Does anyone else keep a journal, a collection of field reports, even on those nights that everything goes wrong? I've just started doing this.

This idea came to me last night. I went out and wasn't feeling too good right off the bat. My health was making me physically uncomfortable and then when I got to my friend's house he didn't feel like going out. I had to convince him to go. So before I left for the bar I was already out of the right frame of mind. I had a very boring night. I talked to a lot of people but just felt abnormally awkward the entire night. The only thing that helped me is that I was wearing clothes that were fashionable and comfortable and I knew I was having a pretty good night as far as looking good goes.

Late last night I was thinking about everything that happened and what I should do differently next time. It dawned on me that if I kept a journal I could go back and see which clothes made me feel good and who I was with that made me more fun to be around. With this information I could possibly engineer a positive situation more easily.

I just think that each person is unique and if I can find what works for me I'll be able to maximize my chances. What do you guys think?

TL;DR I started to keep a journal in order to engineer my situation more easily. What do you think of that idea?
