This is good to point out. You know who really DGAF? bums and homeless. If you truly DGAF on a date, you will blow your nose on the tablecloth, forget to brush your teeth, etc. I got derailed as a younger person by misinterpreting zen philosophies as not caring at all. Not being outcome dependent is quite different.

Are we just going to gloss over the "live in a MMA gym, and no one knows" ? I need to know more about this living situation ! ! !

It baffles me how many people dis keto to me, when they are 20, 30 pounds or more overweight. Or give me shit for having a few cheat carbs here and there. Um, I am at my target weight, I can eat half a tortilla ! !

Are you having any success sending unsolicited cold emails to busy executives? Put yourself in their shoes, do you stop your day of running a multi-million dollar org to read a random email? I think that's why you have cognitive dissonance, because you know you're spamming these people. Study networking and warm calls

You took a cheap shot and got a cheap shot. Sounds even, I say leave it alone.

What a topic, we need a support group, MMM: Men Married to the Molested. I don't have any answers; just wanted to post to say I'm right there with you, hang tough.

Also the portion about negotiating a new gig, and then taking that back to your existing job. Big mine field to negotiate there, and you may end up with a temporary raise at work, while your name is quietly added to the naughty list for them to replace you ASAP.

South USA version: 'If Momma ain't happy, ain't no one happy' So cringe worthy, but true for way too many men.

It's totally shaken on last minute like a redneck throws ketchup on a fine steak. I just read the latest Star Wars novella, and out of the blue, one character reveals he doesn't like women. No plot advancement or real context, just sprinkle on some gay.

I watch ESPN mainly so I can have conversations with other guys I work with/ guy friends. I honestly don't care which club carried the ball farther or threw it through the hole more times, but around here, sports illiteracy is tantamount to communism or buggery.

Man, I think that is just called every woman, ever. Unless you suspect her of some nefarious dealings while she is out, I would just enjoy the time with the kids, they will be grown and gone soon.

I would never advocate letting someone slap you, but this kid will be very lucky to get out of this with just an administrative punishment. Dumping someone on their head is a good way to cause brain damage, spinal cord injuries, etc. I think he would have been better off with an open hand slap that would have stopped her advances, with little chance of permanent damage.

Nice write up. I don't think there is a worse limbo than being massively unhappy, but waiting for the kids to graduate. I'm still trying to figure it out myself.

I recommend the movie, "Indecent Proposal". Demi Moore's character owes Robert Redford sex, but the way he makes her want it is inspiring. Good luck!

Much better article. Summary: as he was holding his phone, snapping the photo, he remarked to some nearby kids, "hey I'm sending this to my 16yo" or similar. Mom thinks he took a front facing photo (of her kids), to send to someone. Mom freaks out and gets authorities plus social media involved. Turns out it was a selfie, and he was just talking to the kids out of friendliness or maybe embarrassment to be caught doing something "silly." This is the perfect article for a MRA discussion. Ironicall…

My opinions only: RP is divided between: 1)Being the man 2)Demanding the respect that being the man deserves. There is never a bad time for #1. Become the best man you can be. 2 is probably poor timing for your marriage. Your wife needs you to be strong but not demanding right now. Don't get upset at her outbursts, just let her know you are there for her during this time, and will be there after.

That's a great point. Patience with ourselves -- can't unlearn decades of untruth overnight.

I am in about the same position you are in. The way I look at it, if a toddler falls down, the best thing to do is bounce up and try again, not sit in the floor crying. I'm just trying to take time to reflect on what went wrong, what were the triggers, and how to handle things better. It's like working out, (healthy, non-injury) pain is a sign you are on the right track.
