so there's a girl I'm really interested in. We've already been on a first date, and it went well, but no makeout. I'm fairly certain she's interested in me, since she asked me to her formal, but I'm very wary of being friendzoned.

To stop myself from being friendzoned, how many interactions can I let pass before I physically escalate more? ex she says that she wants to study with me for something, but I declined because I didn't see it as a great escalation opportunity, and didn't want to go and "waste" another interaction with her without escalating.

or maybe I'm being too beta in looking for the "right" opportunity to escalate...
