revenue that this sub generates and find ourselves a new home.
/r/MensRights26/04/13 04:08 AM
2

And I'm not sure of the utopian dreams you speak of, I'm referring to very attainable goals. i posit this as an example people who say we should just end the draft rather than including women in it as well, now i agree the Draft is a horrible thing, but the ending of it, well thats a nigh political impossibility, it is easier and will achieve equality in our lifetimes to include women, rather than ending it for men
/r/MensRights26/04/13 12:38 AM
1

Well i'll be blunt, i believe that Women need to lose some of their privileges to achieve equality, and that doesn't make me a bad person, also i support things which are politically possible, not utopian dreams which while great (in theory) are impossible in practice.
/r/MensRights25/04/13 09:08 PM
1

I believe we have problems, but not the one's he is pointing out.
/r/MensRights25/04/13 07:01 PM
1

But it's not that simple it's not just 'logic' when people have two different understandings of what exactly constitutes violence, and one person insists and act is violent and the other does not, then there is no chance for agreement or consensus.
/r/MensRights25/04/13 06:54 PM
1

Actually my point was one of gains, neither of us gain from ceaselessly throwing our differing opinions at the subject at each other.
/r/MensRights25/04/13 06:40 PM
1

Look, i think we have a fundamental disagreement on our hands here which cannot be resolved, want to call it a day and just agree that neither of us are willing to see eye to eye on this?
/r/MensRights25/04/13 06:36 PM

When you sue a business, you are denying money to the people of that business. I am also denying myself money, by sueing them (possibly unsucessfully) to try and amend what i as a consumer (and thus am always right on these matters) see as wrong with the business, and thusly an third party arbitrates on the matter, between myself and the business.
/r/MensRights25/04/13 06:30 PM
1

But the business itself, does not have the same rights as a human being, the two are distinct and separate, Everyman Co Ltd. does NOT have the same rights as it's owner John Johnson
/r/MensRights25/04/13 06:22 PM
1

But the Rights of the business and the Rights of the individuals who own and operate that business are separate, businesses are not people.
/r/MensRights25/04/13 06:07 PM
1

There doesn't need to be one, there is a difference, you are equating a business with a person.
/r/MensRights25/04/13 05:59 PM
1

NO business operates to serve the public. The operate to make money. And that money is made how? I cannot force you to buy my brand of milk. That'd be criminal. That'd be theft, essentially. How is a business owner any different? Then by your reasoning monopolies are criminal, and we all know there is a difference, between being forced to buy milk, and being forced to provide a service, the difference being that the owner has no reasonable excuse to exclude.
/r/MensRights25/04/13 05:53 PM
1

Follow on their word? Since when is the defendant of a lawsuit who loses giving their word? There wouldn't be defendants if people could follow their word. If they just refuse you service for whatever reason, it is not reasonable to sue them. If a business operates to serve the public, it must serve all of the public within reason, if it is a private club then i have no problem with it. It's coercion, plain and simple, and should be left to things that are actually criminal. The problem is that …
/r/MensRights25/04/13 05:45 PM
1

There only need be a threat of violence, when people do not follow on their word, by advocating against the need for violence, you are advocating for the entire world to be run on the honour system.

but when they use the law to get what they want, they're undermining freedom at the expense of men. All oppression is is the denial of freedom. When men face oppression, due to feminists especially, it is because they are denied freedoms because of the government being in cahoots with the feminists. That is Opinion not fact, just because you see these things as what you see them is doesn't mean others do, by versing your debate to assume your assumptions as true, you are using a framing tactic, …

It is not political in the way i talk about it, it does not align itself with a political ideology, it align's itself with a need to benefit the lives of men and work towards an equal society, now i'll admit i follow realpolitik but i would never advocate the entire movement be based around it, however you are debating here, using the terms of your politics to try and define the movement as somehow sharing part of your own ideology, thus politicizing the movement as an inherently libertarian aff…

Give me the average weight of both and i could figure it out for you, but that wasn't the point you were making, but lets stop boo-hoo'ing here, the Holocaust is spilled milk, circumcision is milk that is leaking by the Gallon while we do nothing.

Gotta background check :)
/r/MensRights21/04/13 10:24 PM

Yes so in FGM, i can bring you the signed testimonies of women who were circumcised to prove it.
/r/MensRights21/04/13 10:23 PM
-4

Circumcision effects 33.33333333333333% (Ad-infinitum) of men worldwide approximately, which is equal to 16.6666666666 (Ad-infinitum) of all people alive today, so yeah MGM affects more people than the Holocaust, by a wide Margin. i haven't ran the numbers but there is the possibility that in 6 years more people are circumcised than were killed in the holocaust, but i lack the data to make the conclusion, and also Godwin's law can only be invoked when the comparison is not apt.
/r/MensRights21/04/13 10:23 PM
3

Because of religious tenets that have bled into society and have been studied to make them seem more appealing. Female circumcision (e.g. Gishiri cutting) wasn't performed in Judaism (yes, yes, I know that it's believed that the concept pre-dates Judaism, but Judaism and from there Christianity is what has made it such an accepted and wanted procedure in the Western world), as the act of circumcision was the symbolic means of proving a boy had become a man. REFUTATION! Circumcision was Rejected …

Sorry, i am just a dick though and as a general rule of thumb i don't debate with Feminists, my position and my niche which i have carved out here, is to talk to and motivate other MRA's, to formulate and debate theory inside our ranks, but not outside it.

The difference is that some feminists are our enemy, some are not. Some are actively working against us, others are not - and are even sympathetic. The latter may be in a position where they read our material, see the merits, see the problems with feminism and convert. A fair amount of MRAs are ex-feminists. And they are Ex-Feminists for a reason, but i will not tolerate people who willingly associate with the name Feminism professing some sort of support for our position because the two cannot …

Yes but here is the problem i call it the budget pie problem, you have a budget of 100 million dollars for healthcare, at the moment 70 million goes into women's healthcare and 30 million goes into men's we cannot increase the budget so the only way to achieve equality is what? to reduce it for women of course! however Feminists will fight tooth and nail against this so in the end because Men are demanding equality and Feminists don't want to give up advantageous positions for women, we'll come …

You clearly don't know the history of male circumcision do you. It was brought to the America's during the victorian period by John Harvey Kellogg (The Cereal Guy) who advocated circumcision of boys because it would curb their willingness to masturbate (Control of male sexuality) which he believed caused madness, so i'd argue that male circumcision atleast within the context of the united states is focused on sexually crippling and controlling male sexuality. 300 Million, half of those are women, and half are men, of those 300 million 1/3rd are military age, thats 100 million, with an 80% suitability thats 80 million possible you forget in times of war you don't need someone who can lug all the possible equipment as there are many roles which simply don't require it, and those roles will be filled, standards will also be reduced so more soldiers can be recruited in times of need so the entire argument is useless.

Yes but in subreddits where he is the creator, he cannot be removed without his consent (atleast that is my understanding) so any attempt to unseat him would depend upon his own willingness to do so, my attempt here is to convince /Feminisms that continuing to have someone like him as a moderator (where he is not a creator) is detrimental to them as a group and thus to stop there being any more bad blood between /MR and /Feminisms they should remove him.

/r/MensRights01/04/13 01:20 AM

Did we need proof?
/r/MensRights01/04/13 01:15 AM
4

I'd like to see proof, and if so we can just accuse them of historical revisionism by using the 'Feminist-friendly' version of history, as real history as revealed through the primary sources of the time, speak volumes against the feminist interpretation of history.
/r/MensRights01/04/13 01:06 AM

It's not the level of harm, it's the type of harm, a False rape accusation is not a sex crime, it falls under things such as libel and defamation of character.
/r/MensRights01/04/13 01:05 AM

I wasn't escaping that, i was escaping the apparently unending well of human stupidity.
/r/MensRights01/04/13 12:41 AM

While i have argued that in the past and do agree with it, i do not believe that false rape allegations fall under the necessary criteria for addition to this register.
/r/MensRights01/04/13 12:40 AM
121

No, because i personally believe the scope of such registers are already too far ranging, if one can be placed on the same database as pedophiles for pissing in public, then that database needs to have it's standards readjusted.

The majority are from a previous heterosexual relationship. Does that include sperm donation, and surrogacy because if it does you are intentionally skewing the statistics to serve an agenda, and i don't like that.
/r/MensRights31/03/13 11:25 PM
2

Not all forms of male sexuality are equally valid nor desirable Arguable Pedophilia causes real and provable harm, can you prove the same for homosexuality? Unless you want to postulate that MRA is also concerned with male pedos... We should be, Pedo Hysteria has put men in a very troublesome place, and again links can be made between people who believe that homosexuality (as a form of sexual deviancy) is linked to Pedophilia and that all gay men are pedophiles.

One must also understand that rape by soldiers isn't ALWAYS voluntary, in the some soldiers who escape regimes where rape is used to keep rebellions in line they indicate that their commanding officers force them to rape at gunpoint.

It's an outlier and thus not worth discussion, people who bring this up try to use this as an example "Because 0.000000000001% of women will suffer if we don't hold both parties responsible, we must hold bother parties responsible" these are outliers and as such they only serve to distract from the debate, a man should be presumed not liable if he is not told of the pregnancy end of.

You think intercourse is a private act; it's not, it's a social act. Men are sexually predatory in life; and women are sexually manipulative. When two individuals come together and leave their gender outside the bedroom door, then they make love. By how many decades do this predate your quote?
/r/MensRights30/03/13 12:23 AM
1

You are being incoherent. Teach implies not in inherent Ugh you are just, a piece of fucking work, how many different things of our base nature are taught out of us growing up? all of those things are innate and inherent to ourselves but they are taught out of us, this is the same line that some feminists take with rape, that men are BORN with the nature of a rapist inside them and that it needs to be taught away. Is that a clear enough explanation or are you just going to repeat "You are being …
/r/MensRights30/03/13 12:04 AM
1

You are saying that "teaching men not rape instead" refers to an earlier claim that men are inherent rapists. If its inherent it cannot be taught. No i am saying that the phrase 'teach men not to rape' presupposes that rape is something innate to men that needs to be taught out of them, an idea which appears decades before this current one Also, teach men not to rape, refers to tips that are commonly given to women, not some claim that men are biologically programmed to rape. Which you claim is …
/r/MensRights29/03/13 11:52 PM
1

Yes I know srs or tumblerfeminists have said it to you straight faced. Don't give them the credit of not being "Real" Feminists. It still doesn't change the fact that mra's dont know what the idea behind it was and so look like they don't know their own topics. You are still failing to recognise that the concept and idea of men being inherently rapists predates this 'satire' as you call it, and that this 'satire' again only serves to reinforce an idea which long predates it.
/r/MensRights29/03/13 11:45 PM
2

You continue to claim they are flipping a script and using satire, when i have indicated and on occasion sourced from Feminists themselves the exact opposite, this dialogue is not productive.
/r/MensRights29/03/13 11:40 PM
2

You are clearing dodging my point. If mra;s don't understand things they talk about all the time, they look like fools. They understand perfectly fine how it is being used when it is said to them YOU however are the only one holding delusionally onto "it's Satire" regardless of what Feminists say.
/r/MensRights29/03/13 11:29 PM
2

That is conditional upon the outcome of any neutral research into the matter.
/r/MensRights29/03/13 11:20 PM
3

because they don't know the meaning or agenda behind these things. Wrong answer, if the majority are using it with a serious agenda and serious meaning then that is what we are replying to, the origins of a statement do not matter compared to how it is actually used, in effect to point you to the word Nigger, not originally a pejorative. Try using it today then telling the offended Masses "You don't know the meaning or Agenda behind these things"
/r/MensRights29/03/13 11:18 PM
3

I am not worried about it, i am curious of it like many things, and if you ask me "Why am i worried about it" again as some sort of rhetorical device this debate will cease and you clearly have no interest in entertaining it.
/r/MensRights29/03/13 11:12 PM
3

If it was originally meant as satire that meaning has been lost to the many thousands who repeat it as fact with straight faces, in other words something cannot be satire if they majority of people saying it are saying it seriously.
/r/MensRights29/03/13 11:10 PM
2

I am not worried about it, i just want conclusive proof one way or the other if it is a valid factor, if not then good, if yes then we have to re-evaluate our position, i have yet to see any research on the matter which was not funded by Feminists with an Agenda to have certain results presented, hence there is a need for a neutral investigation into the issue before we can start shooting off certainties.
/r/MensRights29/03/13 11:02 PM
2

Ahhh Sigi the Sarcasm argument, i remember when i managed to get a Feminist to say these things dead seriously to your face and you still thought it was satire.

Harass has strong connotations, she is a Sexist and a Racist her actions ended in consequence as they should, not that she has been fired. All we have to do now is convince the mainstream media that such was the right thing to do, instead of them positing her as the victim in all this.

See i fall on the opposite spectrum, i believe the reason rape is see as "Oh so horrific" is because people (mostly Feminists) have Embellished and attempted to make it out as far worse than it actually is, which creates a horrible societal effect where you are constantly hammered with "Rape is the worst thing that could happen to you" so if/when you are actually raped you feel WORSE about it than you would have, and this hyping over how destructive it is has a negative effect on society as a wh…

Some cunt throws false shit at me, which means i have to fight a legal battle to prove innocence, why would i a person who already has to fight a broken legal system do something which is illegal and is imprisonable? because even if i wasn't innocent, i just made myself guilty.

Congratulations, your an asshole, we are defending the legal rights of all individuals, you on the other hand are claiming that rapists should not be treated as humans, which belies your belief (incredibly stupid as it may be) that Rape is somehow the worst crime imaginable, it's not get over it.
/r/MensRights14/03/13 10:42 PM

That doesn't matter, their rights do not go out the window as a result.
/r/MensRights14/03/13 10:41 PM

It does matter how clear cut it is, we must observe the rights of individuals in such cases until the courts have spoken on the issue.

To be honest i see myself as more of a socialist, i just want to make the world a better place, to be blunt though i think the way that communism has been co-opted and bastardized by every victim movement since the 50's has ruined the majority of our own supporters who belong in one of those ridiculous camps.

If you don't attack them then you aren't doing your job, you cannot just let Feminists be, they are a rot on modern society that must be consigned to the intellectual garbage heap of history the same with the Eugenicists.

I got banned from Communism for arguing that Feminism is inherently oppressive as it attempts to distract attention from the wider problem of class conflict into the manufactured world of gender conflict.
/r/MensRights07/03/13 07:44 PM

Autocratic banning of persons from speaking is different from a democratic election process. You complain not enough Women are in power, yet Women are the single largest voting bloc, you hold the MAJORITY of power, you just don't use it then bitch and moan.
/r/MensRights05/03/13 07:53 PM

Hahahahhahaha No, we tried that for years, for decades where is the progress? the largest Feminist organisations in the world are still against us, so why should we talk? people who view Feminism as equality and women's empowerment are delusional and we should not support their continued delusions we should grab them by the shoulders and shake them into the reality of the situation.
/r/MensRights05/03/13 07:39 PM
1

It's often the same with women's issues. Go look up government panels on stuff like abortion, very often its dominated by men. I'm not saying that discussion of male issues dominates the discourse, I'm saying that men dominate the discourse of stuff, in general. Elect more women, they are 51% of Voters afterall, if you don't have enough women in government you have nobody to blame other than yourselves.
/r/MensRights05/03/13 07:38 PM
-1

We need to knock Feminism down a peg or two as a movement, that means a significant reduction in the power they exert compared to us, and since dominance of a scientific field is zero-sum it means that they have to lose credibility for us to gain credibility, which means if we want to have our voices heard, we have to silence theirs just a little.
/r/MensRights05/03/13 07:26 PM

Whats provocative about hosting events in an academic setting, the fact that they would possibly describe Male Rights orientated discussions as 'Provocative' is enough Gas to start a fire in many hearts.

In this case i'd argue that poking a hornet's nest is a good idea, eventually they'll sting you and prove the point that they are dangerous, violent thugs who are wholly undeserving of mainstream political recognition.
/r/MensRights05/03/13 07:20 PM

You know i used to do the same, guess what happened to me? I was banned to appease the community because my continued pointing out of their inaccuracies and fallacies annoyed them. As a group? No. Because the KKK or Neo-nazis aren't an opposing group to us as a movement and is a poor analogy. I meant in generally, how many times did the civil rights groups sit down with the KKK And try to talk things out? how many times did the jews sit down with the Neo-Nazi's and try to mend bridges, my point …
/r/MensRights05/03/13 07:19 PM

Oh we can do that too, but i just remember the amazing hospitality the UofT community showed us last time and think we should repay them with many more opportunities to showcase their bigotry.

You don't own society, I'm allowed to comment on how it works. You are allowed to comment on how you see it, not on how it is, because you have no way of knowing that your experience matches mine. Which is... sort of what I meant, but again, outside the gender equality discourse, it's a different story. Hardly, even in the political, when was the last time you saw a huge news story on "Men's Issues"? now don't get me wrong, i appreciate that as a man i'm viewed as mature enough to not be bought …

I mean this purely in jest. my sentiment is this, if person A is grandstanding about being a strong independent woman who doesn't need no man, but yet at the same time cannot either A) find someone to design a halfway decent flier or B) Design one themselves, then said person is an idiot.

Rape (1) If a person (“A”), with A's penis— (a) without another person (“B”) consenting, and (b) without any reasonable belief that B consents, penetrates to any extent, either intending to do so or reckless as to whether there is penetration, the vagina, anus or mouth of B then A commits an offence, to be known as the offence of rape. Does it though? Men can be raped, but ONLY men can be rapists.

I'll admit in some incredibly rare cases infant circumcision is warranted, however it's impossible to get a proper diagnosis or require that said circumcision be performed in the first days of a childs life.
/r/MensRights30/01/13 06:38 PM
1

How are they more dangerous? 5 bullet Magazine, compared to 20 bullet Magazine, thats the difference in danger. It's the potential to kill more people before having to reload, during which period you can either be attacked, or allow seconds for people to escape from you. Self defense meaning "shooting people". Preferably with the intention of not killing them. So you've admitted they are inferior weapons for murdering other human beings. Why then should they be banned? Assault weapons are SUPERI…
/r/MensRights30/01/13 06:27 PM
1

Because in all cases a pistol makes a better self-defense weapon, and a Hunting Shotgun/Rifle is better for hunting, the only two justifiable civilian gun uses, for neither of those do you need a Semi-automatic 20 round rifle. Arguably a weapon of such type has no use to a civilian other than for shooting other people and thats why i object to civilian ownership, a limited ammunition capacity rifle or shotgun is best for hunting, and a pistol is best for self-defense.
/r/MensRights30/01/13 06:13 PM
3

Infant circumcision is NEVER needed, because guess what? you can't even properly diagnose Phimosis until the early teens.
/r/MensRights30/01/13 06:11 PM
6

Fine, let him suffer till he's 18. Suffer what? i'm an intact male of 21 years, and my foreskin has never given me difficulty except in ONE area, my parents trying to retract it when i was young, and tearing my frenulum which required minor surgery when i was a teenager. lets postpone all medical decisions till he's of legal age. There is a difference between Medical decisions and purely cosmetic ones.
/r/MensRights30/01/13 06:10 PM

Because there is absolutely no need for such weapons to be in civilian hands, because for any other civilian application there is a better tool available.

/r/MensRights30/01/13 02:33 PM

It could be, but it's still indicative of how much more fighting against infant circumcision we need to do.
/r/MensRights30/01/13 01:51 PM
6

You can't just wait till they're 18, it's too late then. you can for circumcision. o you make a distinction between medical and religious reasons? Human rights to bodily integrity supersede religious rights, it's the reason why those Muslims who do practice FGM, aren't allowed to practice it in the US.
/r/MensRights30/01/13 01:42 PM

Yes, but it indicates a divide, that when a mother tattoos a child it's ok to be critical, when millions of mothers and fathers circumcise their children? nothing but silence..

You won't reduce that power by complaint about the, here. Arguably nothing we do here will change anything, get out on the street and start canvassing. You'll reduce that power by coming up with an effective way to communicate why the way we're being treated is unfair. That won't reduce their power, it will only create a larger mountain of ignored material because they control the discourse. That's what they do. Bullshit Feminism is all style no substance.

Ok, so you don't want forced abortions, you just think they should go to prison if they don't get an abortion. Pretty much, getting pregnant in the military and avoiding service as a result is on the same level as shooting oneself in the leg to avoid service. That was sarcasm, you're an awful person. Reiterating my belief that you my sir are a towel.

Forced abortions are disgusting. This is disgusting. You are a disgusting person. Fuck you. I never said forced abortions, i gave a choice between Abortion and continued service, or non-abortion and punishment and probably a dishonourable discharge, for the situation to be anything else it would involve changing the goalposts. This never happened. It drips from every one of your posts.

You said that women should go to prison for getting pregnant. You backed up this point. You still haven't recanted. You piece of shit. They should suffer the same punishment a male soldier does if they intentionally make themselves incapable of duty, proving intent falls to a military court and to whether they decided to get an abortion or not, it's not up to me to render judgement. Good point dog, I guess pointing out misogyny the real misogyny. Actually i am arguing that your constant attempts…

I'm not moving goalposts, i'm refining a vague idea so that i can be very specific for nitpickers who try to find any excuse to call misogyny (which is odd considering the level of misogyny from you)

Seriously have you ever tried to empathize What is there to Empathize over, women have 100% reproductive control, Woman gets pregnant while on duty and doesn't get an abortion, it is wilful and it is by choice that she strays from her duty. Oh, the old "it's not misogyny if women really are terrible" bullshit. No it's Human, and If like Feminists say "Women are people too" then being a person means doing horrible things, because if a person can do it, then i guarantee you that at some point in t…

the misogyny is the belief that women generally plan to get pregnant as a weapon or an excuse not to do shit I never said generally, i merely stated the possibility, to indicate that women are so perfect that they are incapable of using their biology for their own gains? Thats misogyny, to pedestalise them is Misogyny, all i state is that within the heart of women as in Men there is the chance for evility. the gap in logic is where you go from "woman gets pregnant" to "woman intentionally got pr…

Outline where it doesn't make sense i'll lay it out for you If Male deliberately debilitates themselves before a deployment, they are punished through the military, one of the possible punishments is Imprisonment. If a Woman Deliberately debilitates themselves before a deployment, they are punished through the military, one of the possible punishments is imprisonment. Every year 11% of Deployments are missed by Females due to unintentional pregnancies (Although whether they are unintentional is …

I'm still missing the part where it's Misogyny to treat men and women the same, your issue is with pregnancy, well pregnancy is a choice if you choose it, it is the same a choosing to injure yourself to avoid duty, which in my mind should lead to the same punishments which are levelled at men, then again why do i bother arguing with one such as you?
/r/MensRights27/01/13 01:58 AM

I'm seeing the accusation but i'm not seeing the proof, or the lack of logic, pray tell what else explains this fact? women wanting to take time off to start a family? your in the military and this 11% is specifically unintentional pregnancy, i'm actually waiting (nay hoping) that you expose your misandric side and say that all unintentional pregnancies in the military are due to rape, because that would be fucking delicious.

A universe where it is an Empirical fact that 11% of women meant to be deployed each year miss their deployment due to pregnancy, these are professional soldiers so clearly they are either doing it on purpose to avoid service or are stupid.

Women who it can be proven to have gotten pregnant for the express purpose of avoiding a deployment should be treated the same way as male soldiers who self-inflict injuries to avoid deployment, if thats misogynistic, well fuck. Ok I can agree with a declaration of intent so long as men have the same requirement if they want to claim the paternity leave for officers we agreed upon earlier. I think that's implied in your statement but I wanted to clarify. Agreed. I understand that having front line commanders go on pregnancy leave would be a huge problem but if by rotating you out of critical roles you mean removing them from the promotion line-up I would have a problem with that. If you include men going on paternity le…

Getting pregnant is not the easiest thing in the world to plan. Personally, i'd support a "Declaration of Intent" to be delivered to your superior stating your intent to start a family, this would allow for accomodations to be made in the long term, such as rotating you out of critical roles. I'm sure as fuck pro-choice but I don't think the choice presented to women who truly do have accidental pregnancys should be "abortion or discharge." I disagree, you have options, and while neither may be …

Well here is the thing, i have no problem whatsoever with people planning and having families in the military, as long as officers are informed in advance and leave can be planned, what i will not tolerate however is female soldiers "Oops'ing" a pregnancy just before deployment to avoid service, which is unacceptable and unprofessional and puts other people in the unit under additional stress putting them in danger on the frontline, as far as i'm concern all female soldiers should be on birth-co…

Biology is a bitch, however there is also the disconnect that a male soldier getting someone pregnant WONT prevent him for doing his job, the opposite is patently untrue and thus if women want to serve like men, they must stop using Pregnancies to avoid service, it's already a problem with many women in the military "Oops Pregnant"'ing their way out of doing their job.
/r/MensRights25/01/13 02:06 PM

My position is that any women who gets "Oops Pregnant" just before a deployment should suffer the same punishments a male trooper shooting himself in the leg to avoid service would suffer, most likely prison, feel free to have kids and a family on your own time, but no dodging your deployments.

I'd disagree, i would indicate that there are many similarities between Feminist theory and the Theories held by Totalitarian regimes, Patriarchy theory for example exhibits the same jealous and scapegoating which the Nazi's used to demonise the Jews.

Godwin's law applies especially to inappropriate, inordinate, or hyperbolic comparisons of other situations (or one's opponent) with Nazis. The law and its corollaries would not apply to discussions covering known mainstays of Nazi Germany such as genocide, eugenics or racial superiority, nor, more debatably, to a discussion of other totalitarian regimes or ideologies, if that was the explicit topic of conversation, since a Nazi comparison in those circumstances may be appropriate, in effect com…

Yes, but that doesn't address the comparison which was made, that the Nazi's included both the Evil (Minority) and the Ignorant (Majority) and that the ignorance of the majority to the Evility of the minority does not in any way absolve themselves of responsibility for supporting the horrific actions of the minority.

You brits have been saying that for generations. There's a reason the opinion hasn't been all that contagious. It might have something to do with the reason it was written, in the first place. Our unwritten constitution gives us far greater autonomy of state. And don't go all chest-beating and patriotic on me, keeping a hold of you wasn't economical for us anyway. Does Britain have a lower crime rate than was cited? Gun crime accounts for roughly 0.2% of all crime committed in Britain, that incl…

It takes a lot to amend the constitution, and there's good reason for that. Doing so in this case is unlikely, because there would be no valid purpose in it. You Americans hold that tattered rag in too high a regard for your own good. You're pitting theory against real numbers. Britain has a higher per capita rate than the U.S., as explained in the video. Gun laws haven't changed that rate - they've merely changed how it's being achieved. In other words, you've got a feel-good non-solution, and …

You aren't asking me to take Alex jones OR piers morgan seriously are you? You can own a shotgun in England pretty easily, but very few people do - but I think it illustrates that the difference between America and England in regards to guns is not the law but the culture. it's a mixture of both, you can't do much in the way of a shooting spree with a hunting shotgun compared to a handgun.

Compare percentage gun crime levels in the UK to America, availability of weapons is a factor.

Well let's not forget that a lot of women did work really hard on the homefront of the war effort. and also remember that in WW1 (atleast i know for certain in WW1) safety standards in factories IMPROVED while women were working in them due to the public backlash at how many were being injured.

Yet when I see a movement like men's rights attempting to speak for all men, it falls into its own trap the same way feminism does, by speaking for the rights and experiences of white women instead of women universally. So when is men's rights going to address issues that face men of color instead of pretending for so long like feminism that the vanguard of the movement should be about white, upper class women? Speak up, and make yourself heard, we won't try to stop you, heck we'll even give you…

Sorry to tell you pal, but circumcision isn't a Christian practice, circumcision was introduced to modern US culture through Harvey Kellogg (The cereal guy) who thought that circumcision would curb masturbation which was believed at the time to cause madness.
/r/MensRights24/12/12 03:47 AM
2

thats not my point of contention, i ask you how and why it was adopted as a practice in north America.
/r/MensRights24/12/12 03:39 AM

Yes but consider this, how did circumcision get introduced to US culture and for what reason.
/r/MensRights24/12/12 03:35 AM

We are the norm you are not, deal with it, we are the majority you are not, deal with it, i mean if you want to be circumcised more power to you, CHOOSE it at 18 instead of having it forced upon you when you can't choose yourself.
/r/MensRights24/12/12 03:25 AM

Still, i want the Pro-circ crowd out of the MRM, because the two positions are incompatible, you cannot be pro-circ and an MRA im sorry but thats how i think about it.

No he argues that it 'CAN' lead to those things, and that for the safety of THOSE WHICH IT DOES AFFECT IN THAT WAY WE SHOULD NOT ALLOW PARENTS TO MAKE THE CHOICE FOR THEM SO HOW ABOUT THIS FOR OUR FUTURE SONS THEY CAN GROW UP TO 18 AND DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES HOW ABOUT THAT? WHY DO YOU HAVE SUCH A VESTED INTEREST IN NOT GIVING YOUR SONS THE CHOICE OF WHAT THEY DO WITH THEIR PENISES, THE ONLY REASON YOU WANT OTHERS TO BE CIRCUMCISED IS TO NORMALISE YOUR OWN MUTILATION SO YOU DONT FEEL BAD ABOUT IT.

Type 1 or Type 1a are the most common forms of FGM, i say type 1 because i cannot find figures to show whether type 1a or 1b is practiced more often, but Type 1 as a category is the most common.

Hey if you enjoy it, well thats good for you, what we are concerned about is the removal of choice, because even though there are lots of men who are happy they were circumcised as kids, there are many more who aren't and those who aren't we need to protect.

In the majority of countries that have included questions regarding type of FGM/C, excision of the prepuce (Type 1) is found to be the most common. Only in Burkina Faso is excision of the clitoris (Type 2) found to be most frequent. No numbers for you (sorry) but if i spot any i'll get in touch but the above quote is from a Unicef report from 2005, source here http://www.unicef.org/publications/files/FGM-C_final_10_October.pdf
/r/MensRights22/12/12 01:08 AM

Well consider yourself lucky, because the majority of circumcised men lose it. Also i would like to point out that clitorodectomy isn't the most common form of FGM, removal of the clitoral hood is.
/r/MensRights22/12/12 12:55 AM

I disagree, as the Frenulum of the penis contains more nerve endings than the clitoris.
/r/MensRights21/12/12 11:26 PM

You lost your frenulum it is analogous to the clitoris, plus circumcised women can orgasm and find sex pleasurable

Well it's not a wholesale islamic practice, it's in the same way that some christian beliefs are not found in the bible but have been introduced through other sources, in the same way many Muslims do not follow or even interpret the hadiths which others interpret as supporting FGM.
/r/MensRights21/12/12 03:15 PM

It's an ideology. Whether flawed or not, whether it contains people who hate or not, it is not a hate group. It seems exactly like what you said.
/r/MensRights20/12/12 12:19 AM

So you are saying that Nazism isn't a hate group, but Nazi's as a group are? ok, well in that same vein, Feminism isn't a hate group, Feminists are.

That wasn't the point i'm making, i was replying as counter to Nemoshero's assertion that Ideologies cannot be hate groups, whereas the foundations of Nazi Ideology are in hate, thus either Nazi's aren't a hate group, or Ideologies CAN be hate groups.

Pakistan cannot publically allow the world to think it gains or approves of the US breaching it's sovereignty and bombing civilian targets, so it protests in regards to a high civilian casualty rate so that it can be popular with it's own people by denouncing the attacks.

I mean situations where it's quite likely that someone has raped someone else, but there is no concrete evidence to PROVE it beyond doubt, and in those situations we must side with the accused and not the accuser.
/r/MensRights16/12/12 07:18 PM

Because both sides have a vested interest in fluffing the stats, plus neither side has reliable on-site information collection methods in the immediate aftermath of an attack, thus both are making estimations.
/r/MensRights16/12/12 07:17 PM
7

Lets be honest here, what happened to her was a mistake, BUT at the same time, most false accusers aren't even prosecuted, there is no trial, no attempt to prove guilt, so i must at the same time say that we need to be harsher in our pursuit of false accusers.

I always argue the opposite, that being raped is superior to death, because life has potential and death does not, many rape victims go on to live happy and productive lives, it's insulting to think they are all reduced to complete wrecks incapable of having a life, whereas the dead? they are dead, there is nothing for them, they have been robbed of all potential.

/r/MensRights16/12/12 12:54 AM

Well what i'm saying is that having looked at the statistics from either side, one claims very low civilian casualties, one claims high civilian casualties the point being that we cannot determine how many innocent men are dying because neither side here is providing accurate statistics regarding the amount of people dying in drone strikes.

I also fight for 'Men' as a group but we need to create the atmosphere and message that lets people know that when we fight against false rape accusations, Black and Hispanic men are the two groups most likely to suffer less oppression as a result, that when we fight for gender neutral domestic violence advocacy that we help the LGBT Community almost as much as we help straight men, i mean look at every one of our issues, and you'll soon realise that Straight white men are the group LEAST affect…

You've also got to consider that in prison, well sometimes rape is used as corrective, there have been cases where guards reassign problem prisoners or pedophiles or other prisoners whose crimes are distasteful to deliberately share cells with other prisoners who are known to rape as a form of retribution, also consider the societal attitude how many times have you heard a male prison rape joke? i'm betting it's quite often, it's almost as-if male/male prison rape is seen as PART of being a pris…

The fact that being killed is an end, is why it is worse, with rape victims they still have the potential for happiness and an enjoyable life, with death there is no potential you cease, you are deprived of all potential, which makes in my eyes murderers worse than rapists.
/r/MensRights05/12/12 12:52 PM

Exactly. The chance of a Swiss conscript seeing action is nil. American soldiers have been put into every petty conflict since WW2. It's still reprehensible to hold their entire male population as disposable chattel in the event someone does.

/r/MensRights03/12/12 03:53 PM

Bro, relax we got this.
/r/MensRights03/12/12 12:21 AM

/r/MensRights03/12/12 12:16 AM

I'm not complaining about it, i'm complaining that it's not recognised as rape.

OH THE HUMANITY!
/r/MensRights01/12/12 10:44 PM

Ah apologies, i thought you were perhaps trying to read it as consensual, but you are right, i just think that we need to focus in on these issues.
/r/MensRights01/12/12 10:42 PM

But it was rape, thats the point the point that it blipped so little on the radar that nobody noticed, that says something about our attitudes to male rape.
/r/MensRights01/12/12 10:38 PM

It was in my circle of friends, we were all kinda well honestly quite disturbed by the whole thing.

/r/MensRights01/12/12 08:37 PM

/r/MensRights01/12/12 08:14 PM

It's also in my biology to cave your head in with a rock if you have something i want, not all biological impulses are exactly useful, nor healthy nor right.
/r/MensRights01/12/12 08:12 PM

Firstly your an ass for thinking that paying for things is biological, and firstly we are ok if you choose to do such things, we merely tackle the idea that such things should be expected.
/r/MensRights01/12/12 12:59 AM

I am, what of it? but no i've had Feminists say that masculinity is oppressive, that masculinity is violent, and that masculinity should be replaced wherever possible with femininity.

Call it Verstehen making her walk a mile in our boots.
/r/MensRights30/11/12 01:10 AM

/r/MensRights29/11/12 02:37 AM

You always frame this as women, i frame this as "Tell people not to drink to excess because it reduces their chances of protecting themselves should someone with a predisposition to criminality decide to make them a victim"
/r/MensRights29/11/12 02:37 AM

Yes but you cannot deny that not being drunk does have a positive effect on being able to defend yourself and escape from an attack.
/r/MensRights29/11/12 02:32 AM
2

That seems awfully big headed of you.
/r/MensRights29/11/12 02:29 AM

No Sigi thats your opinion of it, i've had numerous Feminists say otherwise, please back off and stop trying to tell us we can't have an opinion on your pet issue.

/r/MensRights29/11/12 01:14 AM

Also our police if they accidentally murder someone are unlikely to face criminal proceedings themselves, it's been years since several incidents and everyone drags their heels on it.
/r/MensRights29/11/12 12:12 AM

Yes which makes you think they'd stop taking stupid risks on such procedures.
/r/MensRights29/11/12 12:04 AM

So happy I skipped school mandated sex-ed and talked with real people about the subject
/r/MensRights28/11/12 08:29 PM

Feminism is the creation of the capitalist class to divide the unity of the workers, the fact that these muppets have been taken in shows how terrible they are at being a commie.
/r/MensRights28/11/12 12:08 PM
1

If someone chooses inequality for themselves, it is likely that they are on some basis encouraged to do so. I don't think it's necessarily right just because someone chooses it (although I would never force someone into another choice). I simply think that the social factors which encourage women to make decisions which decrease their fiscal worth aren't necessarily positive, and that they ought to be examined. we must also examine why men make choices for more financial gain but less emotional …
/r/MensRights28/11/12 05:01 AM

I don't even.
/r/MensRights28/11/12 01:17 AM

But will you not, for the purpose of open and honest communication, agree with me (and Judith Butler) on a DEFINITION, so that from there we may move forward and talk about something interesting? I'm putting forth ideas, so I define terms. If you take issue with my jargon, fine. If you offer an alternate word to suit my definition of patriarchy, I'll accept it wholeheartedly. I'm sick of bickering over semantics endlessly. If you want to play those games, go read some Derrida. Fine i will accept…

Women working the same job you do making less money deserve appropriate compensation Account for other factors, seniority, overtime, negotiation of salaries, there is an element of choice that on average women will make choices which lessen her earning potential, you cannot blame men for that or say we need to 'fix' it when someone chooses inequality for themselves.

That's one definition of patriarchy, sure. Another is: the structure within culture which perpetuates gender-based discrimination and division. And Feminism really is what allowed them to get into education. Not really, there were women who lead their fields at universities (including the STEM fields) since before women could vote in my country, Feminism isn't what gets women educated, Feminism created a bloated field of Gender studies which swallows female students who emerge from university with little to actually add to the world, they aren't useful like Engineers or even Historians, all a gender studies student can do is peddle more…

Post-modern feminist thought (not the pop-fem bullshit most encounter daily) evolved through many other avenues before coalescing into its disjointed and inconsistent current self. It's still circumcision which should be illegal, as the child cannot consent to it, it's still a human rights violation and thus it must be counted in our statistics, also some sources indicate that adult circumcisions are riskier than infant ones although those may be in the pro-infant circ camp.

Oops i dungoofed my stats, the UK 15% stat is lifetime, since in an earlier age 50's 60's circumcision was more common amongst newborns than it is now, thus we've still got a population of circumcised men from that period who haven't died yet, then we've got our Jewish and Islamic communities who amount to a couple of % and those who just get it done for the hell of it.

Because i recognise the reality of the situation, not even in 100 years can we achieve a society of complete non-violence, but can we great a society which views the violence of each gender as equal? we could knock that out in a decade. This isn't being spiteful this is just not committing to a path of action which is impossible, and that occasionally women have to lose out in order for equality, we can't always have everyone win.
