It's bad for everyone. Red Pill is Red Pill and it isn't my place to change it. However, I think if it incorporated some sympathy for women it would be more complete and compelling. I don't mean watering down the message, becoming Tradcon, or white knighting. I mean recognizing that modern mores have screwed over almost as many women as men.

Think about how you want to spin it. At only three months, you might be better off pretending you were just unemployed during that time. See if your applications require EVERY prior job or just what you want to include. If it is up to you, you can leave it out. You're right from an strength perspective. You are also right from an aesthetic perspective if the person has the will to cut eventually. I see a number of guys who get strong but have never lost the bulk. Frankly, I wouldn't feel good carrying any more fat than I already have on me.

I oversimplified things a bit. I deadlift and squat on separate days from each other. I also only do barbell bench once a week. Effectively, only two of my days are true full body and the other two or three are upper body. My main advice is against doing very specific splits like chest day, bicep day, etc. I have had problems with my grip but I do deadlift double overhand so that may be part of it. I don't know if she backpedaled. She may not have found me attractive even if I did things perfectly. I thought I was doing well to say that we should go on a date. Push-ups are hard if you are heavy and out of shape. Not only are they a pushing exercise, they require core strength. You can make them easier by keeping your feet lower than your hands. For example, put your hands up a stair or two on a staircase. You can also put your knees down instead. You could work on the pushing and core parts separately by doing light bench presses and planks.

Do pull-ups and rows. They will strengthen your back, pull your shoulders back, and lessen the arch in your neck. Do some but fewer dips, overhead presses, and push-ups to balance. Core work is also good. Do planks and holds. Be conscious of your posture at work.

I found their discussion to be extreme, especially for a public setting. I would have expected some reason at the very least; "he drinks too much", "he is emotionally abusive", etc. There were no pretexts or rationalizations. It was like hearing people discuss selling an old car. I am used to women being warmer or at least more emotional.
