The OP, I assume. But I'm not versed in his post history so I'm not sure what part of this is wishful thinking.

Check out the British show Humans sometime. There's a sub-plot that is somewhat like this.

This goes along with something that used to be repeated often here (years back), but I haven't seen mentioned in some time. The idea that you want people to have a strong feeling about you. Whether love or hate, you want to elicit a strong emotion from people about you. You don't want people to think "oh yeah. That guy. He's whatever."

You already know this, but as a young guy in that situation, it really is appreciated. With the rest of your personality, it's a benevolent, friendly act; not a beta attempt at supplication.

So here's a question I've always wondered: Do you ever plan to stop? Is there a point where you will say "No, I don't want to get too big" and then turn your focus toward exercises that will round out your physique as opposed to simply getting bigger? I get that there's a huge subset of people who want to get as big as humanly possible, but are there others who simply get to a certain point and then maintain? Personally, I couldn't see myself wanting to get amazingly huge or begin cyclng; I just…

As much as I disagreed with his policies, I had respected Bernie as a candidate and as someone who fought for his ideals. When that BLM bullshit happened on his stage, when he allowed it to happen instead of having his security team remove them, is when I knew he had no business in the office.

Yeah, standards up here are pretty low. Younger generations are starting to be more attractive, but most of them leave the state. There's definitely attraction inflation up here.

If you're referring to runner's high, not everyone can actually get that. It's all based on your genetics if those neurotransmitters are hit with those chemicals.

See, this is the part that I have issue with. If you're actively hungry then you're missing some macronutrient because your diet isn't balanced the way it needs to be. You can't study, work, etc. when you're missing a key nutrient and your body isn't getting what it needs to function optimally.

I wish that that movie would quit being referenced here. I hate using this description, but it's almost a meme with how people attempt to apply their life to that mold.

Specialize in underwater welding and work in somewhere like Alaska or Norway for a few years. Make a shitton of money, keep your financials in check (can't stress this enough in trade culture), and you'll be good. Of course anything is more nuanced than that, but you get the gist of the path.

Does this change the importance of social media in a person's life in the opinion of the sub, then? Is an interesting Snapchat/IG/Tinder your requirement to engage (not just for women, but in social circles as well)? I'm right in the thick of this social media generation (19 y/o), and I seem to be doing just fine socially without the need for these accounts. Sexually is a whole different matter, but I digress. Are you not a valid person without your social media proof today?

You can see a 10 when someone else will see a 7, but no one will look at the same girl and see a 2. Right, but the issue is that the ex is lower on the scale, not her exact position on it. If a 10 waitress sees the guy with a less attractive ex, the ex could be 1-9 and it wouldn't matter in this case. OP is hot and 10 waitress wants him.

but have found they're into you Okay, maybe you can explain this shit. Why are black chicks so damn into me? I don't find them all ugly; the ones that typically hit on me are pretty cute actually. But I tend to get the most IOIs from black girls and don't get why.

Good lord. This is infuriating, but I'm honestly not quite surprised. For clarity, I live in Alaska. There is a huge problem with sexual assault in the state, largely attributed to the Native populations (both in villages and those who fly into Anchorage and remain homeless). There are a number of organizations devoted to aiding victims of sexual assault in the state. As we should all expect, they all focus on women as the primary victims (which, if I'm being honest, is typically true in the Nat…

But that's never going to happen. You're trying to propose something that's going to be stricken down based on the word "nuclear." The same people who are anti-vax, anti-GMO, anti-science granola idiots will rally against Nuclear Energy because of unfortunate incidents in the past.

You wouldn't sign a lease on a car only having looked at the paint job and listening to the sales pitch. Putting your mind in "relationship" mode this early on is equally as stupid. Second, your question is about a coworker. If this were a flowchart, there would be a box asking "Is She a Coworker?" with the "Yes" option leading straight to the "Next." box. No matter what, you only know this girl in a single context. All people have different "faces" for each social situation. Make one wrong move…

The way they say that texting/social media notifications benefit us is by sending a short dopamine burst to our brains (hence: my generation's social media addiction). I guess it doesn't really matter who it's coming from; even yourself. That's pretty cool.

Join a frat if you didn't already. Is it worth it if you're already in your Sophomore year? TRP preaches frats constantly, but I'm going into a sector where that seems to matter very little. Agreed. It's still fucking ridiculous, but for a different reason altogether. As for the woman's sentencing, again I doubt it's a gender issue (though it's Sweden, so you never know). Nobody's noticing you, nobody cares. I have a hard time believing this, no matter how often it gets said, or by who. Maybe it comes down to how I grew up, but when you enter a new situation people will notice you and wonder why you're there. It's an immediate protective instinct.

It's not simple. It's that easy, but not that simple. It's easier if you have a background in science or health, definitely. But there's so many conflicting views and articles out there, lots of broscienxe as well. Depends on the specific gym, really. At my local gym, there's no contact to the head. We interact with intensity in other ways, but leave the head alone. It's an incredibly fun (and useful) sport; I always have fun when I train. Just make sure that your gym is an official IKMA gym. There's a lot of... "fakes" out there. There's only a small handful of gyms in the US.

IIRC that's a mod imposed rule from a few months back, which is why it's so prevalent now. Chances are if they think it's important it probably won't change. Though I definitely agree with you. If you can't be assed to discern the different sections of a text, you're being lazy. If your writing is so incoherent that it's unclear where the intro ends and body begins, that should have been fixed in high school and needs to be focused on.

Why are we accepting women-only scholarships? Yet we can't accept a white-male-only scholarship? That is discrimination against white men. Sure, except that SJWs will simply spout the tried-and-true "lol DAE reverse racism" rhetoric to dismiss the issue, shaming white males for "trying to equate their lives to the struggle of oppressed classes."

I think it would be cool to do a post series similar to what was done with the 48 Laws. Go through everything in-depth, step by step. I have yet to read the book, so I'm not sure how much mileage (length) you could get out of separating them one by one. Maybe groupings of some kind would work well.

'STEM' is super broad. It could mean (just about) anything, so it doesn't mean much at all. Even in Engineering, some jobs are very high in demand (and are therefore compensated well), while in other specialties, the girl you know has a predictable salary.

/r/TheRedPill28/09/15 06:45 AM

It really comes down to what you are going after in college. Too many people go to get worthless degrees, but fail to make connections or get any real purpose from it. Engineers, med students are where it's at. Don't devalue a college education - certain fields are still highly valuable and are impossible without one.

Yeah you make sense, I suppose it's more of my upbringing saying that than anything. Dropping cash to get what you want doesn't have a positive light to it, but that's obviously not the name of the game in the wider world. What are you doing with bitcoin that makes you such good profit? Be general if you need. You're sure not mining it making that kind of cash nowadays. Thanks for the details. Though I probably shouldn't tonight, I'll grab InDesign and see what I can do. Let's say we were to use Octavo (48 Laws is that size and roughly similar page length and it's a pleasant size) & probably Garamond (Serif fonts are easier on the eyes, I imagine?), what would be an appropriate margin? The pre-frontal cortex is responsible for a person's decision-making ability and social behavior (to a general extent). This region fully myelinates (read: grows) by about 25. We can debate all day about why teens act out/rebel, but the nurturing of that behavior is due to incomplete brain development. I will agree that, overall, society takes the nanny position with kids/young adults…

Muay Thai is definitely intense. But I wouldn't say that it is the most effective option. Krav Maga does a great job at taking the best parts from several places (Muay Thai, BJJ, Judo, etc.) and then editing the form to put a huge emphasis on body articulation to be as quick and effective as possible. If you ever watch an experienced Kravist, they are swift as fuck - it is impressive what they're able to do. As you advance it become increasingly necessary to take on multiple opponents (up to 8, …

I love that sub. Does nothing toward self-improvement (time sink), but it works toward calling out bullshit in the health/diet industry that is pro-fat, like Tumblr's own brand of broscience. Whether it actually wakes people up isn't proven at all and is definitely up to debate. Whether you think that the attempt is good (less fat people), or bad (more competition in the sexual marketplace) is up to you.

not being a consumer God, I just don't get that. TRP pushes such an 'anti-consumerism' almost 'mountain man'-like mantra about things to buy, and it has never made any sense to me. I always saw the ability to buy whatever you want, whenever you want as sort of the pinnacle of life; at that point, you have officially won the game. I grew up very, very poor. Living on monthly wages which lasted approximately two weeks, always in danger of getting evicted from our apartment, every time we got a lit…

How are the e-mail addresses being stored? I would hope not in plaintext. If so, encouraging TRP members to set up a burner e-mail solely for TRP (similar to a reddit account), would be paramount. Personal/work/e-mails with history set yourself up to be doxxed easily when stored in Plaintext. Happens in blackhat forums, torrent trackers, and the Darknet (SR1/2 anyone?) with fair regularity.

Don't chase money and women, chase your own goals and let the money and women be a byproduct. Everything else is on point, but I disagree with the point I bolded. I don't see anything wrong with going after money. Be smart and methodical about it, sure (i.e. get rich quick scams vs. smart investing), but it is undeniable that money is the key to a great many things in life. I grew up very poor. books Books (fiction) are definitely a time-sink in the same way that games are, but they're simply accepted as an intellectual pursuit. They don't make you stronger, more well-informed, better at your job, or any of that. Not that they don't always serve a purpose. It's been stated ad nauseum in the past and is one of the simplest bases that we work off of: we generalize for the sake of simplicity and general correctness. Of course there are some women that are meant to be leaders, and sadly even more men in today's western world that aren't, but the majority of both genders rests in the positions that we've generalized.

It's all about what you want out of it. It would be dumb and a hamster move to deny that girls are a motivator for positive improvements you make in your life, particularly physical improvements. TRP isn't a move to deny that. You shouldn't, however, let girls be your sole (or even largest) motivator (unless your focus is on getting girls, obviously), or let them be a deciding factor on what you do and what you continue/discontinue to do.

You're missing the point. Sure, nature/nurture play a part, but you can't expect a 16 year-old to be mature. It just doesn't happen biologically. You can argue it any way you want, but the facts are that a human doesn't become fully mature until around the age of 25.
/r/TheRedPill29/03/14 04:45 AM
-1

You were saying that society holds them back in terms of maturity by 16. Sure, there may be some truth to that (depending on what maturity you're looking at, how you define it, etc.), but the truth is no human is mentally mature at 16. Sure, you're probably going to find some difference and some variation, but even then, they're not as mature at 16 as they will be at 25. The point is, 'society' isn't to blame for mental immaturity. Biology is.

It's not a societal thing - you're sounding like a feminist with all this 'society defines our bodies' bullshit. u/hermit087's comment is based in factual neuroscience. The Prefrontal Cortex (decision making, planning, problem-solving) of the brain fully myelinates (sheath of insulation to aid in transference of electrical signals between neurons) at 25 (look at '20s and beyond').

I would argue that the fight-or-flight mechanism (particularly when affected by alcohol and situational stress through a past experience (I'm not confident enough to declare it PTSD), as was the case here) would cause someone - regardless of gender - to react the way that the woman in the situation did. /u/NakedAndBehindYou makes a great point, and I agree. There's an addendum I'm going to make, though, that just serves to give more perspective on chivalry in the context of a girl you're interested in. More specifically, it relates to your example of holding doors open. Let's say you and a girl of interest are walking together; things are going great, and you're about to enter a building. Being chivalrous, you open the door and allow the girl to enter first. Don't just let her walk through, tho…

Honestly I don't know why that stupid voting bullshit even carries the weight or drama that it has/does. The majority of reddit fancies themselves social justice warriors, out to hop on the bandwagon of perceived reality based on what everyone else is hating. Basic social conditioning, not unlike what you might find in real life. e.g.: Meek Beta: "How about that new Hip-Hop artist? Kinda sucks, huh?" Group: "He actually makes pretty good music." Oh definitely there's further aspects, I was just focusing on the relationship realm. Is there a reason there seems to be a high proportion of pure-sex relationships to non-sexual (by this I mean other aspects than sex. Non-sexual relationship just seems silly.) on TRP?

Not criticizing or anything, just simply curious: from what I gather it seems like the people in this sub don't exist in a relationship beyond sex. Is this a reality, or is sex just the more highlighted feature? I always see people taking girls on dates etc. viewed as beta.
