There's probably a few reasons why you see post about the bad things women do.

1) Some women are bad.

2) The post is about a women being treated better than a man would be if the genders where reversed. EG shorter prison sentences, or more empathy for the woman.

3) People blowing off steam/venting about bad experiences they have had where a woman has used her 'female privilege' against them

4) It's interesting to see how the media reports on bad women. The dominant narrative is that women are victims and men are perpetrators.

5) Some women hate men, and misandry is an issue for men.

Often times stories about one-off negative behavior by women are posted as counter examples to myths promoted by the feminist world view, e.g. "men are violent, women are civilized"..."news story about woman murdering her children".

You are correct.

Men have real issues and are mistreated by society in a lot of ways. This subreddit spends some time talking about that.

They also spend a lot of time finding specific bad actions by bad women, throwing around pointless accusations, and just generally being reactionary to whatever the gender wars issue du jour is.

I agree... kind of. Like others have mentioned and it's important to find out why the posts are made, and more often than not I find myself agreeing with the point being made. "A man would get a life sentence for this, but a woman doesn't" or something like that

That being said, I've seen discussions like this take place (not here usually, but elsewhere), and people come up with elaborate pseudo-intellectual societal explanations that really don't have much evidence beyond their own mind. This type of cognitive bias is definitely a hurdle that many MRAs need to be more skeptical about. You're definitely not alone in thinking this. If I had to pick out one particular thing I dislike about MGTOW/MRM, that would be it. Not that isolated events are valueless, but as always extreme skepticism and a desire to reduce our bias should be our objective anywhere on the internet.

Also, it would've been better to leave the comparison to feminist extremism out. I understand why you would say that, although I don't agree, but clearly it rubs certain people the wrong way. I have no idea how someone can read this and interpret it as being a complaint about this place being too focused on Men's Rights.

I see a lot of very specific instances of women being put in a bad light and these posts get upvoted, even though they are not in any way direct proof of being a general consensus of women's views on men.

Actually, the general consensus is that women can do no wrong. This, of course, is false; and it does you no good, nor society generally, to believe in a falsity. WBB posts are a useful injection of reality, a vaccination against sentimental fantasy.

To take just one example of the general consensus, women are too good to be imprisoned:

I wonder how these good people would deal with the recent case of a woman burning to death her three children in a fit of spite. They take care not to think of things like that when they formulate their feelgood proposals. Nevertheless, things like that happen, much as you would like them not to. The bias in favor of women's goodness is persistent, and in my view instinctive; we need to be reminded just as persistently that in fact it is not the case.

That's par for the course with any political or social group. Lots of mud slinging, and you need to separate the wheat from the chaff yourself.

This place is definitely just as much of an echo-chamber circlejerk as /r/feminism, /r/askwomen, and /r/TwoXChromosomes.

That's just how it goes, though. That's why I try not to spend too much time in here. It's nice for the occasional interesting read and my weekly dose of outrage, but if I stay too long, I start getting pissed at the world and women and all that unreasonable shit, and I forget that most of the women I know are perfectly decent human beings who care very much for the men in their life.

You have to know when to push back from the desk, or at least do something healthier and more constructive with your computer time, like browse /r/hentai or play violent video games.
