Honestly yeah, it always feels like stuff has to get really bad before anyone actually does something about it. People just ignore stuff until it’s in their face. I feel like most of these “influencers” are just repeating the same old stuff but with new buzzwords. Telling guys they have to be providers or whatever is just the same pressure as before, just wrapped up differently. Nothing really changes if people keep pushing those ideas.

Hey dude, if it works for you that's fine, but in my experience and with all my friends, it gets old quickly. Real! I would like to add some nuance where I can and say that while radfems ignore men's issues, it Is not due to seeing the world through the lens of patriarchy theory IMO. Bell Hooks for example uses this lens to see where the patriarchy fails and harms boys and men in the book "The Will to Change: Men Masculinity and Love". I would also suggest an "Emotional wheel" if you feel you have trouble diagnosing what you feel. Prenups exist. Besides marriage can be stronger than simply a piece of paper. It can be a way to let partners know you respect their beliefs if you don't share religions, and it also has the upside of letting the government see you as a couple legally, though benefits vary. I mean, patriarchal beliefs as they were implemented in the west had baby making as a core trait for women. While society Is mostly not patriarchal anymore, the cultural effects of this system aré still present, and as such, if a woman were to reach the conclusión that they want to be childfree, they most likely have to consciously reject an idea that they have internalized since a very young age. For some this comes easily, and others need More radical theory to see it that way.

Society doesn't hate men. It just doesn't care for them. This Is a cultural consequence of the patriarchy, which promoted men's value being tied to what they can provide to those Around them, even their own lives in times of war, or emergencies (Women and children first). We just have to hope this way of looking at it becomes More common, but for that we need to keep working on dispelling the lie that the patriarchy favours men. It doesn't. It favoured patriarchs.
