Bare with me, I am an old soul and I tried but could not connect with younger women, so I don't really care. But it is obvious why men support this:

When they grew up they saw women dating older men and were frustrated by it, so now it is "their turn"
Being selected by younger girls feel flattering, in a similar way being selected by older women as well
Young girls are not necessary want to "settle down after having their fun" you are most likely a part of "fun"
Young girls are not a part of group who rejected you when you were young (I know, unfair point, but still)
Young girls are hot (so are the other girls, but still)

Because two adult people are free to make their own decisions, for themselves. Left-wingers in society think that a 4 year old has the capacity to make life-altering decisions about transitioning but a legal adult cannot make his/her own decisions about who to date? (N.B.: IDC if anyone is trans or not - that's a "Not My Business" category - but I don't want to hear about how a 24 and under person "lacks the proper frontal lobe development" to make their own relationship decisions, but a kid does wrt life-altering surgery. Sorry, not buying it.)

The most base-level explanation is simple:

(1) They find younger women attractive and want to have sex with them

(2) Younger women are easier to manipulate

(3) Younger women are more open to casual sex

I've also heard "red-pillers" intellectualize it with the following arguement:

(A) Women's "value" is highest when they are young and attractive

(B) Men's "value" is highest when he is older and is making much more money in his career

(C) Women are socially 'allowed' to leverage their "high value" by dating around in their youth. Therefore it is only fair that men are 'allowed' to leverage their "higher value" when they are making more money in order to date younger, attractive, "higher value" women

Like most things in the manosphere, there might be a grain of truth there, but the red-pill exaggerates these social dynamics and the way they present it is just repulsive.

The entire question is because people in the US have trouble with being judgemental and minding their own relationships. An age gap is the choice of the people involved, and in most countries that's exactly how it is treated. Abuse is a different issue.

My beliefs you should be similar age just through a concept of eternal love and creating a connection and bond, memories together. I’m 25 and the youngest I’d date is 22 more than likely and oldest 32, anything else and we aren’t at the same spot in life. I’m not the same as I was when I was 18, I grew into my tendencies and develop them more yes. But I have much more insight and control over my internal thoughts. Those men don’t want genuine connection with them, it’s just chasing superficial ego and validation for insecurities and in the moment surface gratification, a means to an end

This one always strikes a chord, partly because the unspoken premise is that these men should only be pursuing those within their age band. Which often happens to be the single mothers that the manosphere is highly against being involved with.

I don't agree much with the idea that women are "complaining about competition", since they often claim that these men were "rejected by women their own age". But from the typical male POV, "the purpose of the system is what it does".

In my conclusion, both large age gaps and single parents are both toxic.

I think age gap makes all the sense in the world in case the guy is an older virgin who's cleaned himself up and finally gotten a hang of himself.

The 20/23f - 26/30m constellation seems to become a thing then, as if they're naturally aligned somehow.

If you consider the alternative, that this type of man goes with someone same-age. She will be experienced, ready to have stability. Maybe children real soon. That can only end in tears.

You're treating age gaps as though they automatically create a unique risk that doesn't exist elsewhere. Manipulation, abuse, and power imbalances can happen in relationships with the same age, a five-year gap, or a twenty-year gap. Age alone doesn't tell you whether someone is controlling or abusive.

The reason many people in the manosphere push back is because they see adults as capable of making their own choices. If both people are consenting adults, they don't think it's reasonable to assume manipulation simply because there's a large age difference. Judge the relationship by how the people actually behave, not by a number.

You also say you don't support banning these relationships but think they should be publicly shamed. That's still assuming the relationship is inherently suspect before you've looked at the individuals involved. If abuse or coercion exists, criticize that. If it doesn't, the age gap by itself isn't evidence that it does.

If anything, blue pillers can't help but to push that agenda down people's throats yet turn around and play dumb when called out for it. I don't support the notion that girls under the age of 18 (16-17 range) have less agency over themselves then the 18 year old girl.....this is as female centric an era as we've ever lived as a species and warning signs/what to avoid are as plain as day to all girls all the time via social media. The belief that all relationships that don't adhere to the strict laws we've established as a society are 100% predatory and the man is shit....I don't subscribe to those beliefs.
