Women don't have last names. Even if she chooses to use her mother's maiden name, it's still inherited from her grandfather.

I'm not sure the Spanish double surname is quite the same idea as a hyphenated name in an English speaking country.

Anytime someone "escapes" one of these cults and goes public about some man who "abused" her, the tone is always one that suggests she is doing it to get more attention than the other wives do, or that her husband finally just gave her the ick, more than actual trauma. You don't see nearly as much media attention on the men who have been kicked out to reduce competition, nor are such men as vocal.

I will reserve my doubts that work is an improvement to emotional presence. In any case, I don't want to hear anyone ever again complain that "my whole salary goes to childcare", because the net income is the same as not working and now the child barely knows you because they don't see you during their waking hours.

Yes, which can be a team effort, or you can try and do it by yourself, but the latter option does require you to work, which takes you away from your children, which is measurably bad for their physical and mental health

Freedom to work or not by marrying a man who is financially capable of supporting her decision either way == "financial control!!! oppression!!!" You can't be reasoned with
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/26 07:41 PM

Financial stability is achievable by being picky of men and marrying one who is financially responsible enough to support himself and you, thereby not requiring you to work. Feminism, being founded on the idea that "a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle", won't suggest that idea to you, instead equating jobs == the only source of money. The result is the doubling of the workforce and halving of wages, which is why people now complain both partners have to work; it's by design. I wouldn…

Not a lawyer, don't want to end up in either of those courts, and don't really know the difference. The situation is hypothetical and just an example of what I'm afraid of.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 06:38 PM

Completely agreed, but I think you are being more reasonable than a family court would be.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 06:32 PM

> Listen, here's our budget, we only have X available spending money, we can't afford this expensive item If she does it anyway because math is too hard for her, there is legally very little I can do to clean up the mess. Rinse and repeat until we are both broke. Is this a situation "beyond questioning"?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 06:25 PM

Well, I can't remember the last time I met any woman who wasn't single and sane. I know lots of sane and responsible women who are married or in relationships, and I know a few single women who a few decades ago would have been in the loony bin. If she's reasonable, she's never available, and I haven't seen an exception since at least high school.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 06:21 PM

I think the odds are pretty good she will bring that up in court to make the case that I am "controlling" and "abusive".

/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 06:12 PM

My point is that my dating pool seems to be limited to women who think and act impulsively and are therefore dangerous to me and my potential children. Therefore it is better for me to remain single. Where did I imply that I am forced to marry?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 06:08 PM

I don't believe that all women are stupid or insane, however, I do feel very much that only the stupid or insane ones haven't already married better men than me. I am finally happy being single because the available (!) alternatives are worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 05:54 PM

If my wife is going to be legally my equal, she must non-negotiably be my intellectual equal. If my wife is stupid or insane, I must be legally responsible for her and enabled to protect her from her own impulses. If I am legally barred from second guessing my wife, as I am in any country not governed by Sharia law, then to marry her in the first place is suicidal.

It's median so if you selected a woman at random from the dataset the most likely n-count she'd have is 4, and if a man it'd be 2. The mean (average) is 11 for women and 8 for men meaning somebody in each category probably threw in a humongous number

Germany is a fascinating situation in that they also have a brand new far-left party (BSW) which also took off among under-40s alongside the far right the day it was created. I think more what we're seeing is a rejection of the "way things are" because they aren't working for anyone except the old guard of society. Gender conflict is a factor in this, but it also seems like given no other option, gen Z and millennials will take the far right to shake things up over continuing the horrible status…

And now, you don't know who the creeps are until after you've matched them and done a lot more work only to learn they're psychos. Doesn't sound much easier than setting message filters or just ignoring them but ok

I as a man wasn't getting messages the old way any more than now, but the difference is back then I could be the one decent message in her inbox. I don't think they started out hating women. I think they were taught from a young age, as boys are, that all women are delicate flowers and want to be treated a certain way, and they're jaded that the reality is different. They feel they've been lied to and don't know what to believe anymore -- it's in this state they become inspired by those who do hate women, and feel that those answers are more realistic. Unfortunately, these are the type of men susceptible to propaganda in the first place.

In general, though. Men who ask questions about why they can't find anyone, are told they're not finding anyone because they're these womanizing pigs that you've just described until proven innocent. For all that people especially women talk about how important communication is, does anyone else feel like being honest and not playing mind games turns women off? e.g. they kind of want to just realize they're in a relationship after a while vs figuring out as a couple exactly what they are and what the future is

/r/PurplePillDebate31/07/24 04:36 AM

Honestly that's the issue with everyone. Dating today is reactive and not proactive, just taking what we can get instead of planning for the future. So having a 5 year plan doesn't get us anywhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/24 06:56 PM

I can offer that til the end of time but it doesn't seem to be much advantage, in fact it seems to actively work against me. So I question whether women as a group align with what individual women claim they want.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/24 06:49 PM

I don't see women complaining about not finding relationships any more than I do complaining about not getting sex, so I'm not so sure it's entirely on men.

After years of learning to talk to women, I finally get a date for the first time in years, and all that confidence goes out the window. In retrospect, I think I know why. I've been trained for years, both by society and my own sour grapes attitude, that I'm not allowed to like girls, and when I do I feel like I'm committing a crime. I was careful with what I said, I didn't want to get too deep in conversation, I didn't want to make prolonged eye contact, and it was the same instinct with which …

Bro it's right in big text at the top of your page Although the overall sex ratio for unmarried adults in the United States was about 90 men per 100 women, the 30-to-34 age group had the highest ratio at nearly 121 men to 100 women.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 07:36 PM

Non-age-adjusted yes because geriatric women tend to be widows. In the under-40 bracket there's about a 5% overage of men everywhere except for the most violent hoods where the men are dead in war conditions.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 07:31 PM

There are not enough women in the population for every man to have a wife of his own. Historically nobody noticed this because there would typically be a war removing some percentage of the excess men, but this hasn't happened at least in the west since Vietnam, and for obvious reasons nobody wants to fight another war. There are a couple alternatives. One is so-called "age gap relationships" where men in their 30s marry women in their 20s which are more numerous than those in their 30s...except…

Start going to church, any church. Another trend among Gen Z, recently studied, is that men are flocking there and women aren't. I'd like to think that's a safer environment than just approaching people.

Where are the other people dating? Younger women are barely even in public anymore and I'm not the only man who's noticed. My good looking, socially competent friend went straight to Hinge.

That's more or less what I'm saying. Gen Z only dates through apps. The rest (the majority) aren't dating at all. Too much risk of not just rejection but public shame.

I've noticed immediately, years ago when I briefly signed up for a dating app, there was not even a smidge of commitment-oriented material on these men's profiles. Gen Z, our generation, does not date outside apps, which is why you made no mention of finding men anywhere else. And this is the reason things are so bad. I for one have had it drilled into me for years that women in public (on the rare occasion that I even see one in redneck town) are out and about to take care of business, they are…

The stat is understandably confusing since women quite literally outnumber men in the US. Stopped reading here. This is not controlled for age and there are only more women because men die younger and more people are old than young. 63-34% is specifically for the 18-29 age bracket. In the Pew study, single men still outnumber single women (but not nearly as much) in every single age bracket except the oldest one, where women are widowed. Women can keep their rights by having enough kids to maintain the voting/military power of the feminist bloc against patriarchal groups like Muslims who will continue to breed like rabbits. Again, if Muslims have 4 kids per woman and Westerners use their rights to have 0-1, eventually Muslims will become the majority of the population and vote to take women's rights away. Rights aren't free, they come with a price and responsibility, which most people have forgotten.

It ain't up to me, women are the ones choosing to have kids or not, and they are mostly using their freedom to not have kids. My role in that is ultimately going to be up to women's mate choices, and that's the main reason redpillers are bringing this up: women aren't giving men what they want (relationships and marriage), and in turn women won't get what they want either (stability) because the population pyramid has inverted and will continue to do so and wreak social and economic havoc in the…

I could upgrade from that somewhat for a woman. I eat like that because pleasurable food is the least of my worries. Eating out would be limited though and no doordashing, the latter especially is just pissing away cash.

Let me put it this way. Right now about 55% of my income goes to savings (which includes an IRA) because I skimp out on everything I don't need; I eat rice and beans most of the time, I have a cheap phone on a cheap prepaid plan, I have slow internet, etc. If I marry someone, my rent doesn't increase, my utility bills increase only marginally. I don't have student debt, and I wouldn't marry someone who has too much of it (the only thing I'd have against a degree holding woman). Maybe she brings …

This backs up my claim and you are putting words in my mouth. When women are too busy working to do anything else, they won't do anything else, and men will wonder where the heck they are if they're supposedly 50% of the population. Then these men get told they're condescending and entitled when they ask for help and are given bogus advice which wouldn't keep having to be given if it actually worked.

Firstly, working weekends wasn't as typical back in the day unless you were a teenager, and the pay was higher. So men would go do stuff on the weekend or after work, and women would be there. Men are weary of having to fight by uncivilized, underhanded means for a girlfriend rather than the higher-class competition that once existed in society. This is especially true when friends are involved. I've been doing all the self-improvement stuff, I have even been doing well at making first impressions, but inevitably my friend notices her too and I'm forced to choose between keeping my friend or ruining him in some way to get the girl. With all due respect, no woman is worth that.

/r/PurplePillDebate05/10/23 04:43 PM

In real life, I would argue that women likewise prefer the men with options, whether or not they consciously realize it, and men with options will act like you have described. "This one likes me, who else can I line up?" they are probably thinking. I've only been in this position once in my life, and I looked around on the assumption it was only a matter of time before the current girl lost interest and I needed to find another one to impress.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/23 07:42 PM

I didn't say the restraint comes naturally to me. In the rare event that I do click with a woman, but she has a bf already, I usually leave the conversation politely and cease to have anything to do with her because I don't want those feelings to grow into something painful. I choose the dull ache of hopelessness over the stabbing pain of rejection or competition even if I could win it.

This is what religion and community were for. If a woman was interested in a man, the community would be able to tell her if he was a scumbag, and if he became one later he was accountable to that community who would set him straight or help his family. I don't think you heard about this kind of stuff as much before social media destroyed community. You can still find this in tight knit religious communities, but most people now write that off as nonsense regardless.

In the US all census data is collected in years ending in 0 and data from other years including raw population are calculated on an algorithm from that. There is a hypothesis that this originated around the time humans developed language, which allowed the lesser males to conspire and collectively overpower the "best" males. The other side of that study is that 12th grade girls lean equally liberal. Girls are the limiting factor of population growth. If 2/3 of girls lean liberal and all liberal girls refuse kids (for sake of easy math), then the remaining conservative girls making up 1/3 all need to have at least 6 kids to maintain the population. What's the TFR among just conservatives right now?

There is a correlation (not necessarily meaning causation) between low TFR and women's education levels.

Most adult kids can’t afford to care for their parents, they can’t even afford to start their own family. because their parents kicked them out, insisted they go to college on their own dime, etc, and now they are left with a bunch of bills they didn't need to have instead of saving money because their parents forced them.

This is one of those things like fractional reserve banking where big words mean people think it's more complicated than it really is. Not enough workers > not enough output > luxuries cease to be produced > necessities go away too and people start starving. You cannot have a civilization without a population to run it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/23 10:00 PM

That's a result of kicking the kids out and telling them to use their bootstraps. People who see their children as accessories or accidents instead of investments will get zero return on that investment.

Women do this as a rule. There are exceptions, but it's easier to find a needle in a haystack, so most men will just play "game" to get the hay instead.

Hungary, Russia, and some other countries are straight up offering cash rewards to women who have several children and it hasn't put a dent in their marriage and birth rates.

It was far easier to think about other things during a time when finding a relationship didn't require all of our energy. Today it's so ridiculously hard that it takes all of our time and effort for a scrap of hope and there's nothing left for self-actualization or whatever you're getting at.

I don't know about mandatory, but I understand there's a limit on how late you can do it before the courts will go "too late lol" and make you responsible anyway. That limit should be abolished, it shouldn't matter if the kid is 17.

Conservative women marry before 20 to a man she grew up with and none of this stuff even registers or matters to them. They never were in the dating market and never will be.

Southern California, the parts that aren't open air drug markets, contains some of the snootiest, most materialistic, rudest people maybe even on the planet, even worse than NYC in that department.

America is hit or miss depending on where you go because in addition to diverse population it is also diverse geographically because it is fuckhuge. This means there are urban centers, some of which are better places to be than others, and also massive expanses of absolutely nothing. I live in the latter setting, far away from any major city, and the dating pool is just as deserted as the land. I can't give you a perspective on what dating is actually like in American cities, but the fact that w…

Big cities in America are way more dangerous and NYC in particular has a reputation in America for going down the toilet in the last couple decades, both in shootings, stabbings, and general shittiness. Other cities you don't hear about as much (Chicago, Atlanta, Baltimore et al) because they have always been shit holes and everyone in America knows it. Chicago has all manner of shootings, see heyjackass.com for crime statistics there, it's quite fascinating. TL;DR you're not likely to get shot …

I live in the rural USA where bar culture hasn't really survived the last decade and local bars are almost exclusively over-60s. The last time I went to a mall, too, it was completely empty of people except around the food court, and this was before any virus. Parks and beaches are nonexistent and open markets -- weekends.

I managed recently to reconnect and get a date with a girl I knew when I was about 10. She would take 8 hours or more to respond to my texts. When I finally went out with her, I figured out why: her phone was blowing up with messages faster than she could respond to them.

Even nowadays arranged marriages have half the divorce rate of autonomous marriages.

Arranged marriages, still common in some parts of the world, used to be normal in the West too. In this system if a man wanted a woman, he would have to impress her father. So if the father didn't know who the man was, the man would have to introduce himself and make a good impression, prove his worth, etc. When arranged marriage ceased to exist in the West, men started attempting the same with women who were now making their own decisions. When people live together that is called a "common law marriage" and when she dumps you there is a good chance she will win half of your stuff in divorce proceedings despite never having been "officially" married. Double check your local laws but a lot of states and most of Canada do this. You can claim to not be married but when push comes to shove the court will disagree.

Casual dating is cancerous in itself. If you're not dating for marriage, you're dating for heartbreak. This needs to be posted at every street corner for how many people can't comprehend this.

Date in high school while you still can. Right now you see the same people every day and you can work on wooing someone over a period of time instead of trying to capture someone in the moment. After you graduate, this is no longer true and it becomes a LOT harder to meet anyone, dare I say impossible, because other people will stick with their old friends and you won't be able to break into their friend group. I read somewhere once that male gorillas assert their dominance by strutting around showing off their dicks. There was a hypothesis that said humans have the same behavior, but it would be socially unacceptable as soon as civilization existed, so men resort to drawing dicks instead of whipping it out, and there is such documented penis vandalism going back at least 2000 years
