I'm Chinese, in China at the moment, pretty decent success, blah blah blah. The only worry I have for when I go the US/UK for uni is the haircut.

Right now, I keep my hair medium, with bangs, kind of like this http://haircutshairstyles.org/pics/handsome-asian-short-hairstyles-for-mens-from-takeshi-kaneshiro_1.jpg . I find that my face looks the best with this length of hair.

Trolling through haircut boards, though, I've seen Asian dudes recommended to get shorter hair, faux-hawk style, because 'it looks more masculine' and 'less FOBy'. Indeed, it's quite easy to spot ABCs (American Born Chinese) here in China because of their shorter haircuts, where the sides are usually shaved short.

So...thoughts? Thoughts from the Asian guys in the US/UK?

inb4 haircut/appearance doesn't matter. Yes it does. First impressions matter.
