So until the overall education gets better, I will not support gun ownership by private citizens. The context matters. To explain my reasoning better: let's say that one generally would support a death penalty. But if the country in which such a penalty is to be introduced would have a judiciary system that's in hands of the corrupted politicians, introducing the death penalty would not improve the situation. It would lead to killing the opposition leaders and independent journalists.

As much as I would like not to be biased, the female engineers I knew just sucked at the job and they didn't even make any efforts to change that. When I was a junior I was spending most of my free time learning basic stuff to not suck at my work anymore. Heck, now I'm pretty experienced and I still spend 1-2 hours a day learning new stuff. I think that only if you go on a regular basis out of your convenience, that's discipline. And if you're going out of your convenience, you're putting some effort or at least you're taking some trade-off that will not payout immediately. I did not knew how American alimony work as well. In my country (Poland) the alimony are only granted if the side receiving them was not found to be guilty of a relationship breakup in family court and only if the receiving side is not able to provide for himself/herself and only up to the level of basic human needs like shelter, food and medication.
