Thank you everyone for scar advice. I'll forget about it. It's a part of me, I need to accept it and move on. And if someone asks, I'll just tell them that I wrestle sharks or fight bears.

I definitely have body issues to work out stemming from not only my transplant but from that last couple of pounds that seems to be hanging on for dear life. You're right though. Confidence in myself will change how others perceive me. I started off much worse and my issue with my scar was much worse. I think the only hurdle I have left is actually dealing with that moment when someone sees it and I know, logically, it'll be fine.

I got a liver actually. I take lots of the immunosuppressants. I'm not even a year out. Thank you for the advice.

The only issue I have is that I have a huge scar. I mean, it covers most of my abdomen. It's shaped like an upside down 'y' that starts in the center of my chest just below the rib cage, it's about an inch wide, and it has dots (smaller scars) on either side where the staples were holding the incision together. Basically, it looks like you can unzip me. I don't know whether I should make women aware of it before they see it or just not bring it up. I'm very self conscious about it as no one has …
