Usually hobby groups that men get into don't have a lot of women who are not there with their guys, if at all. You may have one or two.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/26 12:21 AM

Bullshit

And you would not want to sleep with at all?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 10:35 PM

That and your confidence are what set you apart.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 04:51 PM

Then you are probably an attractive woman.

That has been a problem for decades but I never dream it would fuel multi-billion dollar industries thar are designed to keep them lonely.

Multi-billion dollar industries like OF, Cornhub, and manosphere show otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 01:46 AM

Not true, I have female friends. I'm definitely far closer to my guy friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 08:59 AM

You have a point there. I grew up learning to protect those who can't, I would tell the guys to run but I will stay and defend gals.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 08:58 AM

It isn't about likelihood of the occurrence; it is the deterrence. And I'm just listing one example.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 08:53 AM

You think he would say that to a girl?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 08:52 AM

I am a minority, I also struggle to share friendship with white men since they will never understand what we have to deal with.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 08:42 AM

Say I go out with my female friends and we got confronted with a physical threat, I'm the one supposed to defend them. Financial support is a bit muddy because I don't pay for other people's shit, but I have seen more guys buying female friends food than the other way around... It is also socially more acceptable if not expected.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 08:41 AM

Men provide physical/emotional/financial supports, at least that's the standard.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 08:29 AM

No, most don't
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 08:27 AM

Not with women because they will never understand our struggles
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/26 08:21 AM

Let's see... My dad was abusive, my mom was a serial cheater until she died from cancer, I got bullied because I am an immigrant from a poor family and I used to be fat and ugly. All of those insecurities and self hatred stayed with me even after I got in shape, finished my degrees, established in my career... All those accomplishments were partially fueled by my revenge mentality. Now, I want attention and love, I want to be desired but I never want anyone to have control over my heart anymore …

I know it is ridiculous but... All these women who are "heartbroken" can find a dude within minutes. All of my ex start dating within weeks after the break ups. Even for an above average guy it will take months before landing a girl.

I have to spice this up a bit to get engagement

I guess I'm also kinda taking into consideration that men (and people in general) in this generation are not as socially calibrated.

Sure, that beats when I was being stringed along in my early 20s.

We started as FWB, then situationship, once I started having other women on tap she wanted exclusivity. It worked out for a few years but I will be honest - I never like love her as much she love me. She said I was cold and distance since I always had a foot out the door. Besides that I was a pretty good partner... I cook, clean, provide financially/physically/emotionally, always keep a calm and helpful presence. I just never want to give my heart away after my early 20s.

I went with a coworker and a friend of a coworker before, they had to drop heavy signals first lol
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 04:40 PM

Haha, one of my ex said that... After about 6 months in.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 04:38 PM

I see your point there. I, for one, don't go around asking everyone out; I always wait for indicators of interest first.

I cheated on my partners before, I just didn't get caught. But I did everything else - cook, clean, provide financially/physically/emotionally, always keep a calm and helpful presence... I am also not claiming I'm a good partner overall. One of my ex called me cold and distance because I always have a foot out the door.

Well, sleeping around help me get more women; I used to be loyal to a fault... I would date a person, announced my romantic interests, then keep all of my other options away to focus on the one person I wanted to be with... Even if that means letting go of another option that was more appealing to me later. I ended up getting stringed along by 2 woman over the course of 4 years combined during my early 20s. Never again did I ever fully give my heart away after that.

Good point, for men who are dating for relationship it isn't such a deterance.

I understand and I'm not excusing my actions. I am very respectful, kind, caring... I cook, clean, provide financially, and always keep a calm and helpful presence. I also never got caught cheating. I just... I want to be desired and loved by more than just one woman.

I get you, I now think the gender divide is how we view sex. Women view it as a shared experience whereas we view that as the objective.

I agree those switch up are terrible, hell, I caused a few of those problems. If you don't mind me asking... How long were you two when yall first met? How did you two became a couple? I feel you two are compatible and skipped the game phase due to a shared environment where marriage and family are the long term goal. I actually think the world will be a better place if we can all be like you two. 2

Haha... Morality isn't a requirement nor a motive for enlisting. Most of us just need a job. My bad moral was definitely more so in dating; I absolutely made efforts when I'm in relationships... I did cheat on all of my partners in the past so other than that I was a great partner...

Oh, I got you now. Yes, I can see why cold approach isn't necessarily an opposing skill... More like a different style. Yes, I am using sex as the reward here... Within the context of being a potential partner. I think the problem is that most good men with good intention don't even get to that in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 09:06 AM

I agree with you that it depends on what one want out of it. I'm just saying this can gatekeep good LTR material men with good intention.

English is my third language and I typed this on my mobile. I thought about using AI to dress it up but this seems to be more genuine. I can write more professionally... I have a bachelor's and a master's in history, a fun hobby. I just don't use those skills on reddit.

I agree with your analysis that men largely misunderstood the advice. But your refutation has no bearing on my point - caring men who are romantically interested in women they know are going to be overlooked by men who don't care about shooting their shots to every women they see, because the former see women as friend, partner, human while the latter only consider them as walking vagina. It is not just women... It is human nature. I play 2k and EA Sports FC... Think of them as casinos, if you g…

I think that's the problem. Men were taught to treat women as princesses and attend to their every needs. But... From my observations and personal experience, women are more likely attracted to those who tear them down than prop them up. Neither are good LTR materials, but the former get dates and sex. Not saying I tear people down, but I'm definitely on the colder side... My ex complained to me "I'm cold and distanced at times" but still stuck around for 2 years when I always had a foot out the…

As a guy, I was told to not put women on a pedestal. In many instances of my dating stage during my early 20s I would be the one putting up more effort because I thought I needed to be attentive to the women I was pursuing/dating/in relationship with. All failed after the women got bored. In my late 20s I started to not care, date/fwb with multiple women as backups, never committed to any relationships... Guess what? Since then I have never been dumped and always get to dictate, I have women tel…

You do have a point there... I'm not from the US and I don't really pay attention to pop culture so I need to look them through.

The biggest disadvantage of feminism is it gives an illusion of solution but it had been employed for superficial ends. Celebrities, corporations, politicians, and the wealthy class get to play this card to further their agenda without addressing practical challenges women faced everyday - SA laws, r-pe kits testing backlogs, domestic abuse, employment opportunities... But feminism became the signal that we achieved gender equality, at least enough to be used as the rallying point for pushbacks …

That is actually what I am more scared of... What if she calls and apologize? Do I forgive her? What if she wish to pick up from where we were at? My heart can't handle it anymore.
