If a marriage counselor doesn’t completely side with the women she will keep shopping for counselors until she finds one that does. This is per a female marriage counselor I know. She was a young naive feminist when she started but over the years she started hating women.

Actually when I did marriage counseling, the counselor didn’t side with my wife at all. In fact both of them, one male one female, we changed because my ex thought a woman would be better since the male psychologist blamed her for the problems.

The woman said the same things, the marriage was one sided, she did less than the bare are minimum and the relationship continued solely because I willed it and on my dime. She didn’t even want the children. She just wanted to go to restaurants and travel even though we had 4 children one with cancer. Was a catastrophic waster of money. Didn’t want to work etc.

So buried under medical bills on top of her complaining she wanted to go eat sushi at Michelin rated restaurants with a kid in the hospital with a terminal illness. For once the judge didn’t side with the woman.

So we divorced, she did not want alimony and I kept the kids. It just feels like I wasted 8 years of my life though and I did.

My wife and I haven't been to MC since our counselor, a woman, didn't intervene when I lost my shit at my wife.

Short story I caught my wife in an online affair. Wife tried to blame me for pushing her to it. I wasn't having it at all.

Wife hasn't asked to go back since. Actually told me she was going alone to sever ties and get a referral somewhere else.

Now wife is seeing her alone for counseling.
