If you silently stop buying products, it really doesn't have much of an effect. A proper boycott lets them know, demands actions be taken (firing the person who approved the ad, and an apology), and has a lot of people behind it. MRAs really don't have the kind of network and solidarity necessary to start an old fashioned boycott. We need to pick one target, run it to the ground, get victory, and then move onto the next one.

What? Nestle products are much more expensive than comparable products, and often of much lower quality too. Their DiGiorno brand is expensive and tastes awful, for example. And they, you know, murder babies in the third world by promoting their baby formula over breast milk despite often contaminated water supplies.

The crybaby throwing a tantrum and calling names over and over is calling me an asshole. Oh no. Because you are such a dimwitted fucktard, I will quote to you what the sidebar says Just because it's not a rule doesn't mean you shouldn't self-moderate yourself. It's not a rule because this sub respects free speech like your ability to be a whiny little child and spew vitriol until you're blue in the face. So you're going to keep doing what you do, and I'll keep downvoting you when I see you shill…

I fail to see the distinction between the two. You shouldn't be sending traffic to a feminist site on a sub that is opposed to feminism. I find it amusing how angry you are. I could have downvoted and said nothing and you wouldn't be so fumingly irrational. You're mad because I told you a way in which you could get upvotes instead.

There are none, not in the west. Women have every right that men do and so much more. They can marry who they choose, they can own property, they can vote and hold office, they can drive and own guns, they get equal pay, rape (of females*) is prosecuted as a crime as serious as murder, they are not discriminated against in any way, and get lots and lots of special treatment and privileges. No one is trying to roll back those rights and so feminists are forced to lie and fabricate causes in order…

Fun Fact: Rape culture was coined to refer to the epidemic of prison rape in this country that society actually DOES overtly approve of. Jokes about women getting raped would not normally draw a laugh from a crowd, but jokes about men getting raped do. There is a social, political, and legal rape culture in this country that is happening every day and no one in this rape culture country gives two shits about it. And while we're on the subject, why do felons get systematically disenfranchised and…

Mens' Rights Advocates espouse equality for both genders. Feminists espouse that the patriarchy holds women in subjugation and therefore women need more power. More power for one gender (necessarily at the expense of the other) is not compatible with equality. Feminists would happily throw down their banner and join MRAs if they wanted equality, but what they want is the subjugation of men. An eternal cry of "more power for women, less power for men, because we're victims." And victims they shal…

"No uterus, no opinion" Men should not have opinions. Speak when you're spoken to, etc etc. "Ovaries before brovaries" Side with women over men, as a matter of principle, even if the man is right. "My vagina my rules" I date subservient sycophants. In my imagination. And all the ones that mention patriarchy or female oppression/inequality which portray men as evil oppressors and ignore the all their female privilege over men.

Namecalling, and besides the point anyway. The facts are that white nationalism does not imply racism. Do you believe that white people exist? I'm betting you do. Do you believe that they have a right to exist? Congratulations you too can be called a racist because you're a white nationalist.

I never even mentioned the United States, or any of the other wild ravings you've been ranting about. You accuse me of arguing like a feminist, while your "go back to stormfront, racist" sign off is identical to saying "shut up shitlord." The end of your previous post was a trainwreck of logical fallacies, not just strawmanning about things I never argued in favor of. Slippery slope, ad hominems, and straight up namecalling. You're so eager to scramble to the moral high ground that you get ahead of yourself. But I don't think somebody who gives his opponent the last word by saying goodbye after namecalling, and then comes back to argue some more gets to pretend to have the moral high ground. To be privileged is to be an oppressor. The two things cannot be separated. The coiner of 'privilege' in the postmodernist perversion of the word said so outright. To benefit from privilege is to be a part of a system of oppression. For men, it means that we oppress women and hold them in subjugation with patriarchy and rape culture and sexism. You say it's a gradient but, you know, I don't think I've ever heard a feminist admit to being female privileged. I'm sure one has somewhere, but it is c…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qk9R3u0r00 I see no differences between white-privilege and male-privilege. Particularly the way that whites and males are silenced based on characteristics of birth beyond their control; they are exactly the same with just a few key words changed.

Mischaracterizing white nationalism as racist is the same as how others mischaracterize MRAs as misogynists. There are racist white nationalists and misogynist MRAs but there are also respectable and courageous academics who speak out against the politically correct expediencies of the now for both. One opposes anti-male bias, the other opposes anti-white bias. White nationalism is the belief that white people ought not vanish from the Earth and become the 'mixture of all races' portrayed in Sou…

Network military theories are a fatal conceit. Drones aren't used against other states that are actively opposing them, they're used against goat herders who have no ability to detect and engage them. Governments ran before global satellite telecommunications and the internet, and they would do so again without them. Using satellites in warfare against actual countries is just begging for intentional kessler syndrome. It's gonna be Jormungand up in here and all the drones will fall out of the sk…

No doubt it's misandristic, and gender flipping is the easiest way to expose bigoted double standards so that line needs to keep being said. On the other hand, if the genders were flipped, it would look like satire. It would show women slaving away with a baby and housework, and then a fresh faced man coming in and patting her head. If it's a man worked to exhaustion, it's comedy gold. If it's a woman, it's serious business victimhood.

This is written from a perspective of a dickwetter, somebody who interested in a lifestyle of women as a source of sex. It does not look beyond that lifestyle. And it has become fashionable to bullshit about it, but I have a condition where I have to call bullshit out. Purity is still and always will be valued by men. It's easy to prove: compare the opposite ends of the spectrum, a virgin and a veteran prostitute, each a 10. Almost all men would prefer to sleep with the virgin. Women who sleep a…

There is absolutely no reason for any man to ever get married, ever. It's amazing to me that the tradition is dying so slowly. How can men be so blind to what a rotten deal it is for them? It should have completely died out in the 70s. With a 50% failure rate it's like flipping a coin where if you win, you get nothing, and if you lose you lose everything from your children to your assets to your future. Yup. It's the only way that's fair and equal to all parties. Men want to raise and care for their children, if the woman isn't sleeping around with other guys and isn't holding the gun of the state up to the father's head, he almost always would help raise the child and it's no different from an opt-out system except that it actually seeks the father's consent in an active way.

Financial abortion should be the assumed default unless otherwise agreed to. If the father cannot be produced within the first trimester she should abort or expect to raise the kid on her own. It's not complicated.

Feminism starts with its assumption that women are in a state of subjugation. From this it follows that men are the oppressors. Right off the bat is is both misogynist and misandrist. Half the population, by virtue of characteristics of birth beyond their control, are forever to be viewed as the enemy. Women, on the other hand, are declared to be so weak that they are permanent victims in subjugation and the only group in history that had equal numbers to their oppressors who were kept in bondag…

That's a good starting point for the thought experiment. I think Fidelbogen is wrong about that 'propagation of the species' shit. There's no going back to the tradcon's utopia - an actual patriarchy where men and women are paired into family units on a more sensible basis than they do now, and then have three kids. Concern trolling. The things you describe have no potential to "ultimately ruin the movement." One Mens' Rights Advocate insulting someone does not reflect in any way, shape, or form on an unrelated MRA. Well the internet sadly does not reflect the situation 'in real life.' The problem is that the feminist voting block is a lot larger than just the 30% of women (or whatever it supposedly is) who call themselves feminists. Any opposition to their agenda is met with the 'war on women' rhetoric. It gives the media some drama to play, so they love it. So even if the MRM was equal to the number of feminists in active voters, feminism would still be winning the war in real life because while they're a…

Gender politics is the same no matter which side you're on. The only difference is that the MRM uses double standards to objectively expose the lack of equality. This is a good thing, because it actually limits what we focus on. Unlike feminism which keeps its 'equality' unlimited and therefore perpetually seeking more power. Those double standard criticisms means that we want "men and women to [be treated] the same." In other words, it keeps us focused on equality and keeps us from overreaching…

The invasion and destruction of male space is not preventable. The crude use of homosexual aspersions on the character of those who participate in male spaces is ancient, but where it is most effective is when wielded by the members themselves against each other. Take for one instance the asshole who calls a male space a 'sausage fest,' implying that all worthy male activities involve the pursuit of sex and that all who disagree are homosexuals. There's no defense. An individual can see these ch…

This is not about individual feminists, and what they say, do, or believe as individuals. That's a nebulous and wishy washy territory of supposedly not-like-that-feminists and "good feminists," and so on. What this is about is the simple fact that: The point of equilibrium remains undefined within feminist theory. Women are presupposed to be in a continued state of oppression by feminist theory. No individual feminist has or ever will have the authority to overturn feminist theory. Therefore, fe…

I went back and read what you were saying again. I was confused about why you said it was a false definition but you're saying you agree. I suppose I can see your point of view if its from a perspective of me having my own issue with phrasing. Being more rhetorical about what feminism is would be less likely to spark opposition, but at the same time it would make it less apparent how hopeless feminist-MRM reconcilliation is. Maximizing the hopelessness of the concept seems most effective, even i…

And how is he 'such a jerk?' Feminism is in direct opposition to mens' rights. The belief that women are held in subjugation (Patriarchy, rape culture, etc), is central to the ideology. While believing these things, feminism feels entitled to ever more power to 'balance it out,' with no actual stated or defined point of equilibrium. People like you are the 'jerks' for pretending that a very real political opposition is some misunderstanding that can be solved with the power of friendship if only…

Over the past week I have seen numerous posts with a lot of support, plus a video by JtO, and I'm sure there's even more that I'm not yet aware of, telling the MRM that feminists aren't the primary enemy. If the defining characteristics of feminism are as I have described them - and they are in direct opposition to and incompatibility with the MRM - then that stops this growing meme in its tracks; at least in the minds of anyone who agrees. If you think it's stupid, fine, let me be stupid. I don…

That isn't the definition It is so. The foregone conclusion of women's subjugation is the defining characteristic of feminism. Whether you agree or not is not important to me. It is the most accurate definition, and not an arbitrary subjective one, but one laid out in Feminist Theory itself. only use it to establish shared semantics As long as you're going to ignore Feminist Theory's core tenants of assuming subjugation for women and the push for increasing womens' power relative to mens', while…

I'm pretty sure homeschooled children aren't getting expelled by their parents. If public schools ever go away, I guarantee you'll see one or both of two things: objective measures of students' academic achievement going down, and more kids who receive little or no education, especially in rural areas. Well, no shit. The United States of America isn't ever going to not have public schools. No industrial nation will. This is such a non sequitur it hurts. But the education system has failed our ch…

Public school is no longer an option for any parent that cares about their children. Public education has failed so completely, and yet alternatives are being crushed at every opportunity despite all the evidence demonstrating their superiority. Homeschooled children test better. Charter schools test better. Single gender schools test better. And all of these are being stomped on. To 'eliminate' them is to ban them. So it's an effort to make schools so hostile to boys that they cannot succeed in…

Feminism is the pursuit of an increase in female power relative to male power. If the MRM is becoming less anti-feminist, then it is becoming more anti-male. There's no two ways about it. The real problem is this push, probably orchestrated from a single source, against anti-feminism. There's a traitor at the levers, somewhere in this movement.

By definition, a feminist believes that women are held in subjugation by men and seeks to increase the power of women relative to men. OP is right with the bolded part. What this means in practical terms is that women will always and perpetually be, in their view, entitled to more power to 'balance things out.' Lately I've seen this push to try to change the message of the MRM to be less anti-feminist. If that's the case then the MRM is abandoning men -- if you're not opposing the perpetual incr…

There is no good feminism. Feminism seeks the increase in the power of women relative to the power of men. Feminism starts with its conclusion that women are in subjugation, and then seeks to support it. Feminism, therefore, will always see itself as in subjugation, as a victim, and as entitled to more power. While feminists could theoretically be good people individually, feminism can never be good. Feminism mechanically cannot support gender equality, because equality is not the goal. Oh, and …

Form a voting bloc that cannot be ignored; a lobbying effort much like feminism has. The way to do that is by posting about gender inequality faced by men. When you see misandry, don't let it slide. Point out that it's misandry, and why it's a real issue. When they laugh, confront them with the pain their laughter is mocking. It's difficult because men lack the gender solidarity that women have, so we'll likely never be able to grow to anywhere near the size of the feminist hate lobby. But if th…

There are countless variants of male disposability and FeSME, et al, by themselves. My post wasn't a criticism of MRM, but of the self-serving pandering article and the lack of awareness in 38 people who upvoted it. There is no problem with groups having grievances. The goals are fundamentally different, though. I have no interest in wetting my dick, whereas that's all PUAs are interested in. I'm happy to be a 'loser,' while to a PUA that's just sour grapes. A PUA has no ability to relate to my goals anymore than I can relate to theirs. It's all fine and well to say we're all trying to get by, but so is everybody. MRM's fear of guilt by association really is embarrassing, but their fear of being associated with the PUAs are the least of the problem. The problem with its fear of Guilt by Association is that it leads to appeasement and a weakening of the message; negotiation with the systematic shame attacks being cultivated by the gender ideologues. I don't think there could be a fourth wave feminism that overturns the established theories of feminism. There are only two strategies. Bargaining and Exiting. Feminism will not give up its core theories through bargaining, which leaves only exiting. Feminism is the 'name-brand' women's rights activism. Where does a differing point of view have to stand? The great masses of women aren't going to be able to sort through all the different 'kinds' of women's activism. Feminism is nebulous and witho…

Oh well. I still do. From the point of view that masculinity is a construct, I see the attempts to dismantle that 'social construct' in almost every single one of these. None really bothered or offended me specifically - but the agenda was not about helping sons - it was about programming them for a feminist agenda in which masculinity was bad. It's "25 rules for mothers of sons." It implies a lot with that title. First off, they're rules that every good feminist mother should be doing to their sons. Second off, it implies that this is a list for mothers and sons when really it's a list for an agenda of 'social construct' annihilation.

It would be quite interesting for women to return to being the sole leisure class that they sprang so discontentedly from in the first place. Then, I wonder, would it go back to being taboo for women to work? Well, we're pretty far off in la-la land right now. What happens if a feminist's wet dream comes true and the 'pay gap' is closed through legislative fiat, with men working 25% longer hours and never taking a day off just to make the same salary as a woman? Not all men can or ever will drop out, so where does this inverse pendulum fall down and settle at? I can't see how that works, but it seems like it's going to happen even on this side of the pond with the destabilization of American politics. The SCOTUS, Se…

I was thinking about this video last night after I went to bed, and the misogyny and antisemitism he brings up. The worst thing is how ashamed he feels of his hate, and how much confusion he is being caused by his post traumatic stress combined with an ignorant and backwards culture. And, just look, his story can't get traction here, so it probably can't get traction anywhere. So the isolation and defeatism that came through in his video will probably only be reinforced. It's really tragic.

Because discrimination against men is a fact, not an opinion that is 'thought' up. You're implying only women can be responsible for discrimination against men. Traditional Conservatism is also an enemy of men's equal Human rights, which is a mostly male phenomenon that heavily dominates Judges and Police. Also, a 50% split in Law Grads, really? That means the other half are female, and being 'slightly' above is what we call 'not statistically significant.'

Yet they're an impotent group because they do not form a voting bloc the way that minority races or religions do. Politics is collective action. MRM has collective thoughts, but for thoughts to be meaningful there must be action. A mind needs a body. I, for one, am checking that Men's Voting Alliance link in the side bar every single day. A lone voice is nothing, a pissed off customer shouting that they'll never come back again when their individual habits will never mean anything to the establishment. Only collective action can bring about change. And I want change.

I don't think people who soak their minds in illogic and hate can still be said to be good people. By what measure are they still good, if they espouse hate and support evil? (As an aside, does anyone know of any hardcore bona fide feminists who actually got their credentials in women's studies and then rejected it later in life? Feminist theory is inherently misandrist because it starts with the conclusion that women are oppressed and subjugated by men, and then works to support this conclusion. Feminism is always bad because of that, but not 'all evil all the time.' Bad people could theoretically do good things, we just don't see feminism working for equality very often. You're speaking in absolutes, which should have raised some red flags in your mind that you were building a strawman.

This is exactly how that other story went. The child was taken away by the state, but then the sister of the mother took custody, and then the mother regained custody from her sister. Then when the rape victim turned 18 the state demanded $23k in back child support plus $450/mo. So far the stories are playing out nearly identically.

The trick of this statistic is using percentages instead of total numbers to conceal how many more men are being murdered per year than women. A larger percentage of women being murdered by an intimate partner suggests that fewer women are dying compared to the massive body count of men being murdered. He is an idiot, but it's much more than a bit lopsided. His rights shouldn't be trampled just because he's a moron.

Go for it. Movements should be purged of its peace policing language censoring commissars on a very frequent basis. I wish your new subreddit the best, and hope to never see it or any of the people in it!

Exactly, and he learned nothing from his experience and got married again. Maybe it shouldn't, but it really kills my sympathy for him. Marriage is just something that one doesn't do any more and he should have learned better. You can't use 'feminism' as a filter because one doesn't have to be an indoctrinated women's studies major to abuse the power that feminism has given you to victimize men.

Well if you want to be pandered to, I'm sure there will be plenty of other people to step up and offer, but I'm not going to play along. You certainly don't have to pander to me, either. But feminism is not an innocent thing. It is an ideology which by its nature seeks to incite hatred of men, promote gender hatred and other divisive identity politics, and seeks ever greater benefits to women at the necessary expense of men. There is no way around it, not even through semantics, because it's all…

It's the only definition of feminism. It is a bigoted and inherently misandrist -- and misogynist -- ideology. You cannot separate the hate from feminism, it is dyed in the wool. Fem + ism The ideology by and for women. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feminist_theory the assumption that women generally experience subordination.

Stop calling yourself a feminist, as it is an ideology that begins with the assumption that women are subordinated by men, and that patriarchy is a system by men and for men, which makes men the enemy. Be consistent in equal rights for all. Flip the gender on everything and ask if it's right. Stop violence against women? Why only women? Help for girls who are trafficked for sex? Why not for the boys also being exploited? Consistency and a rejection of the ideology that begins with its conclusion…

Does anyone think the MRM would have come so far so fast without the help of feminists like this one? I gotta say, these Tumblr Brand Feminists and the invasion of atheism with A+, etc, have got to be the most crippling blows that feminism has ever weathered. They're just burning bridges as fast as they can find them.

Egalitarian - All people in a society have equal rights from birth. Belief in patriarchy is the belief in a system of men for the benefit of men, at the expense of women. A person who believes in such a system must accept at some level that men are the enemy. If you internalize this hatred of men, then the us vs them mindset ensures that you will aim to better yourself at the expense of this enemy, and you cannot be an egalitarian. Belief in any thought system that includes patriarchy theory, th…

From the comments: "Cannot believe Tyler is allowed to perform in our country, what are we allowing???women/girls deserve respect equality…what does this condone????" I kind of chuckled at the incredulity that free speech should be allowed in her country. I like how she calls him Tyler instead of Tyler the creator, too. It kind of gives a sense of first name basis familiarity when I'm willing to bet she never heard of Tyler the Creator until ten seconds before her post. Also, is he still obscure …

I agree it doesn't seem like mothers are spending more time with their children than in the 60s, but without hard numbers to the contrary it's just an appeal to personal incredulity. Either find their source and debunk it, or find a contradictory source of your own. That's the best way to attack the graph.

The ability to force one's self past a female aggressor, mainly. It only requires physical strength and some knowledge of torque. Is your problem one of physical strength, or one of not having any place to go to? To quote you from elsewhere: Push them away and leave. You suggest that such is a defensive strategy for women being harassed, so I assume it's also valid for men who are generally more capable of doing so.
/r/MensRights06/06/13 06:38 AM

Sounds to me like a male only section would be far more useful for keeping people safe. It's hard to say. A man can find very bad trouble heaped on him through no fault of his own, but he has numerous defensive strategies available to him that a woman would not have. But since you don't agree with the premise that men are in general more physically powerful I don't suppose we'll be able to agree.
/r/MensRights06/06/13 05:56 AM

Does it? Holding all other things static, a woman is at a supreme disadvantage against a man. My argument rests on the presumption that men are generally stronger than women. It ignores the social aspects, though, which is where the real problem is. That is to say, when all other things aren't held static. A man attacking a woman will quickly find himself attacked by other men. A woman attacking a man, however, may not incur such immediate social retribution, and a man defending himself might st…

Well, I know what you mean -- if it's just barebones sleeping accommodations, and not a place where men's safety should be considered paramount, then why do women get that special accommodation? I think the thing is that it limits potential aggression from men to other men, and from women to other women based on a very easy dividing line of gender. Theoretically it leaves open the possibility of female aggression against males, but only if a man is unwilling to defend himself. There is the quest…

Is there any youtube channel that does this? There should be. There's no shortage of biased news reports such as these. It would be great to just gender reverse everything. Just read the news, but change the gender of everything. Women and children becomes men and children; man forced to have sex and murdered and some call it rape becomes woman forced to have sex and murdered and some call it rape. Just total deadpan gender flipping of all news. Invariably, thanks to Poe's law, people will start…

Okay, so it's a hostel and there is a women's only room but not a men's only room. Things like this are sort of blurred because supply and demand isn't discriminatory. Presumably if there was high enough demand accommodations for male-only quarters might be available. If the women avail themselves of the women only quarters, that leaves males in their own quarters, in practice. It still leaves room for female invasion, but then again it's a hostel, the thing just above sleeping on the street. I …

Are you saying that the name calling and trolling used by a few under the banner of the MRM doesn't make the entire movement look bad? Now you're getting it. Let me break it down again: that's the MRM being viewed as "guilty" "by association" with "those few." Which is a logical fallacy, which is wrong. Your argument, wrong. Incorrect, is the argument you're making. Fallacious. Defective. Irrational. Broken. Retarded. Incoherent. You. Are. Wrong. I hope that clears up things for you. If not, her…

No, OP is making a guilt by association argument and so are you. That's what I've been saying this whole time because you're using very weird interpretations of words and terms. You use these nebulous phrases like "accepting guilt by association" which could mean one way or the other. OP's argument: You guys stop calling people names, it makes me look bad. Your argument: "Even if nobody outside a debate ever reads it the person who ends up being called names will come to associate that lack of m…

Gandhi never said that line, just so you know. Now, where to start on this behemoth? The main thing, I think, is that you're trying to have your cake and eat it too. You're trying to say that I'm arguing against people being respectful, when I'm clearly arguing against your disingenuous abuse of guilt by association to tell others to be respectful because it makes you look bad. So you're invoking guilt by association while simultaneously admitting it's completely wrong. If you want to "be respec…

'Accept' it? No, I'm making fun of you for rationalizing to yourself why you should be cowwed by it. The only way you should 'accept' it is just by realizing that it's going to be out there no matter how many boots you lick in submission, or on the converse how often you insult people. So having a discussion on guilt by association only makes the person who starts it and all those who entertain it seriously idiots, cowards, and trolls. The more ground you give, the more they'll take. Surrender d…
