I've decided to attack my loneliness issue head on and become whatever the hell it is girls want. I've bought trendier clothes, I've trimmed my beard, even thinking about dropping my glasses indoors (transition lenses make neat sunglasses outdoors). I'm ready to go out there and find someone.

And that's great, for about 8 hours a week on Friday and Saturday, when things are happening in this town to go and socialize. The rest of the week it seems like everyone is working, on edge, just wants to go to the store or whatever and get out quickly. I'm self employed and more laid back, and maybe I have more free time to be looking, but I definitely want to fill that free time with social activities I've never been able to accomplish before now.

Where do women hang out on weekdays? Does this world worship education and work so much as to relegate a basic human need, conversation, to certain days of the week?
