I am confused why mgtow people don't say anything about governments There's plenty of people shitting up the sub with political foaming-at-the-mouth nonsense.

This is stupid. What percentage of straight men refuse to date gay men? What percentage of straight women refuse to date gay women? Everyone is allowed to have a preference, I don't know what these knobs hope to accomplish.

That's one thing, but it doesn't seem to cover the worshipful devotion some of these guys have to someone like trump. It's more likely we've got leakage from other subs that got quarantined. Doesn't matter what a politician does, they don't have your interests in mind. They aren't important if you're going your own way.

It's important to do your own research on the news, since they are all terrible, and they all have their own propaganda to push. It's also important not to fall into mindless conspiracy theories yourself, just because the news said something, and someone on youtube said otherwise, and you liked what they said better. Confirmation bias is hard to get around, and we all need to see it when it affects us. Y2K, very dangerous problem. Computer will just all break. And we will die. That is what we we…

“An international 'marriage strike' by men is set to continue indefinitely until Family Law is reformed to recognize that fathers love their children too.” What a terrible thing to have to fight for. Of course fathers love their children, but we have to prove it, and even then it's denied.

Serious question, does Renault make decent cars now? In the 80's you could get an Alliance or a LeCar and they were terrible, and they were terrible compared to other cars in the 80's. I have to assume they have improved. Only thing I'd add to the list of needs here is a bike.

I dunno, here in the US I'm a bit jealous of some of the trucks that can be had in the rest of the world. ALL of our trucks are these huge behemoths. I just want a little basic truck that isn't complicated and doesn't cost $40,000. We used to have small trucks, but now the Tacoma, Colorado, Ranger, etc are high dollar huge monstrosities that still have little four cylinder engines under the hood. I have one of the last small trucks that was available in the US, it has 180k on it now and I don't …

More addictive than drugs, and not illegal yet. I've been riding for 20 years. My local Harley Davidson dealer does MSF courses on their little street 500's, the local Vo-Tech has an MSF course too. There are probably many different options where you live. Once you get that, get the gear (helmet, gloves, jacket, pants, boots) and get a bike you like, go find a parking lot to practice in. And don't listen to people who say "Get a 1000, you will get bored on a 400-500 cc", your mind cannot handle …

I went one day to buy a gun to end my life. I ended up wasting the money on a motorcycle instead. That was 20 years ago. People tell me they're dangerous. But they weren't there when an old Honda saved my life. Any hobby is better than being safe at home on reddit, anyway.

I was making $8.24 per hour when I got divorced back in 2000. Believe me, I had nothing except an old car, which I'd sold to my brother a month before the divorce. Believe me, she wasn't getting alimony from me. 20 years later? I'm a draftsman making good money, a nice motorcycle, decent house in a nice neighborhood. She has four children and just got divorced from the last husband, who didn't have any money either.
/r/MGTOW26/05/20 01:18 AM

That's an angle I had not considered - it's similar to when I steal section views from another drawing, though - maybe another drafter has a neater way of showing something. Or at least I won't have to draw the entire thing again.

Auto forums, how could I forget? One thing I tell people to do when they ask about a potential car purchase, is to look at a forum dedicated to that model of car. You will find a LOT of information about what will break on that car, before you even see it in person.

I'm not a professional mechanic, but I've fixed enough stuff to not be the least surprised when a real mechanic gets on youtube. Sometimes the youtube video shows you that one thing it would have been very helpful to know before you got started. It's worth mentioning that coders google stuff when they are stuck, IT guys google stuff when they are stuck, I even caught my doctor looking up symptoms on google. Sometimes I myself have to search for some command or other for Autocad. The trick is kno…

You don't hold a recurve/longbow back for long. If you have a more modern bow, you'll find that it has a certain percentage of "let-off", meaning you only have to hold 20% or 35% of the total draw weight. Most people who still shoot "traditional" don't use much draw weight, however. 25 pounds or so. The bow pictured above is set to 50 pounds to save my aging elbow, but it is capable of 75 pounds - and even at 50 pounds, is considerably more powerful than old longbows were.

I've been shooting a bow since I was six, and that's always bugged me about this picture. For that matter, almost no movie gets it right when dealing with archery, especially with regards to fingers, bow position, or anchor point.

I have a perfectly serviceable three year old Moto X4. It does all the normal phone stuff - I can ignore anyone who has the audacity to call me, delete all incoming text messages, completely fail to have a facebook account, read e-books, and use the GPS. It's never been on a bus with me, but I've had to hold it in my hand while I try to decide which motorcycle to ride.

I stopped a woman in her mental tracks the other day. She was talking about something, I wasn't paying attention since I was at the gym, and I go to the gym for myself. But I heard her say something about "incels" (Possibly "you're working out instead of being at home like an incel") and I was struck by inspiration: I said "What's does incel mean? I haven't kept up with all the lingo the kids are using." with genuine curiosity in my voice. Completely derailed. She looked at me like I had a frog …

We could elevate more of the world into a better standard of living, if we start mining and manufacturing off-world, and here's a wild suggestion, bear with me here, have fewer babies. Every environmental problem we're facing right now is caused by too many people. That's not to say we need to have a lottery and select people for removal, but just have fewer new people. Either that, or Bill Burr's "Final Solution".

You have a tight family of 4. You can only sell them one refrigerator. You systematically break them to live separately, you sell 4 refrigerators. To further elaborate on your refrigerator example: You sell one refrigerator to a family of four. Fridge stops working one day, husband takes a look at it, determines it's a $13 timer for the defrost cycle or something, fixes fridge, doesn't buy new one. Apply this to every product.

The only issue is whataboutism? If I'm leaving the country tomorrow, then I made a bad decision by buying ANY car. If I'm trading cars right after buying a new one, that would cost MORE than buying a car and sticking with it. That's just silly. If circumstances change where I can't drive anymore, the car will be the least of my worries. Are you seriously so broke that all of this is of dire importance?

It will never generate you any more return than a 15 year old Honda but will cost an order of magnitude more. A 15 year old honda that you buy today will not last as long as a new honda that you buy today. You buy the new one, then drive it until it's 15-20 years old. Take into account that a used car that is only a few years old costs almost as much as a new car, and the "Buy a used car no matter what" makes less and less sense. I originally had a set of steel ammo cans mounted, and they worked well, but they were very heavy. When I made the aluminum ones, I had access to a CNC laser and a press brake, so it was trivial to cut out the parts and bend them, and I was given the material. I'm not yet able to weld aluminum, so I riveted them together. The stock front sprocket for the DR650 is a 15 tooth. I know something is wrong today, when I see articles telling parents "Leave something important in the back seat so you don't forget your children". Dumbass, the important thing in the backseat is your child. I never once left either of my children in the car, and now they're old enough to just get out on their own (Son is 19, daughter is 5) I'm not as worried about it - I'm typically talking to my daughter when driving anyway, makes me wonder how people "forget" their kids in the first place. I'm sure that is possible, but to what effect? You think they'll put her in jail for it? Assuming the cops actually do their jobs in this instance, and lock her up, it would be a problem. Maybe when he graduates See above line in my post. He's still in high school for about another month. Not everyone has enough money to up and move out as soon as they are 18, not everyone has the opportunity to get a high-paying job when they turn 18, especially when they've been conditioned by Mommy to give her money to take care of all the children, both adult and minor. When he does graduate, I can get him a job where I work - where he can learn a trade and get paid to do it.

The average new car has fifty computers in it now. I'm... not sure about that. I've worked on a few cars made in the last ten years or so, and have yet to come across a car with fifty computers. Most have an ECM for the engine, and a BCM that controls the rest of the car - takes inputs from the gas pedal, switches, etc and either sends that info to the ECM or sends an output to the part of the car being activated - like a power window or something. I could see something stupid expensive having m…

It's not exactly correct... Lets see if I can explain. Lets say you make $10 per hour. (Using that number because the math is easier.) After a 40 hour work week, you'll have $400 before taxes. You'll have one tax rate for that $400. Now let's say, you work some OT, another ten hours on Friday. (Because you work a 4-10's job, right?) That extra day, you get paid 1.5x your normal rate, so you get $150 for that day, and that $150 is taxed at a higher rate. The $400 you made at your normal non-overt…

metal fab This is a trap. You don't know it's happening until it's too late. First, you buy that bridgeport, because hey, you've always wanted one. But the mill is lonely over there, all by itself. Better get a lathe to keep it company. Man, sure would be nice if I had a bandsaw to cut stock for that lathe, so here comes the Hemsaw. Hard to load stock into the Hemsaw, might look at getting a forklift. Better get yourself a Miller 211 while you're at it. Know what would be nice? A press brake. Ha…

I did a bit of it when I was in my mid-20's. I'd say you're 100% right about waiting for your brain to develop. I however am in my late 30's, and the only developing my brain is doing is what I force it to. I'm trying to teach myself SOME kind of programming language (Working on Javascript right now) and it's hard to make myself focus on it.
/r/MGTOW09/02/19 11:04 PM

That might help, but I'm kinda a stick in the mud about mind-altering substances. I don't drink or smoke weed, because then I can't use what little brain I DO have. That's not to say I'd stop anyone else from smoking a joint - that's absurd - but it's not for me.

I was "diagnosed" with ADD as a kid. Any medication that was given to me either made the "problem" worse or made ME worse, so as soon as I was able I started spitting that stuff out when nobody was looking. I don't see it as a problem. Instead of watching sports or TV, I'll go for a ride, or do some needed maintenance on the house/car/bike/whatever, play a video game. Something that engages me.
/r/MGTOW09/02/19 08:13 PM

I've never watched it... But it is because there's something wrong with me. I can't sit still for movies or TV shows. I have to go do something. Video games are easier, but still 30 min max before I get twitchy. I've been like this as long as I can remember, and smartphones didn't exist until I was 25 or so, so it's not "modern technology" doing it.

I learned some years ago, and i wish I'd learned it as a teenager: When she's getting mad, do not engage. Best thing is to grab the helmet, grab the gloves, walk outside, ride the motorcycle. Don't yell, don't argue. Don't even speak. She will accuse you of running away from problems, call you a wimp, etc etc, because she needs you to stay and fight. Nothing is more effective than removing yourself from the situation.

The part I don't know how to do, and haven't tried to do, is refining the oil that comes from the plastic into something more like gasoline. Gasoline isn't one chemical either, it's a whole soup of different things like detergents, antiknock additives, etc. The big ones are Heptane, Hexane, and Octane. It would be difficult, but not impossible, to isolate these different alkanes, and add them together to get what you want. Basically, you'd have to make your own refinery/distillation tower. Havin…

That's actually not that hard to do, it's something that can be made in your back yard. Plastic pyrolysis. Heat it up in the absence of air, bubble it up through some water, and you'll end with something between kerosene and gasoline, which can be refined further. It's literally something that can be done with discarded metal drums and metal tubing.

Thankfully, I didn't have to deal with the egg donor (I'm reluctant to even call her a woman) who hit my son, but I had to deal with quite a lot else, and if he asked me, I'd explain, but I'd tell him I didn't want to talk about it. They're steel toe boots with a metatarsal guard. Metatarsals, I'm sure you know, are the bones between your phlanges in your foot, (Toes) and your tarsals. (ankle bones) The big flat armored bit over the laces is the metatarsal guard, and they protect your feet from very heavy dropped items, in excess of what normal steel toe boots will protect you from. They will also offer a bit of protection from sparks, flying slag, etc, which you don't want getting into your boot through the laces! They're …

Practice Self-Love by doing the basics you know you should be doing. Love your body. Take it out for a run so it can breathe. Finding myself gaining weight was a bit of wake up call... I was just sitting around too much. I have trouble running, due to foot problems I received in the army. So I bought a bicycle... a pretty nice recumbent. Every time I ride that thing, I feel better afterwards. Queasy? Ride and drink lots of water. Rough day at work? Bicycle. Life pointless? Bicycle. Doesn't matte…

The difference between now and the 70's/80's is how much kids/people move around. Kids don't spend all day now riding bikes and running through the woods or other outdoor activities. No, they sit at home nose in thier mom's phone screen, which doesn't burn as many calories. Mom is too busy to take care of the kid she begged for incessantly, because Facebook or her female-power call center job.

I think it's simpler. But here's the deal with CNC programming. You don't write directly in G-code any more than you would write in 0's and 1's. You'll use a CAD/CAM program... and if you can do 3D modeling in something like Blender or Inventor, you're halfway there. You have to assign feedrates and tools to different features (holes and cuts) to get them to cut correctly. As for running the machine itself, you may have to work in the G-code a bit depending on the control you have. If you're usi…

I did this once. It was funny. It was claimed that I had pulled their car out with my little truck. I said I couldn't have, with said little truck. (Mitsubishi Mighty Max). The punchline was, the Mighty Max was a diesel 4wd, and with low range it would drag quite a lot, especially a little civic.

It was an old bike, and there's a somewhat sad and, actually, MGTOW story behind why I purchased it all those years ago. Now my stable includes my DR650, a very old 1400 Intruder, and an even older Husqvarna WR250. I'd recommend something like the XL250R (Or XT250, or TW200, or WR250R, or CRF230, or TT225, or or or) over a pure motocross bike, when trail riding. A four stroke bike is easier to deal with. Large yard, and a Honda XL250R. I would recommend a Beginner's riding course. There should be one locally that provides bikes, small ones around 250cc, all you'll need is a jacket, helmet, and gloves. You'll learn clutch control, low speed maneuvering, which sounds silly until you realize that most motorcycle wipeouts happen at speeds less than 30 mph.

There were two I was given. Ritalin, which was so popular at the time (late 80's to early 90's) which didn't do much I could really see. The other was something called, I think, Wellbutrin or Willbutrin. That stuff turned me into a horrible hate filled little monster, at a time where I was starting puberty, so I was just feeling peachy. Fucking dammit this makes me so mad. I dealt with this when I was younger. I was a kid who liked to read books, and was constantly reading instead of paying attention, so the answer MUST have been that I have ADD. Once there was a " diagnosis", no more thought was needed, just drug me up. They convinced my parents, who didn't know any better, that it would help. It messed me up so bad mentally as a kid, and I at one point flatly refused to take the meds anymore. I could tell it was turning me in…

Story time: In the Tulsa area, there was issue with women in well to do neighborhoods getting bent out of shape being interviewed on the local news because of the people who maintained the power lines cutting the trees out of the lines - basically, bird sits on a line, bird poops a seed, seed grows into a tree that is under the line and now there is a power line through a huge tree. When I was a kid I lived in Virginia... in VA a woman could go after 100% of your paycheck, and if you got a second job, go after that too... But it wasn't all slanted in the woman's favor. At the time, (late 80's) if it was found that you'd been paying child support on a kid that wasn't actually yours, all that money was then owed to you. I'd like to think it's still that way, but I'm betting it's changed.

Thankfully not all states do child support the same. Some work on a formula based on what the man makes at the time he's dragged into court.
/r/MGTOW01/03/18 10:21 PM

In some states (Oklahoma for example) child support is set according to a formula. This formula takes into account the father's pay, the mother's pay, how many days are spent with each parent per year, and the amount spent of health insurance by each parent. Which is nice when you have some litigious that who thinks she won't have to work because she begged a kid out of you.
