See? You see something that you don’t understand or don’t like and you dismiss it as emotion. And then you pass off your own emotional incoherence as “factually correct.” You’re incapable of detached, rational thought.

If you’re expecting me to engage with you, I won’t; nothing I could say would change your mind. You’d continue to believe whatever you wanted and would find counterarguments, no matter how strained, to rebut whatever I offered by way of evidence. You’d jump through your own asshole in order to cling to what is obvious bullshit. I don’t know why this is. Take your fearmongering bullshit elsewhere. I know more than you ever will about India and Indians than you ever will, and I don’t even know that much, but I do know that you’re completely full of shit. I grew up in the area with either the highest or second-highest Indian population in the US, and none of what you’re describing is anything but paranoid racist bullshit. Well, here’s a view from the other side: That sort of law ensures that you can’t just be turned out of your home if your domestic partner is an abusive shithead. My ex was the primary earner, and she was constantly threatening to throw me out. Said she’d call the cops, call the courts, sue me, all manner of shit. I’d moved away from friends and family to live with her, and the idea that, after five years, thousands of dollars, and uncounted hours of sweat equity that I put into that home, I coul…

Some kid shows up with a masters and makes double. Makes you question your loyalty with the company. This is why capitalism is the enemy of free markets, not the guardian. If the company ends up losing critical institutional knowledge because workers share salary information and realize that new hires are paid significantly more than long-term workers, then they would have to adjust their pay scales accordingly, and the price of labor would arrive at a more appropriate level, either up or down. …

Your argument certainly stands on its own, but it’s still ridiculous. My argument stands on its own, [...] and is not based on a sample size of one. Here’s your problem. You think you have a large sample size, and in one aspect (number of women with whom you’ve spoken about this), you’re correct, but you are failing to account for another variable, which is the observer, that is yourself. Your sample size in this variable is one. Why does this matter? Because as far as I can determine by your wr…

"White rights" is code for oppressing non-white people and going back to how things used to be. There is no fighting for new rights or civil liberties there because those people were traditionally the oppressors and were in power for a long-ass time, and still are in some ways. This is a small-minded perspective, and thinking like this is part of what got us to the point of people coming up with silly bullshit like "white rights" in the first place. Feminism isn't perfect, but their advocacy for…

If you knew nothing about Christianity, and you were to watch a service at an Ethiopian Tewahedo church, then go watch a service at the First Christian Fellowship of Racistville, Alabama, there's really very little that you would see or hear that would suggest the two faith groups you saw were in any way related. What is this about a true field report? Lol field reports on TRP report the observed success of a third party all the time. Since when are you the arbiter of what a field report means? At the end of the day, it’s typically all a written account of how a woman was seduced. So I think the shoe fits and you’re getting a little too worked up on semantics. Sigh. No. A true field report would be written by a third party observing the actual interactions between the woman and the guy in such a way as to avoid affecting them in any way, and would be an account of EVERYTHING that happened that was observable. This. Isn't. A field report. Court reports are second-hand. Please try to keep up. And 4. Your problem is that you don't think that a woman can make a conscious, informed choice to sleep with a guy. I think you've inadvertently hit upon a very important feature of what you call "toxic masculinity." (I have problems with the whole concept, but I'll go with it for the discussion's sake) Namely, it shows up most strongly when young men feel no sense of investment in the society in which they live. You mention Eastern Europe. I can't imagine the economy is especially good, corruption is probably a serious problem, and in general, young men feel disenfranchised and disconnected. We also see this…

Women are the last people to ask for advice on dating women. They have no idea. Maybe a lesbian could offer some unique insight, but I've never seen that happen (more for lack of interaction than anything else). In fairness, the same probably goes more or less for men, too. I think men are, on average, marginally more aware of what they like, but only because the traditional role of the male as initiator has caused us to have to think more about these issues.

I've done a great deal of volunteering in the animal-rescue sector for the past few years, and I can tell you that most of the really dedicated animal rescue folks ended up there because they suck with other people. Most of these folks have big hearts and have put in heroic levels of effort for abused and abandoned animals, but I've never seen any other group of people who were, on the whole, so abrasive, hard-headed, difficult to work with, and quick to burn bridges.

I think you somehow managed to swap the two genders. Anecdotally, women are FAR more likely to believe in "the one." This is even borne out by your own words, later on: That's part of the practicality thing. Women are considering men the way they're considering job offers - it offers how much money, what are the benefits, etc. Sounds AWFULLY specific to me. Like, you know, The One. The One Job for me. If anything it hasn’t gone nearly far enough yet. I agree. Doesn't mean there won't be a backlash, and that the backlash won't also be led by women. People forget that men and women don't exist in a vacuum. Men who are unfairly caught in this, for whatever reason, will often have women who love them, and those women will be hurt. Yeah, but it's like using the gravity well of a planet to slingshot a spacecraft into a different solar orbit: Yes, you are taking some energy from the planet by doing so, but it's such a miniscule amount that it's essentially trivial. Besides, if a woman is so fragile that some pizza-faced dork awkwardly hitting on her is going to put her off men, then it's probably better for everyone if she removes herself from the dating market.

Well, the theoretical explanation is that "bitchiness" signals that the "bitch" is highly desirable, because they've been able to get away with such abominable behavior for so long without someone, male OR female, rearranging their face. That having been said, I think we need to define what "bitchiness" is. Most women are fundamentally basically, somewhat attractive to most men. Most men are neutral at best to most women, if not outright unattractive to them. This makes sense from a totally subjective, evolutionary standpoint. For men, the energy and danger cost to reproduction is essentially zero. Therefore it makes sense for a man to be attracted to most of the women he sees, so that he's got a better chance of reproducing successfully. For a woman, the danger and energy cost of reproduction is, …

Yes and no. I am not surprised that children of single-parents-by-choice don't have worse outcomes than two-parent children, but I guarantee you that if you look deeper, you will find that the SPBC children will very likely have alternative role models for the parent's opposite gender. Which means, kids need role models of both genders. Having two parents of different gender is a very convenient and handy way to have those role models, but it's by no means the only way.

I used the term "primordial masculinity" elsewhere in the thread. It's not an ideal term, since the word "primordial" is fussy and academic-sounding to my ear, but it's nevertheless very apt in a purely descriptive sense and carries little to no emotional baggage that I'm aware of.

As I said above, it's a weasel word for any form of masculinity that doesn't kiss the ass of the media/academic feminist establishment. That said, there is such a thing as what I like to call "primordial masculinity," the kind of masculinity you see displayed by young boys and men who have never had decent father figures, the kind that a group of boys on a desert island would figure out on their own, which is why I use the word "primordial" to describe it. It is where "masculinity" is defined as…

Toxic Masculinity = Any form of masculinity that doesn't bow down to the media/academic feminist establishment So already I'm turned off. If your masculinity is defined by what sort of animal you keep in your house, you've got a bit of an identity problem.

Women have uteruses. They can only reproduce once every nine months, and it's stressful and dangerous for them. Therefore, they have to be choosy. Furthermore, because one woman can only produce one baby per nine months, AT BEST, they are the bottleneck for population growth. It would take a woman ten years to produce ten babies, but a man can produce ten babies in nine months. Thus, women are FAR more valuable to the future of a given population than men. These two factors, when taken together …

Man or woman, most people are boring, soulless sheep. They don't have to be that way, but that's the least uncomfortable way for them to live.

In certain cultures, some found right here in the US, certain men have a similar value. Sure, for the majority of people, it is as you describe, but you are not without options for hole-work.

SECRET paternity testing is illegal. Paternity testing can be ordered by a court if you can show evidence that would cause a reasonable person to doubt the paternity of the child. This law, while having some unfortunate consequences for father's rights, does grow out of two things that have nothing to do with feminism or anti-masculism or whatever, and which are actually good ideas: It's a law that has to do with keeping civil suits from becoming the freak shows that they are in the US. In the U…

I'm just unhappy at the prospect of having to work like a dog to get places where as women can get there with the warm hole between their legs. You've got a warm hole too, pal, two of them, in fact. There are plenty of people out there interested in that sort of thing, and if you really wanted to put your holes to work for you, you could. You sitting here and complaining just belies your lack of motivation.

How should I respond to this text about her wanting my cock in her mouth? If you're serious about "friend-zoning" her, how about go for the obvious? "Maybe we should just be friends." Or, if you wish to wax lyrical, something to the effect of "You know, sometimes I feel like I'm taking advantage of you, and that's not the sort of friend that I want to be." Your sample size is somewhat suspect, though.

Just so everyone knows, stoicism is about not letting your emotions rule you; it's not about tamping them down. It's perfectly fine to experience your feelings and even let your decisions be informed by them, but the point is not to let them make the decisions for you.

I know exactly what the Tea Party is about. I am sympathetic to its grievances, but their methods are the political equivalent of a six year-old threatening to hold their breath until they die if they don't get their way. It's puerile, and does more to alienate them than affect the changes they seek.

Are you implying that the Tea Party movement is anything other than a well-funded tantrum? And anyway, most people vote based on feels rather than facts; for you to claim that women are the only ones to do so is demonstrably untrue.

So, smartphone pictures are HD until compared to better cameras' pictures, at which point they magically cease to be HD, like a carriage turning into a fucking pumpkin, or Orpheus' girlfriend being sucked back into hell because he turned around and looked at her?
/r/TheRedPill12/10/15 03:09 PM

HD has nothing to do with it. It has to do with the way certain lenses distort light.

It's great what you're offering, but good lighting and a good camera are 80% of a good photo. Camera phones are for shit. You want a long-focal-length DSLR. Anything else is beta as fuck. :P I can't remember which site it was, but some major dating site crunched the numbers on a shitload of user photo metadata, and found that attractiveness of the subject of a photo was strongly correlated to quality of the camera used to take the photo, all other things being equal. And as long as we're conceal…

Wrestling of some kind is really the foundation of hand-to-hand combat skill. Balance, roots, leverage, etc. It is the skillset from which everything else flows. If you read medieval and renaissance fight manuals, they all say this. BJJ is a nice form of wrestling, given its focus on leverage over pure strength, but it focuses a little too much on the ground game and not quite enough on rooting yourself and keeping your balance.

Interesting write-up. As to the last section, I'm not sure that "impetuous/cautious" was the best word for the translator to use. "Bold/timid" is probably a better pair. It is possible to be both bold and cautious. In fact that is frequently the most effective combination.

I find number 16 and number 25 to be at odds with each other. I also sense a satire, and if I'm right, it's a ham-handed and poorly-done satire.

Vulnerability is fine in its time and place. Someone, man or woman, who is vulnerable all the time, or most of the time, or half the time, or even a quarter of the time is a blubbering mess whom NOONE would take seriously.

In my experience, that has more to do with poor partner selection skills than anything else. People conflate sexual chemistry and personal compatibility. I've had some great sex with women I wanted nothing to do with outside a bedroom (or kitchen or living room or back yard...), and I think that a lot of people just haven't figured it out. This is one of those aspects of TRP that I think is somewhat erroneous because it is, in many ways, constrained to American (and to a similar but slightly les…

The Inuit and their predecessors lived on more fat and fewer carbs than that for thousands of years. Until very recently, raw milk and meat comprised the diet of the Masai people. For plains Indians, the heart, fatty organs, adipose tissue, and tongue were the most prized part of the bison; the lean meat was dog food. People are very well equipped, biologically speaking, to eat a high fat diet, whereas relatively few can handle even a moderate amount of starch in their diet. Bottom line: "Extrem…

If you have the emotional maturity of a five year-old, then yeah, I guess that's true. You can let social media dominate your life and get sucked into the swirling vortex of validation, jealousy, and materialism that the social media companies deliberately encourage, or you can grow up, cultivate an attention span of greater than ten seconds, and just use social media as a tool to communicate with people, or not use it at all. Also, what kind of jackass, male or female, puts up with a partner wh…

Not a single guy there sounds remotely excited... Let's be intellectually honest here; it might be selection bias on the part of the editor and author of the article. They might have had three responses to the effect of "OMG I CAN'T WAIT" for every "oh, shit." I couldn't evaluate the likelihood of that, but it's possible.

I don't know specifics, but there are laws against people suing those who accused them of a crime, or who were witnesses against them in a trial. For the most part, these are a good thing and are necessary. Obviously, though, not always.

It is. It's not a painting or a sculpture or a play or something, but it is an action considered to create an emotional response in the viewer. I think it's silly and overblown, but hey, it got an emotional reaction out of me, so I guess it succeeded.
