yeah, your strategy sounds good. the girl i texted told me she wasn't free tuesday night because she has a final wednesday morning she has to study for, which I guess is reasonable (we're in finals periods and she cares a lot about her grades). and she did text me "sorry" multiple times...although she didn't suggest another time.
/r/seduction29/04/13 09:44 PM

say I text a girl to set up a date (it'll be our second date) on say Tuesday, but she replies she's busy. so do I just text her again and ask if she's free on say like Wednesday night? But if she's busy that day too, it'll just be back and forth... and texting her "whenever are you free" makes me look too beta/desperate. thoughts on how to text here? it's possible she just doesn't want to go on another date with me, but 1) she had fun on the last one and 2) we're going to a couple of formals tog…

yep, that's why the date is mostly going to be walking through a scenic part of town. the bakery is like 25 minutes' worth of walking just to get there.
/r/seduction25/04/13 02:33 AM
2

sorry, should have been clearer in original post it's not really dinner... it's more like wander around town for 25 minutes then stop in a bakery for a snack...and then wander around some more.

any tips on escalating to holding hands? thanks.

thanks for the comment, but sorry what do you mean by "move her fringe behind her ear"? are you referring to her hair?
/r/seduction14/04/13 02:25 AM

yep, that's what I was thinking. basically Be Myself when it comes to rapport, but waiting to do that until after building attraction. thanks!
/r/seduction13/04/13 02:40 AM
2

Thanks for the reply. Well, basically: I'm an introvert. I enjoy being around people, but only in medium doses. When I'm at parties and stuff, I act extroverted and I'm fine. Being extroverted isn't my "natural state", but I can pull it off for periods of time. Same thing with flirting/approaches: I just shift into my "extroverted" mode. But at the end of the day, it's not something I can maintain for that long.

Women care about how you make them feel. That isn't necessarily dependent on how you look; it's more dependent on how you act.

look guys, it's really not that difficult. this is something I read on the subreddit a while ago; I forgot who wrote this. but credit goes to him, not me: to rate girls, I use a scale like this: 25% face, 25% body, 25% personality, and 25% prowess. Thus, a girl who's a 7 face, 8 body, 8 personality, and 7 prowess would be a HB 7.5 overall. for guys, it's weighted more like this: 15-20% face, ~26-28% each for everything else. you can disagree with me if you want: this is completely subjective. bu…

hm. I notice you mentioned banking on that list. so the finance field requires knowledge of linear algebra? :/ I got up to multivar calculus and stopped there, since a lot of people I talked to said finance didn't require any more math (assuming I won't be a quant. which I won't).

2

yeah, makes sense. that's pretty much what I was getting at; being funny shouldn't be a "conscious effort". rather, let your subconscious mind talk, and a lot of times other people will find what you say to be humorous, even if you didn't explicitly mean it to be. at least in improv. It could be different for other types of humor (ex standup), probably.
/r/seduction30/07/12 09:23 PM

so true. even in improv, you should never say a line and consciously try to be funny. it's all about delivery

No problem! I'm just happy to help :) It was definitely a revelation for me when I learned I had so APT too haha. a quick TL;DR version of what you need to do to fix APT: strengthen glutes strengthen hamstrings stretch hip flexors strengthen abs. One last note: when doing glute bridges, make sure you are NOT hyperextending your hips to do so. This article talks about the difference, and the picture is shows is of hyperextension. Cook hip lifts are a good way to test whether you're hyperextending…

/r/seduction28/07/12 02:46 AM
7

nope... it's the main reason why so many redditors have bad posture. do you look like this or this? then read this. and google anterior pelvic tilt; there's tons of good articles around the internet on it, and different exercises of varying difficulty that can be done to correct it. regarding planks, you actually want to try and kind of be in a posterior pelvic tilt for planks, I think: you want to clench your glutes and abs for those. oh, and to preclude future confusion: yes, for some exercise…
/r/seduction28/07/12 02:40 AM

look up anterior pelvic tilt on r/fitness: it'll help you out a lot. and good posture will make you feel confident and look more confident.
/r/seduction27/07/12 10:41 PM

... also sounds like you're not really understanding what the PUA community is about. if you think it's about acting like a guido on jersey shore, that's way off. If you think it's just about learning how to pick up girls, that's not really right either.

this is really interesting... I agree that I have limiting beliefs (absolutely), but I'm not sure if the "our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, our greatest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure” quote really applies here. I mean, I don't think one of my limiting beliefs is that I'm "afraid of having beautiful women in my life" or anything like that... unless it is and I'm just mindgaming myself.

Wow. This piece really hit home for me. It's a tad long, BUT READ IT! You won't regret it. How does it relate to seduction? If you want to be anyone, if you want to be the best you can be, you need self-respect. No woman will respect a man who cannot respect himself. Some of my favorite quotes: "The dismal fact is that self-respect has nothing to do with the approval of others..." "However long we postpone it, we eventually lie down alone in that notoriously uncomfortable bed, the one we make ou…

fair enough. I think pretty much everyone would agree that they would prefer to do things from which they would receive a greater return than what they invested into it. Of course, different people can value the same activity very differently and seek different types returns (tangible vs intangible, emotional, etc). If you know what you value, then good for you (I mean that non-sarcastically; not trying to be a jerk).

... I'm going to assume you're referring to the Downs paradox, also known as the paradox of voting. Note: the paradox of voting is actually different from the voting paradox... Actually, I'm unaware of any sort of "nobel prize in economics" earned for Downs' paradox of voting. I think you're confusing it with the voting paradox, which is completely different. The guy who pioneered the voting paradox was named Arrow and he did win a Nobel Prize, but again not for what you thought he did... In the…

it's supposed to be good for acne. I haven't tried it yet though.. also, this is the right subreddit for your question. And you absolutely can be sexy: a lot of it is mindset. I know that seems really not-helpful right now, but it's true. You can and will improve yourself. As a by product of that, other people will begin to notice, and in a good way.

Haha awesome man! Now you know you can talk to anybody. And you'd be surprised how often things like this happen. Happened to me once on the train: talked to random old guy on my right for an hour, he leaves, then got to talk to cuter chick on my left and get contact info

oops sorry I didn't mean to indirectly insult you :/ my bad man. but anyways, overall I think you pretty much nailed the different phases. of course everybody goes through his own specific variation of it, but you sketched the general outlines and here's a quick read on introversion vs shyness here
/r/seduction08/06/12 02:18 AM

good post. I agree; seddit is about self improvement. I remember reading something in this subreddit a while ago that went like this: We might first get into pickup because of the women. But after a while, we learn that it's really about improving ourselves and being the most we can be. It never was really about the women.
/r/seduction07/06/12 10:30 PM
1

insightful post. quick question: I assume that the difference between being shy vs introverted is that shy people want to interact, but they're just too self-conscious, whereas introverted people genuinely have less desire to interact? also, I'm not certain that the middle "jerk/narcissistic" phase is one that necessarily occurs. it's certainly possible, but I'm sure a lot of guys (especially former mr nice guys) think more along the lines of "holy sh*t I can talk to girls like they're human bei…

Yep. TL;DR of OP's post: he hates women. He blames his mother for his own problems. And he can't accept anyone who suggests that he just might be full of sh*t. He can't accept anything that suggests that maybe it's his own fault. OP: real men don't blame their mothers or anyone else for their own inadequacies and insecurities, much less make full length Internet posts denouncing their mothers and attacking everyone else in the comments who might express other opinions.

Gareth Jones is the ABC Attraction one that focuses on Asians? I once made a deposit of a few hundred dollars there, didn't end up going to one of the bootcamps, and lost my deposit :( despite the 100% refund thing on the front page :/ ah well. Fool me once, shame on me.

Agreed. OP should stop blaming his mother and stop spending so much time looking over and examining his "neurosis". Your mom loves you OP and did the best she can. She didn't do anything "wrong". You are who you are. You control who you are. Don't make excuses by blaming somebody else. And to reiterate what generalben's saying, the PUA mentality is not a misogynistic one. Awesome job man! You give me evidence to back up my belief that your first time doesn't have to be bad and it doesn't matter if you're a virgin. I think a lot of people's first times are bad only because they still don't really know what they're doing/how seduction works. But you clearly knew your stuff, so that the girl could hardly even believe you when you told her that you had been a virgin :P

Also consider this deflaker that seddit seems to like a lot: if she flakes on you when you ask her out to something, later on text her something along the lines of "Sorry I wasn't able to do ___ with you; I got way too busy. I'll make it up to you though. How about ___?" also, I liked your parenthetical comments :p

yeah, this whole time I was thinking GO TO SEDDIT I even did ctrl-f on the comments for seddit. didn't see anything. thought about mentioning seddit, then decided not to lest SRS and the rest of the seddit haters came in I wish mainstream redditors (heck, mainstream everyone) understood what this community is actually about: self improvement and being the best you can be. and actually being able to talk to girls is a side benefit of that

good info. any other good ways to escalate to tickling? I've done this before and it worked well. I initiated it by asking the girl to show off her guns, then feeling her arm, and going from there. I think the counting ribs trick is great as well. anyone else have ideas?
/r/seduction06/05/12 01:58 AM

yep. besides, a girl might be comfortable enough with letting you kino her precisely because she's FZed you so hard: she's assured in her mind that nothing will ever happen, so what's the harm of letting you touch her hair? etc

/r/seduction30/04/12 12:03 AM

ah, but see, if you go in with the mentality of being so concerned at what age you lose your virginity: that's going to screw up your inner game and your actual success in losing your virginity
/r/seduction28/04/12 07:41 PM
15

precisely. excellent comment. who cares how long it takes for you to lose your virginity? when you're 50 years old, will you give a sh*t whether you lost it at 15 or 25? what will matter is who you've turned into by age 50. will you be a positive, constructive person who gives value or someone who's always trapped by how he thinks others judge him?

/r/seduction21/04/12 01:17 AM

well, I think it depends on how you turned down the kiss. If you did so in a confident/humorous manner, then it might have been fine. perhaps saying something like "Sorry, I'm not that easy" or make the big girl qualify herself? that way it's not awkward
/r/seduction21/04/12 01:13 AM

agreed. It's good to have a close female friend, but don't necessarily turn to her for advice on other girls.

these are all good responses. However, it's now 2 hours after she sent the message. should I bother responding at this point? i mean, no response isn't that horrible, right?

ah, not exactly house parties. more like let's cram lots of people into a small dark room and play really loud music type of parties. I'm in college
/r/seduction08/04/12 06:19 AM

great post man. good stuff!
/r/seduction08/04/12 05:31 AM

*sigh. but see, I like this girl (the one who txted me about the party), and I know that right now she's into me (she asked if I have a gf, IOI's etc) in a daygame setting, I'm confident in my ability to continue building attraction.. not in a nightgame setting though, since dancing would be involved, and there's much less chance for conversation
/r/seduction08/04/12 05:27 AM
1

thanks for posting this man. I literally was going to post the same thing, only with college parties rather than clubs, but they're similar enough. I have pretty much the same problems you do. I can flirt with women and do daygame, but still have no familiarity in a club like setting :/ actually this was all prompted by a girl who just texted me to go to a party. and internally I'm like well I'd love to but I don't know what to do :/

quick question: so for case b), after the turn, won't she be facing you again? so when you put your hands on her back/thighs and place her hands on you... then what? to grind, wouldn't she have to be facing away from you?

I do it all the time. I go over what happened, what I did well, and what I did wrong. Then I give myself a grade based on improvement over past results. Usually I can figure out what I did wrong. Sometimes, I turn to seddit for help. Regardless, I learn a lot just by writing down my thoughts and sometimes turn back to them.

yeah, for a long, I don't think I would even have been capable of having a female platonic best friend, because my inner game was sh*t and I was too needy, seeking validation from other people. Pickup really is great. It's helped me, along with some other things, improve myself so that I can actually feel comfortable having a female best friend.
/r/seduction28/03/12 04:14 PM
2

well, looks like you're in the minority here. It's sad that you'll never able to become best friends with a female because you're too focused on 1) banging her and 2) the orientation of your sexuality.
/r/seduction28/03/12 01:59 AM
1

yeah, that's what my friendship is like too! like literally we can share anything (and so we know a lot about each other). definitely an "emotional relationship", like you referred too. I'm happy to know that this sort of thing is definitely possible
/r/seduction28/03/12 12:31 AM

haha yeah I did keep in mind that she could be a pivot. And actually, I hit on girls in front of her sometimes, so I don't think she'll mind. thanks for the advice!

If you don't like the service: DON'T USE IT please stop hating on all of us who are considering using the service because it's convenient and is helpful to fashion novices who don't have the time to figure this all out alone. Question: does going out imply going out to a nightclub? As a college student, the most I can do is daygame. So I guess the daygame equivalent to "going out" would just be to approach wherever you are or something?
/r/seduction22/03/12 11:19 PM
1

Great job man! Try not to beat yourself up though when you fail to approach. Yes, be disappointed in the fact that you didn't. But don't go too far and start overly criticizing yourself. Just accept that progress can be slow, and that next time you will do it.

great quote I just found on reddit actually: “The unhappy person resents it when you try to cheer him up, because that means he has to stop dwelling on himself and start paying attention to the universe. Unhappiness is the ultimate form of self-indulgence. When you're unhappy, you get to pay a lot of attention to yourself. You get to take yourself oh so very seriously.” ― Tom Robbins, Jitterbug Perfume

Thanks for the advice guys. I guess I can't really do anything other than live my life in a positive, productive and always self-improving manner. The reason why I had asked is because back when I was locked into a downward spiral, a friend came and helped me. And she literally changed my life. She probably saved my life, tbh. I turn back to that moment in my life when I realized it didn't have to be that way. That's when I decided I wanted to and I was going to change. I just wish I could do th…

great points! Yeah, I'm definitely going to be hesitant about mentioning seduction theory, just because there's so much hate on it in the mainstream press. I mean, I even saw an XKCD comic the other day making fun of it. I wish they would understand that seduction theory isn't just about the women; it's about improving ourselves to our full potential.

good points. I actually realized how far I've come when I was hearing to one guy's justifications why being negative is good. I was like wow I can't believe I used to think like that and be a little butthurt b*tch. I guess you have to at least want to change and become more positive before anything can happen, and it's not like I can make any of my friends change like that all of a sudden.

Gotta number close. As a beginner, today was one of the first times I just did a cold open. I was sitting near to a cute girl on the train, and I just started with a situational opener (What time does the train arrive at ___?) We ended up talking for 3 hours. best part: I wasn't friendzoning myself: I was confident, a bit snarky, DGAF attitude, giving value to her too (talking with me > being bored on train), doing kino (shoulder, upper body, hair). she was definitely showing IOIs (when I said I…

Those are all good points. As a beginner who's learning all this PUA stuff, even though I want to, I know I should never post those sorts of "what to do" things here in seddit. However, I'm also past the sorts of posts I see in askseddit, which typically are either 1) help me I have one-itis, 2) I have approach anxiety, 3) how do I make this girl make out with me. Thus, sometimes I do end up posting my newbie questions here in seddit. I'm not really sure what would be a good solution. I'm tempte…

these are really good points, and I think you hit the nail on the head. Question then: what exactly is roleplay humor? is it more situational? I think I've been so into c/f lately that I tease girls almost by instinct now. again, it works for first impressions, but not for prolonged interactions also: with girls that I have previously been excessively c/f with, how can I transition?
/r/seduction28/02/12 04:51 PM

thanks for the advice, but I don't ever try to "teach" girls things or argue on actual matters like that. Trust me dude, at my college, it's quite likely that the girl is smarter than I am. and I absolutely hate douches who try to prove their intelligence. my problem is more what totalradass said.

thanks for the reply! "you're getting to the point where girls think you are cute, without your demonstrating personality" This is actually a revolutionary concept for me. I do feel though that my personality had something to do with it; it's not like I have movie star looks or anything. But hey, this definitely does give me confidence and is helping me to reevaluate my self image and get used to the ideas that girls are actually attracted to me.

/r/seduction31/01/12 08:18 PM

dude, for a guy the face matters less than the body in many cases. and if you work out and have a ripped body, girls definitely find that attractive. don't know where you're getting your info from. so if you've got a body to flaunt, of course you should try to show it off. that doesn't mean you should bring it up yourself in conversation (you shouldn't), but if you're complimented on it, it's good to have a response ready.

Thank you for your advice and overall insightful post. "You should not care to a great degree how she affects you because there are so many other attractive friends on you already." What you said makes a lot of sense and actually really resonates with me. I honestly wish that I could walk around with a webcam and recorder keeping track of every conversation/interaction I have had in my life. Very reasonable points, and a lot of good insights there. I feel though there's probably a lot of people on seddit (or who are interested in learning about PUA in general) who are here just to learn how to interact with girls in general beyond a friend-zone manner. I'm one of them. It's not as if I'm just trying to learn how to get a girl in bed; heck, the idea of sex frankly still scares me. I'm just trying to learn how demonstrate interest to a girl and maybe take a girl on a few nice dates.
