What is the percentage of men who react to rejection with violence? Compared to men, women aren't rejected nearly as often. But this is with respect to rejection in the courtship stage as opposed to in longer term relationships where it's likely more even.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 02:50 PM

I was a frequenter of bars and clubs for many years and the worst rejection reactions I witnessed were from women. It ranged from horrible insults (often homophobic) to destruction of property and phsyical violence. In fact, the only physically aggressive rejection reactions I witnessed over the years were from women.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 02:37 PM

wild take when women get killed by men for rejection all the time. the opposite happens way less often. But if men are overwhelmingly in the position to be rejected (because they initiate most of the time), then that would affect the statistic. OP already explained this.

No, from what I've read men want to be the man women break their own rules for.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 02:31 PM

You spoke of laws. The law decidedly does not consider those actions actionable, meaning consent was not vitiated. This is why you can't charge or sue someone for lying about their feelings or making false promises or asking repeatedly for sex, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/26 01:18 AM

Moving the goalposts. The ethics of it is not in question lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 09:17 PM

Nothing I described is illegal in the West.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 09:07 PM

Someone badgering you or you feeling just any kind of pressure where sex is concerned is not the rest of society's problem and should not be policed. You can still consent or not consent. Your agency isn't gone. Persuasion can be annoying and mean, but nobody forced you in the situations I described.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 07:07 PM

I don't subscribe to the the relatively new idea that badgering someone is coercion or a psychological manipulation tactic. No, consent is present no matter how many times a person is asked. It's present even when a person deceives someone about their intention or feelings in order to have sex. People are getting very confused over the difference between persuasion and coercion, and also between legal and ethical transgressions. I think it's an active effort to expand the scope of "rape", person…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/26 05:31 PM

I don't care what the actress thinks or what your male friends think. Bear only becomes aware that Nikki is trapped after the wish, and there is nothing he can do about it by that point. FFS, once he knows he's terrified and he has no choice but to stay with her for fear she will freak out. He's as trapped as she is by that wish. And yes he's still selfish, but he is no rapist. If the point of the film was to show he is, then I actually think the writing is quite bad considering he's such a symp…

It still matters which fisherman you listen to, I think that's what people forget. But, generally, I do think sexually and/or romantically successful men give better advice about how to be successful than women (in general). I think many women just say what they think they are supposed to say, which can be pretty useless sometimes if a man just wants to get a date or have casual sex or maintain a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 02:06 PM
1

Without knowing the broader context, I think the general idea that left wing progressive pathologization of maleness and masculinity is indeed helping to make it worse for women and people overall. Much of the rhetroic from modern feminists just alienates men, often intentionally, and as such it will never win any over or lead to any genuine healing for anyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 01:59 PM
1

And that's really the point of all this I think. To expand the definition of rape to spare women from hurt feelings born of their own consentual acts. If consent isn't vitiated, there was no rape. There is only regret for decisions made with agency. What you are doing is so insulting to anyone who is actually a victim of sexual assault. Gross.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 11:51 PM
1

Doesn't make it rape like so many people like to claim. Lying is bad, but people will do it. Don't trust people so easily. If you do, then you're also at fault. Take some accountability. When someone tricks you, you also get tricked. It's easy to say it was all someone else's fault, but you allowed yourself to be tricked. By the questions on that survey, I've been coerced into sex with more than one woman. I know they aren't nice women. Period. End of story. On with life.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 11:48 PM

Several studies did broaden the scope to include women and yes indeed a shit ton of them use the non physical tactics in these questions. But you'll never see that in a headline.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 11:43 PM

A few are towards the end. Most don't meet the legal threshold for criminal coercion.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 11:30 PM
1

Why they would frame it that way. Oh and I looked it up and when the parameters of these studies are broadened to include women's responses, the number for women who would count as having coerced someone into sex is about even with men. It only skews men when it comes to physical force or the threat of it. So most sexually active women are also coercive when it comes to sex and do many of these behaviours on male victims.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 11:29 PM
1

Worth it to note that there have been several studies of this nature over the years, and when the parameters are broadened to include women's responses (or men's accounts of coercive behaviours used on them), the numbers show that a significant amount of the non physical coercive tactics listed in the questions are done by women as well. Women get guys drunk to fuck them. Women lie to men to fuck them. Women evade an initial "no" with guilt and shaming and other manipulative tactics. Over 50% of…

In a perfect world noone would. It would also be nice if people stopped stealing, scamming, bullying, etc, etc. It's just not going to happen. And two of those things are actually illegal, as opposed to the behaviour you want to curtail.

If her having sex with you depends on you keeping your word and you did not keep your word, you have violated her consent! Spare me your insolence. If we are going by your own subjective understanding of consent, which has absolutely no legal standing, sure. Really she just slept with someone consentually and then regretted it lol. It is harassment if you are still begging from that point on, and yes at times it can be threatening so no I did not use the word incorrectly. No, I still think you u…

Half of them would not make sense in that case. How would you have a female friend around to make her feel safe after she's already said no? A threesome? Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 10:15 PM
2

I agree it isn't coercion, because I have a reasonable threshold when it comes to what I feel constitutes coercion. You have an exaggerated and unrealistic definition of coercion and, nevertheless, you apply it selectively, inconsistently.

Describe coercion, specifically the kind you are talking about here. I want to hear how it's different than just being dishonest.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 09:49 PM

Yeah but they don't go lumping those women in with rapists in studies and online discourse. They call those women dishonest using mean language at worst.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 09:48 PM
1

Categorically, most of them are not. Unless there are very low levels of coercion that aren't legally or even very socially actionable and we should just call it not being a nice person lol. Coercion lol gtfo.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 09:47 PM

The point is that the people he's taking about are using this study to make their point (which is just a big effort in stereotyping) and a guy only had to answer yes to one of those questions to be lumped in with the rest. Hell, when I was younger, I definitely did some of my flirting when I could purposefully talk to the woman 1 on 1 and if you think I'd consider myself "coercive" for that then you're high off your ass. It was smart because I actually got a chance to talk to her instead of just…

A lot of women do too. I don't see why it matters at all in the case of a lot of those questions, honestly. You want a world where nobody ever feels pressured about sex? Good luck. It's not possible. What will we do? Jail anyone who pesters their partners for sex, who get drunk with people and ends up hooking up, who isn't entirely honest about their character or intentions?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 09:40 PM

"Told her what she wanted to hear" If you are lying to someone about wanting a future with them or whatever just to get sex that is a violation of consent. Actually, that kind of deception does not vitiate consent to the act of sex. You can easily looks this up. It's hurtful, of course, but it doesn't make a woman unable to consent to have sex. She just trusted someone and they didn't live up to it. Lol you already lost your argument, when you are constantly begging someone to have sex with you …

I don't think they can do a lot of it as good as men, most of them. But practically none of them want to anyway. It is what it is. And you haven't addressed this whacko idea that, whether they can't or won't do them, or both, it's somehow wrong for men to want to sleep with women as a consequence lol
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 07:27 PM

Yeah but most violent men don't even consider actually shooting someone else. They might be an abuser but probably won't ever go homicidal. You're not really being reasonable.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 06:18 PM
2

Well, women could start doing more of those jobs then. What's stopping them? Lol I can't believe you are suggesting it's some kind of predation happening because of two silmultaneously true things: men do most of the dangerous dirty jobs and the straight ones like sex. Lol what a clown show.

Not to people like OP.

Sorry but the hypothetical is fine. A guy can choose not to be with a shitty version of you that you are choosing to be. The questions is, why are you trying to be with the guy in the hypothetical in the first place if you don't like him?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/26 01:29 PM

I'm just saying that your comment doesn't make any sense because of the hypothetical's premise.

Then why'd you pick him?

What the hell are you even complaining about? Men coming to you so that you can...do what you are paid to do? Lol Look I get it if someone spills their water bottle and you judge them for just not taking initiative and cleaning it up. But if a guy cant get into the gym or log into his account, just do your stupid job that a chimp could probably perform and don't think about it anymore. Yeesh.

I think staring is too subjective a concept, as I've seen several women claim a man is staring (in online content and irl) when he really wasn't doing any more than glancing her way more than once. As such, it's stupid to try to police it. I think dressing really sexy, or, for that matter, dressing in any way that makes you stand out, and then expecting not to be looked at, or only looked at in the way you deem appropriate, is very juvenile and self-absorbed.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 03:25 PM
2

I don't care at all what women choose to wear anywhere, really. But I dislike the ones who dress sexy and get mad at any guy who checks them out.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 03:17 PM

I think in the case of specific celebrities, that tracks, but it doesn't address the way people think and talk about age gap relationships generally. A lot of that talk is just aasumptions of predatory behavior, like yours. Based on pretty much nothing.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 03:07 PM

I don't really get how you reached this conclusion about the men in question. You poll them all or something?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/07/26 01:59 PM

Exactly. The issue comes from the posturing, the gas lighting. Women are just as shallow as men but a lot of people pretend otherwise.

How many men do you actually think "demand" sex on the first date. Like, go outside and get some fresh air. And men are absolutely judged harshly by many progressive men and women if their join a hobby group with the intention of getting a date.

The first bit is irrelevant to this conversation as we are assuming fraud has been commited already in this hypothetical (we are assuming the man accused of rape is innocent and the woman accused of cheating and trying to get money from someone who isn't the bio father is innocent). I'll agree that it could be grounds for a law suit (libel, defamation), but that's problematic to this post because that would mean the civil courts would ultimately decide the punishment in the form of a monetary se…

Social consequences vs prison or financial consequences lol. Not comparable.

You said the discussions about much more serious false accusations and their punishments made you bring up this topic. But it's apples and oranges.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/07/26 07:29 PM

Since you can easily verify the claim or show it's false, the penalty should just be whatever the cost of the paternity test is, maybe a small fine more. You can't seriously compare a false accusation of paternity fraud to a false accusation of rape. C'mon.

I dont agree with all of this, but the conversations stuff regarding humor hits home. I don't have to worry about being "nice" or "respectful" when joking around with my male friends. But I find there is always some kind of restriction when my female friends are around, because one of them will get offended by a rude joke and then it becomes this big thing in the group dynamic. It is not creepy for a man to enjoy and desire sex, for him to tell a potential partner that, or for him to decide to find someone more compatible if she doesn't feel the same way. She's just mad (and so are the women who condemn the guy) that she got attached during one date and then he bounced after communicating his intentions BEFORE they slept together lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 09:22 PM

Why would she be in a vulnerable position, exactly? If she consents to sex, then there's no issue. If she does not, and he rapes her, a recording would have no bearing on her decision in the moment.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 09:19 PM
2

It's not manipulation or deception any more than not putting "I need to everything to be paid for" is. You're naive, just like I said. What person, man or woman, would shoot themselves in the foot off the bat like that? Lol. You should assume from the start men are interested in sex. It's almost universally true.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 07:40 PM

Some of these women make a lifestyle out of kidding themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 07:23 PM

I'm not advocating for first or second date ultimatums, but he's still perfectly within his reasonable boundaries to prioritize sex. Most ltr couples who do are much happier, btw. So, cry about it but men don't owe women commitment if they desire a physical relationship as well as an emotional one.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 07:23 PM
1

Yeah that is still silly to call that deception. Maybe people should put those things out there at the start, but they don't because it is a complete romance killer. Anyone who says men should advertise very early on the important they place on sex is being foolish and naive. It's the same thing with a lot of women and princess treatment. They don't advertise on their dating apps or the first date all their icks and specific dealbreakers beyond things like no smokers etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 07:21 PM
1

No, you're weird way of looking at like some precalculated progression of interest is the issue. It's a fabrication. Men don't generally invest emotion with the intent to blackmail women into sex. But they may reach a point where no sex is a dealbreaker even if they have invested emotionally.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 05:17 PM
0

BS. Of course men show affection and give attention and love when they like someone. That doesn't mean they are deceptive creeps because they aren't satisfied with a sexless relationship. Men owe women exactly as much affection and attention as women owe men sex, which is zero. You're view is entitled.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 03:36 PM
0

No, he's not being manipulative. If she likes him and doesn't want to lose him, she needs to be open to sex. It not, he is free to find someone who wants that. Yeah, her feelings will get hurt, but thems the breaks.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 02:10 PM
0

Is the recording the problem or giving the ultimatum? I don't understand why the woman can't just be expected to give an answer and let it be done with. Who cares if she is recorded if she's honest? Nothing stops her from revoking consent at any time. Presuming he would not rape her if she did change her mind, what would be the harm in her response having been recorded?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 02:08 PM

Lol I'm sorry so men are bad because they would walk away from a non sexual relationship? That's so stupid. If they want a sexual relationship, they have every right to walk away.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/07/26 02:01 PM

I'm not asking to be antagonistic. I think I s a fair question given the information you are sharing. There are misleading studies out there, like the North Dakota article that gets shared around where it a man asked for sex twice once in his life he could be counted as coercive, and sociologists and psychologists have pointed out methodological errors and they largely get ignored and that results in, well, fear mongering, basically. I am not saying you are wrong. I'm questioning the data, which…

I'm not sure I'd be upset by it without knowing precisely how the therapist is going about using it in a therapy session. But I can tell you that, at the first sign of my therapist heading down a road where problems are attributed to masculinty or patriarchy or maleness, i would be gone. That shit is ideological and I have nothing to gain from listening to a sermon about the sins of my brothers and fathers every week.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/26 10:59 PM

If you're only going by looks, ok I'll agree. But it's also shallow to like someone for their money or status. And I also think the looks differential isn't that widez even though it's true men are more into looks on average. Women still fawn over hot guys. I think it's not so much that that is a problem or unexpected, but so many progressive minded women act like they are above it, like personality is more important to them, and that's kind of bullshit.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/26 10:42 PM

What is the range of behaviors covered in acquaitance or date rape in these figures?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/26 10:39 PM

So what are the chances of something like that happening on the first few dates, for ex? Because much of the study you linked deals with ltr abuse.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/26 04:15 PM

Are we talking intimate partner violence? Because that doesn't really apply to the first whole of dating, courtship. So, I'd say the concern over strangers is unwarranted from your previous point.

The guys who treat women like to hat baffle me because it's probably the best way to actually lose her lol Guys just don't talk about women in that way, typically. Like, it's rare for us to even discuss a good date at length. Yeah I feel bad for some women who can't O as easily. Guys do deal with the stigma that we should always be raring to go or else there's something wrong with us, though. /r/PurplePillDebate09/07/26 02:24 PM

At least I haven't added sexist generalizations
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 07:15 PM

I'm not an expert and neither are you. You generalized unfairly. You could just admit it and that it came solely from personal bias. It's not that uncommon for people to do that.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 04:21 PM

Yes, you're using anecdotes. They are not proof of generalized behaviour amongst certain group of people. So, the men you chose did that. Single father's are not looking for free daycare when they want to date lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 04:03 PM

The reason why this is unattractive, is because usually, those men look for women TO specifically look after their child(ren) whenever they are with the dad (him). This is obviously a huge turn-off! You have no way to show this assertion is anything but conjecture lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 03:51 PM

Doesn't matter. They wouldn't tell you. Just like you're saying my friends have been sexually assaulted but aren't telling me. Assumptions suck, kiddo.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 02:30 PM

The man on the phone tells him it's real. Obviously Bear noticed the changes and the freakiness. He just doesn't let himself really see it until it's too late. Hence why the film is about letting love lead you into a terrible partnership that hurts everyone involved. People do that all the time irl.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/26 02:29 PM

Or maybe you are just as naive and clueless as you insist I am lol. See how the game of conjecture doesn't serve us here? Your anecdotes aren't proof of anything.

Funny how you are comfortable making that assumption, but also the men in your life must be always be completley open about misandry they've experience. 1 in 9 men have been made to penetrate, btw. Turns out there a ton of women out there who are also rapists and creeps.

Yes, of course. But the guy still affirms that the love is real. You can't get around that. So, why doesn't Bear talk to her then when the guy offers? Because he's lying to himself still. And when he finally does talk to the real Nikki, that's when he stops lying to himself. Rape is about power and control and Bear never wanted that over her. He actually cared if it was not real love but allowed himself to believe it was real because he wanted it so badly. I'm not saying Bear isn't flawed. But h…

He believes it because he wants it to be real. Why would he ask the guy on the phoen if he didn't think on some level it is real? That would make no sense. He asks the guy and the guy says just because you chose it for her doesn't mean it isn't real and now you have an obligation to be with her. Bear does not believe the love isn't real at that point. He never wanted control, even when he made the wish. This movie is an allegory for toxic relationships and the way we lean on the concept of love in unhealthy ways; it's not about consent or shy guys being in any way culpable in toxic masculinty or whatever femslop you can throw at it.

Oh y ah I agree about that. But I don't think it matters. Bear made a wish like he'd have wished in his head without any novelty magic trinket. I wish she'd love me more than anything. He didn't know it was a curse, therefore he isn't responsible for the outcome. When he learns it works, he assumes, naively, that the love is real. The guy on the phone confirms it's real, or can be real and tells Bear he has a moral obligation to be there for the new Nikki because he wished for her and there's no…

Nope. He's operating under the assumption the her love is real most of the film. He does lie to himself for a brief period, he stays with her out of obligation, but he's terrified of her. He sleeps with her once right after the guy tells him the love is real and that he is morally obligated to keep being with her now that the wish has been made. He doesn't sleep with her at all after that. She kills Sarah and that's when he goes to back to the shop. That's when he knows for sure her love is fake…

Nah he's not. He has sex with her once after the phone call, during which he is told the love is real even if she didn't choose it for herself. He is as trapped as she is but he stays out of obligation and because he convinces himself the love is real. Once he knows it isn't, he's crushed. Bear is a fool and a liar. He's not a rapist. He never even objectified Nikki in the film. He never wanted power over her. He love her for who she was, which is exemplified when he watches her give the homeles…

Yes he wishes for her to love him. People wish for things like that all the time without willow branches to snap. This is part of the message lol. He doesn't know the wish will be real. He doesnt know until he is as trapped as she is. Nikki isn't a villain, but neither is bear. Love, obsessive love is the real villain. And I strongly disagree about what you say about sympathy for Bear because he's a guy. If we gender flipped this film, no woman would be saying he is the victim and if any did the…

He didn't sleep with her after that at all though. He didn't even want to be in a relationship with her, but he also couldn't deal with the idea that she doesn't actually love him because he wants it to be real. During the phone call to the willow company, the man even talks about how Bear has an obligation to stay with Nikki after the wish. He literally uses the words moral obligation. It couldn't be any more clear. Bear stays not out of some kind of misgynistic selfishness; he stays because he…

I think that love is very much an outside force, though. Or, at least, it's something people cant consciously control so it might as well be an outside force . Even people who leave their toxic partner still often pine for them, miss them, miss the love they felt of believe they felt. I truly believe this movie is about love and how it can be very toxic for all involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/26 04:55 PM

No I don't believe rapists are the victims of love. But Bear isn't a rapist. The only time he's happy being with Nikki sexually is before he knows her love isn't real. That little honeymoon phase when the red flags are small (so like to real life toxic relationships). By the time the unconscious Nikki asks him to kill her, he already knows it isn't real but, understandably, he can't bring himself to kill her or himself at that point (who would?). He asks "what's so bad about being with me" becau…

He still believed the love was real, though. And he asks to alter it for like a second and then immediately says cancel it when the guy tells him he can't amend it. He knows he should never have made the wish and immediately tries to undo it. The guy on the phone says the love is still real even though she didn't choose it (like how none of us choose to love the people we love; that's why parents still love their children even if they go astray, become toxic people; that's why abused partners st…

Nah you're confused by the phone call scene. Yeah he still wanted her to love him and the guy on the phone says "just because you chose it for her, doesn't mean it isn't real" so he's under the impression (probabaly because he's so desperate for her love) that she really does feel love for him. But when he knows it isn't real, he is crushed and doesn't actually want it. But by that time the only way out is to kill her or himself. He isn't the villain. He's the victim of his own love, which ends …

Nah Bear was a victim just like Nikki. He didn't knowingly curse her and wanted to end the curse immediately upon learning it was real. But that would mean one of them dying. He didn't want to kill Nikki, who he loves and he didn't want to die himself. All people would feel that way and do what he did, which is try to go on and control the out of control situation. This film is not about coercion or spinelessness. It's about loving someone who doesn't love you back, how unhealthy thst is, and it…

Bear was not a villain. The film was not about coercion. It was about staying in a toxic relationship and ignoring red flags because you think love is enough, or that love is all that counts. Think about it. The second Bear actually knows his wish came true, that the magic is real, he wants to make things right. But the only way to do that is for him to kill Nikki or kill himself. Not what I've read. The female ones seem to be allowed to stay up and be more sheltered from legal actions because of the safety excuse so women can have a private space to share critical safety cautions. And I've also read many of them contain similar content violations but are allowed to stay up because of this.

I don't even agree that the sites would have a pervasive effect like that. I'm not sure where you are even getting it. Anyway, it doesn't matter at all. If it's ok for women to have such forums, it should be perfectly ok for men to have them. Of course, like I said, both will still be completely open to abuse form disingenuous users, which should be enough for none of those forums to be supported in the first place without some sort of accountability system. Plenty of women already disincentivize women from having sex and relationships with men. So, we should probably be addressing that first, no? But let's not pretend you care about these men who are lonely and want more sex and relationships. You don't. That's just a cover for the real reason you don't like them having their own petty gossip forums, which brings us back to the double standard I talked about and the rationalization. That's not punishment lol. You're pretending it's punishment for men to discuss what you were like. Delusion. You have just highlighted the double standard and rationalization for the female versions (it's all about safety and finding out if the man is seeing more than one woman). What's wrong with men telling other men that some woman is bad in bed, anyway? They'll figure it out for themselves anyway.

From my quick google search: Male equivalent sites and groups focusing on women have emerged as localized retaliatory measures (e.g., "Are We Dating the Same Girl?"). The problem with both versions of such sites is abuse by disingenuous users. Women will spill fake tea to hurt a man who hurt them. Men may do the same, but also share lewd and private shit (women probabaly do that too, but a lot less). Neither is acceptable because of the lack of oversight and accountability. But, considering just how they are intended to be used, there should be no double standard. Plenty of women string men along while they date other men too.

Nah the only way to free her was to kill himself. Not a decision the vast majority would make right away, even in his circumstances. He's not a rapist. This movie is about toxic relationships and people staying for love while they ignore abuse from their partner.

This movie was not thematically about rape or even coercion. It was about staying in a toxic relationship, ignoring red flags and believing you are meant to be with one person even if they are abusive. The protagonist is not the villain. He did not knowingly curse Nikki. It's true that, for a time, he rationalized the changes he saw in her and convinced himself she really loved him. abuse and manipulation from someone with far more life experience and at a complete different stage of life happens far more often than not Do we know this, though? Are there any actual statistics or rational arguments that support this claim? The way I look at it is the same way people look at it when it comes to same sex relationships or anything that isn't traditionally heteronormative. Love is love.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 09:09 PM

Nah I've never seen a man rejected after shooting his shot then getting violent. I've seen guys be mean and hurl insults. But, like I've said, I've seen women do that way more often. Actually, the only ones I've ever seen get phsyical in those situations are women (slapping and throwing drinks). But usually the guys dealing with those women just laugh it off because the women aren't doing much damage. Other women I've seen jump straight to pure homophobic remarks.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 07:54 PM

It's not that I think the most extreme cases of reactions skew female. Of the times someone has been rejected and reacted with violence or threats of violence, I'm sure it skews male, in fact. It's just that does not happen very often in either case. But reacting with insults or throwing a drink or just getting really verbally upset, I've seen far more women do it.

In my experince, women handle rejection much worse than most men. This ranges from just feeling sad about it to actual violent responses. But I am talking about rejections strictly from first time encounters, not a situationahip or something like that fizzling out.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 01:32 PM

Yeah it sucks when people do that, doesn't it? You should tell more women to stop doing it too.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 01:01 PM

I just don't think it happens anywhere near as often. Any approach where you actually show interest and try to actually make a move requires a great level of confidence and the knowledge you will likely be rejected (well, for guys anyway). Lots of women just aren't very good at handling that. And, despite the popular narrative, women tend to handle rejection waaaay worse than men, from what I've witnessed over the years. The more conventionally attractive they are, the worse they handle it, imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/26 03:45 PM

Men can reject women upfront, sure. But that requires the woman to have stuck her neck out in the first place. Most don't.

I mean I just explained why I think they don't in the comment above. When women say they want any quality in a partner, it means they want it from a man who they would already date or have sex with. A lot of people hear that and say "well of course why would she consider someone she wouldn't have sex with?" and completely ignore that this just shows that confidence was never a very serious deciding factor. Women respond romantically to confidence displayed by men they are already physically attracted to. There is no amount of confidence that will offset her physical icks. That's just a lie they tell (probably more to themselves than other people). The super confident average guy usually just gets friend zoned because he makes her feel good about herself with his vibe but the second she thinks he seriously wants to fuck, she's out.

I don't think it's a feminist thing. And I'm plenty critical of feminism. If the lead project coordinator had been a man, Grace still would have been forced into the mission because they had no choice. The question about how audiences would react would be interesting, though. Would they sympathise more if Grace was a woman and forced to go save the world? Probably. But that doesn't mean the film is trying to make a point about men or women.

People who score high on agreeableness are also often doormats and display toxic empathy. I'd rather be able to stick up for myself. Here is an idea: it's 2026 and women are doing very well. Pay for your own meals you broke ass whiners.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/26 03:54 PM

Yeah that's the idea. They pay for everything because of some outdated gender role crap.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 11:06 PM

Generally, sure. I'd say, in this particular case, it's pretty one sided lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 10:41 PM

I think it's a distinction without a difference. Obviously, the woman who prefers men who pay does feel entitled to that treatment. You're just playing with rhetoric to make it seem less shallow and ass backwards traditionalist lol. Imagine how most women, even the ones who display such entitlement, would react to a man who says "I prefer women who fuck on the fist date and I would most likely never date anyone who doesn't do that" lol but yeah I guess you could just say that's a completely reas…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 08:27 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 08:19 PM

Sorry can you give me an example. Because to my mind a shallow portrayal of a blonde woman isn't really comparable to the character of Forest Gump.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 07:55 PM

I don't see how that removes their agency in the decision lol. You're just making excuses. If a guy wants to pay, he's doing what you say you're don't. If a woman accepts, she's doing what I'm saying. At no point did I say men should still be offering or that they didn't behave like you suggest. So, are they forcing women to have their shit paid for?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 07:54 PM

It's pretty shallow.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 07:34 PM

And?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 07:33 PM

Let's circle back to OP's point regarding entitlement lol. Maybe he used the wrong word and selfish or greedy would serve better.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 06:10 PM

I tend to agree. It's like they all know about this tradtionka gender role expectaion, they all aknowledge it exists, they all readily say that are willing to split the bill, yet so many of them still try to defend not following through on that. Oh the inviter needs to pay (convenient considering the other traditional expectations about asking people out and also why?). Oh some guys are going to offer anyway to compete. So what, you have to accept the offer? Cognitive dissonance at it's finest.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 06:06 PM

No one should be surprised to begin with. It's 2026 and women are independent, aren't they? Why would the invited decline if he asked to split the bill beforehand when she would have accepted if he didn't ask? Hmmm?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 06:03 PM

It only gives them the upper hand if women accept the offer though. Like, I agree with the expectations going the way of the dinosaur, but men keep offering and women keep accepting. If either one of them changed their part of it, he would not be able to pay for the date. He would have to force it somehow to make it happen, and I'm pretty sure if you, as an individual, insists the restaurant split the bill, theyll do that instead of acquiescing to his demand that he covers the whole bill. Truth …
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 06:02 PM

Why don't we just assume it's 50/50 from the start, though?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 05:35 PM

It's an outdated tradition and it absolutely is entitlement to accept that tradition instead of challenging it just because it benefits you lol
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 05:33 PM

BS. You also said yes to the date, so it's also on you. The date doesn't occur if only half the parties agree to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 05:32 PM

Kind of a cop out though. If a man wants to pay, insist you go 50/50. Why can't you do that?

Western society is absolutely biased toward women. Try talking to women about ideas that go against feminism in some way. You'll find yourself labelled a pick me enemy pretty damned quick lol. You can, but a bunch of assholes will give you a hard time about it. This is the reality for anyone who doesn't swallow every drop of progressive Kool aid these days. This is just pure sexism and it's also majorly gender essentialist. I might agree that if we lived in some lawless society where nobody was socialised to be good, more men would be bad. But so too would more women. Women are not more emotionally stable, intelligent, or virtuous than men, as a collective.

Other than Temple Grandin, I'm struggling to think of a film that is even about a developmentally disabled woman. I certainly can't think of one that plays it off as a joke. They don't make those kinds of movies and any male character seen to be taking advantage of such a female character would be universally hated by women.

The only thing different about it is that men complain about that because women bitch about not being equally represented in practically every role that is about leadership and success (politics and corporate) lol. Before I click on this link, is it going to tell me how many women face violence of this nature after rejecting a man? Because if not, I'm really not interested in reading it. Fuck your gut feelings and suppositions. I'll go by the actual data every day of the week. Random criminal violence is extremely rare for both genders, and significantly more likely to happen to men. Women shoudn't be afraid to reject a man's advances. They have much more to fear from the men they know personally, often th…

I'm talking about statistics, not anecdotes. Anecdotes can be used to justify all manner of sins. At least statistics are impersonal.

If anyone behaves like shit grow a spine. Rudeness is nothing. Move on with your life. You can speak up all you like, as can the people who will call you brittle Women are loud about shitty men and even non shitty men all the time. Get used to the pushback. It's not going away either lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 06:50 PM

How many women face life threatening attacks or harassment for simply rejecting advances of men? Of I don't know you tell me. Let's see some actual statistics and verifiable, reliable data
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 06:32 PM
3

Well, grow a fucking spine. Micro aggressions lol. Cry me a river. Let's see the statistics on micro aggressions and uncomfortable situations , btw. You guys just think with your feelings and that's why it's so easy to make fools of you on these forums and in these discussions.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 06:31 PM
2

Call it employment then. Whatever. The point is nobody is obligated to pay you for raising your kids lol. Like I said, it you can find someone who will, lucky you! Until someone pays you, it's not comparable to working a job that pays a wage. What a dumb argument lol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 06:21 PM

It's a very small gap determined by individual choices. Dont blame me. Blame the Harvard educated Nobel prize winning feminist who unraveled these lies you believe. You want to say women should be socialized differently so they make different choices? Have at it. But don't lie and blame the patriarchy or anyone else for women's individual choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 06:12 PM
3

That could be true for you personally, but statistics don't care about you personally. The stats don't back you up. The perceived vs actual risk fear gap has been studied since the 90's. Women's fear of being attacked by random men is way above the actual risk of that occurring.

No idea what your are even trying to say. What definitions?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 06:07 PM
4

Lol well I don't know what to tell you. Laws dont prevent people from trying to break them. They just allow us to seek redress, which she did. And I doubt she's giving us the whole picture. I guess she could have had a very stupid employer who wasn't aware that has been illegal since like the 70's and he'd likely not get away with it lol. She even said it was easy.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 06:06 PM
0

Sounds like the law is working for you then lol. And you can choose not to be a mother. And in lots of places, in Canada for example, parents can split generous maternity/paternity leaves but women overwhelmingly still take the lion's share of those leaves. That's also a choice. There is not sexism in that. It sucks that men and women are different biologically, but it's not one gender's fault lol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 06:00 PM
5

No, the statistics about women being criminally violently victimized by random men do NOT back you up. Fearing the men you actually know already is much more reasonable because the stats for show that's where the real danger lies. Not from guys you are on a first date with or pass by on the street. Do some research.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:58 PM
4

This is Reddit. You could be a liar or misrepresenting the situation lol. New here? And it sounds like justice was served and it all worked out. Problem? Theft is illegal but that doesn't mean theives stop stealing. We hold the ones we catch and convict accountable when we can. Sounds like your employer was held accountable.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:56 PM
5

Ok so who pays for parents to raise the kids they chose to have? Where is this remuneration for labour supposed to come from? Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:54 PM
3

Women choose to be mothers. They don't have to be. I suggested that women still experience systematic issues like being paid less for the same job, with the same experience, and the same hours. This has been illegal for many many years and it doesnt happen much.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:53 PM
1

Lol the tired old hit dogs will holler line. Back up what you are saying or gtfo. You have not argument here but a biased, substanceless opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:52 PM
3

And you have perfectly illustrated the fear gap studies by the DoJ for decades; women fear men they don't know personally significantly more than they ought to and it's purely an emotional reaction.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:48 PM
1

Women choose their careers and the hours worked just like men do. If you want to argue there is a motherhood penalty, I would agree, but that isn't some intentional force working against you. Women choose to be wives and mothers even if they are socialized to want to be those things.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:46 PM
3

The point is that the perceived risk is much higher than the actual risk. This is a fact. Try not let your emotions shape your understanding of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:45 PM
9

No, he's right. Look up the 'fear gap'. It's been studied by the DoJ since the 1990's. Women vastly overperceive the danger they face from random criminal violence. Conversely, men underperceive their own risk (they are typically 4-8x more at risk from random criminal violence than women).
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:43 PM
5

What was the outcome? You have just highlighted how that employer, if they are indeed doing what you said, broke the law and that there are clear avenues for redress.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:38 PM
0

no it doesn't. "wage gap" means men earn more than women. You can explain it by counting the hours worked but you are still left with the question. You are explaining why it happens, you are not saying it doesn't happen. Wtf are you saying here? The wage gap exists in that, when you don't account for those things, only work with averages in those fields, there is a gap. But when you consider one group works longer hours and more years than the other, it makes total sense and is not a justificati…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:37 PM
1

You're wrong about the wage gap. Claudia Goldin, a prominent Harvard feminist, won the noble prize for her almost 30 year study on it and she debunked a lot of femenist myths surrounding it. She found there is still a motherhood penalty and some systemic issues, but there is no boys club keeping women down in the corporate world, for ex. There is no rampant sexism causing women to be making less that men doing the same jobs with the same credentials and levels of experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 05:31 PM
1

How do you know what men "as a whole" do or don't care about. We aren't a monolith. Maybe you don't care, but most men do.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 01:28 PM
1

As many as there are women who have those qualities.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/26 12:37 PM

Boundaries are not controlling. Lots of people think they are, but they are wrong. If my wife was going on a week long trip with a male friend, it would be her choice. How I act afterwards is mine. And actions have consequences. I'd communicate how it makes me feel and that I'll likely be quite resentful afterwards and if she wants to avoid that she knows the right decision to make.

Yeah it is and arguing is very addictive. Like I said, people won't opt out so here we are. What tickles me is that progressives, especially progressive women, seem shocked that their own logic and rhetorical tactics can be used against them. Oh my goodness, you mean I can be called privileged and sexist too!!!!

No, empathy is not actually owed by anyone to anyone else. That's how you'd like it to be. And I think he makes a good point about safety. Why should I have to worry about how some woman feels if she's walking past me at night? Why should I have to intervene on her behalf and put myself in harm's way when the liklihood she would do the same, instead of just calling the police, is quite low?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/26 11:59 PM

Well, even confining this to sex and dating, you'd have to be ok with men being pick up artists and using deceit (not crossing the threshold of illegality) to get laid. That is one example.

The only way to win the game of identity politics is not to play, but not enough people on either "side" will opt out to make a difference.

I get that, but don't you realize that there has been constant messaging about male privilege and white privilege for decades? You can't even handle it for the duration of this manosphere shit. Welcome to our world. It doesn't feel good to be called privileged and treated like your opinion is less than or your experiences are less than. But men didn't start this shit with the privilege; women are now being called out for theirs by disgruntled and disillusioned men and that's just the way it is. …

Rape is a legal term. It's not some nebulous feminist buzzword, despite how people like you try to make it so. The law distinguishes between fraud in the factum and fraund in the inducement, so it is categorically not rape if, for example, some guy lied and said he loves a woman just to get in her pants. It is not automatically rape if one or both partners are drunk and have sex. It is not automatically rape if one or both partners doesn't explicitly ask for consent before doing a sexual act. It…

I mean, I certainly don't want women to feel unsafe around me. But I also resent the expectation that I have to worry about that in a lot of situations. Like if I'm walking at night and a woman is walking near me. She can cross the street if she's feeling unsafe. That's an emblematic situation for this discussion. In some situations, a woman somehow gets this idea that she's the center of the universe or something and I'm supposed to respect that? The idea has become so pervasive I've seen some …

Men don't support each other enough. If we banded together like feminist women do, there would literally be nothing we could not accomplish. But we are too wrapped up in the chase and competition for status and sex/relationships not to cast aside brotherly bonds.

Not worth it. Never stick your dick in crazy. And that's what this shit test is: a red flag for crazy.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 04:19 PM

Muslims, for ex, don't really respect women, generally. That is just one way they clash with progressive ideals. The more people raising their kids under such religious or cultural tenants, the worse society is going to be for women, queer people. And Muslims don't shame having kids. They want to get married and propagate. Its not necessarily about whiteness, but your ignoring some very stark realities that will probably come back to bite you if you believe in progressive ideals.

I'm sorry who are you talking to? It seems like you are thinking of arguments you've had about RP talking points with others who you obviously disagree with. What does that have to do with me? This may be a sign to take a little step back from Reddit and this sub and get yourself some fresh air. People who look for a fight tend not to be in the best state of mind to think clearly. /r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 02:23 PM

Individually, they shouldn't be expected to. Collectively, there are and will continue to be ramifications to our society that stem from this behaviour. It's not really anyone's fault. But it is what it is.

I mean your second paragraph is extreme and definitely not common, but yes men express their aggression in physical ways that woman really haven't ever been able because of the diffeence in physical prowess between men and women. Women practice relational aggression almost exclusively.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 02:19 PM

Not to nitpick but men and women experience very similar levels of aggression, they just tend to express it in different ways.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 01:09 PM

It usually helps to gender flip this kind of thing to see how it actually sounds to the person being asked. I think in this day and age asking a woman on a first date "what man do you admire?" would be off-putting to them.

/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 06:49 PM

Ill conceded those figures have more followers individually, but there is an ocean of brain rotted feminist or female empowerment influencers online peddling their own inate and sexist opinions. Stop excusing them.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/26 06:37 PM
3

Well I think the most obvious "trade" would be that both sides stop shit talking about gender online. That right there would end pretty much all of it. If you want something that is a bit more interesting: Women: stop getting mad at being looked at or ogled and sexualized by men, especially if you wear revealing clothing. Men: stop all forms of verbal and physical harassment based on a woman's appearance or presence (catcalling, groping, etc)

I'm going to ingore your condescendion and ask you if you'd still have any problem with this idea if it was July instead of June.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 07:03 PM
2

There is no need to make personal attacks. I asked a simple question and you haven't answered it. You don't have to, but that doesn't make me a moron. Try to show a bare minimum of respect, please.

How is celebrating the nuclear family flooding the zone?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 05:11 PM
2

I'm just going by what you said. I'm pretty sure celebrating the nuclear family, even if it's a cultrural reaction, is not even close to being a Nazi lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 05:01 PM
1

What "zone" are you referring to, exactly? I mean, not directly infringing on someone is good and it's also good that you get to practice free expression so long as it doesn't cross that line? If you want to argue people should not disgree with each other and celebrate values which some (on both sides) find oppose each other, then I don't know what to tell you. Nobody has any obligation to do anything beyond respecting the physical boundaries of the events in question. They can talk about them, …
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 04:59 PM
1

Yeah but are they actually going to stop pride events or infringe upon them or is this just separate events? I have a hard time agreeing with any justification for condemning the entire idea as hateful unless some very direct infringment is happening.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 04:41 PM
2

I mean that seems like a distinction without a difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 03:54 PM
3

Are you actually comparing the nuclear family to Nazis and white supremacists?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 03:53 PM
1

I just don't see how it even matters. We all can't start calling dibs on months of celebration. If you don't want to be a part of x,y,z then just don't go. Simple.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 03:52 PM

Can you share the link to these men's comments? I've never heard or seen this sentiment anywhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/26 02:14 PM

Well I dunno maybe I was getting some delay on my end. Anyway, thanks for removing the post. It probably should have happened much sooner though.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:55 PM

He's literally still replying to me
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:47 PM

Thank God. So most men are not violent criminals. Thank you. The light finally broke through the clouds lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:46 PM

Mods, do you think maybe this person has enough warnings about civility to warrant a suspension? Anyone?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:46 PM

I mean obviously logic went bye bye for this person long before they made this post, if they ever possessed it to begin with
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:42 PM

The vast majority of men dont do those crimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:37 PM

Nah nothing really strengthens this obviously misandrist drivel. You could strengthen it by engaging in good faith and aknowledging when you're wrong, though. Too hard?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:15 PM

Yes you did. You dont know what you're talking about and every single person commenting is aware of that. Read the room. Also, of you hate Redditors so much (you keep saying "typical redditor") then get off the sub. Nobody is going to miss you.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:06 PM

And you've misinterpreted all of them lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:01 PM

How many men commit these crimes? What percentage of the male population?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 09:00 PM

You didn't mention crime at all in the OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 08:56 PM
-1

I addressed that you didn't say the g string thing, I just carried your argument to its logical conclusion. And if you really think, operating from our current societal position on modesty, that we would end up like the Victorians, well I dunno what to tell you. If people suddenly were a bit more modest we all wouldn't have ankle fetishes lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 08:51 PM
1

This is not a real argument, imo. "Men can and sometimes do sexualize non sexual body parts and other things, so it doesn't matter if I walk around in a g string". I know you didn't say that bluntly, but it's what it boils down to. Like, c'mon. Clearly there is not hard line as to what men will sexualize, but that doesn't mean sexualization can't be mitigated by modest dress, especially it we limit this to western societies.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 06:42 PM
1

I mean, it very obviously does (not sure if you are just stating it or disagreeing).
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 06:39 PM
4

It definitely can. There is a wealth of data to back this up. Start with the International Sexuality Description Project, for ex. It's important to note that there are no absolute rules or designations of morality based on a person's past sexual experience. But, promiscuity and other factors are absolutely one valid predictor of interpersonal dynamics and things like attachment styles and the ability to be happy in long term monogamous relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 05:18 PM
0

Well, they do both actually. Very few women, or people in general, have such strong convictions that they actually do anything besides complaining online.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 05:04 PM

What are you basing this on besides clear bias?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 03:32 PM
2

Good comeback. I imagine your highschool expeience was a doozy.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 01:45 PM

I'm not OP. Never said it was worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/26 12:09 AM

I dunno. You scathingly critiqued RP, so I did the same for femslop. Why do you care so much lol?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 11:01 PM

My first comment simply pointed out that femslop is the same as manosphere garbage. So, no I did not defend what you're talking about
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 05:54 PM
1

I didn't say it was worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 04:07 PM

I don't know who you are talking to. It's not me. I don't follow the manosphere. I just don't sort the same shit into two piles.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 03:50 PM

Can you cite any studies or academic material that supports the idea that women are naturally "smarter" than men to a degree that would result in an imablance in things like university entrance? Do those studies take into account the kinds of educational systems we funnel both sexes into and if they are geared towards one sex or the other, whether they are biased or not? An issue like that isn't as cut and dry and acknowledging that men are innately more physically strong. There are not systems …
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:47 PM
2

Well you're ignoring the diffeence between physical sex characteristics and things like policies supporting groups in education. And let's not pretend men aren't punished, socially, for being physically stronger and bigger. It's practically the only reason misandrist talk around sexual assault exists. We all get viewed as potential predators by a lot of women simply because of the natural phsyical prowess we share with the minority of men who commit such heinous acts. That's not public policy, b…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:38 PM
1

Oh so I'm "telling on myself" by disagreeing with your belief. Lol ok then. I know that all the studies they have done show that there are men who identify as straight but, like you say, actually aren't firmly on that end of the spectrum of sexual orientation. But they also show us that the number of men like that is the minority.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:34 PM
1

It's as valid as someone who believes in the Bible and thinks being gay is a sin.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:25 PM
2

Who cares?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:17 PM
3

Depends on what you mean by a lot. Percentage wise, the vast majority identify as straight and aren't just fronting.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:16 PM
2

It's possible for individuals to be better, but no their is no better sex. The point is that when we see an imablance, favouring whoever, we either should work to fix it or not. It shouldn't matter the gender of the people being compared.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:13 PM
-1

Yeah it's not at all about cleanliness for me. It's about character. I find the idea of a sexually indiscriminate partner a turn off, like they had no self control in the time before we met.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:11 PM
4

Lady you're calling men gay for caring about body count. Like, you have no business telling anyone else to make sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:10 PM
9

Lol can we stop calling straight men gay when we don't like their preferences, please?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 02:08 PM
3

When boys do better than women, in education outcomes, for example, we seek parity, we view it as an unacceptable imbalance that must be the result of systemic sexism. When girls do better, it's "oh that's just how it's supposed to be" lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 01:59 PM
3

What? Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 01:56 PM
6

Lol and she posts a femslop meme
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 01:56 PM
1

Femslop is the same but the message just makes women feel like "the prize" or whatever and it basically says all men are garbage whenever dating comes up. Not really that different.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 01:56 PM
3

The point of femslop is to make money. The empowerment part is just the grift. It's true that some women may feel empowered by taking part in all that garbage, but you could say the same thing about some men and RP/manosphere content.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 01:54 PM
2

It would only be mansplaining if I was condescending to you and not just for any reason; it would have to be because you're a woman and despite your knowledge about the subject and despite you not soliciting my opinion. I was polite. I offered my view on a Reddit sub you chose to post on knowing full well people might disagree and offer a different view. So, yeah you don't know what mansplaing is lol
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 01:39 PM
2

In my experince, the only people who want to compare misandry and misogyny by their outcomes are misandrists and misogynists. Misandry is real. It's wrong. Period. We don't need to even talk about how wrong it is compared to anything else, do we? Just stop doing it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/26 12:45 AM
2

It would be so nice if they weren't. Or even if the hatred wasn't so easily dessiminated across the globe.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 11:23 PM
0

That doesn't negate anything I've said. Not every killing of a woman by a man or men is motivated by hatred of a gender. Not even if a state government is doing what you're saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 11:22 PM
1

I stopped reading half way through your tirade. But I'll just say that I didn't say men and women are exactly the same or that women in a matriarchy would be exactly the same as men in a patriarchy (as if we were a real life version of that braindead Netflix movie, Ladies First). But it would be reasonable to assume certain things, like women would be in public and private leadership positions moreso than men and that policies and laws and the general social dynamic would be seen to benefit wome…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 08:10 PM
2

Well I'm just going by my experience, as I'm sure you are, but I have generally seen men, especially recently, not react that way to those pull/push games. I dunno so much about women, though.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 04:37 PM
1

We are able to hypothetically talk about matriarchy so it's not like it's opening a fucking mystery door on a gameshow lol And if matriarchy is just gender flipped patriarchy, then we know pretty much how things would go and who would be seen to benefit from such a system. Anyway, I'll remember to respond to all those women saying we should try matriarchy that it's just too much of an unknown to risk it lol. And I never said you are championing matriarchy but it also seems like you'd prefer it t…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 04:15 PM
3

That's more about oligarchy. Our struggle is a class struggle and all this gender competition is just a distraction, imo.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 02:19 PM
4

Well it's not impossible. Is matriarchy the flipped version of patriarchy? Because if it is then it would mean women hold more positions of power, they have more social control and privileges, they are more dominant across pretty much all areas of society. I think there is this myth going around that a matriarchy would save the world because women are just better than men, which, of course, is stupid. I laugh when I see those posts about how elephants are matriarchal so people should be too.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 02:17 PM
5

I don't think that's really true, even generally. I guess it depends on what you mean by effort when it comes to the woman (because womens' effort is different than mens' in courtship). Most guys I know absolutely go cold if a woman plays games or plays hard to get. For us, it's a sign that we will be jumping through hoops and it will be a major time and effort sink.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 02:07 PM
1

I don't know what you're talking about, but I know it has nothing to do with my point.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/26 12:56 PM
8

I disagree. I think constant anti-male messages have a profound effect on developing minds, both male and female. It contributes to depression and anxiety, especially among young men, and promotes and normalizes cruelty and forms of gender essentialism. As for rights, can you tell me which rights men currently enjoy that women do not? The one example I can think of is the reversal of Roe v Wade which makes abortion laws state specific and men don't have any commensurate reproductive rights to be…
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 05:26 PM
8

Nah just change your algorithm. Out of sight, out of mind. That was your advice about online misandry. Now you're moving the goalposts.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 03:40 PM
1

You could just use different terms. Physical aggression = violence. Saying mean words = rudeness. Financial abuse = coercion or how about just abuse? Using the term violence for most of it is basically a tactic to make some smaller issues seem bigger than they are.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 01:45 PM
2

You don't know what an idealogue is? Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 01:30 PM
8

If this worked, we wouldn't be so worried about the big bad manosphere, would we? It's ok ladies, just ignore it and do some gardening lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 01:28 PM
2

Perfectly said.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 01:24 PM
2

Nah it's only a valid thing to say if a man or someone else is claiming that misandry is worse than misogyny. But I never hear it or see it posted in that context. It's always a person, usually a man, complaining about misandry and then some asshole comes in with that line to dismiss him.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 01:23 PM
1

Murder is the leading cause of non obstetric causes of pregnant women when you compare to any other single non obstetric cause. But it only accounts for a relatively low death rate among pregnant women if you look at all the causes.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 01:13 PM
2

I honestly think you can do both lol like it or not, some people are more attractive to others because of their ethnicity and their nationality. That doesn't mean that it's inherently immoral for them to pair up.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 12:13 AM

We still have some privileges, but women have many of their own nowadays. It's not the case that women are this oppressed group in NA now.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 11:38 PM

In almost all places in NA, it's 4-8 more dangerous for man when it comes to random criminal violence. Fuck even the domestic violence rates aren't that skewed to women. So, no.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 11:37 PM
4

I don't know what you mean but I know that, where I'm from, our government is moving to make every instance of murder done by men to women classified as femicide.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 11:31 PM
-1

Yeah I wouldn't agree that all those examples are violence. Like financial abuse. I'm not saying it's good. It's just not what I'd consider violence.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 11:13 PM
3

I just mean I don't think every time a man murders a woman it's because he hates her for being a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 11:11 PM
3

Ok
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 11:11 PM
1

But if someone does care what she says, it matters. You don't get to determine if it does or doesn't.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 09:13 PM
2

I think violence is physical. It's a relatively new idea that words or silence is violence.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 09:12 PM
-5

I agree but I think many more women need to hear this than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 09:12 PM
-2

This isn't accurate unless you specify that you are talking about causes which are not obstetric in nature.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 09:11 PM
-2

Honestly, I don't think all crimes commited by men against women are motivated by gender issues. I think women are often targets, not because of their womanhood, but because of their level of physical prowess. Not the answer you'll like I'm sure, but I do think terms like femicide are disingenuous because they seek to put every instance of violence done to womenby men as an issue of misogyny. Let the downvotes commence.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 09:09 PM
2

I think it's more about recognizing that your heritage in certain places is an advantage. It's not one you chose. And when youre not happy in NA because of all the garbage surrounding gender dynamics these days, then I completely understand heading to less troubled waters in search of connection and happiness. You seem to want these guys to be miserable and like it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 08:55 PM

I don't care. Think about what you post before you do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 06:22 PM

Ok so they don't work all the time. No tactic does. Lol are you seriously saying you didnt respond to it so it must never work? Lol how old are you?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 04:47 PM

I think most of your argument kind of rests on what you think "should" be rather than what is.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 04:43 PM

It doesn't even matter. The question is do these tactics work? Not are they nice?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 04:33 PM
2

I think it's more you doing that lol assuming these women are so lowly they must not be capable of making their own choice
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 03:58 PM
1

Yes, I prefer to keep my ability to think critically and examine my own biases.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 03:47 PM
1

And they get real upset typically if they think a man only wants them for sex or their body.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 03:28 PM
4

Wouldn't this apply to women emphasizing, sexualizing their own physical attributes? Seems like this logic can be used to excuse objectification from either gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 03:01 PM
3

It's not necessarily shitty, though. That's where your bias comes in.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 03:00 PM
1

Oh well i don't have problem with any parent giving reasonable advice that doesn't perpetuate harmful stereotypes. I'm not gaslighting you.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 02:49 PM
-1

They don't tell their daughters about all men being potential rapists lol. Not good fathers anyway. Good fathers would preach awareness that men like sex and they may not always be upstanding in their pursuit of it, but that doesn't mean they are going to rape and kill. Yeesh.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 02:02 PM
1

Nah the man v bear shit was disgusting sexist propaganda. It's indefensible.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 01:59 PM
1

No, the reason for Trump is because of progressive brain rot and men, and a lot of women, thinking it's stupid.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 01:00 PM
2

I didn't say there wasn't
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/26 12:57 PM
-3

First off it's highly debatable that the harms caused by misandry are a metaphorical papercut. And my point stands: you are using the argument that something really bad justifies something else that is just bad (or justifies not taking the latter seriously). Yes you clearly prioritize women. That's why I'm an egalitarian. Feminism isn't about equality. It's about getting even.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 09:45 PM
1

To them we all are. Or, even if we aren't, they will rationalize so they can freely treat us as if we are.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 09:14 PM
3

Truly baffling. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so fucking sad.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 09:13 PM
0

Now you're comparing outcomes. Even if one set is worse, they are still both bad. So, you're wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 09:12 PM
1

Ok so it turns out if you can't have sex with the people you want, being told to fuck the same sex isn't a real productive idea
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 08:05 PM
2

Where did I say either side did anything first?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 07:39 PM
2

It's not even about winning. Sure some dumb guys will think they can take on any other guy and end up being dead wrong, but that doesn't mean they didn't expect the other guy to hit back lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 07:01 PM
1

And does that make you want to have sex with women?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 07:00 PM
1

Nah it's all sexist rhetroic, stereotyping, and just plain grift. Feminists (a lot of them) are more like flat earthers than anyone. They will pearl clutch to keep their sense of community and belonging harder than any fucking manosphere grifter. Truth doesn't matter to these postmodernist wretches. They just care about spinning their narrative and making sure it isn't challenged in any way shape or form.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 05:54 PM
5

Yeah but you also mentioned their privilege, so that means you are the enemy. Way it goes with a lot of these women.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 05:52 PM

Wow the misandrist posts starting to pile up already lol. So many women just see their gender as the "better" one. So delusional.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 05:49 PM
5

All I hear is that it's not bad when women do the exact same thing. It's silly. It's all propaganda and it's all garbage. Those women are scum and all they are doing is damage while they (and you) act like they are little angels doing righteous work. Blech. It's disgusting.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 05:16 PM
2

Yeah but you can't compare the act of perusing someone in the group your sexual orientation aligns with to a group you are not attracted to. I'm not trying to make a bigoted comparison, here, but it makes as much sense to suggest hetero men who are sexually frustrated to fuck sheep. It's just a really stupid thing to say, like if a gay man said he was horny but was having issues finding a hook up and someone said, "well, why don't you just fuck a woman". How is that a real response?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 05:14 PM
4

Most of them aren't genuine. They are for social media attention and money. I don't feel patronized. You can keep on believing that the flood of anti male sentiment online is genuine, but I promise you all of it just feeds directly into even more misogyny. I can't see how it's worth it given the outcomes will only get worse for everyone. Wait and see. This kind of progressive garbage is why you got Trump. And he wont be the last of his ilk to gain prominence because of these low life influencers…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 05:04 PM
0

It's 100% propaganda. In a lot of cases, this content is monetized and there is actual incentive to be as nasty and divisive as possible. I don't like the manosphere crap either. But if I pretended it wasn't prevalent, you'd have something to say about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 04:54 PM
2

That doesn't matter. It's exists. It is widespread. It's been normalized. Just because you don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't significant. I don't see any manosphere content on my socials. Should we ignore that stuff? Are women just complaining about nothing?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 04:52 PM
1

It's not even remotely the same thing and it's actually really offensive to gay people to use this inane argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 04:49 PM
0

Are you going to act like the absolute flood of rad fem, straight up anti-male videos and content on most social media platforms isn't real or significant? You'd have to be blind lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 04:33 PM
-1

I agree with you partly, but there is a lot of propaganda against men in the west. To deny this is to truly have your head in the sand.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 04:27 PM
0

I think he's not wrong, but I also don't know why you two are going so hard at each other. You are correct that violent people are typically stupid. But the other user is right about what women expect when they act this way vs what men expect. Men who throw punches know almost to a certainty they will get hit back. Women, not so much.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 02:25 PM

Clearly some do have to try because they keep pumping out shitty lies lol
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 02:01 PM
1

How many men? Because I really don't think it's enough to really have moved the goalposts.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 12:57 PM
1

I mean, I never said I look at boobs and judge a woman's character in the first place. I would judge her if she walked around half naked and then complained about getting looked at, though. Or if she expressed an entitlement to control how other people use their eyeballs in public.

I disagree. How you dress can absolutely say something about your character, and how you react to people reacting to how you dress can too. I couldn't care less what they do so long as they don't get in my business.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 09:23 PM
1

I never said they couldn't do that. But when we discuss this issue I can absolutely point out they have no leg to stand on when defending that kind of position. They can feel that way and tell off anyone they like; but that doesnt mean they are right.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 09:05 PM

It's not about what I want. It's about what you are entitled to. You are not entitled to that level of insulation from the world around you when you choose to enter a public space.

And if I was on a Spanish beach I would adjust my expectations.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 08:55 PM

Yeah that is not proof of anything. I do think staring is rude. I'm just not so silly as to think I can do anything about it if someone stares. They don't owe you anything. Period.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 07:04 PM
2

I understand many people don't agree with you and i am one of them. Prove I'm the minority. I'll wait. I have never bullied anyone lol what a silly assumption I don't pick fights for people looking at other people. Who would be such a moron as to do such a thing? I don't own any person. And no person owns me. Hence: my eyeballs, my choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 06:53 PM

And you can wear revealing clothing and get ogled. Don't bitch I guess.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 06:40 PM

Thanks. I know lots of women hate when we say this but we literally can't control looking and visually lusting to a great extent. It's like trying not to look at a bad car accident as you drive by for us (sorry if that's a crude analogy). And, to be clear, I in no way condone creepy ass behaviour. If I can look but not do anythign else, so can any other man.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 06:30 PM
2

A person in a wheelchair is in front of you is it okay to ogle them? Yes lol. My eyeballs, my choice. I'll look at at whatever I want. However, your analogy confuses me lol. Why dont you go to the 1920s and ogle the freaks? Yeah, why the hell not!? Are you real or just so self absorbed you cant understand human interactions? I understand you would like to control them more than you have business or authority to lol
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 06:27 PM

I was just talking about looking, though. Sorry if it wasn't clear; I actually appreciated your original comment because you said it's not that big a deal if they don't do anything more than that. But so many women argue looking is a sin.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 06:25 PM

All im getting here is that you think men are worse than dogs lol. Pretty telling. Your dogs still want the food and probably salivate over it (not that this comparison is appropriate or academic in any sense lol). Where did I say men should be able to stalk and harass anyone? You're making up arguments to fight against.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 06:16 PM
-3

You don't have to be fully nude of course. You already know this. Revealing clothing isn't being fully nude but it still evokes a reaction. And I'm of course not excusing "wild animal" behaviour.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 06:08 PM

Clothes that very often purposefully reveal the parts of your body that you very well know have this effect or get this reaction. Thanks for confirming. Have a good one.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 06:07 PM

Because it isn't universal. Men aren't a monolith any more than women are.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 06:06 PM
5

I don't even really know what distinction you making but it seems like one without any practical difference. Breasts are not sexual organs, but they are not easily divorced from the act of sex. So, what's the point in splitting hairs? There's nothing wrong with men getting sexually aroused by breasts. There is nothing wrong with women putting their breasts on display. There is something wrong with the expectaion that men don't sexualized breasts while women put them on display.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 06:05 PM
2

Doesn't matter. There isn't a sole cause of misogyny. Period. You're wrong. Take care.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 06:03 PM
4

I don't know what to tell you. Breasts are highly sexualized by both genders. Everyone knows they are highly sexual. You're just being willfully ignorant.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 06:00 PM
3

Most women don't affirm that sex is a need. Anyway, maybe those things are needs to some men, but lots of misogyny is born irrespective of whether or not those needs are or aren't met.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 05:59 PM
-1

They are secondary sex characteristics and therefore highly sexualized in our society. Men love looking at boobs and so many women will accentuate them on purpose. It is what it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 05:58 PM
2

I'm not saying bad women are the only cause. But they are often a part of how that hatred is spawned. It's not like I'm excusing it. I hate when women who have had an abusive boyfriend start generalizing men based on those anecdotal experiences, too. That doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 05:57 PM
1

But what about ogling? That's not imposing anything on anyone. And so many women complain about it like men owe them that sort of deference when in public.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 05:55 PM

Vagina, breasts, ass. How is this even needing to be explained lol?

Yes, and most men don't condone the creepy shit either. But we don't like it when women walk around half naked and expect us not to look at them and lust after them. We can control our actions, but not so much out initial response to seeing revealed breasts and asses etc. It's definitely unfair that we should be expected to suppress our natural inclination to notice and admire these features. And it's not like women control themselves. It's just that women, more than men, don't do that creepy sh…

I'd say it's hard to draw a clear line, as it's subjective, but lots of cleavage and shorts that are swallowed by your ass cheeks are clearly past wherever the line or modesty is placed.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 05:50 PM
0

It's not the simple. Women often do partake in their own sexualization. They intentionally dress to accentuate their physical features. OP is 100% right. Now, women are of course free to do this. But, as OP points out, the "my body, my choice" argument should also apply to eyeballs. It's rude to stare, but nobody owes you anything regarding their eyeballs when in public spaces. Doesn't matter what you are wearing or doing, either.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 05:48 PM

Lol oh yes the Bible is the cause of misogyny. Yeesh.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 05:39 PM

I don't disagree. I just disagree that this is the principal cause of misogyny or that it's really even the sole cause.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 05:39 PM

Men are more likely to sabotage each other in competition-based scenarios, but women practice relational aggression more than men, on average. Let's not start comparing genders and trying to figure out which one is "better", ok? It's pretty stupid and childish.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 05:26 PM
3

I think this is very reductive. Misogyny is not just men being angry their wants aren't being given by women. Hatred is born of many experiences, including the kind you describe but not excluding abuse by women and life experiences where some women have been terrible people. So, like misandry, some men end up projecting their feelings onto the entire group.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 04:56 PM
1

I honestly don't think most men who watch porn expect their partner to do a lot of that stuff, though. Like moaning, ok that one is definitely something that you should be doing (both partners). But those other more aggressive sexual acts are usually just fantasy for most guys and it's not like they are unaware that women don't typically do those acts.

Which thing are you talking about specifically? Like rough sex or things like that?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/26 01:12 PM

Neither do you lol. And I'm a better rep for them than you will ever be because I am both.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 06:37 PM

Nope, you're still wrong. But if it makes you feel better to declare you are right, go for it, sister!

Therapy comes to mind
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:57 PM

I already said that serious conditions are valid reasons for their to be struggle in this area. But virtually every reason can also be considered and excuse if she's doing nothing to address it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:53 PM

Depends on what you mean by "wellbeing".
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:46 PM

It build upon your comment. The BP assumption underpinning their advice is what I'm talking about. They assume the man has other relationship priorities (true, in most cases) and so sex won't be so important to him that he will cheat or leave or whatever (not true in many cases).
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:44 PM

Even if I agreed, why would this sub be used as a representation of men in general (either in support of my point about the prioritization of sex or against it)?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:36 PM

I'm responding to the assumptive BP advice you mentioned.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:32 PM

Lol ok congrats on "proving" your point
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:30 PM

I think he's clearly communicated his personal stance on whether the effort is worth it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:29 PM

Yeah like two guys on here lol. That's not proving me wrong. A man does not need to be an incep for sex to be a priority lol. Maybe research that term and it's proper use.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:24 PM

Sparky? Lol thanks. Listen you're the one saying "my general sense of this Reddit sub and the comments I see is my basis for arguing most of the users are (insert assumption)". Shall we examine twoxchromosomes and begin proving that the majority of women on Reddit are sexist douches? Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:22 PM

I really don't know what point you are trying to make here. OP has communicated his stance clearly.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:18 PM

No, what's the precise number ? And also please give me the precise number of users who are husbands and fathers.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:13 PM

It is very important to most men.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:09 PM

No, I said it's hard to remain invested. I did not say the relationship is worthless. If a man is great at sex and chores, but never talks to his wife, she'd probably still consider that a dealbreaker in many cases. You are assuming you know what it's like to be a man in this situation, and you're dead wrong lol
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:54 PM

I was talking about men in general lol. And how would you know how many are or aren't filling those roles, exactly? You're talking out your ass lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:52 PM

It's important to most men. If you deny this, you're just delusional. No, many men who are not incels (you clearly don't know what that would actually means lol) value sex very highly, but it's not all they value. I wouldn't socialize with you anyway lol no great loss for me
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:45 PM

Sounds more like he's questioning whether the effort is worth it.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:41 PM

You're speaking as a woman. Sex is very important to men. Why do you think so many of us say it's a "need"? Even if you disagree that it is, you must clearly see that many of us view it that way or that it's at least very very important to us.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:26 PM

What makes you think it's the only reason? Sex is one aspect of a healthy relationship, but it's a pretty damned important one to most men. Just because the others are ok, doesn't mean we will be happy in a sexless relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:25 PM

Lots of times communicating just doesn't fix the problem. Lots of women just stop trying.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:24 PM

Most men do, but that doesn't mean we will stay in a sexless marriage when it's just a matter of our partners not trying to fix the situation. Like, if she's medically inhibited, I would be sexually frustrated but I can't blame her at all. If she's just lost the spark or whatever, and isn't willing to try, then it's on her.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:23 PM

You're just jumping to that conclusion. But sex is important enough to men that, without a concrete medical reason, it's absence makes even an otherwise loving relationship very hard to remain invested in. YOU need to stop womansplaing. We know more about being men, husbands, fathers than you ever will lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 04:20 PM

It's very common. As common as you probably have heard locker room talk or casual misogyny is among men.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 03:46 PM

I don't think it would know why you don't know the meaning of the terms you use. Maybe you could come up with a new one? Robosplaining? That's just off the top of my head.

But any that make such posts must be aware that is what they will get from many online chodes. They still do it. It's for attention and for some of them it's probably even more like bait to call out objectificaion because they get a charge out of it, just like all of us, if we are honest with ourselves, get a charge out of arguing with each other on here. Social media is cancer.

This may come a shock, but women are as selfish, hypocritical, shallow, and stupid as men, on average.

Is it? I think he's more saying a lot of women label men's comm style as toxic or based on some kind of gender discrimination. Like, he's not saying men don't arrogantly insert their opinions sometimes, he's saying when it happens to women, a lot of the time, the women attribute it to sexism or something like that instead of just realizing that is how we communicate sometimes, even to each other. I don't think he's saying indvidual women or individual anyone has to accept any kind of sharing in …
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 09:38 PM

I mean that's kind of my point. Who fucking cares if you hear an unsolicited opinion? Grow up and move on. You haven't been harmed, you've been annoyed.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 09:24 PM

Again how do you know all the guys are objectifying the waitresses instead of just lusting? Also, do the waitresses know this is how it works? Why do they take the job when they know they will be objectified?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 08:06 PM

Kind of a circular response. I would agree that if someone sees another person as human, they aren't objectifying them. But I don't think a man lusting after a waitress is inherently dehumanizing, so what I've been saying is you just assume it's objectification (or you don't actually have a proper understanding of the difference between objectificaion and sexualization).
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 07:38 PM

Maybe you should read my comment again. I said, I'm sick. You're right. My bad. How do you know it's objectification? How do you know the guys admiring the women at hooters, or anyplace, don't see them as human?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 06:32 PM
2

No the issue is you THINK women have mastered communication and men should be like them, but it's not the case. Men's communication style is often better than women's. It's more honest, it doesn't rely on sparing anyone's feelings and it affords a faster route to actual reconciliation. Men are not defective women. Our communication is fine most of the time. Maybe women ought to change instead of just assuming their way is the default. Such privilege.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 06:09 PM

It's sexualization. It doesn't mean men and women don't see those people as humans. That's OP's point. It's like as soon as a man (typically) think some woman is hot, you assume that's all he thinks about her. But that is reductive and false. For someone so sick of Reddit, you sure spend a lot of time here.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 05:59 PM

If women only really have on outlet (relational) then they clearly engage in it more readily than men, who have more options (physical). Lol some serious women are wonderful shit going on here. It seems clear that you just think women are better beings than men. I'll bet you think a matriarchy would be some non aggressive utopia. Lol clown show. No, men have a straightforward and sometimes blunt communication style and it prevents a lot of lying and backstabbing. There's a reason why one of the …
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 05:53 PM

I don't think so. Because the men would have to be forgetting the hot women are human for this to be true. They haven't. They just see them as humans they would really like to fuck. Same for the top gun thing. Nobody who watches that movie forgets that Mav is a human and dealing with the legacy of his father (he first thinks his father was killed because he was a screw up, a risk taker, but it turns out he died a hero). You're just mad that women are sexualized but boo hoo. Most of them sexualiz…

I'm speaking about women I've known perosnally over the course of several decades. Every group has some nonsense going on.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 05:17 PM

I said women are more prone to relational aggression. I didn't say individual women lie more than individual men. But men have broader array of outlets that women dont when it comes to how they express aggression. So, women, when they express their aggression, do so relationally. That mean they lie and manipulate etc very commonly.

I know reading is a tough for you because my tag clearly say “purple pill man” 😂 Omg that makes it more pathetic lol You couldn’t even name one example that women imposed to systematically oppress men, your argument is they say jokes that hurt your lil feelings. You keep going back n forth saying you’re not equating anything then proceed to equate misandry and misogyny in your examples. You obviously never had a masculine figure in you’re life to tell you to man the fuck up lol All you’re doing …
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 05:02 PM

No what he said is accurate and women lie all the time. In the same sense men are more prone to physical expressions of aggression (violence), women are more prone to relational expressions of aggression which involves lying, manipulation and backstabbing. Evo psych gives no quarter lol.

That's good because I don't lol

I dunno. Ask those guys why. I know they don't represent the entire gender, though.

Aww so glad I can entertain you. I'm saying a lot of the misogyny women complain about is stuff they can ignore. It's not rocket science. That doesn't mean I'm equating the two things. You can acknowledge that misogyny (a main driver in gender based discrimination) exists in western culture but you dont consider that a form of oppression?? Misandry is also a main driver. So, if women are oppressed by men, the opposite is also true. But none of us are oppressed here; that's the truth. How insulti…

How many? Lol you can say any number and if you at least triple it then you've got the number of women who say they are oppressed.

Agreed. So “better safe than sorry” - right? In terms of the general warning about sexual dynamics, sure. No real harm there Boy hush, her “attitude” is fine. You'd have to also a man who expects that. However, it is also laughable that you think men would be granted paper abortions even if medical abortiona were completely unrestricted.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 03:55 PM

Oh I forgot that most men are in this sub right now. Silly me.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 03:26 PM

I don't know what you are taking about. I never mentioned men wanting paper abortions. You're not oppressed lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 03:21 PM
2

I'll give you that. I oppose the overturning of Roe v Wade, but that also doesn't mean i think the abortion debate is settled. So now states can decide instead of it being federal. I think it'll likely shift back down the line. Other than that, though, I don't think you're oppressed.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 03:18 PM
-1

Lol you're not oppressed. Not in the west and not anymore. If you live in Iran or something you would know what opressik really is. That's a problem with your thick head, not mine. In the west, women are privileged and advantaged over men in many ways. I'm not equating anything. They are not wrong and saying "misandry is bad, but..."is the femcel version of "not all men". You can stop responding if you like. I don't mind.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 03:16 PM

A lot of it is avoidable. It's not like women and feminists only complain about the things they are subjected to that can't be avoided or aren't easily ignored. If they did, you wouldn't hear all this "punching up/down" nonsense when a comedian tells a joke etc etc. They'd just get over it and continue living their best life. Misandry is sexism. I don't care why or where it comes from. And by your logic, since misandry is so prevalent with social media now, a lot of misogyny is reactionary as we…

Sometimes they do, but that won't stop anyone from being dishonest if they want to be. It's not like you can predict these things will happen and proactively head them off. Probably, the hurt has to occur before it is even on the radar. You should work on your attitude lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:53 PM

Yeah I'm going to go ahead and say it's still very possible you're readign into it, at least sometimes. And I say that as someone who has witness it happen and has had it happen to me. So... My lived experience vs yours.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:41 PM
3

I don't think all men are like that. But some are. And that is what fathers warn against. More men will be flaky about relationships than will try to rape or kill women. It's not even close. Anyway, move along little one.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:23 PM
2

I'm not following here. I don't see why this has to do with the previous comments. This isn't about women say to men. It's about what men say to men and how they also approach criticisms of women with the same bluntness. And it's about how women can't handle it and spin it like it's a form of gendered discrimination when we talk to everyone like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:19 PM
1

It's not a form of violence lol. We aren't going to agree on that point. Wanting sex if entirely normal and healthy for a man and yeah it's not nice to pretend to like someone more than you do to get it, but it's not illegal and nobody owes you anything when it comes to dating outcomes like that. Buyer beware.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:17 PM
2

This would be false. Women are wonderful effect is real and has been studied. Women get a preferential view by both genders.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:15 PM

Lol nah there is always some drama in women friend groups. Its like a law of nature or something.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:15 PM
1

I don't want to be rude, but I actually think women often have kind of toxic friendships when they think they don't. Yeah, bluntness has its own problems especially when someone lacks a sense of tact. But women often go the other way and lie to each other to spare hurt feelings and just end up talking about each other behind their backs. I prefer frontstabbing to backstabbing.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:14 PM

What does it matter? Is expressing an opinion, bluntly or otherwise, not allowed? Like, just don't listen and move on.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:12 PM
3

You couldn't possibly be reading too much into it lol /s
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:11 PM
7

Kind of but another issue is often it's exactly as OP describes but women need to make it a big deal. Like the the term mansplaining. It's not sexist if you gender has nothing to do with the arrogance being displayed. But women will attribute it to misogyny and the fact that they are a woman even when it isn't a factor.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:10 PM
2

It's only disrespectful if you take it as disrespect. Brutal honesty is often superior to blowing smoke up someones ass so you don't make them feel bad (then usually talking shit about them behind their back), which is what I've witnessed most women do at some point.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 02:08 PM
0

It's only horrendous if you feel the need to insulate yourself from criticism and acountability. Women more often choose to lie to each others faces then talk shit behind each others backs. How is that not damaging? I'd rather my friend tell me Im being an idiot and then we move on and go have some beers or something. Men are direct with each other, especially when we trust each other. Women are literally the worst at communication but they think they are the best lol.

No, it's just how we do it. Most of the time, we don't see these criticisms as an attack by and enemy, but an endearing chirp from a friend and then we go out drinking together.

No, it isn't harmless. And it's stupid to argue outcomes when you know both are wrong and shouldn't be done. It doesn't matter which is "worse", not that I even think that's as easy to gauge as you assert. I mean how do you accurately compare decades of propaganda that denigrates men, affects the development and self-indentification process of boys and young men to rape? The latter is certainly more dramatic and sticks out in the news and people's memory, but constant misandrist content certainl…

Algorithms show people what makes them most upset to increase engagement. That's probably why. Those women see mostly woman-hating content (assuming they are online a lot).

I don't think fathers (most of them) believe a large proportion of the male population is out to sexually assault anyone. They just know that most men want to get laid and might be opportunistic and even misleading in the effort to succeed. It's still stereotyping of course, so yes men do it too .
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 01:55 PM

Father don't tell their daughters all men want to rape them. They tell them all men want to get laid. I often hear this argument made that men say "not all men" until they are talking to their daughters about dating or their wives about being hit on by other men. But it equates the awful shit that usually elicits the response "not all men" with a man's understanding that most men are really horny and, though most won't commit rape, they will often act disingenuously to get laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 01:52 PM

Lol a lot of misogyny is equally avoidable. Look at how many progressives get upset about "punching down". Those are just jokes or opinions they don't have to listen to if they choose.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 01:50 PM
2

I think you're right but I think most men would not say they are oppressed where as most women would say they are oppressed. In the west, neither group is really being oppressed anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/26 01:47 PM
1

I don't know why you are levelling this complaint at me. I didn't make it like this. As long as feminists are silent and complicit, noone should expect men to be doing anything proactive to hold each other accountable more than they already are. What doesn't make sense about it? I think you probably get such reactions because of the misandry that is so prevalent in conversations, especially online. It's left a bad taste in many peoples mouths and that affects how they approach this stuff.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 06:17 PM
1

I'm just saying that there are many who make such demands and it doesn't make sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 05:54 PM

It depends. I think as long as feminists don't bother with that level of accoutability, it is rather foolish to demand men bother to do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 05:01 PM
3

Lol well theft is less bad than murder. Shall we tell anyone who is a victim of theft we can't help them because we need to sort out this murder thing in society first? I'll say it again. We can and already do address multiple societal issues simultaneously and we don't commonly use the existence of one to avoid dealing with the others.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 05:00 PM
3

Lol what? So because it doesn't stop shooters, we can't address misandry? Makes total sense /s
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 04:04 PM
5

Urgency has nothing to do with it. Both issues can be addressed at the same time. You're just making excuses and telling anyone complaining about the first set of issues they don't matter. They do.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 03:37 PM

Silence is not complicity. If it is, feminism is just awful because most of them are silent and don't call out misandry.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 03:01 PM

Factually, no behaviour is universal. But that doesn't stop many so called feminists from spouting misandry concerning violence done by men, etc.

I don't believe you. I've witnessed the opposite for decades. There's no way a lot of women get that kind of approach more than they get some guy just shooting his shot in a non repulsive way. It's not even close. Sorry, I don't like gaslighting and that's what you are doing.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 05:12 PM
1

What does "on paper" mean? Usually people say that and follow up with a comment about how reality doesn't match the on paper version lol. So, you seem to be in agreement. Women still need, want, and love attention from men. This is pervasive.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 05:10 PM
3

Nah the majoritu of approaches are fine, it's just the bad ones stick out in people's memories and get discussed way more than all the relatively innocuous ones. That's not to say those ones that go fine amount to anything more than a fairly brief interaction followed by a rejection, of course.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 04:49 PM
1

Women still need men and want their attention as much as they ever did. You've been fed propaganda telling you otherwise. If anything, approaching is easier now for any guy who has an once of charisma. It's never guaranteed to result in sex or a date or anything, but women still respond postivkue to flirty advances in the right settings (that part is important).
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 04:47 PM
2

Lol I don't glaze anyones ego. It's in no way debasing for me. Ill say it again I think this is more about your perception and expectations than it is about the act of approaching being problematic. And that's ok. It doesn't have to be for everyone. Also, I'm 41.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 01:50 PM

I enjoy approaching women when I'm out, but usually not at places like the grocery store or gym. But at a bar or event? Hell yeah. Maybe it's only a waste of time for you because of your expectations (sex, a lasting friendship or relationship). If you reframe it, it's not a waste of time. I like meeting new people and talking. I like to flirt. I like the challenge of impressing an attractive woman without any prior socialization. It's fun.

Pretty privilege is obviously real. Attractive people get away with more socially in general. That’s not some uniquely female thing. But you’re conflating “I’m more receptive to someone I’m attracted to” with “all my boundaries magically disappear if the guy is hot,” and those are not the same thing. Oh yes many men act the same around really attractive women. The difference is, generally, we don't deny that we are like that. Women, a lot anyway, bend over backwards to deny they do it. Women bei…

I think you're way off here. The things you listed mostly arent easy. Men have to work on themselves to be most of those types of guys. You think being muscular is easy? It requires astounding discipline and sacrifice. Financially well off? Same thing. Hobbies? Big time sink. Funny? Well, if it was that easy to be funny more women would be lol. I never said women can't be cautious, but you don't have licence to be prejudiced without some kind of judgement. Or to be mean. And lots of people do say cold approaches shouldn't even happen. And it doesn’t really matter whether you personally think those experiences are statistically common enough. Human beings don’t base their behaviour purely on averages. Men do the exact same thing when one bad experience changes how they interact with women emotionally. Well it does matter. I mean, I real…

I don't know. I think if I was a woman, preselection would matter more to me by default. As a man, it matters very little or not at all. But we are just different. I've never met a woman too concerned about body count, for ex. But if a woman suddenly became a man, I think she'd get it.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 10:38 PM

Nah i have witnessed too many attractive but dumb and even assholish men get positive attention to believe that. Of course, a baseline of hygiene is important and nice clothes make an improvement, but it's just not as simple as "have a good personality and bathe".
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 10:27 PM

Choosing not to open up emotionally doesn't affect anyone else's autonomy though. It's a personal choice. Some women expect guys not to approach when that isn't something you can control; if you're in public, other people have the right to interact with you. How that interaction goes is a separate issue. And I'm sorry that happened to your friend, but I don't believe men are spitting on women very often just because they aren't available and respectfully decline an advance. Of all the rejections…

I really think women focus on a minority of bad encounters and forget that they've been approached many more times and nothing bad came of it even if they rejected the guy. Like I said, the bad ones stick out in their memories and are the ones the get talked about all over the place. I have no doubt that women have bad experiences, but Ive seen like thousands of approaches in my life and most didn't end in some kind of altercation or with the guy getting angry or rude.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 07:13 PM

I appreciate your response. I also should have clarified I don't think that alone ruined cold approaching (or that on gender is to blame).
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 07:10 PM

You've almost got it right. Some men have always done cold approaching the way you describe (too forward, intimidating, rude, not taking rejection well). However, those men were not the majority or even close. For every encounter like that, there are many many more completely normal ones where the guy didn't do those things, and women liked them for it. Then along came social media and influencer culture. Then the negative examples became flagships for cold approaching; people notice and remembe…

Nobody shames women when they are harassed or assaulted like you describe. Maybe that kind of thinking was a thing in the past, but most people don't think like that anymore. Few men say "she should have known all men are potential predators" because we aren't and the perception that we are is misandrist.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 06:23 PM
7

Except the studies done on the "fear gap" show men are not really that dubious when around other strange men, regardless of the setting. Women vastly overperceive the risks they face from random criminal victimization and men vastly underperceive their own risk.

Most couples I see are fairly even in terms of looks, but I'll bet many women don't see it that way lol that's an issue that is also covered by RP and usually results in BP gaslighting. How exactly do you fall in love with someone when you won't even give them a second date because they didn't meet some physical or otherwise superficial threshold ? That's the point. You're talking as if these people already chose each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 03:28 PM

BP people often talk as if looks don't matter or are superceded by personality.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 03:20 PM

Maybe they should, but people just won't. So it's just pointless to ask that of them. We could increase the scope of this to include many non sexual things too, but people are not that forthcoming when they are tying to impress a potential partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 03:19 PM

I don't think that complaint is applied like that. Guys don't usually say "well she did it once or twice with her ex, hated it, so why won't she do it with me!" Guys who make that comlaint are typically talking about women who did the thing a lot and usually with more than one previous partner and didn't make a stink over it. That's the perceived imbalance. That's not to say she has any obligation to do the same things with different people, but it can make the guy wonder why he's different or n…

I don't think that is true at all, but even if it is, I don't think women are making such considerations during the courtship phase very much, so it's kind of silly advice. For a woman to overlook your looks for personality, you have to get to know them very well first, and it's hard to do that when people reject each other based on looks so early in dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 03:08 PM
0

I doubt that happens often lol. Devastated is a strong word. And you can say they should disclose their anal fetish early all you like, but people, women included, just don't do that early in any courtship. It just comes off as weird and off-putting, even if the other person wouldn't mind trying whatever the kink is.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 03:07 PM
0

A good personality really doesn't matter much until you've already passed a certain threshold for attraction, which is why it's not very useful advice at the outset for many guys. They can have the best character in the world and be fun and enthusiastic, and if the looks aren't there it doesn't matter to most women DESPITE what they usually say. Be yourself is just an empty platitude. That is the point. Yes grooming is baseline and therefore not making much of a difference for anyone who does it…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 03:05 PM
2

Maybe some don't but some do. Who cares? The point is, most women aren't up front about any of their kinks either. You're expecting a level of communication that is beyond most people to meet. It's not because they can't meet it, but they just don't that early on in courtship.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 01:46 PM
1

BP advice around dating is usually about personality and being yourself. I've met so many blue pill people who give advice to men like "just shower and wear nicer clothes" and you're all set.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 01:07 PM

Women collectively push the BS that personality matters more than looks, generally. We all know that isn't the case. It's just men are honest about it, typically.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/26 01:06 PM
4

But women don't mislead men in this way? I'm sorry I've never met a woman who said she likes to be choked or loved anal upfront lol. The ones who do are usually nuts. This isn't gendered.

You keep collapsing any general discussion about patterns women navigate into “misandry” so you never actually have to engage with the substance of what’s being said. I'm not collapsing anything. It is entirely comparable. It illustrates that some forms of bigotry are excused and others are not, but that should not be because all bigotry is bad. There is zero point, generally, in arguing which forms are worse when the discussion should end with a simple aknowlegememt that all forms are wrong and do not have justifications. It's not a competition. I am very very interested in shutting MISANDRISTS up as should every person who can think rationally. If the statement sounds bad when it's abo…

Signaling you have options literally makes you more appealing to a lot of women. It's not our fault you guys are generally like that lol. You know how feminists, some of them anyway (mostly online), will say that you should treat men like guns? You never know which ones are loaded so you treat all of them as if they are? RP is the same as that. They know women have individual agency, but when you are talking about patterns, you end up generalizing so that you can respond to the patterns. My wife and I don't go out and party much anymore, but our deal is so long as she goes out with her he's dressed up sexy and can talk to guys who approach her, I'm allowed to approach women when I'm out (for the purpose of flirting). She wasn't very happy with the idea at first, but I explained that I get why it's validating to get that attention but it doesn't just drop into my lap because I look nice and stand at a bar. The post specifically talks about the possibility of rejection or meeting someone disingenuous as if it isn't fair. But that is just part of initiating. Men have dealt with isn't forever. Dating isnt easier in every way for women, but it is definitely easier in some ways.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 06:31 PM

Yup lots of "ugly on the inside" in these comments
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 06:19 PM

Women on here are just cowards, afraid of the rejection that men deal with all the time. Grow up. Take a risk and deal with rejection if that is what comes. Like we do.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 06:19 PM

I don't know where 90% comes from, but, whatever the percentage is, it's far higher for women, on average.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 06:17 PM

Of course women can do it easier. Even OP's whole rant boils down to "it's hard because you might face rejection or get interest from someone that isn't genuine". Like, welcome to being a dude lol. We face that every time we approach or take the initiative. That's how it works. It isn't risk free for any of us and we just deal with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 06:16 PM

It's worth exploring if we can show the outcomes actually would imprive. Important to not we did not take the same tack with girls, though. I wonder why?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 04:04 PM

Are you saying bills are passed in criminal or civil courts? Because they aren't. They are passed in legislative assemblies and bodies. The irony of you saying I don't know what I'm talking about lol .
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 03:51 PM

Oh sure why didn't we think of that? Just tell people not to commit crimes. You solved it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 03:50 PM

Read Richard Reeves. No, women are not oppressed in the western world.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 03:49 PM

He's just poining out the lack of empathy and asking why should we care about women's issues since they clearly don't care about ours? It's a fair question and you are just denying there is a clear double standard
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 03:49 PM

Lol you don't need to be reasonable when making an argument? Ok then I can tell YOU didn't thrive too much in education lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 03:48 PM

Bills aren't passed in courts, genius lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 03:47 PM

You need to provide a reasonable argument first. Not just an informed hunch based on bias. If you want respect, act accordingly.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 03:19 PM

I expect them to support policy changes and champion the rights of men and boys like they would girls and women. You know, EQUALITY. And let's flip it and also ask why men should give two shits about your rights as a woman. Why should we do anything to be an ally over an issue like abortion, for ex? Your logic is flawed.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 03:06 PM

Citation for the claim that men aren't in HEAL because they feel it lowers them? That seems like a massive biased assumption. Nah women get lighter sentences for the same crimes as men and they are favoured in civil courts as well, especially family courts. It's cute how you focus on that one disparity and dismiss all the rest though. OP just looking more correct with every word you type. "But what about womeeeeeeen?!" Education is a difficult one. Because you cant really force people to get edu…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 03:04 PM

Oh what a novel and well-researched argument. When will you be accepting your nobel prize?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 02:59 PM

Well you completely avoided the ones in the OP and focussed on dating which isn't. So, I think you are a clear example of not having empathy, deflecting, and dismissing men's issues. OP's post is correct, you just don't like that your in-group is being called out. Welcome to the world of being man. All we hear about these days is how our group causes so much trouble. That in itself is a sexist problem; the constant bombardment of anti male rhetoric. You are proving the point. You don't give a si…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 02:58 PM

You just dismissed men's struggles as woe is me and did exactly what OP said lol. You have no empathy and took his points about men's issues and reduced them to dating woes. You literally are proving OP's point about the lack of empathy for men's struggles.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 02:52 PM

I don't think that is true. Do you have some reliable evidence to back this up? I don't think this explains the education gap at all. I have been an elementary teacher for 20 years and it just doesn't explain it at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 02:50 PM

There is anti male bias in the courts, in education, and in society at large. Men receive less empathy and support, as OP points out. So, like I already said, they need targeted support like women have been getting for years. If you want a specific examples in education, there ought to be efforts made to get men into HEAL professions like there has been to get women into STEM. Read some Richard Reeves if you want to learn more and hear some concrete solutions.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 02:48 PM

I mean he didn't make an "I hate feminism" post; he criticized it. You do seem pretty hostile and threatened by that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 02:45 PM

More targeted support in many areas ranging dorm education to domestic abuse and mental health.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 02:42 PM

Proving the point lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 02:41 PM

You seem to be assuming the causes of these issues. How do you know, for ex, th education thing is because boys are more online than girls? The entire young generation is like that. It isn't gendered.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/26 02:41 PM
2

And there it is. You just naturally assume the man is to blame. Gotcha. Nough said.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 09:25 PM
1

So then what are we arguing about?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 08:03 PM
2

I have taken care of babies twice, thanks. And while I agree some are more challenging than others, anyone who says or thinks having a baby or even multiple babies just makes sex impossible, or who argues about how it needs to take a far back seat after they are born, is just making excuses. Most people like that spend a few hours in the day just scrolling social media.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 06:30 PM
3

Basic needs are relatively easy to meet, though, except for the impoverished. Feeding, bathing, etc shouldn't ever be an excuse to give up on your sex life or say you can only have sex once a week even.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 04:19 PM
1

Of course we get off on getting our partner off. That is like the most obvious thing ever. No man would ever eat pussy or ass if that wasn't the case. Even women talk about giving head and say they enjoy it because it pleases their partner. Look, the real deal is guys, generally, are just able to separate body from mind/soul when it comes to sexual arousal. I could have amazing sex with my soul mate or I could have amazing sex with a prostitute who I know is only there for the money. How good th…

Nah you have to be selective. You choose times to prioritize other things. It's good for the kids, ultimately. No kid is helped by parents who can't stand each other or never make time for each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 01:49 PM
10

Sex once a week seems like a personal choice. Let's be honest; it's not the time, it's the energy. And it's easy to make excuses when it's about energy. Both partners need to put in effort to keep the relationship physical; they need to say yes when they can and no only when they really can't.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/26 01:47 PM
2

Yes most violent crimes are commited by men. But most men do not commit violent crimes. That's what I'm "pushing". If you can't see the distinction, then God help you lol!
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 05:40 PM
3

There are very clear statistics that tell us that men commit the overwhelming majority of violent crime and sexual assault. Which men? You know there are many major cities in North America where I could say the statistic overwhelmingly show black men commit the majority of violent crimes. What should we do with that info? Should we recognize that those numbers don't say all or even most black men do these crimes or should we pretend, as you are, that it's justification to lump all people in that…

I never specified manipulation. I said assholes. Though I think many assholes are manipulative.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 04:17 PM

Well now you are talking specifics. I would not say a girl taking a couple hours to text back is a red flag unless it's a consistent pattern that represents a change from her previous behaviour.

BP is just mainstream narratives concerning dating dynamics. RP is the counter narrative. No I don't believe AWALT. It is GENERALLY true. Honestly by that same logic I grew up seeing men everyday in the news kill and rape people and children even around them. I don’t have numbers but I think it’s an obvious truth that men are all dangers to society. It’s enough men that do it that it matters. Every woman grows up seeing men do this all over the place. There are very clear statistics about that w…
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 04:00 PM

Neither is communicating clearly, obviously.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 03:47 PM
9

How can I answer that question? I'm not even saying asshole = manipulative (although I'm sure it often does). Assholes can just be bad partners in many other ways. The point this that, very often, women put up with an asshole, even convince themselves he's not an asshole or that she can change him, because he's hot or popular. Just to be clearly men do this too, but I don't think it's as common because i think asshole women also go after the hottest guys and don't date the others lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 03:47 PM
5

Oh they are shitty. For sure. It proves that some BP tenants just aren't real/don't work like that. It's enough women that get with assholes that it matters. I don't have actual numbers, of course, if you're trying to say I need them to state what I consider to be an obvious general truth. Every guy growing up sees girls and women doing this all over the place.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 03:42 PM
12

There are a lot of assholes, yes. Just like there are a lot of bitches. The hot ones get away with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 03:34 PM
10

Nah it exists because women are as shallow as men while pretending not to be, so they will tolerate assholes who meet other superficial requirements.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 03:33 PM
10

You're mistaken from the get go. The idea is that women will put up with assholes because they have some other superficial quality that is desirable, which proves, at least generally, that the BP concept of personality trumps looks and status is often bullcrap. Men don't think women see asshole behaviour and are attracted to that.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 03:32 PM

Ok, but again why not communicate that clearly ?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 03:24 PM

What stopped her from communicating, then? This situation only arises because she started pulling away (hence, no clear communication about her problems).
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 02:30 PM

She can take it as lightly as she likes. It has nothing to do with his motivations. No, effects don't trump intent. That's silly. We are not cars, we are people. There is no insurance lol. We are talking about someone doing something and being blamed for being dishonest, actually.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 01:33 PM
1

Aren't we talking about sex happening and then relationships not happening here? Sex in that context is no more dangerous than sex in any other context. He doesn't have to claim he didn't behave unethically since you can't actually know that was his motivation. You're just assuming he must have misled the woman in this hypothetical.

It's a dangerous activity. Might as well jump out of a plane after letting a stranger pack your parachute bc it's "not a big deal." That's not a smart decision. Nah it's not necessarily dangerous. It's just not the smartest possible way. We are all obligated to be honest. He doesn't get to pretend they've begun a relationship when he's actually not invested. Ok but your comment i redponded to said if they have sex that mean they are in the same league. Thats just what I'm disagreeing with. Men saying a good strategy is lying to women to get sex? it happens here every day. Nah it's not prevalent.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 06:04 PM
1

That's debatable (although I tend to agree it usually works out better if both partners do figure things out beforehand). In any case, there just aren't any guarantees and there are no obligations either.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 05:21 PM

Like when men here say that if she didn't end up in a relationship with Chad after sex it's because he's out of her league. It's not, If they had sex they are in each other's league and the relationship just didn't work out. Mmmm can't agree with this. High status guys don't operate like high status women. They will have sex with women who, from a marketplace value standpoint, are beneath them. But they typically don't wife up these women. Men "lying to get sex" is when men encourage other men t…

Sometimes you think you know, and then the time comes to shit or get off the pot, so to speak, and you aren't sure anymore. Women are not owed relationships after sex any more then men are owed sex after a free dinner. Such is life. Act accordingly.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 05:12 PM

People don't have their feelings about this planned out ahead of time, generally. Sometimes you fuck and your feelings change for whatever reason after that. It is what it is. Women are no different.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 05:07 PM
1

"Not all men" is literally correct in virtually every scenario where it gets said. It's just that many women don't like to hear it in response to some misandrist statement they made. A lot of them really want to have a license to do to men what they complain about men doing to them (ie just hating their guts out loud).
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/26 02:07 PM
0

You're just overthinking things. Most of those terms like "smashed" or "banged" aren't degrading to women or men. They are just colloquialisms of our time. I haven't ever heard any man say anything like "rearranged her guts" in a serious discussion. I think maybe I've heard things like that when a guy is just trying to be funny with his friends, but it never meant he has any feelings, one way or the other, about the woman he slept with or women in general. In short, using most of these expressio…

I would be red if the goal of red pill wouldn't be either so hateful (men) or so marriage oriented (women). A lot of feminism is hateful. Doesn't mean I treat all feminists the same. Anyway, yes, i'm telling that, aren't you complaining that blue pill is always passive? Here you go. Where did I say that? Tho imo men are whining and at the same time they want to be seen as alpha and active males. Not going to pass. Lol which men? I don't think they mind if you, in particular, pass.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 08:31 PM
5

It really does not matter in this context, like I said. We are obviously talking about the attention women get and enjoy, not the other kind.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 07:23 PM
11

Lol the irony of a blue pill woman telling men to stop complaining about putting in effort. We are the only ones who do, at least at the outset of courtship. You are yelling your "wisdom" from atop an ivory tower.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 06:36 PM
3

And this is why I keep saying that social media is the underlying cancer that results in so many harmful symptoms in our society. Dating apps, platforms that follow the likes and followers model. It's all garbage that just takes problems that would exist anyway and exacerbates them to epidemic or even pandemic levels.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 06:34 PM
2

Nah most guys don't think that. It's not like they don't compliment with the hopes it will get them laid, but very few are so confident and entitled that they think the are owed sex from compilents. If fact, most aknowledge from the get go that the compliments and effort are very likely not to get them sex. You might be envisioning a very specific type of guy here. Ironically, that type of guy typically has no trouble getting laid.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 06:27 PM
5

Generally speaking, you are the exception. In my experience, even the women who claim to detest male attention fucking revel in it when it's from a physically attractive guy. Sure, if he's openly a misogynist they will avoid him but all those types of guys have to do is mask until they get laid and it's no issue for them. I have known guys like that who laugh about how easy it is to seduce those types of women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 06:25 PM
4

That doesn't matter in this context, though. Not saying it doesn't matter at all. If we actually did what OP suggests, that negative attention would be reduced, remember. Or, it would just become the only kind women get at all since those guys probably wouldn't go along with such a plan. Either way, it has nothing to do with women's egos.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 06:09 PM

You're making blanket statements about all men who approach. Or are you saying this only happens to you ?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 06:13 PM
3

Lol i like em big. I like em small. I like em all.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 06:12 PM

It's based on anecdotes which means it's based on bias. I've been cheated on a few times. That doesn't mean it's accurate to say women (not all just the ones in relationships) are cheating whores. You can do better, so try.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 05:50 PM

Most men are only thinking about sex first and foremost without any thought of actually getting to know the woman as a potential girlfriend To them its sex first then emotional connection Again this is just a stereotype, like 'women are irrational/hysterical". You need to move beyond this kind of thinking before you can even have a healthy relationship with anyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 05:43 PM

Yeah, but they don't wanna get to know us. A good chunk of the time they just want sex All ment want sex. Doesn't mean we aren't also open to finding someone to date or love. You are making a grand assumption here unless all these guys are just outright saying "can I have your number? I don't care who you are, I just want your body' which I highly doubt. Men are not that virtuous. They just wanna get laid. Because the people who actually wanna get to know you wouldn't be on street corners asking…
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 03:55 PM

I don't get why women are so bothered by this, though. Like, we all know physical attraction comes first. So the guy wants your number to get to know you as a person. You already know he wants to bang you, regardless of what kind of man he is (genuine or not).
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 03:28 PM
2

Ok but women also need to stfu. I'm not even being bitter or retaliatory; a lot of men and women need to just stfu.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 03:26 PM

Why should we be against it? If some guys want one, I don't care. Get your robo fuck on, brother. Also, men who use sex workers are more stigmatized than the workers themselves, as nonsensical as that is.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 03:19 PM

Men are quite open about not being picky, though. I think both genders do this but only one says they don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 03:17 PM

Partly jealousy. Partly just the trend of morally policing others.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 03:15 PM
2

Sure. I'm certain both genders could use a taste of what it's like for the other side. I think it would settle who has it worse or better pretty fast lol.

The recent 64 million men visited a rape academy is a perfect example of how women tend to do similar things. Here is how that whole ordeal played out: CNN did their expose and said the porn site that hosted the telegram group that has terrible content had 64 million hits A bunch of femosphere influencers took that and made it seem like the telegram group (which was like 1000 people, some of whom were women) had 64 million male participants A bunch more people ran with that and made their own po…

You're being disingenuous if you believe that women are scolded about this anywhere near as much as men are today. Do some of these manosphere bros say women should be x,y,z? Yup. But society's reaction to that is pretty universal: it's bad. You won't see the same general societal pushback on open misandry and the myriad of influencers who constantly shame men for their expressions of masculinity.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/26 03:29 PM
2

I think the framing is the issue, though. And it's disingenuous to suggest boys and men started it by saying they have a masculinity crisis and everyone else just started responding to that. I think the crisis is the fault of the people who engage in such framing, try to delineate what being masculine means from both sides.

These posts don't seem to be about the situations described in the original comment, though. I didn't say the phrase hasn't been said about women. I said men don't typically say it in response to a woman declining casual sex or when he admits to cheating on her.

I'm not RP and neither are most guys, first of all. So please stop lumping is all together. And you're just wrong. When it comes to attraction, besides when we are actually considering getting married and starting a family, most guys are happy to take what they can get. Most guys will really not even be too concerned about looks; they'll hit on and sleep with a girl who they wouldn't date based on looks. We really arent picky. You've invented an image of us.

Lol and what was all that time I spent chasing women out in bars and clubs and at events? A dream? My lived experience is more valuable than hers when it comes to how most men think and what motivates them in those spaces. I am one, I was one who frequented those places because it was where to meet women, and all the guys I have ever known are of the exact same mind about it. So... Yeah, but if men are actively approaching younger women versus the older women, then it would be because the women are... younger. This is incorrect. Or rather it is correct only a fraction of the time. Most men want a younger woman vs an older women, even if he finds the older woman hot. Because a hot younger woman is usually better to him than a hotter older women since to men, he gets more time of her being young and hot and he can have a family with her or she is naive and inexperienced Yeah…

This was exactly her argument (men will always go for the younger women) and it's wrong. You have the same problem as she does. You think you know how men think, but you don't. We. Don't. Care. About. Age. It's that simple. You're attractive or you're not. That is it. That is all. Now, this doesn't mean we don't notice the difference between younger and older women. It just means we aren't that picky when we want to have sex or, in the case where we are lonely, date. Does she get approached as m…

Society takes a softer hand with women is what he's saying and he's not wrong. Just look at how open misandry and man hate content is just accepted, how normalized it has become. Hard disagree. I'm as monogamous as they come and I'm constantly tempted by those thoughts. Your man may never cheat, but that not because he doesn't want to screw everything that moves. Sorry, but he very likely does.

My friend, the issue here is that women, generally speaking, really are not capable of putting themselves in a man's place, thinking from his perspective. They approach everything, and I mean everything, even discussions about men's behaviour, from the position of being a woman. I argued with my wife the other night about appropriate partner behaviour when out in public and around the opposite sex. No, I'm simply saying that BP gave rise to RP. If BP principles worked to the degree BP people claim they work, RP wouldn't exist or at least it wouldn't gain so much traction. Nah he's just using an analogy. For men, the dating game is very much a matter of tactics, even if the man (like the vast majority of us) doesn't view women as objects. It's fine to think of it like that when discussing or thinking about these things broadly. You're just being petty.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 03:40 PM

Yeah it's nothing new unfortunately. I get what you're saying. Most rationale people do.

It's a broad strokes discussion. It think you're just getting caught up in the verbiage and the analogies. This is how people talk especially on Reddit and especially about these kinds of issues surrounding group dynamics and behaviour patterns. You're not actually dealing with the point, you're complaining about how it's being made.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 03:13 PM

Like it or not, it's called game for a reason. And the men who know how to play it get more dates, more sex, and more chances to have a relationship. It is what it is. No sense getting upset about it when women, at large, don't really even want to make a different play, take the initiative and make things happen.

This sidesteps the point. OP assumes the advice has been given already. You can't put your opinion out there and expect nobody to react to it, especially if it's dumb.

This post doesn't make sense to me. I've never heard of a man responding with "you can't handle the truth" in either of the situations you describe. A man who wants casual sex doesn't say that when the women doesn't, he typically just moves on to someone on the same page or, if he's a jerk, he might mislead her just to get what he wants then bounce; he doesn't say she can't handle the truth. A man who cheats and tells his partner and then she gets upset does not say she couldn't handle the truth…

Men have been saying women act differently than they say for decades and it hasn't generally gone over well with the ladies. This is why we tell other men you give horrible dating and life advice. Women dont take that well at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/26 02:17 PM

I mean, I just think you are mistaken. I think women are way worse at taking criticism and hearing men make pattern statements about their behavior. It's difficult to even get a woman to admit they wear sexy outfits to the bar for attention, the most obvious thing in the world. But very few women are honest enough to own that. They say "I do it for me" and that bullshit. Yeah, right. Just pure gaslighting. So, I dunno what to say to your post. I'm sure lots of men don't take it well either but a…

I consider myself a moderate, but I think left and right leaners would both say I'm on the other side if they heard my opinions on different issues. I see both. Modern misogyny is so in your face; just people flat out saying women are evil liars. Misandry has always been like that, really in your face and over the top. Tired of all of it. I'm at the point where I genuinely detest any person who points a phone camera at themselves and posts their dumb gender opinions online. I'd make it illegal t…

It has been a statistical fact for decades and decades that random criminal violence is rare for everyone, but much rarer for women than men. If people's feelings matched statistical reality, men ought to be the ones afraid to be walking alone at night and afraid of other random men they see in passing. The DoJ studies this way back in the 90's and called it the 'fear gap', identifying that women perceive the risks they face from men they don't already know to a much higher degree than the actua…

I would never say western men are "oppressed". That word implies true suffering, which is why western women are so silly for using it. They are not oppressed either. Both women and men in the west have struggles, some shared, some distinct. Some they are subjected to by the other gender and some they are not. But neither of these groups is oppressed. Admittedly, 50+ years ago women in the west were oppressed (but even then it was mild compared to other places in the world). Right now, I'd go so …

Do you know how rare random criminal violence is? There is zero reason besides fear mongering for anyone to be afraid that someone else says "hi" in passing. Jfc it's just sad how anxious and neurotic younger generations are these days.

That's kind of a statement about the state of society, though.
/r/MensRights22/04/26 05:34 PM

Jfc you're off the deep end. He just said "hi" in passing. Yeah nobody is owed a response but it's not collectively mens' responsibility that society has gotten so used to fear mongering that even a simple "hello" is seen as a threat. Like, don't try pinning that on men; progressives made that world, not us. There have always been bad men; it's only recently that people like you have normalized treating the rest of us like we are them.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 04:25 PM

I mean, this is true... but also a really stupid point to make. If you like women and want a woman to be in a relationship with you, hearing "you don't need them, nobody is forcing you to date them" is just really silly. It's like saying "nobody forces you to be employed, you can just live on the street". True, but kind of a dumb thing to say.

I think you actually missed the point entirely. Actually, you are reinforcing it. Men are vastly more likely to harm kill or rape a partner then have a woman hurt him in a similar manner, so for men to be scared is a bit of a joke Here you stereotype us by at once saying we are all potential monsters and also incapable of being victimized in any way that people should empathize with or care about. /r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 05:48 PM

This is exactly right.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 03:18 PM

It's just that people aren't really happy to just live in a recession, either. And that's what comes of just saying "not our problem" with this stuff. We will have to face the consequences at some point and nobody wants that even if they don't like the idea of pressure to start a family. Everyone still wants to have all the services and privileges they enjoy on a daily basis and they want their money to go further etc etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 03:15 PM

I agree, however we can and should still discuss the problems that are certain to arise from falling birth rates and that can sometimes sound like pressure to have kids. Also, feminism, because it has narratively pushed an anti traditional family agendas over the course of the last few decades, is still open to criticism for some of that because it's often enough gone beyond just advocating for women's choice in many discussions and turned into pressure in the opposite direction. What are you basing this on? Just your own observations?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/26 05:21 PM

Deepfakes are videos where someone is recognizable. If you have no idea who the composite is even based on, who is harmed, exactly? There is a lot of discussion about this. Please educate yourself before having opinions. Take your snide attitude and stick it up your ass. You'd rather real women be coerced into sexual activity on film than AI composites. You're very weird.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/04/26 01:43 PM
1

Not so sure it's all this cut and dry. I feel like composites could be unrecognizable from their inspirations if done well. In that case, it's not really exploitative.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/26 07:01 PM
1

But how can there be consent if there is coercion? all composites are also built on exploitation. How so?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/26 05:28 PM
1

Well there's actual risk vs perceived risk: AI explanation: Actual risk is the quantifiable, data-backed probability of harm, while perceived risk is an individual's subjective, emotional, or intuitive judgment of that danger. These often diverge, with people overestimating spectacular, rare risks and underestimating common, slow-moving threats. The two generally move in opposite directions, creating false confidence before crises.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/26 05:26 PM
1

Common sense is fine sometimes, but if you are going to say women are at risk of violence from men they are just meeting it's kind of bullshit, same as their idea that women are unsafe walking alone at night. If you are just saying there is potential well that's different, like acknowledging if something did happen women are more vulnerable than men. But the thing is, the bad outcome doesn't actually happen as often as you're suggesting.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/04/26 03:10 PM

Can you share the statistics you have found regarding violence incidents on first dates or the first few encounters a woman has with a man? I have found that a lot of you folks who say women are at great risk dating are typically ignorant and just assume women get assaulted at the outset of courtship often. In reality, most women who experience that kind of violence are already dating the abuser long term or married to them. There really isn't any increased risk to women just because they are ab…

I did not mean that this applies to ALL men. What I’m saying is that pretty much everyone finds young-ish people most attractive, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But the guys who perv on teens and preteens and say things like “women expire at 25 (or younger)” contribute to a stigma. Because let’s face it, pedophilic tendencies are not exactly rare among men… the Epstein scandal has revealed to everyone that when men have enough wealth and power to get away with anything, a non-insignificant…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/26 09:54 PM

It’s the obsession with extreme youth, the fact that we all know these men only start at “18” because any younger isn’t legal, the fact we all received unwanted attention from grown men as preteens… that’s what causes an “ick” response. This is exactly the judgement I'm talking about. Most people who say this know nothing about either individual in an age gap relationship. You just did what they always do, which is try to call any many who dates significantly younger a pedophile. And no women do…

/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/26 03:01 PM

Yeah but clearly OP is talking about instances where the assessment is followed by expressions of judgement. Nobody would bother to point out the younger people are more attractive if no one ever shamed older people for it. The shame is the whole reason for the post to even exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/26 03:00 PM
-1

No he's saying men are told they are perverts and deviants for finding youth attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/26 02:57 PM
1

That is rude behavior but plenty of people cast judgement just when the attraction is mentioned hypothetically. People judge even without any specific behavior being displayed.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/26 02:56 PM
2

Yeah and those women wouldn't hear the criticism that they don't like men's preferences because they are jealous either. I've never seen an older woman shaming a man for being with a younger woman admit that she's just jealous she's past her prime and older men can still date younger if they want to a lot of the time .
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/26 02:42 PM
1

That would entirely depend on what you do and say during that assessment. I can assess a woman's weight to decide if I'm attracted to her, but if I call her a fat pig I'm certainly shaming her.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/26 02:40 PM
0

I mean you basically agree with OP. It's just as stupid to blame men for their preferences as it is to blame women. But let's be honest, when it comes to people judging people for who they are attracted to, men get the worst of it for thinking younger women are more attractive.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/26 02:33 PM
0

That's stupid. He's not saying that the attraction rules our entire lives and we can't keep lasting relationships because of it. I think cake and pie taste better than vegetables but I don't eat them very much compared to vegetables.

In a healthy relationship, his partner would care about his feelings and reciprocate them, and his effort, and sleep with him at least somewhat enthusiastically. I don't think this has to do with rights at all. It's about privileges. That's the error you are making. Women have become over privileged in dating. And while I would say it wasn't something they set out to become intentionally (it just happened to them, mostly with the advent of online dating), and so it's not like you can just take it away or tell women to choose to have less options, I do think the ultimate outcomes for society (including women) in the long term are very negative. This shit …
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 12:57 AM

I mean try explaining to almost any woman why you aren't into fat chicks and see how many just agree that it's not your fault.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 12:52 AM

Ultimately, the blame lies with women, like OP says. However, the fault is mens'. Women know, or should know, they are benefitting in a rather devious way from the current dating market, but they deny and gaslight whenever they are blamed for some of the problems. But they can only do this because men are so thirsty and desperate for women. If men collectively controlled those urges, women would have little to no power in our dating market as it currently operates.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 12:49 AM

Yes they do, but mainstream society is currently on the side of blaming men for all of these issues (and more). The blame women crowd are disavowed by most people, whether they are making sense or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 12:44 AM

You missed the whole part where women's idea of what is undesirable has been arbitrarily exacerbated. It's very very weird that these studies show that on the apps so many women find so many men physically undesirable. Like, you kind of illustrate that you have the exact blind spot OP describes; it's like you can't even fathom that women are the ones who may need to change their behaviors and expectations but you will readily tell men they aren't doing the "bare minimum". Lol most of you don't e…

It's no more a theory than men are more horny is a theory lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 07:37 PM

Most of you are not that different in this area. Those that are likely don't date much anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 05:34 PM
7

It's far less common. You can't be this blind lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 03:57 PM
3

Many feminists would disagree with that, but, regardless, those women are benefiting from traditional gender roles the movement, and most postmodern thinkers, decry. It's awfully stupid to say "it's not supposed to be easy" to men and then say "why should I have to do anything when the men will do it for me?" lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 03:45 PM
2

Didn't I?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 03:43 PM
6

It's not about my sample size. It's commonly known women are just more passive with courtship. They expect things to be done for them and most of those things are traditional practices and rituals. Women dont even approach men they like anywhere near as much as they just stand there waiting for him to come to her.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 03:32 PM
2

And you expect men to do it even though we don't live in the 50's anymore. Women traditionally cooked and cleaned. Should they be sticking to that by default ?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 03:28 PM
2

That's practically all men encounter
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 03:27 PM

They are rare unfortunately
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 03:26 PM
5

Or maybe there's just a lot of them out there
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 02:58 PM

Enough to know they think putting makeup on is all the effort they need to put forth lol
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 02:52 PM

Why should you be defining what the standard of male behaviour is? Why is that the standard?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 02:51 PM
2

Nah they do even though they say they don't. And I'd say a great many say that
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 02:51 PM
4

And many women SAY they don't
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 02:02 PM
1

Equality means they should be doing it any time they see someone they like instead of expecting him to. Equality means things like hypergamy shouldn't even still be happening. There's some cognitive dissonance at play with many modern women, unfortunately.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 01:47 PM
6

Why don't women put that same effort in?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 01:17 PM
2

Are you rich ? Of course it's going to be a concern for some men. Lol what kind of out of touch BS is this?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 01:17 PM
5

Then why don't more women do it? I thought gender roles were outdated.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 01:16 PM
6

Why should they? To a blue pill woman I'd say because of equality. I'd say if traditional gender roles are bad then stop embracing the ones that benefit you. But I know that isn't who you are.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 01:14 PM
10

Ironically, most women don't do those things lol. Should they abandon dating?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 01:13 PM
1

Neither has it objectively better or worse than the other anymore. It used to be worse for women, without a doubt. However a lot of women who have never ever even experienced that first hand are still complaining about having it worse, but they don't. In response, because they were sick of hearing it, a lot of men started saying women have it better all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 01:11 PM
2

Yes and I think the fact that we didn't see online messaging saying how terrible it was is a sign of what I'm talking about. Most of the content around it was affirming it.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 07:29 PM
3

I think criticizing women and feminism is definitely considered taboo in Western society. To the point where reasonable criticisms are met with labels of hatred and sexism. I've argued quite logically about the WNBA pay gap issue and why they should not be paid the same as the NBA players, for ex, and many so called intellectual women have responded by saying I'm a sexist.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 06:24 PM
2

Misandry is indisputably more accepted in western society than misogyny.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 06:20 PM
3

I don't think as many people raise their eyebrows as you would think, though. Misandry is very openly accepted in western society. Man v bear is the most recent proof of that. Yeah lots of people saw that it was sexist and stupid, but a whole lot of people didn't and defended it and continue to do so .
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 06:16 PM

But if any other group says things about groups with perceived dominance or social privilege, like men or white people, they are not expected to provide such context. Also, if something is said that praises an historically marginalized group, no context is required even when it's important (like if you were to point out that indigenous cultures were often brutally violent and made war and even enslaved their enemies for ex). However, if you praise any aspect of something like European colonizati…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 06:14 PM

I mean it sounds like it was temporary for them. She wasn't sure about him. He said ok I'm not waiting around for you to figure it out and I like you so it won't be good for me to see you dating other guys while I settle into the friend role. She considered the options and chose to commit and it worked out. There really isn't anything to criticize or judge negatively.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 06:00 PM

We don't all experience attraction in the exact same way. I have plenty of friends I'm physically attracted to (mostly because I'm physically attracted to a lot of different women). If I was never friends with any woman I wanted to sleep with (at least in the sense that I know I'd physically enjoy sleeping with her), then I wouldn't have hardly any female friends lol. I'm just saying that most guys don't take their female friend out on a real date type experience like that when they have zero in…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 05:58 PM

Because he's stupid and holding on to false hope, most likely.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 01:42 PM

I mean, it's a pretty safe bet. It's not a guarantee. OP is being a little too absolute, imo. But he's not wrong completely. Most guys are not taking a girl out for a fucking date when they have no interest whatsoever. Austin didn't have the stones to follow through. Probably saw her post about him and felt deeply depressed lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 01:42 PM

That's what friendzoning is. I dunno where all the people who think that term means just innocently being pals with a guy who secretly wants to fuck them got this idea. The friendzone is where you get put when the woman wants something from you, even if it's just attention when she's not getting it from some other guy she physically desires, but has no real intention of ever dating or fucking you. It is deceptive and self serving by definition.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 01:37 PM

That's just the blue pill in you hearing what it wants to hear.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 01:27 PM

Omg please don't equate modern feminism with the civil rights movement lol. It's not even close. Women are no longer oppressed in the west. If you're talking globally, I can understand taking that tack to address places where women are clearly still oppressed but OP is clearly talking about Western society. And, frankly, I wouldn't support any movement that actively demonized me as it's asking for my support or any movement that didn't bother to contest the bad actors within doing it. I don't ca…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/26 02:33 PM

Well I haven't read all the comments, but I do think your response was myopic and definitely too dramatic. Men don't view women as subhuman. That's an online fringe thing and/or you might be one of those people who think anyone ever criticizing women for anything thinks of them that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/26 01:26 AM

I don't think women are oppressed anymore. That's really the point where your view loses structural integrity. There are a few areas where I feel women get a shit deal (like a lack of medical focus, having to deal with periods and menstruation, being physically more vulnerable), but, besides what's going on with abortion access, I really don't think they have much to complain about, and some of the things they do complain about can't really be fairly addressed without overcompensating and making…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/26 12:25 AM

This is actually why I think a lot of feminists are incapable of seeing the flaws in their own movement and, often, in themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/26 11:40 PM

Same here.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/26 11:28 PM

If my support were contingent on these individuals catering to my wishes, well that would not really be support, and I would not expect these people to want anything to do with me. Men, in general, do not expect this of women or feminists. I don't know where you are getting it. OP is talking about how many feminists actively belittle men. Wanting them not to do that is not wanting them to do our bidding or anything like that. But when one group refuses to see the other as fully human, a divide i…

So my judgement of women is accurate. Every one of them is a potential child abuser. Moreso than any man I might run into.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/26 05:16 AM
2

Like if I said most women would abuse or neglect their children if they thought they could get away with it, right? Every mother has the potential to become an abuser, after all and the stats show is mothers do non sexual abuse more than fathers.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 10:34 PM

Because presumably you're not a child so you have some logical ability and you should know damned well you didn't start any fires to extinguish them and neither did the vast majority of men.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 10:32 PM

I said the common recommendation was to teach your child to seek out a mother if they're lost. You called me a sexist despite that being the perspective of a child safety expert. Gavin DeBecker claims a mother is preferred not only for the lower risk of predation but also the increased likelihood of her ensuring the child gets to safety. "GO TO A MOM. Instead of teaching kids to find a police officer, security guard or salesperson if they’re lost and scared, instruct them to find a mom, which ge…

Stop talking about us as if we are all conspiring against you or running a protection racket. Most men aren't the ones doing the real harm. God I hate these times.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 03:54 PM

I was told to find someone with children. Saying only find a woman is really sexist. Wow. Who raised you? Lol

9

Woah did you see how fast those goal posts flew by?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 03:48 PM
14

This is so stupid lol. Most men are not the violent offenders you hate, but you blame the entire gender for their actions, even the ones who would protect people from them. Real smart.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 03:47 PM
1

True, but then, as OP says, they would also need to criticize the other side of it (the women who like it) or else they aren't being fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 05:24 PM
2

It isn't about the men's behaviour or the nature of the approach (appropriate or otherwise) it's about the women's preference, more specifically that their preferences vary. Because a significant number of women do like to be approached, approaching, in and of itself, can never be or should never be shamed by anyone because that would indirectly disregard the autonomy of those women. We can criticize an individual approach, but any person generally disapproving of cold approaching women in publi…

See then you're not the kind of person this post is about. I think, especially with the sex work example, there are a lot of women who see the sex worker much more positively than their clients.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 03:00 PM
1

So then how do you call them out ? And you'd have to be ok with men having a preference to do the action of cold approaching and acknowledge that, because some women like it, you have no business telling any man he shouldn't do that action. I'm not saying you are out there shaming men for approaching women or anything, but this post is clearly aimed at the women who do that kind of thing while they don't put any negative pressure on the women OP is talking about, the ones who like cold approache…

But you wouldn't, for ex, tell men as a group not to publicly approach women they are attracted to? Or call an only fans girl empowered, but her subscribers terrible people?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 02:54 PM
1

I don't think that is necessarily true for a lot of men
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 04:13 PM

It's illegal. And you act like there are sex workers on every street corner in the country. It's just a really simple minded solution that is easy to say but doesn't really translate to reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 03:59 PM

I think even that isn't a given these days. We tell boys if they are nice and kind they'll win. It's kind of a lie. It's just world fallacy.

1

Everyone has base sexual needs
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 03:34 PM
1

It's hard to send the right message. I made another comment that it's like how we tell kids they can be whatever they want to be. We all know they can't actually, but we don't want to stunt their potential. Unfortunately, this has its own drawbacks.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 03:34 PM

You first.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 03:32 PM
1

What?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 03:32 PM
2

If you are limiting the scope to just this sub, or even just Reddit, you aren't approaching this in the right way. If I did that when talking about women and used most women's subs as the baseline, I could say most women are pathetic, hysterical whiners with victim complexes. Is that accurate?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 03:16 PM
1

Absolutely untrue. Girls are waaaay more coddled, on average. You're living in a dream world.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 03:14 PM
2

I think it happens more harshly to boys and men, though. Girls and women kind of get treated like fragile little victims from a young age by pretty much everyone. Not saying they don't get judged too, but, at least in some areas like dating, there is less margin for error for boys and men.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 02:51 PM
5

It's kind of chicken and egg. I think a lot of that misogyny is born of disenfranchisement and a lack of addressing what OP is talking about. When guys feel like they can't make mistakes without making women uncomfortable, they start not to care about how comfortable women feel in the first place. It leads to "fuck it, I'll do what I want to get what I want and to hell with anyone who doesn't like it".
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 02:48 PM
1

I more or less agree, but the issue is similar to how we don't tell young children that they can't be whatever they want to be. It's the truth. Little Jimmy probably won't play hockey professionally and little Sally probably won't be an astronaut, but we don't like to hit them with the harsh truth when they are young. As such, they romanticize their futures. And it's the same with love, sex and relationships. The question is how to raise them with reasonable expectations without making them mise…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 02:44 PM
1

And where do you think that entitlement comes from? We sort of tell all young people that their romantic lives will work out regardless of the harsh truth that they often do not. It just happens that women, on average, are less likely to experience the brutal wake up call when they get a little older (because of the advantages they have in dating and mating activities).
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 02:41 PM
1

Assuming the guy has expressed his frustration to his partner and she's not doing anything about it, and assuming he can't just bounce with no consequences, he is being locked down by fear of financial or social consequences. So, he's got to just accept his shitty lot or else get his on the down low. Fuck honour in that situation. If honour means I live a terrible life under the thumb of my partner, I'll take the other path.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 10:21 PM
-1

Notice how all this is based on the husband being locked down by fear?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 09:40 PM
-3

I think your approach is certainly noble, but not very practical. It's a little too fluffy and "do the right thing even if it hurts you". That's nice in small doses, but choosing between a sexless relationship and financial ruin isn't a choice at all. I'm sure your way is the right one in some situations and the wrong one in others.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 05:25 PM
-3

Nah man. I believe in trying to solve the problem, of course. I believe in being honest about being unsatisfied, whether you are a man or a woman in a relationship. But there are some situations where leaving can cause serious problems, like financial concerns, and then I say get yours on the down low. We only live once.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 05:16 PM

So what's the issue? In what ways are you unwilling to support men right now?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 05:15 PM
1

That would be ideal. But sometimes that isn't easy for financial reasons. Or if kids are involved.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 04:40 PM
-2

I think if the partner, man or woman, is honestly trying then they don't deserve anything like that. But if one has given up on sex, or is using it as currency or something, then all bets are off.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 04:06 PM

So they needed support just like I said lol. And you are being such an ass. You're just making excuses not to be an ally to people who need help. Real altruistic.

Look up Earl Silverman in Canada. That's the case that really represents what's going on. It's not a matter of feminists actually picketing and shutting down shelters for abused men; they resist policy changes, specifically related to FUNDING. Essentially, even though we now know that nearly half of IPV victimizes men, feminist groups don't want to share funding, and it's very hard to fight the "men can't be victims" stigma to procure more funding just for men. You can even find some women on he…

I don't really agree with you in specific ways, like strategically voting against abortion, but I do think men should start pushing back hard on the bullshit progressivism. I think a lot of us would if we were not worried about backlash just for holding a different view. An example would be some of the talk around consent; I agree with consent but the level of explicit consent expected by some feminists is just fucking stupid. Like the belief that two drunk people fucking means either 1) the guy…

Feminism literally would have failed if not for some men being allies. Look up suffragents. Educate yourself. You should not be making excuses to avoid doing the right thing.

Look, it is like if you date a guy and things are going well but he doesn't spoil you in any way, doesn't buy you flowers, make grand gestures, get gifts for you or leave you little love notes, etc. Then, you meet his ex and find out he showered her with that kind of attention. Does that mean your relationship with him is bad? Or course not. But many women would understandably feel that kind of retroactive jealousy you describe in your post. That's the feeling. There is nothing wrong with having…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 05:02 PM

Where does that statistic come from? You know just because a poll, even one without sampling bias, says something, that doesn't mean it's actually true of the entire population.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 10:00 PM

It's ok. Women told me that it's all about personality. So, nothing to worry about.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 09:54 PM

I've never heard any man or woman say men are too dumb to manipulate or abuse women. Where are you hearing that as an excuse? Being more logical doesn't make all men smarter than all women, just like being more emotional doesn't make all women more empathetic and nurturing than all men.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 08:11 PM

I think feminism has reached a point where the only proper way to support it, whether one is a man or woman, is on a case by case basis. In other words, take each feminist tenant, argument or approach to a situation and examine it by itself and judge it in relative isolation. This is just a good practice when it comes to ideologies in general. We shouldn't have to sign up for some master list of ideals. We should take what we like and leave what we don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 08:05 PM
4

There is absolutely zero reason to choose to be a feminist over being an egalitarian. Egalitarianism is better as it isn't biased and doesn't wander into man hating and female superiority. Feminism is a subset of egalitarianism for people who want to centre women in everything. I prefer a fairer world view, thanks.

You have not given any real reasons why you think most available men make or appear to make bad partners. Your post is so vague it is hard to know what you actually mean. Look, it's not rocket science. Women like good looking men. Duh. Women like them so much that they can often get away with being dicks. Men who are not dicks and really wish women would like them see this and are resentful. Also duh. The problem has never been women liking good looking men. The problem has been and continues to…

Kind of tenuous, to be honest. I don't think you can compare an animal that is caged to a free woman who lives a rather privileged life in western society. I don't think it's the lack of options of mates that stresses animals in zoos out; it is just being in the zoo.

Effort has to mean money, though? That's a spoiled brat talking.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 11:31 PM

I'm not certain I agree, but I'm just saying I think when the game is rigged you shouldn't worry so much about playing nice or fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 09:18 PM

You said the way men act on here makes you think the stories women tell about the dating market (like how they are swimming in a sea of unacceptable men) are true. I think that's dumb.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 09:14 PM

I thought you were going to go further and say we should be duplicitous to succeed in the dating market. And I dunno, maybe we should. I don't fault any man for refusing to play by the rules of a game that is largely rigged against them, whether that means they outright refuse to play or they play dirty. I'd say do whatever you like within the confines of legality; let the losers worry about ethics while you win or at least give it a try before giving up entirely.

/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 08:40 PM
1

You have no idea what you are talking about with your blanket statements about how men are.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 08:37 PM
2

I don't believe you at all. I think there's plenty of men out there looking for something real. And the comments above do insinuate most of us are awful.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 08:20 PM
5

Of course this sub isn't a good indicator. There are like max 150k male users on this sub and something like 50 million men using dating apps. You believe in horseshit.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 08:19 PM
5

You referred to incels in your previous comment but it doesn't take an incel to feel hard done by in the dating world. Globally, there are around 60 - 100k incels. It's objectively obtuse to assume that among billions of people that variance doesn't exist. It's objectively stupid and petty to think I even meant there could be no variance in the first place and to pretend like men liking sex isn't the norm for the vast majority of the fucking planet lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 08:15 PM
7

Because with the amount of attention most women get, there is no way they aren't often presented with viable options. It makes it out to be like the vast majority of men are fucking monsters from the depths. Anyone who believes that is brain dead.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 06:58 PM
6

Lol JFC everyone who struggles must be an incel or incel "adjacent". Bottom line. Dating should not be as hard as it is for the average man. And you're objectively obtuse if you take issue with the claim men like sex lol.

Negative
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 06:54 PM

Lol oh yeah now I'm sure they'll stop
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 06:54 PM

Yeah well how do you think that goes over with women when you do? Your advice is just "if you can't have what you want, get over it". It's not wrong, but it also doesn't need to be said at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 05:24 PM

See you have inserted the "I'm a catch" part. I've never heard any guy say that. I believe that most guys don't get any matches on the apps in relation to women because we know that's true. We don't need stories. But we also know women get many many matches and we are expected to believe that they are all garbage even though most of them aren't even getting past the matching stage; like are you dating all these men before you are deciding they are trash? I doubt it. I think women just get the "i…

The swamp implies time wasters, men only after her body, men who are putting on acts to gain access to her body, men that only want her because she's a woman, not because he actually likes or respects anything about her, dangerous men etc. I can't believe you run into that many men like that. I don't believe the majority of men looking for connections online are either liars, sexists, or dangerous. Sounds made up.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 02:53 PM
14

I don't even believe this crap. You're telling me that all the attention women get on the apps (or off them) yields not one man who would date them seriously? I just don't believe it.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 02:49 PM

I mean, you're just dismissing the problem entirely. Lol Let's start telling women this when they complain about anything. Oh there is an orgasm gap? Who cares? You don't need an orgasm to live your life. You could say this dumb "pull up your socks" line to any problem. It's empty rhetoric.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 02:33 PM

If the term arrogant bothers you (because of the lack of an insult), then swap it out for conceited, pompous, vainglorious. Does that make more sense to you now?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 02:29 PM

Honestly it doesn't even matter if she is or she isn't. The act of proclaiming it is often what makes them arrogant.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/03/26 12:57 AM

A lot of the time it is, yes. Especially when it's online; it's attention seeking behavior. It's pretty cringe.

Of course it is lol

I think some people are just not happy when they see that kind of arrogance and they call it out. Do they have to say something about it? No. Did the person being arrogant have to say something? No. If you advertise yourself in any way, be ready for a range of reactions. I mean this is the age of social media. It's incredibly easy to judge people with zero repercussions. I don't have a lot of sympathy for people who post pics and vids of themselves showing off in any way and then act surprised w…

Boys don't talk each other up like girls do. If anything boys tear each other apart, albeit often it is in an endearing way. But we don't constantly butter each other up.

Another way to put it is that only societies that have achieved a certain level of comfort and ease have the luxury of debating gender equality and identify politics in general. It's a sign of prolonged prosperity. It's like if things are too easy for too long, at the societal level, people get bored and start to invent problems to fight over and causes to champion.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 01:57 PM
2

Oh sweetheart. All men rate women like that. It's just not all of us talk about it publicly. And some even lie about it so they seem all noble, but they still do it. Lol so innocent
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 01:50 PM

Yeah well people who call themselves beautiful like that rarely are (on the outside, anyway) and it is super cringe. Who gives a shit if people make fun of them?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 01:46 PM

Nah some women have just had their egos inflated their whole lives and think they have a golden pussy or something. You point it out and they look at you like you just spat at the feet of Royals lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 01:45 PM

Pfffff lol that's not oppression. That's just someone telling you you're aiming too high and you getting mad about it. Get real, sister.

First off, men not wanting to date fat women or single mothers has always been framed as a preference and many women have openly shamed men for even having that preference and definitely for expressing it. I don't know what planet you've been living on, but it is women who are hypocritical for judging men based on height and then getting upset when men judge women based on weight. This was like one of the most common debates on pill subs and podcasts for quite a while. RP men have been saying fo…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/03/26 01:33 PM

Who says sex can't be pleasurable without an orgasm?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 06:11 PM

Anecdotal, toots!
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 05:59 PM

Not if you enjoy having sex lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 05:50 PM

I'm hopeful this just focuses on the cringe nature of influencer culture and not on men in general. But I guess we will see.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 05:50 PM

Yeah and while I'm sure there must be decent feminists of both sexes out there, I do think the ones who announce it are usually not the good kind.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 05:04 PM

No, there are too many variables. But I would sign up for a trial run if that were possible lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 05:03 PM

I can't speak for him, but every man I've ever met who has identified himself as a feminist (like he's pronounced it) has been insufferable (arrogant, bossy, entitled, acts morally superior).
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 05:01 PM

In order to show it's impracticality, yes
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 03:36 PM

No I just assume it was you because you responded at the same time.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 02:45 PM

I didn't say anything about forcing anything I just wondered because you distinguish between what should be revealed about one's past and what shouldn't based on this idea of toxic patterns. Many view promiscuity as just that. I'm not saying I do. I hope you didn't down vote me for just asking a question.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 02:39 PM
4

I mean, you could say the same thing about male sexuality and the way it is expressed. Stop shaming men for being lustful and they will stop lying to get into women's pants. Etc etc. Shame isn't going away. Your advice is idealistic, not practical.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 02:24 PM
6

What do you say to the people who believe promiscuity, in and of itself, is a toxic pattern?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 02:23 PM

Right! Like I read OP's post and thought, is she on crack? People typically humble people when they are already hyped up by other people and it gets noticed. OP is just bitter. Look at how combative she is in her responses. She just wants to have a fight and try to push back on these bad men who told her she's mid lol
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 02:05 PM

They are valued by different people than the ones who try to humble them.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 01:43 PM

What are you talking about? Of course the two can be true at the same time. In fact, it makes perfect sense that they do. Generally, women are "overhyped" by each other and by mainstream society; they are privileged in many ways and they do have a lot of value (at least in the sense that their looks matter in early dating phases) from the start and without a lot of effort (compared to men). So, that is why some people (not mainstream people, but certainly RP folks for ex) try to knock them down …

I've never cheated. I thought about it once and didn't act on it because I was afraid of the consequences. Other than that, I've never been tempted.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 12:22 PM
3

Awww Is that what people say when they meet you? Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate11/03/26 12:15 PM
2

Yeah they likely are. Sorry I got my back up. I can really only speak for growing up as a boy. Nobody should be insinuating that either gender isn't exposed to expectations (some healthy and others not).
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 10:35 PM
-4

Yeah this is a biased view. From a man's perspective, we are taught from a young age how to treat women and girls are taught what to expect from men. All of us have heard the rules about girls since we were able to walk; never hit a girl (and they used to and sometimes still say even if she hits you first), treat your gf like a queen or princess, etc etc. I dunno what world you grew up in but you definitely aren't the only gender raised with such expectations.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 10:30 PM
2

Yeah the other one I have heard is "why do I keep attracting bad boys or toxic guys?" which I think could often be reframed as "why do I keep choosing them?" Whereas I've heard guys say "yeah she's a total bitch but the sex is sooo good" (which is equally stupid, of course).
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 06:00 PM
1

Ok I see what you are saying and I agree that men will put up with asshole women because the sex is good or they are attractive (or, more depressingly, they may not have other options at all and don't want to be alone). However, I think men are more honest about this than women. There is a disparity between how men and women talk about this. I think women tend to deny it when they are doing it.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 05:54 PM
2

Lol ok then always a moving goalpost. What are these women contributing?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 05:51 PM

So? What's your point? I didn't say OP mentioned toxic masculinity.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 05:26 PM

Btw I looked it up and as of 2024, about 12% of men and 13% of women aged 16-24 were classified as NEETs. So.....
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 04:56 PM

Nationally and globally, covering all manufacturing jobs, it's 2/3 men and 1/3 women roughly.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 04:49 PM
3

Lol I don't see how. Globally, men still do the lion's share of these jobs even with those sectors included. I just mentioned them because I didn't want to give the impression there were no sectors where women didn't comprise the majority of workers.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 03:44 PM
2

Outside of textiles and healthcare, men fill roughly 2/3 of manufacturing jobs across subsectors.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 03:13 PM
2

Nobody is saying all dirty jobs are done by men. But most are. You want me to list all of them against psw/nursing and daycare? It'll be a long list.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 03:10 PM
10

He's just saying that women say one thing and then act the opposite sometimes, especially when it comes to what they like in a man. I don't even know how anyone goes through life without picking up on that. For all the talk of "toxic masculinity", so many of those supposedly dark qualities endear women to the men who exhibit them, even turn them on romantically and sexually lol. All that seems to matter to a lot of women, especially when they are young and still sought after in the dating market…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 01:33 PM
12

Meh lots of women think they can define masculinity, so it seems like fair game.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 01:27 PM
3

A very few women compared to men work those jobs, though. Are we completely ignoring that?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 01:25 PM
1

Yeah I mean women are shown to have a much more significant in group bias, aren't they?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 01:40 AM
2

So we see this evolution in other animals? Like in primates? Like, what is the basis for the idea that this risk is something that affects women in this way where arousal is concerned?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 01:03 AM
1

What about rape fantasy and how popular that is supposed to be? Like is all this stuff just theory? I don't want to be one of the guys who says it's all bullshit out of hand, but it also seems strange that a basic animal function like sex is so complicated for one gender. I'm not sure that's natural. If it's real and as prevalent as people on here say, I think it may be more akin to the effects of heavy social media usage on the brain's dopamine levels or something; we've fucked up women's brain…
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 12:33 AM

I am uninformed about a lot of this, but I'm wondering how credible all of it is. Like, is all this theory or has it been proven in peer reviewed scientific studies? Seems like a very basic animal function is awfully complicated for one gender. That's not to say it all isn't accurate, but it is very odd if you ask me. And is this biological or have we socially conditioned women to need this feeling of safety for arousal (mindful that it certainly doesn't apply to all women; maybe just the averag…

That's not been my observation. Society forgives a lot of nasty shit if it's from a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 11:02 PM

Yeah that's bullshit. The western world kowtows to women more than men. Everyone is worried about offending you guys, not us. Lol what a joke.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 11:01 PM

There isn't a male equivalent to a whore but there are other labels. Let's not pretend "incel" and even plain old "misogynist" aren't tossed around like confetti these days. Even labeling masculine traits as "toxic" is sexist as hell. Men are called pigs, lazy, man child, small dick energy, there's short shaming etc etc. But you could never even admit men can be victims too, you probabky use terms like "punching down" to justify your own hatred. Yuck. You're playing the victim like you know anyt…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 10:59 PM

Because it's bullshit and you refuse to acknowledge that women are privileged in western society now. You want to play the victim even after everything you've gained and all the support you receive. It seems nothing can break that spell of delusion. You're the ones stuck in the past because being that way allows you to deny all the advantages you now have and promote misandry without repression. There is no such thing as toxic masculinity. There are toxic people. That's it. Try listing all the p…

Did I misunderstand your previous comment?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 09:47 PM

Lol delusion. Most of the mainstream narrative patholgizes the very idea of traditional masculinity. Default my ass.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 09:36 PM
2

And how does most of society respond to those labels? Does it reinforce them or does it lash out at the people who use them and call them misogynist and shame them? You really are blind to the support you receive. Nobody gets away with calling women those things nowadays. There is always backlash. That kind of response is not given when men are labeled in bad ways. Hell, you can openly use the term "toxic masculinity" and people will praise you for it. Ridiculous.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 09:35 PM
2

Lol yeah I think you overestimate how men and women view men. You actually think we are winning in terms of how people regard us as a group? What a joke. Women are desired AND generally respected, and when they aren't respected they get fiercely defended by men and women.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 09:00 PM
0

The delusion is yours. Women are just as shitty as men. We only pretend otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 07:40 PM

Yeah but that doesn't mean men would turn against women. It just means they are needed for that protection. Without them, women would suffer but not by their hands. Like what are you on right now? Lol
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 06:10 PM

I never said they would turn against anyone lol Are you quite alright, dear?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 06:09 PM

Who said men will turn against women. I didn't. I said what if men cops just blipped out, all the male cops were gone suddenly.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 06:00 PM

You responded like this to me too. Who is talking about turning against women?
